Back at Stumpy's, Wally was still there with the mysterious traveller as he had just finished his….Well, the traveller wasn't even counting how many cups of bog grog he had since Wally was quite the addict.

"Moving on to our next story, this is a story of someone who them right here in our world in the first place all because she was terrified of change. She found redemption after almost ruining their friendship. This is the tale of Marcy Wu." Wally prepared his accordion. "Ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh, after returning home Marcy said her goodbyes to her friends and moved to the city of Philadelphia where she made new friends even with her doubts. She, Anne and Sasha did remain close but after a few years they drifted a bit until Anne's 23rd birthday where they were as close as ever. Over the years Marcy made a successful web comic based off of her adventures in Amphibia even adapting the more traumatic parts of her life. Now, she's on her way to Gravesfield to meet up with author of The Human Witch, Luz Noceda!"

At the New Haven airport in Connecticut, an airplane from Los Angeles had landed on the runway where 23 year old web comic writer, Marcy Wu was here on official business.

She was just finishing typing in some stuff as she put her laptop back in her bag. The person she was sitting next to was a man in his mid to late forties whom seemed interested in what she was doing.

"Working on something?" He asked.

"Hmm?"

"If it's not too personal, what were you working on?" The man asked.

"Oh, I'm a web comic writer." Marcy replied. "You probably haven't heard of what I wrote. It's called A Girl In A Frog's World."

The man clicked his finger. "Oh yeah! My daughter really likes that series."

"Awww, tell her I said thanks." Marcy said.

"So, what's a big writer like you doing in Connecticut?" The man asked.

"Oh, I'm working with the author of the Human Witch, Luz Noceda." Marcy replied.

The man seemed surprised. "Luz Noceda? You're actually meeting her?"

"Yeah. I mean, she's one of the most reclusive authors in America." Marcy said. "Yeah, she makes her public appearances but she does a great job at avoiding paparazzi and letting her personal life out. Except for that trial where she sued some wacko who said her wife wasn't a human which is just harsh. Some say, that she is so secretive that the Luz we see during press tours is actually a ghost actor. You know how some people have ghost writers and you're gone." Marcy turned to seat next to her to realise that the man she was talking to was gone.

"Ma'm, you gotta leave." The stewdress informed Marcy. "I have been telling you this for the last three minutes."

Marcy looked around the cabin and realised how empty it was. "Oh, shoot, I hope I haven't been keeping my driver waiting!"

When Marcy arrived to the busy waiting area with her luggage in hand where she saw a female driver wearing a green hijab waiting for her.

"Marcy Wu?" The woman asked.

"That's me." Marcy confirmed. "And I assume you're Petra?"

"Yup, I'm your driver." Petra replied. "Do you need me to carry your luggage or are you good?"

Suddenly, all of Marcy's suitcases opened causing her clothes to fall out and for her to slip and fall on her back. "Ow!"

"I'll take that as a yes." Petra said.

Later, after Petra helped Marcy pack her luggage and put it in the trunk, the two were in the limo on their hour drive to Gravesfield.

"So Gravesfield, huh?" Petra remarked. "The most haunted town in America?"

"Yup." Marcy said. "Been there, Petra?"

"No I haven't." Petra replied. "But I have heard so much about it. There's an urban legend of a strange woman, owl and lion beast that is sometimes seen. Plus, rats mutating and giraffes with strange retractable faces like something out of a sci-fi horror movie." Petra shivered. "Thinking of that place is giving me the creeps."

"Well, I like to research so that place has my undivided attention!" Marcy exclaimed.

"Luz Noceda, huh? What will you two be writing about?" Petra asked.

"A story based off of the Brother's Wittebane." She replied.

"Who?"

"Okay, Phillip and Caleb Wittebane were two orphaned brothers who arrived in Gravesfield and became witch hunters in order to make a living." Marcy explained. "They captured and burnt many alleged witches as you might know about the witch trails in the 1600's in such popular places like Salem. Then one day, legends say Phillip and Caleb encountered an actual witch and showed them magic and a world they had never seen before. Caleb fell in love with the witch and ran away with her while Phillip chased after them. Some say that he's still looking for them even to this day." Marcy did a long dramatic freeze before snapping out of it when Petra knocked on the window.

"We're here."

"Huh?" Marcy responded. She looked out the window and saw that the limo had stopped outside a small house. "Awww, was I talking?"

"You sure were." Petra replied.

Later, after Marcy got her luggage she walked up to the front porch and began to read the address on her phone. "Huh, this better be the place." Marcy knocked on the door and a middle aged woman with greying hair answered it.

"Hello? Can I help you?" The woman asked.

"Hi, I'm looking for Luz Noceda." Marcy said.

The woman smiled. "Oh, hang on." She closed the door before opening it back up with a sand ke in her hand. "How many restraining orders do I need to give?!" Marcy screamed before falling on her back, causing her luggage to fall out. "You paparazzi and investigative journalists always try and get the dirt on my daughter!"

"Woah! Woah! Woah! Woah!" Marcy reacted. "I…I'm Marcy Wu! I'm working with your daughter on a project."

The woman calmed herself down and seemed surprised. "Oh." She then smiled. "Oh, you're Marcy? My name is Camila, I'm Luz's mom."

"She still lives with you?" Marcy remarked. "Wow, full house am I right?"

Camila chuckled. "No, she lives in the cabin in the woods right behind the house."

"Cabin in the woods?" Marcy reacted. "Unconventional place to live."

"No, it's her temporary home for when she needs to write." Camila explained.

"Ah, but still not a summer home?" Marcy asked.

"Believe me, it's best for her." Camila said.

"Okay, thanks Camila." Marcy put her stuff back in her cases before beginning to walk to the cabin. While walking, she shuddered. "Uh, seems like an overbearing mother. And if I've seen horror movies, I know how dangerous they are."

Marcy walked to the cabin which was painted white, red roof tiles, orange window tiles and the front door appeared to have a drawing of an owl's face. Marcy at first thought it was a fancy door knocker but she realised it was drawn on.

"Ah." She then knocked on the door and a woman in her mid twenties with tanned skin, black hair and a scar on her left brow.

"Uh….Hi?" The woman responded. "You're not paparazzi are ya?"

Marcy chuckled. "Oh no. I am not. It's me, Marcy Wu. Did you bother to find me on the internet?"

"I don't do social media." Luz replied before exclaiming happily. "Ahhh! So glad to finally meet you!" She pulled Marcy in for a hug, who seemed rather surprised with this affection.

"Woah! You're a hugger." Marcy remarked. "I'd hug you, but I got my hands full."

"Oh, allow me to help you with that." Luz offered. "You're our guest after all."

"Nah, I…." Marcy then accidentally slipped on the floor mat, causing her to land on her face and her luggage to fly all over. "….landed on my face!"

Later, Luz guides Marcy into the guest room which was rather small but seemed spacious. There was a bed and a small desk for her to work at.

"Sorry we don't have a bigger room this was best we could do with the space." Luz explained.

