Yang romance omake. People showed interest in it and I figured, hey, why not write about Best Girl scoring a win? But then you might ask, if she's Best Girl then where does the comedy come from? Well, you'll see.

Yang Xiao Long was a Maiden in love.

Those weren't words she'd ever thought would be used to describe herself, but that was where she was. Granted the Maiden in this scenario was less a princess and more a weapon of mass destruction that could make the forces of nature their bitch, but the point still stood. Yang Xiao Long was a Maiden and she was very much in love with one Jaune Florentius Arc.

She didn't even know how it happened. It snuck up on her like a stink bomb on the gym lockers. One minute she was just hanging out with Jaune and talking about what they'd do once they graduated and suddenly it clicked to her that she didn't even want to think about what life would be like without him next to her.

Yang almost laughed at that. Back before Beacon she'd always had it set in her mind that she'd always have to leave her team. That was the way most Huntsmen teams ended up, actually. Oh sure, Vale and Vacuo encouraged sticking together (while Atlas and Mistral did the opposite), but the truth of the matter was that it just wasn't feasible. People had different goals and, at the end of the day, Huntsmen went where the money was.

Hell, all she had to do was look at mom's team. They stuck around for a year or two after Beacon but they went their separate ways eventually. Even before mom died she was going on solo missions while dad was already teaching at Signal. Partners had a higher chance of sticking around, but even then that was a crapshoot. Blake wanted to do more for the Faunus, so she probably wouldn't have wanted to follow Yang with her plans to just explore Remnant for adventures.

Yang had accepted that, and she figured that they could always keep in contact no problem. It was all good.

...Until she thought of Jaune leaving too and she had that painful ache in her chest.

Now, Yang wasn't a woman to sit on her hands or deny her feelings like Blake or Weiss would've done. She loved them and all, but their pictures would've shown up in the dictionary definition for tsundere. So, she did what came naturally to her. She kicked in the door to their dorm, stomed over to where Jaune was, then grabbed him by the collar and made out with him right in front of the rest of their team.

Normally she wouldn't have minded an audience, but Ruby was right there when she did it too, so...kinda awkward. Oh well, no regrets! "You and me, Grimm Slayer."

"W-Wait, what?" Jaune sputtered, the adorable dork.

"Go out with me." Yang grinned. She wrapped her arms around his neck and looked up at him with twinkling lilac eyes. She would've done more, but again, audience, "Come on, don't make me beg now."

"...You're serious? This isn't some kind of joke? You're not gonna pull out a camera and say 'gotcha!' if I say yes?"

"Hey now, I joke around, but I'm not a bitch." She pouted up at him. It wasn't as good as Ruby's, but she was still a killer with it, "Is that a no?"

"N-No! I mean yes! I mean..." He took a deep breath and repleid, "Yes. I'd...love to go out with you, Yang."

"Great choice."

And then she kissed him again. Ruby's eyes widened and she covered her mouth with both hands. Weiss' face was flushed a dark shade of red and she looked like someone watching a porno. Prude. Blake, of course, just raised a brow cause she was too good to ever show emotions like a normal person.

Things went great after that. Jaune was every bit the doting and sweet boyfriend she thought he'd be and Yang, much to her own surprise, basked in being spoiled. Breakfast in bed, Aura massages (and boy were the rest of the girls jealous about that!), and even letting him style her hair. Ruby looked like she'd swallowed an egg when she saw that. It was worse than when they made out in front of them the first time.

That wasn't to say Yang was just all take and no give, of course. She gave him personalized training, taught him how to ride a bike, and a few extra special things that wasn't to be shared in polite company. All she had to say was that Weiss complained a lot about Yang leaving a sock on the doorknob.

Then she got the call. Her scroll rang one early morning and she froze when she saw her dad's name on the screen, "...Uh-oh." She stopped spooning Jaune - she was the big spoon cause of course she was - and answered the call, "H-Hey, dad!" she said, voice just a little too high. She made Ruby promise on Crescent Rose that she wouldn't tell him. There was no way she was gonna put Jaune through the Taiyang Xiao Long Special. Not to be confused with the Taiyang Xiao Long Surprise, which were the best ribs this side of Remnant.

