16-year-old Sammy was skipping down the road with Scrappy trotting beside him, they were whistling a tune. They reached home, Sammy opened the door, and put his bag down. Then they started to look for Scooby and his parents. "Are you guys playing hide and seek?" he said. They were searching everywhere, but they didn't find them. They wondered to the one place Sammy was not supposed to enter; his father basement. As they crept down the stairs, they saw blood splattered everywhere. They went deeper and looked down they saw a hand, they screamed, their eyes where going to shoot out as they saw more human and dog pieces on the floor. Then something caught their eyes, the heads of Sammy's parents and Scooby on the table of his father's work place. They slid down. Their shoulders where shaking, Sammy sobbed while Scrappy howled. They knew one thing for sure; his parents and Scrappy's uncle Scooby were not coming back. "How can this happen? Why did they leave us?I wish I didn't go to school, then we would have protected them from this tragedy." He started to blame himself, he ran up stairs and called the one person he could always depend on, his brother Donnie.
Donnie just cam back from work, greeted his family, and sat down for a little rest. Then the phone started ringing, he picked up the phone. "Hello" he said. On the other side of the phone all he can make out was a muffled sound. He knew by then there was something wrong. "Sammy , talk to me, is something wrong? Did something happen to you in school? Where are mom and dad?" Donnie then hear Sammy cry, " stay right there I'll be over there soon. Wait for me okay." Donnie shot the phone, told his family he'll be back as soon as he sees what's wrong, and rushed out the door to his little brothers house.
Younger Sammy and Scrappy waited for his brother to arrive, they sat there in the dark, blood painted basement. They didn't notice that their future self were there watching them,waiting for the right
moment to run and plan their attack on Kenneth.