"This is like my singular dorm room at college, perfect!" Marcy exclaimed happily. "So, when will we start work?"

Luz chuckled. "Work?! Marcy, you just got here why would we start working? You should relax and have dinner with my wife so we can get to know you."

"Okey dokey." Marcy said. "What we having for dinner?"

"Well, I was planning on ordering a pizza if that's okay." Luz replied.

"Oh yeah, pizza's great." Marcy said as she placed her luggage on her bed where the sound of an aggressive hissing is heard. "Huh?" She lifted her case and saw a snake, causing her to scream. "SNAAAAAAKE!"

"Oh, there you are!" Luz exclaimed happily as she picked up the greyish-blue snake.

"Wait, you have a pet snake?" Marcy asked in surprise.

"Yeah. Unconventional, I know." Luz replied. "This here is my pallll, Scales."

"Hello there, Scales." Marcy greeted before feeling something nuzzling at her legs. She looked down and saw a white cat giving her a smile. "And you have a cat?"

"Oh yeah, that's Ghost." Luz replied. "They're my wife's."

"Guess they don't like you much?"

"Huh?"

"The scar on your brow." Marcy said. "That cat not been treating you nicely?"

It was at this moment, Luz had a saddened look on her face as she touched the brow. "No, that was for something else."

Good thing Marcy could read some body language and figured it must have been personal. "Woah, okay, too personal for you. I apologise. Anyway, you and your wife really made this cabin your home." She remarked. "By the way, why a dark cabin in the middle of the woods? You're not trying to live some horror movie fantasy?"

Luz blew a raspberry. "Nah, this is a little hut I use to write my work. My real home is outside Connecticut."

"Ah, right." Marcy said. "Whereabouts? Is it far? If it's LA, that would be so cool? Is it LA?"

Luz gave a nervous chuckle. "Okay, I think that's enough questions." Luz then heard the sound of the door opening. "Oh, that's my wife!" She ran to greet her while Marcy began to unpack.

Ghost jumped on the bed and gave a small meow that caught Marcy's attention. "Aww! Aren't you adorable?" She began to stroke Ghost, whom purred at the affection. "Awwwwww! You like that don't you? Even though we're strangers you're already loving me aren't ya? Which is strange since cats don't like me on first meeting. Especially my best friend, Anne's cat Domino who probably know or don't know or-Ow!" Marcy pulled her hand back and looked at her finger. "Ow!" She saw that there was a white splinter on her finger. "Wait, I got a splinter from stroking a cat?" Marcy looked at Ghost, who was no longer on the bed. "Huh, weird. Wonder if they were an actual ghost?"

She walked outside to see Luz kissing her wife. Whom was a pale woman with long purple hair that seemed dyed covering her ears and golden irises in her eyes.

"You were gone a while." Luz said.

"Luz, I only went to the library." The woman chuckled before looking over her wife's shoulder. "Is this her?"

"Yup." Marcy offered the woman a handshake. "Marcy Wu."

The woman shook Marcy's hand in response. "Amity Noceda."

"Woah! Amity, interesting name." Marcy remarked. "Did you know your name means friendship?"

Amity seemed surprised. "Woah! I did not know that."

"Oh, word of advice, be sure that your cat isn't rolling around in wood." Marcy suggested. "I got a splinter just by stroking them."

Amity froze at the mention of a splinter. "Did it happen to be white?"

"I don't understand why that's an issue but yeah." Marcy replied.

Luz looked like she was sweating while Amity was clenching on to Marcy's hand. "Oh, then Ghost has been rolling in the wood again. Ghost, I told you not to do that."

"Woah! Strong grip." Marcy remarked.

Amity let go of Marcy's hand. "Sorry, sorry. I sometimes don't know my own strength."

"Well, I just wished to say hi to you." Marcy said. "I'm gonna unpack the rest of my stuff." Marcy walked to her guest bedroom to unpack the rest of her things.

Once she left, Amity gave her wife a concerned and worried look. "Luz, you sure this collaboration is a good idea? What if she finds out?"

Luz placed a hand on her girlfriend's shoulder. "Hey, she won't." Luz said. "I doubt she isn't suspicious."

Inside her room, Marcy was finishing unpacking until her thoughts began racing. "Huh, I wonder how I got a white splinter and why was Amity ticked off about it?" Marcy began pondering. "Huh, maybe a case of aichmophobia."

Later, Marcy, Luz and Amity were having the pizza that had just arrived. While the two authors ate their pizzas like how people would usually eat them, but Amity was eating them with a knife and fork.

Marcy took notice of this. "What's the matter? Not a fan of getting your hands dirty?"

"She tends to eat pizza like that." Luz replied. "She was raised in a home where status and etiquette were important."

"Though I don't wish to talk about it." Amity said.

"Oh come on, don't tell me you eat your sandwiches like that." Marcy said.

"Why would you?" Amity reacted. "That is so strange and possibly a crime against nature."

Marcy had no idea what to say about this strange view so she shrugged her shoulders. "So, how did you two meet? Details! I saw a few of your pictures and you are absolutely adorable together."

Amity gulped. "A few of our pictures?"

Luz gritted her teeth. "I forgot to take them down."

"Oh don't be embarrassed." Marcy gushed. "I love the pictures with your fake ears. You're quite the cosplayer."

Luz and Amity exhaled with relief something that made Marcy a tad suspicious. But she just causally continued to eat her pizza.

"Okay, okay, when me and Amity first met, we did not get along at all." Luz replied. "She was bullying a friend and I felt obligated to help. So that's what I did. But we eventually gotten to know each other at a witch convention and then the library which she happens to work at. I kind of helped her get out of her stuck up attitude which allowed me and others to see the real her. A sweet and caring person who will never give up on anyone. We eventually became girlfriends when a good friend of ours kind of technically kidnapped her. He didn't really get social cues. And then ten years later on our tenth anniversary, we both popped the question and then got married."

"Awwww!" Marcy cooed. "Enemies to lovers trope. I'm a bit of a sucker for that."

"What made you wish to become a web writer?" Luz asked. "I was inspired by my adventures of my childhood and Good Witch Azura."

"Wow, Gold Witch Azura." Marcy remarked. "Not a fan but unique inspiration."

Luz then narrowed her eyes at Marcy. "Oh no! You do not diss Good Witch Azura in this house!"

"Okay, I won't." Marcy put her hands up in self defence. "Well…." Marcy then gripped her chest, remembering that Andrias' stab wound was still there. "…..It's based off of a fantasy I had. A dark fantasy I used to escape a harsh reality of me moving away from my best friends, Anne and Sasha. And I kind of sucked them two into that dark fantasy as a means to not lose them." Luz and Amity gave each other concerned glances, not understanding if this was some kind of metaphor. "It took a toll on me mentally and I almost got my friends killed on multiple occasions." Tears fell from Marcy's eyes. "And I got hurt the worst. It was like, reality at that point was telling me 'You can't hide from me forever, Marcy Wu.' And I got hurt because of it." Luz and Amity looked at each with saddened looks after Marcy finished her story inspiration. Then Marcy pulled a sudden smile and a strange mood change. "Anyway, it's technically a story about fun adventures along with trauma for the protagonists."