"Hey, Yang. What's up?"

"Uh...you called me, dad."

"So I did, so I did." He laughed. That was not a good sign, "So...heard you've gotten really close to one of your teammates."

"Well, I mean, we're all close!" Jaune stirred next to her, "Tean RWBY-J, just one big happy family!"

"Right, right. So...you and this Jaune guy. You sharing anything special?"

Yang looked down at her chest, which was covered by his pumpkin pete's hoodie. Blake had rolled her eyes the first time she went to bed with it and called it 'painfully cliche'. Yang just stuck her stuck out and accused her of being jealous.

"I mean, all relationships are special if you think about it-"

"I know you're dating him, Yang." Oh...crap. Jaune finally woke up next to her and mumbled about wanting to be the big spoon next, "Oh, spooning already? And the big spoon too? Guess I shouldn't be surprised." He laughed again, "So...I called up Ozpin and I told him that I was coming to visit."

"O-OH?! Well, I should-"

"I'm outside the room, Yang."

...Crap!

Yang looked around in a panic and cursed when, for once, the rest of the team was nowhere to be found, "What's going on?" Jaune asked, shaking the sleep from eyes.

"Dad's here!" Yang swung her legs over the bed and quickly put on a pair of boxers over her underwear, "Listen, I'm gonna go distract dad. You jump out the window and take the stash of money we saved up to Mistral. I'll meet you there." She was a badass and a Maiden on top, but she knew better than to think she could stop Taiyang Xiao Long. There were just things that didn't happen.

"...You're acting like Blake." Okay, that was just low! Before she could voice her offense, he stood up and walked to the door, "Come on, we can't put it off forever. You're gonna have to do the same thing with my family at some point."

"Jaune, wait-"

She tripped on the blanket and fell on her face just as Jaune opened the door. Yang cried out in pain - it didn't actually hurt because of Aura, but it was the principe of the thing! Dad stepped inside and looked down at his little dragon sprawled out on the floor like Uncle Qrow after an all-night bender, "...Nice jammies, kiddo."

"Ugh, dad..." Yang stood up and stood defensively in front of her boyfriend. Thank the Gods he wasn't wearing the onesie, at least, "I know you said you'd act super overprotective if Ruby ever got with someone, but could just...not with me? I really like Jaune and I'm in this for the long haul."

"I...think you're misunderstanding something here."

He laughed again and they all sat down. If she couldn't run away then she was gonna fight tooth and nail to keep her boyfriend safe. No way was she gonna let her teddy bear get pounded into-

"Jaune, are you sure about dating Yang?" Yang blinked. Wait, what? "Cause you know there's still some time to back out. I won't blame you if you do."

"I would!" Yang shouted, eyes red.

"Thanks for looking out for me, Tai, but I made my choice." Tai? Since when the hell did these two get so close? "I mean, yeah, Yang can be a real handful sometimes, but she makes it all worth it in the end. It's like whenever I'm with her I feel invincible, you know?"

"Yeah. I felt the same with Raven before she ran off."

"Dad, I really fucking hope you're not implying what I think you are." Yang's eyes narrowed.

"What? No, of course not. You might have inherited some things from Raven, but you aren't a coward and someone who dodges responsibility." He seemed legitimately offended she even implied he'd think that way about her, "All I'm saying is I'm worried about Jaune and I wanna make sure that he knows what he's getting into. Someone has to look out for him."

"Uh, what about his own parents?" Yang stood up, "And what the hell? Aren't you supposed to be here to threaten to rip his balls off if he ever breaks my heart?"

"Do you want me to do that?"

"No, but it's the principle of the thing!" She threw her hands up, "I definitely didn't expect my dad to act like my boyfriend's parent instead of mine!"