"Oookay." Amity said.

"We probably shouldn't have asked." Luz whispered.

Then, they heard the door knock causing Luz some alarm. "Oh no! I didn't tip the delivery guy!"

"Luz, you did." Amity assured her wife. "Oh, then who could it be?"

"Amity! Mittens!" Cried an intoxicated voice. "Can you open up?!"

Amity and Luz winced at the sound of the drunken voice. "Oh no, it's Emira."

"Does she know about Marcy?!" Luz asked her wife.

"No!" Amity replied before standing up and running towards the door. "Cover your ears, Emira!"

Marcy tried to get a look at what was going on, but Luz quickly ran in front of her eyeshot. "No! No! You don't wanna see this!"

Amity pulled in a pale dark haired green woman in her late twenties by holding her by her ears. "Hey…Why…Why are you holding me by the head? You….You…..Trying to tear it off?"

"Marcy, this is Emira." Amity said. "My sister. She's drank apple….Juice with vodka because her girlfriend dumped her."

Emira laughed. "I haven't even told you yet! How do you know?"

"Because you used 'yet' in that sentence implying you were going to tell me." Amity replied.

Emira gave a drunken smile. "Ooooooh yeah!" She then looked over her sister's shoulder and saw Marcy. "Oh…Shit Amity, you didn't tell me you were going to have a pretty lady over!"

Marcy blushed at that comment. "Oh, thanks. I'm flattered."

"Marcy, don't encourage her!" Amity demanded.

"Hey, how about a smooch just to…Make my ex girlfriend jealous?! Maybe she'll be mad that I'm kissing a hu-"

Amity shoved Emira into her's and Luz's bedroom before she could finish. "Okay, you need to lay down!"

"Okay." Emira responded.

Amity slammed the door shut and pressed her back against the door. "That was close."

"Yeah." Marcy said. "Though, she's at the stage where she might vomit."

Then, they heard the sound of Emira vomiting in the other room, causing Marcy and Luz to cringe in disgust. Amity just groaned and sighed. "I'll clean that up."

Later that night, Marcy was in bed, FaceTiming Anne, whom appeared to be wearing Kevin's work shirt. "So, how's it going over there? Good?"

"Me and Luz haven't started writing the book." Marcy replied. "She wanted me to get used to the new surroundings before we got to work."

"So, what's Luz like?"

"She seems nice so far." Marcy replied. "Cool cabin in the woods, nice wife and very wild in-laws. Like, drunk wild."

"Cabin in the woods? Weird choice but I ain't judging."

"But, something strange is afoot with everyone around Luz." Marcy said.

"Why? What's wrong?"

"I got a splinter from stroking Amity's cat but the splinter matched the fur on their body and she seemed worried about." Marcy said. "Plus, she kind of seemed scared when I saw cosplay pictures of her and she demanded that her drunken sister cover her ears. If a drunk person came over, I'd tell them to cover their mouth."

Anne froze. "Wait, cabin in the woods and strange behaviour. Oh, Mar-Mar, you need to get out! This is horror movie level of sus!"

Marcy blew a raspberry. "Don't worry Anne. Maybe this is how they act. I mean, you know how strange I can get!"

"Yeah, but you never had horror movie vibes. This couple sure sounds it!"

"Anna, Anna Banana, I'd be more concerned if someone was telling me to get out." Marcy said. "That's how I'd know I'm doomed."

"You're doomed, dude. Anyway, hope to see you soon. Byyyeeee."

"Bye girl." Marcy said before hanging up and putting her phone on the side. She rolled over to get some sleep but then accidentally fell off. "I'm okay!"

The next morning after some breakfast, Luz and Marcy were in the living room busy brainstorming ideas. Amity had gone out to assure her dad and brother that Emira was okay and she needed just a place to crash until she pulled herself back together.

Right now, Luz and Marcy stared at the sleeping form of Emira, whose whole body was covered by a blanket, even her head.

"Huh, ya know without her breathing, you'd think you're staring at a corpse." Marcy remarked.

"Yeah." Luz agreed. "Okay, let's brainstorm ideas! Got any ideas how we can handle the disappearance of the brother's Wittebane?"

"Okay, I feel it would be kind of disrespectful if we used their real names." Marcy said.

"Not really." Luz said. "I mean, a lot of dead historical figures have had stranger book interpretations. Did you even read George Washington; Demon Slayer?"

"Okay, fair point." Marcy said. "Oh! Oh! Oh! What genre should it be?"

"Well, it's gotta be fantasy." Luz said.

"Hmmm, fantasy?" Marcy said. "Fantasy horror? Where the witch captured Caleb to dissect him and devour all what remains of him for a disturbing ritual? And Phillip is next as he has to survive world of witches?"

Luz shook her head. "Nah, we'd be demonising witches."

"Or just Wiccans in general." Marcy said.

"Let's not make it horror though." Luz said. "I only know how to write jump scare horror."

"Write a jump scare, how does that work?" Marcy asked herself. "So, we agree on fantasy? Hmmm, oh, how about due to Phillip thinking he lost his brother due to the witch he tries to destroy the witch world without even knowing that it was his brother's choice not the witch. And he tries to commit genocide by making a deal with a god who wishes to be free from an ancient prison cursed upon them by another god whose body is the home of every resident of the witch island. Then, Phillip kills his brother and uses his body to make perfect clones of him, something Neo Genisys Evangelist. And then…You okay?"

She saw that Luz was clenching her fists hard and looking down on the floor with anger plastered on her face. "That idea…"

Marcy raised her hands. "Okay! Okay! Okay! Bad idea! Too much plot! No need to get angry about it."

Luz managed to defuse herself. "Sorry, sorry. Guess…Some bad ideas get to me." Luz awkwardly laughed and gave Marcy a nervous grin. Marcy raised a brow in suspicion before shrugging her shoulder.

"How about something romantic?" Marcy suggested.

"Yes!" Luz exclaimed. "Many people praised the relationship between Sarah and Mae in my Human Witch books, since I kind of based it off of mine and my wife's. Oh, how about Phillip falls for the witch? And the witch falls for Phillip? And therefore it creates a love triangle?"

"Nah, love triangle ruins all sorts of media." Marcy said. "Oh! How about it's a romantic tragedy? Where Phillip accidentally kills Caleb and in return, the witch kills Phillip in revenge?"

Luz gave a nervous smile and nodded her head. "Okay. I guess that could work. We got the ending down, we just need the story."

"You okay Luz?" Marcy asked. "You seem kind of…I don't know, terrified of the story."

Luz only gave Marcy a forced smile as sweat escaped her head. "Hey! I have an idea! My sister's spouse is the curator of Gravesfield's Historical Society. They know their history, especially of the brothers. Why don't you go there and ask them for some notes?"

Marcy grinned. "Great idea!" Marcy then grabbed her handbag and notebook before leaving the cabin. "I could be gone for a while! Give me….Five to six hours."

"Okay." Luz said. "I mean, why? Are you going to look over every detail of Gravesfield's history?"

"Yes. Definitely and probably." Marcy replied before leaving the cabin.

Later, after a quick bus ride, Marcy had arrived to the historical society ready to learn about Gravesfield's history. "Okay. Their name is Masha and Luz's sister is called V. V? Wow, Mrs Noceda must have been having an off day to come up with a name like V. That would be like calling Luz, L." Marcy's eyes lit up. "Note to self: Name future child, L. Hmmm, suggestible at best."

Before Marcy walked through the doors, she noticed a pale skinned brown haired man in his mid to late forties with stubble all over his face standing behind a bush with a camera out. She groaned in frustration. "Hey Paparazzi! Go away!" She reached into her handbag. "I have pepper spray!" But the man just stayed behind the bush. "Well, assault won't work."

She walked inside the building and saw the receptionist whom appeared to be in their mid twenties and had a black bob cut, dark brown eyes and a tooth gap and finger nails that were painted like the non-binary flag.

"Can I help you?" The receptionist asked.

"I'm looking for your boss, Masha." Marcy replied.

The receptionist giggled. "I'm my own boss."

Marcy approached the receptionist. "Oh, you're Masha?"

"Luz sent ya, didn't she, Marcy?" Masha asked.

"How do you know?" Marcy asked as she shook.

"I can just read people." Masha replied. "Plus, she told my wife." Then, there was a clanging in the back which caused Marcy to jump while Masha smiled. "And that would be her."

Masha got off their seat and walked towards the back and opened the door to see a woman with messy green hair with blue tips and light tanned skin, accidentally knocking over some red samurai armour. "Oh no! Oh no!" She turned and saw their spouse and began to panic. "Dear, I'm so sorry! I accidentally knocked your armour over."

Masha chuckled. "Dear, I told you not to worry."

Marcy looked over their shoulder and saw the woman. She gave her a wave. "Hi, I assume you're V? Is that short for something? Vicky? Vanessa? Valerie? Or did your Mom wish to name you Vee because she was being unoriginal?"

Vee didn't know how to feel about the barrage of questions and gave a nervous chuckle. "Well…That's a lot of questions. No, it's just Vee. Vee Michaela Noceda. Or now Bratton since I'm married to this wonderful being."

Masha blushed. "Dear, stop it. Anyway, what questions do you wish to know?"

"Well, I'd ask you every question all at once but good thing I written them down." Marcy said before reaching into her handbag and pulling out a roll of paper that rolled down to her feet and toward Vee and Masha's feet. This made the spouses give each other some concerned glances.

Masha chuckled. "Oookay, follow me."

A few minutes later, Marcy and Vee were following Masha around the building which was small yet it size was made up for it as there were so many intriguing artefacts on display. Which included a torch, a burnt bit of wood, a map of old Gravesfield, a picture of a ton of witch hunters, a book about witches and so much more detailing Gravesfield's dark history.

"Okay, who was the oldest?" Masha read aloud. "Oh, Caleb was the oldest while Phillip was the-"

"Oh my gosh! What's that burnt bit of wood?!" Masha turned around and saw that Marcy was looking at a burnt bit of wood. "Is this what remains of a steak used to burn alleged witches with?"

"Uh yes." Masha replied. "And to answer your question about Phillip and Caleb, Caleb was the oldest while Phillip was the youngest. You see Caleb-"

"Oh my gosh! Is this Caleb's old coat?" Marcy asked.

"Wow, she doesn't have a consistent attention span." Vee remarked.

"Uh….Marcy, how about questions about the exhibits at the end of the tour?" Masha suggested.

"Right! Right! Sorry." Marcy said. "What was the next question?"

"Oh yes, Caleb you see, was more older, wiser and curious than his younger brother whom was more violent and brash." Masha explained. "Despite how different they were, they had a mutual love for each other."

Marcy then approached some trading cards that were on display. "Oh wait, why are there trading cards on display? They weren't invented until the 1800's."

"Oh no. I usually have those in case anyone wishes for me to do a card reading." Masha explained. "It's kind of where I learnt my people skills."

"Cool, palm reading." Marcy remarked. "Though, should you have sold them like at the gift shop?"

"Oh, the gift shop is also part of the exhibit." Masha explained. "As you can see we don't have much room. I would have spent money on extensions but I instead spent it on that samurai armour you saw in the back. It was from mine and Vee's honeymoon. Would you like a card read out to you?"

"Oh yeah, sure." Marcy replied before sitting down on the floor with Masha following.

They shuffled the cards before spreading them out on the floor. "Now, pick a card."

Marcy had the option for three cards in front of her. The cards themselves had a purple back and an open iris. "Huh, never seen these cards before."

"Hexes Hold'Ems, they are only sold in Gravesfield." Masha replied.

Marcy picked a card and flipped it over to look at the artwork which had a drawing of a sad and distraught jester staring at a contrasting reflection of themselves. The reflection appeared to be happy and very goofy.

"Ah, this here card means that you're a silly and goofy person." Masha said. "Some might even say a fool. But underneath that silly and mesmerising image comes a darker version of you. One filled with distraught and trauma that people of this mortal world shall not understand." As Masha spoke, Marcy gripped on to her chest where Andrias had stabbed her many years ago. "And you put on this goofy image to hide the fact that you're in pain and are suffering deep down and you only put on that image because that's what people expect you to be."

Vee placed her hand on Masha's shoulder. "Hey sweetie, look at her." She motioned to Marcy, whom was holding her heart and almost about to cry.

"Woah! Woah!" Masha moved to Marcy and began to pat them on the shoulder. "It's okay. Sorry, I just read people well. I'm so sorry, Marcy!"

"No…" Marcy sniffled as she wiped away tears from her eyes. "No Masha, I'm fine."

"You want a drink?" Masha offered.

"Some soda will do." Marcy replied as more tears escaped from her eyes.

"Vee, could you get some soda from the vending machine?" Masha, concerned for Marcy gently held her by the shoulders while their wife ran to the vending machine. "Hey, you okay?"

Marcy stood up. "Yeah. Sorry I had a mental breakdown."

"No! No, it's okay." Masha assured her. "It was my fault."

"No. If I didn't pick that card, then you wouldn't have read it out loud." Marcy said. "Maybe I should have looked at the other stuff and avoided the cards."

"Hey, fate is a funny friend." Masha said. "You don't know what to expect."

Suddenly, the man from outside burst in with a sword in his hand. "Get out! You're in danger!"

Vee then returned with a soda in her hand. "Hey, is everything…" Before Vee could ask, the man ran up to Vee and shoved her to the floor.

"You better get out!" The man screamed into her face. "Get out!"

Marcy didn't have time to react as he grabbed her and began to shake her aggressively. "Get out?! Why?!"