"Yang, I'm pretty sure there's nothing I can say that could beat whatever you'd do to him if he was dumb enough to break your heart."

"What he said," Jaune shrugged, "That and Tai and I are friends."

"You're what?" Yang rounded on him now.

"Oh yeah, he had to call me as Qrow's emergency contact after he got too drunk even for him. We started talking and, hey, we actually had a lot in common. He's actually coming over to Patch next weekend to help me with my garden."

"I had seven sisters and my mom thought I needed more attention. You pick up a few things." Jaune shrugged again "Oh, did you got those new Mistralian rose seeds? It's the perfect season for them!"

"You know it." Dad gave Jaune double finger guns, which Jaune returned with a pair of his own. She wanted to gag. First Professor Port then Uncle Qrow and now her dad? What was with Jaune and making friends with old guys?

Yang shook her head and stomped out of the room feeling pissed off. Whatever. Things couldn't get worse, right?

...

Why the fuck did she think that? Now it was definitely gonna get worse.

Things got worse.

It was bad enough that Jaune had more in common with her dad than even she did, apparently, but it was as if the rest of the team suddenly decided to be assholes or something. Those first two weeks? Perfect honeymoon period. She and Jaune could do whatever they wanted and the rest of the team gave them their space. It was nice. She even thought about getting them a gift as thanks for being so understanding.

Now she wanted to strangle them.

Where should she start? Oh, how about Blake. Her partner, her sister from another mister, the one she trusted the most to watch her back no matter how flakey she sometimes acted.

Yeah, scratch that. She could go climb up a tree.

Yang smiled brightly as she hugged Jaune's arm. The two of them were out on Vale for their requisite date night...and also celebrating cause she totally won the Vytal Tournament! Eat it, Cereal Girl! Okay, maybe she had to use her Maiden powers to make gauntlets out of fucking fire, but in her defense Pyrrha also yanked Ember Celica out of the ring with her own Semblance. Fair was fair.

"You sure you don't wanna celebrate with the others?" Jaune asked.

"Nah, all I want today is just you and me, lover boy." She winked up at him, not so subtly feeling up the muscles under his stupidly loose hoodie. While he wasn't a big muscleman like dad on Sun, his physique was more like Uncle Qrow, the months of work were definitely showing results, "Now come on, let's go to that restaurant I told you about. I reserved it for my victory dinner."

"How'd you know you were going to win?"

Yang gasped, "Jaune! Are you telling me that you didn't have the utmost faith in your awesome girlfriend winning the championship?! That sounds like someone who wants to be the little spoon again!"

"Wait, I take it back!" He pressed his hands together and looked down to her with an exageratted pout, "Please don't send me back there, Yang!"

"Hmm, I'll think about it!" She pressed herself closer to him and giggled. Jaune laughed too and kissed the top of her head. A few people turned to look at them, some of them glaring daggers at the luckiest guy in Vale. Probably her fault. The Defenders of Vale were still a hot topic and one of them being officially taken off the market was bound to draw some resentment.

The place was expensive, but some of the winnings she had would go to covering it. The busty blonde leaned back on her seat and grinned at the way a few of the snootier customers scoffed and sneered at them. 'You don't belong here,' their eyes seemed to say. Well, they could shove it right up their ass. They'd saved Vale, she won the Vytal, and they were gonna do even more, so this place could take her money.

And then everything got ruined.

"Excuse me, Miss, you can't just-"

"It's an emergency!" An all too familiar voice countered. Blake shoved her way past the hostess and beelined for their table, "Jaune, thank God I found you. You need to come with me now."

"Wait, what?"

"Hey, hey, hey! What's going on?" Yang interrupted.

Blake looked around. Most of the people were looking or glaring at them now, "I...may not have told my parents just yet that me and Jaune aren't actually dating and they've come to visit." Yang looked at her with an open mouth as her partner continued to rattle on, "And I know you said I should be honest, but that takes time. I'm not ready yet. Jaune has to come with me right now.