"How many times do I need to tell you?!" Masha asked as they grabbed the man by the shoulder. But he then, elbowed them in the gut, causing them to fall to their knees.

"Basilisk's prize!" He shoved them aside and pulled Marcy to his face. "You need to-" Marcy sprayed pepper spray in his eyes, causing him to scream. "Ow! That hurts! Ow!"

"Get out Jacob!" Masha demanded. "Get out!"

Jacob screamed as he ran out of the building, his eyes burning due to the pepper spray. On the way out, he fell down some steps where police officers were already waiting for him.

"I don't understand why we can't just lock him up permanently." The officer said.

"Well, it gets satisfying arresting this lunatic every time." The other officer said.

"Oh yeah, guess it does."

Inside the building, Marcy ran towards Vee to see if they were okay. "Vee! Are you okay?!" They saw that Vee was shaking and hiding her face with her hand. She briefly removed them from her face and for a brief moment, Marcy saw that Vee was now showing scales and her hands were turning green.

"Is she okay?!" Masha asked as they ran towards their wife with concern.

"I don't know!" Marcy replied. "I think she's getting scales and turning green!" Masha froze. "Is she sick?!"

"She's fine, just get out." Masha replied.

"What?!" Marcy exclaimed.

"Get out!" Masha screamed. "Get the hell out, now!"

Marcy ran out like her life depended on it and fell down the stairs and in front of the police officers, whom were currently putting Jacob in their vehicle.

The officer known as James looked at Marcy and gave her a grin. "First time?"

"Huh?" Marcy reacted before the cop went into the car to drive Jacob down to the station.

Marcy then stood up and ran towards the window of the historical society to see if Vee was okay. But when she did, she saw that Vee appeared relatively fine and eating one of the trading cards that her spouse had on display.

"You okay?" Masha asked their wife.

"Yeah! Yeah! I'm fine sweetie." Vee replied.

"Oh dear, you got a fang showing."

Vee giggled. "Oh, sorry." Then, like magic, Vee retracted the fang hanging from her mouth back into it.

The mere sight made Marcy gasp that she ducked down to the ground so Vee and Masha wouldn't see her. But unfortunately, they did hear the sound of her yelping.

"Did you hear that?" Masha asked.

"Yeah, it sounded like an adorable puppy yelping." Vee replied.

Marcy began to run back towards the cabin in fear and confusion. "Oh boy! I didn't see that, right?! Calm down, Marcy! Probably your hallucinations!" She then saw a hallucination of herself as The Core coming right towards her. She stopped in fear and distress before they raised their scythe and brung it down on her.

This made Marcy scream as she prepared the worst. Then, she opened her eyes and saw that they weren't there and that she was in the middle of town looking like a complete fool to everyone. She gave a sheepish grin to everyone before running away back to the cabin.

When she arrived at the old cabin, she noticed a familiar someone coming from the direction of the cabin. It was none other than Jenny, Mr X's assistant.

Marcy gave her a smile. "Oh hey Jenny, where did you come from?" Jenny only shrugged her shoulders in response before continuing to walk away.

Marcy only looked back with suspicion. "Huh, what's she doing in Connecticut? And shouldn't she be with Mr X? Eh. Probably doing her own thing." She walked back to the cabin and entered through the door.

When she walked back in, she saw that Luz wasn't there. She then saw a note on Luz's typewriter and began to read it. "I have a job as a teacher out of town and I'll be gone for a while. See you in a few hours. Keep an eye on Emira. Oh, she's still here."

She heard a loud belch and walked into the kitchen where she saw Emira was dressed in a cropped pyjama shirt and purple underwear. Scratching her stomach with one hand and drinking milk in the other.

"Yup! I'm still here!" Emira exclaimed as she gulped the milk.

"Wait, I read that Luz was lactose intolerant." Marcy said. "Why does she have milk?"

"My hangover cure." Emira said before realising something. "And I'm just realising you aren't an illusion but are actually there. Listen, I might have said something stupid to you while I was drunk on apple juice and whisky…."

"I thought it was vodka." Marcy said.

Emira froze and then mumbled to herself. "Vodka. Why don't you remember what Amity said? Yeah! Yeah! Apple juice and vodka! Speaking of, we got any apple juice? And weren't there supposed to be things I was meant to be doing?" She walked towards the fridge and saw that there was a note on the door which she began to read. "Hair down? Check! Dress appropriately?" She looked down at what she was wearing and shrugged her shoulders. "Eh, it's not like I'm naked." She took another gulp of milk. "And….Leave Marcy alone if she comes back? Can't help it."

"So, you're Amity's sister?" Marcy asked. "Sorry, I'm Marcy." Marcy offered Emira a handshake which she accepted.

"Emira. So, you're the web comic writer Luz has been on about?" Emira asked.

"Correct."

"Remind me, you don't draw on an actual web, right?"

Marcy laughed. "Oh! I had no idea you were funny!"

Emira looked confused by the response. "Uh….Yeah, I'm funny. I guess."

"Anyway, what do you do?" Marcy asked.

"I heal people." Emira said.

"Ooooh! A doctor. Ya know, my mom wanted me to be a doctor. Yeah, she was quite sad I became an artist and writer instead."

Emira looked from the window and Marcy. "Yeah….Doctor. Anyway, so looks like it'll just be us. You don't mind if I'm wearing this? I'd change but I don't want to."

Marcy gave her an assuring grin. "I'm fine. I've had a college roommate who wore less."

"Righto." Emira said. "Anyway, sorry for what I said about you while drunk. I thought you were a hallucination."

Marcy smiled and blushed a little. "It's okay. I thought it was a nice comment. I rarely get called pretty. People think I'm weird."

Emira smiled. "Weird is what we all are. No such thing as normal. Sometimes, some of us are a surprising burst of energy."

Suddenly, one of the lightbulbs blew up causing the both of them to groan. "Did I leave that on for too long?"

"I got it. I used to fix my dorm's lightbulb all the time. Thanks to my dad." Marcy opened a drawer and found a box of lightbulbs and a screwdriver. "Ah, bingo!" She got on the chair and began to fix the lightbulb. "So, you gonna be staying with us for a bit? I guess I could use some more company and friends. I mean, I have enough friends. My best friends from childhood, Anne and Sasha. My college roommate, Regina. Plus, Regina is my middle name on an unrelated topic. Oh, Luz and Amity are probably gonna be great friends. Plus, Masha and Vee if we can just forget about the weird confrontation and the fact I might have seen Vee retract a fang like she was a snake or some weird reptile. Anyway, back to the topic at hand, you going to be staying with us?"

Emira, wasn't exactly paying the Marcy as she was distracted by her putting the lightbulb on which kind of caused her shirt to lift up, exposing a bit of her midriff, causing Emira to blush a bit as she drank her milk.

"Emira!"

"Huh?"

"I said, are you going to be staying with us for a bit?" Marcy asked.

Emira stared at Marcy a little longer. "I think I might." She then mumbled to herself. "Come on Emira, don't do this. You just got out of a relationship. It'll be too soon."