"Blake-"

"No way!" Yang slammed her hands on the table, "I told you to come clean weeks ago! It's not my fault you're a lying kitty!"

"I'll tell them at some point! Next week! ...Maybe!" Blake's scroll rang, "And look, I'm going to investigate the you know what after and I need someone I can trust to keep a low profile anyway. Two birds with one stone!"

She didn't get the chance to tell Blake that she'd be taking Jaune over her dead body before the Faunus picked up her boyfriend and princess carried him outta there, shouting excuses that this would be the last time and that she was so great for understanding.

Yang was left just standing there gaping seconds after Blake and Jaune were out of sight.

"Erm...should we start with the appetizers?" a nearby waiter asked.

Yang screamed and flipped over her table. She had to pay for it and got banned for a month.

Oh, and what about Weiss? Little miss Weiss Schnee, the oh so proper heiress to the SDC. Yang thought that the worst she'd have to deal from her was a few comments about how much she and Jaune got it on.

Oh no, she would've taken that over this.

"Oh man, this is gonna be so awesome!" Yang looked up at the packed camper car and grinned. The semester break had come up and the two had planned a two week trip with just the two of them. Maybe they could go with the rest of the team next year, but right now she just wanted to enjoy Jaune all to herself while the honeymoon period was still going strong.

And maybe she just wanted to keep him away from them. Blake's little interruption had pissed her off something fierce and she still hadn't forgiven the kitty cat for that stunt. It didn't help that she refused to apologize and claimed that she didn't do anything wrong since her little investigation led to them stopping a White Fang cell planning to poison the Vytal food stalls. Which, fair, but that didn't mean she had to be happy about it!

"This is gonna be fun," Jaune said next to her. The two of them were already down at Vale making the final preparations, "Me and my family went out camping all the time before I went to Beacon. Trust me, I know the best spots!"

"Ooh, gonna be the manly man this trip?" Yang looked up at him with a teasing smirk.

"You laugh now, but when we're in the middle of nowhere and your only food is canned meat and instant oatmeal, you're gonna beg for my expertise. Beg, Yang!" He crossed his arms and looke down at her with a smirk of his own.

"Oh really?" She quirked up a challening brow and laughed when she grabbed his hips and pressed him close. Even now his face still turned to the cutest shade of red, "I don't think I'm going to be the one who's going to be begging, lover boy." He gulped as her hands crawled under his shirt to feel the muscles underneath, "What's say we see what it's like doing it under the stars-"

"There you are!" Yang jerked back and pulled her hands off just as Weiss stomped up to the both of them. She looked pissed, which was pretty normal as far as Weiss' mood was most days, "What are you doing down here?!"

"Uh...preparing for a trip?" Jaune gestured to the camper, "Me and Yang are-"

"That was this break?" Weiss blinked then shook her head, "Well, there's going to be a change of plans. You're coming with me to Atlas."

"Woah, what?!" Yang shouted, "Nuh-uh, Ice Queen! We've been planning this trip for weeks!"

"So have I." She arched a perfectly manicured brow. Yang wanted to punch her in the face, "Look, I've made it clear that I need Jaune's support when it comes to talking with my family. Father's recalled me back home and I can't ignore his summons. Er go, Jaune has to come with me to Atlas right now."

"Take Ruby and Blake with you!"

"Yes, I'm sure taking Blake to the meet the face of the SDC's corruption will go over so well." Weiss rolled her eyes. Urge to punch face rising! "And Ruby...well, I care for her dearly, but she wouldn't be much help in this scenario, unfortunately." She sighed dramatically, "No, I'm afraid it has to be Jaune. I'm sure you can postpone your trip for another time, but I can't."

"Weiss, come on, don't you think you're being unreasonable?" Jaune asked.

"I think I'm being very reasonable, Jaune. And besides," She rummaged through her purse and brought out a folded sheet of paper, "You signed the contract before you and Yang started dating. You wouldn't break the terms, would you?"

Yang grabbed the paper from the heiress' hands and looked through it quickly. What the fuck?! What did she mean she was entitled to him two weekends out of the months?! And...was this a contract saying that she had the right to take him with her back to Atlas after graduation for at least two years?! What in the goddamn shit hell?!

"I'll have to revise the contract later, of course. With you and Yang dating I assume you'll both want to come back with merather than be seprated. Don't worry, I assure you both that the missions in Atlas pay very fairly and you'll both want for noth-"

Yang ripped the paper into little pieces then, as both Jaune and Weiss watched, she turned them into ash with a fireball from her palm.

"Oops." Yang grinned down at the smaller girl.

Weiss just scoffed, "Really, Yang? I'm the heiress to the SDC. You act like that's the only copy. I have a dozen more secretly stashed away, not to mention the electronic copies. I assure you all it's also very legally binding, so..." She looked to Jaune again, "Come on, Jaune. The Bullhead's already waiting for us."

Jaune looked at her with an apologetic wince, "Sorry, Yang. An Arc never goes back on his word, and that includes contracts. I promise I'll make it up to you!"

Once again, Yang could only gape as she watched her boyfriend be dragged off yet again. She ended up burning the camper down. She didn't get the deposit for it back.

And what about Ruby? Her sweet little sister, one of the people she cared most about in this fucked up world...and she wanted to strangle her.

Unlike Weiss and Blake there wasn't one big incident, but in some ways that made it worse. It snuck up on her, adding more and more weight till eventually she couldn't move. A date night planned? Oh, there was this new comic convention coming up and Jaune promised they'd go together! Snuggling up to him in the morning? She'd pull Jaune out of bed cause the new Weapons Magazine came out and they had to get there super early, as if anyone was actually going to be there to buy it ahead of her.

And so on and so forth? But the worst part of it was? Yang let it happen. She could never really say no to Ruby on anything and every single time she tried Ruby would pout or just sadly say that it was totally fine, she guessed, it wasn't like she was looking forward to it or anything.

Well, no more!

Yang stomped her way back to the dorm room, eyes red and hair blazing. She was gonna put her foot down today, damn it! Jaune was her boyfriend, not theirs! They had to learn to clean up their messes!

Yang kicked down the door again and stopped when she saw an all too familiar sight: Weiss, Ruby and Blake sitting in a semi-circle with an empty chair in front of them, "Good, you're back." Weiss steepled her hands together, "We need to talk, Yang."

"...What?" Her rage was replaced with utter confusion.

"It concerns a subject that involves us all." Weiss coughed and gestured to both Blake and Ruby, "The three of us have been talking and, well, we have to put our foot down." They were going to fucking what?! "I know you're excited to be dating Jaune, and we're all happy for you, but don't you think you're hogging him just a bit too much?"

"Excuse me?" She didn't know whether to laugh or scream in frustration.

"We gave you two weeks, you know," Blake said like she'd just done her a massive favor, "We dealt with everything on our own cause you guys were so happy, but we couldn't keep it up forever."

"Uh, you really should cause that's what people normally do!"

"Don't be mean, Yang!" Ruby crossed her arms, "Jaune's our teammate too, so he can't just spend all the time hanging out with you!"

"He doesn't spend all his time hanging out with me. I know that cause you guys keep grabbing him for something you should be doing on your own!" She shouted back, "And also, Jaune's my boyfriend. Mine. Fucking excuse me for wanting to do stuff with the guy I'm dating and not want to pawn him off to my teammates cause they can't even tie their own shoelaces!"

"There's no need for insults, Yang." Weiss sighed and stood, walking over to a nearby flipped board, "Not to worry. We came up with a solution for our problems."

"Does it involve solving your own problems?"