"What was that?" Marcy asked.

"Well, I think I might stay a while if Mittens lets me." Emira replied. "That's Amity's nickname in case you're wondering."

"Aww, cute nickname." Marcy remarked. "And viola!" Suddenly, Marcy began to wobble on the chair. "Woah! Woah! Woah!" This made her drop the screwdriver.

"I got ya!" Emira was about to catch Marcy but then she fell on top of her and accidentally knocked the chair over and Emira spilt her milk.

Now the two of them were in an awkward position as their faces were now close to each other and they were blushing as they stared at each other in the face. The two gave each other sheepish grins before they heard the sound of the door opening and a disapproving cough.

The turned and saw Amity standing with her arms folded and with Ghost on her shoulder. "I assume this is what you two have been doing while we were gone?"

Marcy screamed and stood up. "No! Amity, I swear! I wasn't taking advantage of your sister! I swear! I just got back early after a strange incident involving a crazy man and I saw your sister like this and I was fine with it and…"

"I don't wanna hear it." Amity interjected.

"Mittens! She fell on top of me." Amity narrowed her eyes at her sister. "Okay, that came out wrong. Listen, lightbulb went out and Marcy tried fixing it and fell on top of me after I tried to catch her."

Amity then took note of the screwdriver on the floor and the box of lightbulbs on the table and let out a relieved sigh. "Okay. Least there's evidence. Listen Emira, dad says that if you're to stay here then I'm not allowed to have you on the couch so, you'll be sharing a room with Marcy."

Emira stood up with her face turning red. "Wait what?!"

Marcy smiled. "Hey, we're room…." She then took note of a bit of Emira's ear hanging out and it seemed like it was a bit pointy. Emira could instantly tell what Marcy was staring at and instantly covered it up with her hand.

"Yup! We're now roommates!" Emira laughed nervously while her sister narrowed her eyes at the both of them.

"And if either of you do anything funny, then I will throw the both of you out." Amity said.

"What?!" Marcy exclaimed as she blushed.

"Sis, what are you implying?!" Emira exclaimed while blushing.

"Me and Emira just met!"

"Yeah and I went through a breakup!"

"Yeah, I wouldn't do that!"

"If I was attracted to Marcy then I would have put on the Emira charm!"

"I have no idea what that is but she didn't do it!"

"No I did not!"

Amity sighed in annoyance and pinched the bridge of her nose. "This is going to be a long one."

Later that night after discussing the setup, the stakes and then the resolution and tomorrow, they were going to finally write the story.

She was just finishing putting on her pyjama shirt but before she did she began to look at herself in the mirror and at the scar on her chest. Specifically, the scar from Andrias' sword all those years ago.

She stared at the scar in fear and sadness as she remembered the burning pain from the sword in her chest at the age of 13. I mean, besides a trauma, a child should never have gone through being stabbed in the back with a sword.

She looked down at the mark on her chest and began to stroke it. The mark itself felt rough and a tad fleshy. She looked back at her reflection and saw the sword that stabbed her sticking out of her chest and screamed.

Emira, in her sleepwear, ran in the room, where she saw Marcy quickly fastening the buttons on her green pyjama shirt.

"Marcy, you okay?" Emira asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Marcy replied.

"Yeeeaaaah, I heard you scream." Emira pointed out as she rolled out a sleeping bag for her to sleep in. "You okay, right?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Marcy assured her. "Just…..Hey Emira, do you ever feel anything strange in Gravesfield?"

Emira raised a brow. "Explain."

"Ya know, I was stroking Ghost the first day I arrived and I got a splinter even though their fur is furry then when I was telling Amity about it she froze in horror and fear." Marcy explained. "Then when I saw pictures of you and your family in those magnificent elf ears and after I said I liked them, they sighed in relief. Maybe they were scared I wouldn't like cosplay even though they should have seen my Outstagram where I was dressed as Thursday and did a cool little dance and….Oh boy, off topic. Anyway, now today, some guy broke into the historical society and he got arrested after attacking Vee. Then, when her spouse tried to help her and I wanted to see what was going on, they yelled at me to get out. Then I looked through the window to see if they were okay and I think I saw Vee retract a fang while eating some trading cards. Then, I saw Jenny, an FBI agent coming from the direction of the cabin and having no idea how she got to Connecticut." Marcy looked to Emira, whom was sitting on the bed really invested.

She raised a brow. "Wow, that is strange."

"Wait, you didn't fall asleep." Marcy remarked in surprise.

Emira smiled. "Why would I? You're interesting." She then patted her head before reaching to a desk and putting on a nightcap she put over her ears.

"Wow, nightcap." Marcy remarked. "Don't see those much. Though, does it go with that outfit?"

"They work with me." Emira said smugly. "Plus my girlfriend….Well, ex girlfriend thought I looked hot." Tears began to well from Emira's eyes before she began crying her eyes out. "Oh Viney! Viney! Why did we need to leave things like that?!"

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Marcy reached into her handbag and pulled out a wad of tissues that she handed to Emira. "Here. Take a handful."

"Thanks Marcy." Emira said as she took a handful and wiped away her tears.

"Do you wish to talk about your breakup?" Marcy wrapped her arm around Emira's shoulder, causing the Blight to blush.

She looked at Marcy's adorkable face and saw her giving her an assuring smile. Emira barley knew Marcy for a few hours but something about her, made her trustworthy.

"Well….Her name was Viney." Emira replied. "We knew each other in high school and were dating then. But then, yesterday, she broke up with me due to differences with each other. It wasn't mutual and….Yeah, I was very sad because of it."

"Yeah. Alcoholism will do that." Marcy said. "Listen Emira, I don't know about this Viney and I hardly know you, but she seems like a jerk for dumping you. And with the help of Luz, Amity and I, we will help you."

"And how long will you stay?" Emira asked.

"That depends." Marcy replied. "Luz and I have a lot of ideas running in our crazy brains. Could be weeks, could be months and that means, we'll be roommates for a while."

The two stared at each other before blushing again and letting go of each other. "Well, let's get some sleep." Emira declared. "We don't want you to be sucky as an author." She got down on her sleeping bag while Marcy got under the covers of her bed. "Ya know what Marcy, I think I'm gonna like having you around."

"And you know what Emira?" Marcy responded. "I think the same as well." While Marcy tried to sleep there were only three things going off in her head. One of them were the ideas for the book, the others were the strange going ons and the final, was Emira. Not only had Marcy found work, but a mystery and a possible new crush. This was going to be a long vacation.

Over the next few months, Marcy and Luz were in the living room multiple times discussing ideas and what to put in the novel which they were working extensively on together.

During their breaks however, they spent their time chatting, especially about their respective friends. Luz told Marcy of her friends Gus, Hunter and Willow with Willow set to have a baby with Hunter very soon. While Marcy spoke of Anne and Sasha and talking about how she tried to get abs like Sasha but almost got crushed by weight lifts.