Weiss ignored her the only way an heiress used to getting everything she wanted could, "Here." She flipped the board around to show off a crude weekly schedule, "As you can see, we discussed amongst ourselves and came up with a Jaune schedule that should benefit us all. Mondays and Tuesdays will be for me, Wednesdays and Thursdays for Blake, and Friday and Saturday for Ruby. We left Sunday open for his own free time."

There were...a lot of things she wanted to say right now, but the first thing that came out was, "Where the hell is my spot?"

"Oh, you don't have a designated schedule, but you do have this." Weiss gestured to a crude drawing of Yang's face likely done up by Ruby, "Once every week, you are allowed to veto the schedule and spend time with Jaune."

"Wha- why the fuck do I only get one?! That means you guys have more time with Jaune than me! You know, his fucking girlfriend?!"

"We thought it was fair since you spent those two weeks uninterrupted," Blake said, "We can maybe change it later, but you acting so greedy isn't a good sign."

Oh, that did it. She was going to throw hands right here and now!

Or at least she would have until her scroll rang and someone else chose the wrong fucking day to piss her off.

"You know this is a bad idea," Jaune said. The blonde noodle was currently chained up and surrounded by what remained of the Branwen clan. They'd kidnapped him to act as bait for Yang cause they figured they could somehow kill the Spring Maiden when she was pissed off and ready for them

All in all it was an average Wednesday.

"Shut up, weakling," Vernal scoffed.

"No, seriously. Let me go now and Yang probably won't glass you all from the stratosphere."

"We said shut it!" Shay D. Mann (seriously) growled down at him, "Quit it with the tough guy act, kid. We know you're scared; and you should be. The only reason we didn't cut your throat is cause you're more useful to us alive than dead. Soon as Raven's brat is dead you are too."

Jaune didn't say anything and just looked up past Shay at the roaring comet headed straight for the bandit camp. Oh well, he tried to warn them.

Said comet landed in the middle of a huge cluster of bandits, making a ten foot deep creater in the earth. Right in the center of it was one Yang Xiao Long who looked more pissed than he'd ever seen her. Her eyes were an even darker shade of red than normal, her hair was so hot it had gone from yellow to blinding white, and all that came out of her mouth was growls.

"Shoot her!"

They did, and then they stopped when they realized Yang's fire was so hot that she was literally melting the bullets before they could touch her. The bandits looked at one another and Vernal coughed, shifting from one foot to another.

"...We surrender?"

It didn't help them. Jaune tuned out the pleas for mercy and cries about how arms and legs weren't mean to bend that way. Again, he tried to warn them. In the meantime he picked the lock with a lockpick her kept hidden and managed to get it off just as Yang literally stomped Vernal into the dirt. Then she twisted her foot around for good measure. Then she stomped on her throat.

Vernal groaned. Still alive, but probably wishing she wasn't.

"Hey, Yang-"

The other blonde grabbed him by the collar and pulled him into a kiss. It was different than her last one this. This one was hungrier - angrier, but not at him. She shoved her tongue inside and probed so deep he almost couldn't breath. Every time it seemed like she'd pull back for air she just pushed in deeper. Jaune began to feel faint and might have actually passed out when Yang finally separated from his kiss-brusied lips with a pop.

"You see this?" Yang grabbed his head and pressed it against her chest, which would've been a lot more enjoyable if he wasn't half conscious. He just barely noticed the rest of team RWBY nearby, "This is mine! Mine, damn it! What do you say to that?!"

Ruby, Weiss and Blake looked at one another before Blake stepped forward.

"It's Wednesday, so technically my time. Do you wanna use the veto already?"

The resulting blast of fire could be seen all across Saunus.

Poor Yang. When you're Best Girl it means you gotta deal with everyone else being the Worst Girl. Ruby gets people thinking she's an NTR Queen, Yang gets her teammates being shittier than usual. The only one left is Weiss, and that's more similar to the Worst Girl Wins chapter where Weiss' flaws are exageratted for comedic effect.

No questions for now, just gimme your thoughts on the chapter. It really helps me out and makes me feel better due to current real life events.