Another thing during their breaks they did was spend time with Amity and Emira. They spent time going to the movies, visiting places like Gravity Falls, making some Dominican food, making some Taiwanese food, debating about Good Witch Azura and Cynthia Coven and spending time together in Luz's hot tub which she had in the back.

Plus, she and Emira's tension has gotten more tense. She and Emira were holding hands while watching a scary movie, Marcy would talk to Luz about Emira whom Luz was already suspecting Marcy was liking, that one time where Marcy accidentally walked in on her having a shower, that time they were left in the hot tub together, Emira accidentally walking in on Marcy having a shower, they constantly blushed every time they gave each other a compliment, Marcy would always talk to her every time she had something on her mind, they shared a bed one time since Emira was feeling very cold one night and that one time where Emira referred to Marcy as babe.

But Marcy did her own things in her spare time. Like studying the mutated rats, learning about the Gravesfield history from Masha, chatting to her friends, cleaning the cabin while everyone was out, watching some anime, planning out the rest of her web comic and walking Ghost and Scales.

But Marcy did notice more strange things. Like, Amity and Luz pushing a popsicle truck from the direction of the cabin, Vee doing a pitch perfect impression of her, Amity being covered in purple goop that appeared to be alive, Vee showing reptilian scales briefly before they vanished, the fact that Amity and Emira still have always had their hair covering their ears and how Amity and Emira would sometimes refer to the currency as snails or apple juice as apple blood.

A few months later, Luz and Marcy had almost finished writing the book and were on the last chapter. "Perfect!" Marcy exclaimed. "Now, we get to the tragedy. You sure we should cut out the idea of Phillip cloning Caleb?"

"I'm sure." Luz replied instantly. "It just wouldn't make sense. Plus, we want it to be one off."

"Good point." Marcy said. "So, just Phillip and Caleb dying?"

"Yeah, sure." Luz replied. "Phillip dying!" Luz had a tense look on her face something Marcy took notice of.

"You okay?" Marcy asked. "You seem excited about killing Caleb."

"Huh? Oh yeah, he's a complete jerk." Luz said.

"Oh I guess I can't wait to kill him as well." Marcy said. "Okay, how should we kill Phillip?"

Luz's eye began to twitch. "Oh! Oh! I say we give him a slow and painful death for all the pain and destruction he has caused everyone! Hurting people with no remorse whatsoever so I say we give him the same fate!"

Marcy gave Luz a concerned look and nodded her head. "Yeah…I guess we could set him on fire by Evelyn. But what about Caleb?"

"Okay, remember in chapter 12 how we established the fire sword?" Luz asked.

"Yeah."

"I think we should have Phillip use it." Luz explained. "He sneaks up on Caleb suddenly just as he is about to make sure his wife is safe and then gets stabbed in the back with the sword sticking from his chest. Then, he looks into Evelyn's eyes and with tears falling from his eyes he says to her 'I'm sorry.' And then he slumps to the ground, dead."

When Luz gave the description of Caleb's death, Marcy had tears falling from her eyes. Not because of Caleb's death, but because it reminded her too much of what happened to her. "Yeah…I…I…I…I…I…I…I…I…I..I..I.." Marcy began to stutter, something Luz noticed and showed concern.

"Marcy? Are you okay?" Luz asked.

"Yeah….I…." Marcy didn't respond and instead just ran into the room and locked it.

"Marcy? Marcy?" Luz ran towards the door and knocked on it. "Marcy? Are you okay in there?" But Marcy didn't respond. "Was it too tense for you? I'm so sorry."

"No, it's just….I don't want to talk about it!" Marcy replied.

Luz was about to pry her again but she knew she needed space and just walked away. She looked back at the door and sighed in sadness.

Some hours later, Marcy was in her room rubbing the area of the chest where the scar was. Luz's description of Caleb's death made poor Marcy reminisce her awful almost death and then being possessed by a dark entity.

Even though she was free, she was never free from the memories. The flashbacks and the fact that the permanent mark still remained. Then, she heard a knock from the door.

"Marcy?" It was Emira. "Can I come in?"

"Is it bed time?" Marcy asked.

"Well yeah and I want to see if you're okay."

Marcy was hesitant but she couldn't say no to her roommate so she unlocked the door and let Emira in.

"Hey." Emira said before she and Marcy sat down on the bed together.

"Luz told me about what happened during the writing session, is everything okay?" Emira asked. "You were apparently holding on to your chest and began panicking before running in here."

"Not really." Marcy replied. "Listen Emira…." She held on to her chest and sighed. "…I haven't shown anyone else this besides my trusted friends, my parents and my college roommate on accident. Listen, I'm showing you this because I feel I can trust you and well…" Marcy began to take off her shirt, something that was making Emira blush and look away.

"Woah! Woah! Okay!" Emira exclaimed. "Didn't know we were at that stage!"

"Emira, just look at me."

Emira began to look at Marcy and gasped in horror over what Marcy was showing her. She had taken her shirt off to show Emira the scar she had on her chest.

Emira couldn't comprehend what she was showing her and said the first thing that came to mind. "Oh my Titan!"

"I know." Marcy began to touch her scar on her chest and sighed in sadness. Emira looked where the scar started which happened to be from her back.

Emira reached her hand out to touch it but decided to ask permission. "May I?" Marcy nodded her head and Emira began to gently stroke the scar on her back.

Emira feeling the scar caused Marcy to cringe a bit but there was also something nice about how gentle she was with it which made her stomach turn.

"Well, now we know why you wore that diver's suit in the hot tub.." Emira jokingly remarked which made Marcy chuckle a bit.

"Yeah." Marcy said.

"How did you get it?" Emira stopped stroking it.

"I got it from a friend." Marcy replied. "Or at least it was someone I thought was my friend. I was helping some friends but this other friend did not like it. Not one bit. And in turn, he stabbed me in the back. I was revived eventually, but the pain is still there." Tears began to fall from her eyes and Emira pulled her into a hug.

"Oh Marcy, I'm so sorry." She said as she held her. "I'm so sorry this horrible thing happened to you."

"And it happened when I was 13." Marcy said.

Emira gasped. "And you were so young? Oh Marcy. You didn't deserve this." Emira felt guilty that she heard this horrible thing from Marcy. A deep dark secret that hurt her. It was at this moment Emira decided to return the favour. "Marcy, there's something I need to tell you."

"What?" Marcy asked as she unraveled herself from her roommate.

Emira sighed. "Look, I don't want you to freak out."

"Believe me, I've seen freakier crud." Marcy assured her.

"Okay, don't say I didn't warn you." Emira moved her hair aside to reveal her ears which were pointy and crooked, like an elf.

This made Marcy raise her eyebrows. "Woah! Those cosplay ears look good!"

Emira laughed. "No, no, feel them."

Marcy began to feel the pointy ears of her roommate and immediately gasped when she realised that they didn't feel like plastic or rubber, but skin.

She pulled her hand back. "What are you?!" Marcy asked.

Emira moved made a circle with her finger and with a puff of smoke, she made her hair brown and Marcy's ears pointy.

Marcy gasped as she put together what she was. "You're a witch?! So wait, that means…Amity's a witch! And Vee!"

"Actually Vee is a Basilisk." Emira explained. "A reptilian demon."

"Oh so….Does that count as beastiallity in some way?"

"We were wondering about it ourselves but they were too cute together." Emira replied as she made the illusions disappear.

"Okay, I have a lot of questions!" Marcy declared. "How much magic can you do?! Is that what you can do?! How much more stuff have you been hiding from me?! Are Luz and Amity's pets made of wood?! Where did you come from?!"

Emira laughed. "How about you answer my question first?"

"Fair play." Marcy remarked. "Shoot."

"Why did you tell me about your scar?" Emira asked. "Why me of all people? You could have told anyone in the house? Why me?"

"Well, you're my roommate." Marcy replied with a blush. "But, would it be much of a crazier response if I said that a part of me also likes you?"

Emira gasped and looked at Marcy with a shocked expression. "Wait, you…."

"Yeah." Marcy replied. "I think I might."

Emira blushed and laughed. "Well, I'm glad you do."

Marcy was surprised by this revelation. "Wait, what?!"

"Yeah! Marcy, I like you too!" Emira said.

Marcy had no idea what to say at this moment but squealed. "OMG!"

"Sssssshhhhh!" Emira chided. "Don't wake my sister. She might flip."

"Why?" Marcy asked. "I'm pretty sure she'll be fine with us dating. I mean, she has a human wife."

Emira was about to argue but then snapped her fingers. "Good point. So….Now that we have shared our feelings for each other, now what?"

"Well….We're in bed together." Marcy replied as she blushed.

It was at this idea the two finally had an idea on what they should do now. Emira leaned in along with Marcy and they began to share a kiss with each other.

The kissing started off smooth and slow but then it started to get a bit more passionate. During that point, Marcy was laying on her back while Emira was on top feeling her hair. Then, Marcy helped the witch out of her shirt as they continued.

That morning, Luz was busy making some bacon for breakfast this morning where Ghost was at her side, begging for a taste of the meaty goodness.

"Aww, Ghost! No. Bacon is for witches and humans." Luz said before Ghost pleaded with their eyes. Luz eventually relented and gave them a bit of bacon.

Amity arrived with a smile on her face. "Good morning, you." She wrapped her arms around Luz's abdomen.

"And good morning to you, Mrs Noceda." Luz said to her wife.

Amity kissed the back of her neck and rested her head on her back. "So, how's it going?"

Luz smiled. "Amity, I'm cooking."

"Yeah, you are." Amity agreed.

"Oh, your ears are poking out." Luz helped adjust her wife's hair so they could hide her ears.

"Thanks dear." Amity said.

Then, Marcy and Emira walked out together in their respective pyjamas. "Morning." Marcy said.

"Bacon?" Emira asked.

"Why…." Amity looked at her sister and saw that her ears were poking out. "…yes?"

"Marcy, you want orange juice?" Emira asked.

"Oh yeah." Marcy replied.

"Coming right up, sweetie." Emira then kissed Marcy on the cheek. This caused Luz and Amity to gasp in surprise, with Luz dropping the pan on the floor.

Whereas Amity was narrowing her eyes at her sister, Luz was squealing with glee. "Ahhh! I knew you were gonna end up together!"

"Luz!" Amity yelled at her wife with disapproval. "She's going through a breakup! And Marcy knows about us!"

"Mittens…I mean, Amity, I'm fine with you guys being witches."

Marcy's explanation made Amity raise an eyebrow with surprise. "Wait, you are?"

"Oh yeah, I am." Marcy said.

"Yeah, she was surprisingly cool with it when I showed her my ears." Emira said as she wrapped an arm around her new girlfriend. "It's like she's used to weird things like me."

Marcy then smiled. "Actually, I wish to tell you where my inspiration for my comic came from."

Five Hours later.

"…And then we went home after a heartbreaking goodbye." Marcy finished her story. "So, any questions?"

Luz, Amity and Emira were in shock when Marcy finished her story. "Wait, wait, you were in another world for five months fighting an evil monarch who wanted to commit mass genocide?"

"Yup." Marcy said.

"Oh jeez, that explains why you acted disturbed during my descriptive stabbing scenes." Luz remarked. "Oh that's horrible. Oh Marcy, I'm so sorry."

"It's okay." Marcy assured them as she wiped away some tears. "I'm fine. Just, talking about my past is a little upsetting."

Emira patted her girlfriend's hand. "You're okay Marcy." She kissed her on the head, leading Amity to groan.

"Come on Emira. Do you need to get mushy?"

"Says you." Emira retorted before continuing to kiss Marcy on her cheek, causing her to blush.

"Emi, please!" Marcy pleaded.

Amity's eyes went wide. "She already has a nickname?!"

"Amity, don't let it bother you." Luz said to her wife. "Your sister seems happy with Marcy."

"She's known her for three months!" She argued.

"We knew each other for three months before we got together." Luz retorted.

"Okay good point." Amity said.

"So…How about you, Luz?" Marcy asked. "Surely you must have an interesting story to tell."

"Well, it's a long one." Luz said.

Three hours later.

Everyone was eating a late lunch while dressed in their casual clothing. "Wait, are you sure that's it?" Marcy asked.

"Yeah. My mom convinced me that my decision to leave the Demon Realm to stay in the Human Realm would have made me depressed and I chose to stay there instead." Luz said.

"Yeah, that sounded like a lot of self hatred going on." Marcy said. "Plus, now that I know of Phillip and Caleb's true story, I don't think I want to write that story anymore."

"Yeah. I think it's now in bad taste." Luz said. "What should we write instead?"

Marcy began to ponder ideas. "Hmmm, the Demon Realm sounds fascinating. It's giving me a lot of ideas for a series of dark fantasy novels we could do."

Luz gasped and smiled. "That sounds like an incredible idea! You cool with that Amity?"

Amity chuckled. "You're using The Human Witch to tell your life story, so yeah."

"Well, let's go, right now!" Marcy exclaimed happily.

"Wait, are you sure, Marcy?" Emira asked. "You sure you wish to enter a new world after all those years?"

Marcy gave her new girlfriend an assuring smile. "I'll be fine. I have you, Luz and Amity by my side."

Emira h held her girlfriend's hand and kissed it. "And I will keep you safe."

"Seriously you two, you're being very mushy for a new couple." Amity said.

Later, after Marcy packed her stuff, Luz had prepared the door to the Demon Realm so they could visit Luz's actual home.

"So, can the door go anywhere else?" Marcy asked.

"My dad and others have been trying but it's a progress they think will take years." Amity said.

Marcy sighed. "I thought we could use it to visit Amphibia. Oh well. Guess I can go for something new and unique."

Luz turned the key to the door and opened it up to walk through. Amity and Luz walked through while Marcy stayed behind with her girlfriend to catch her breath.

Emira held her hand to give her some calming reassurance. "Don't worry, I'm with you."

Marcy gave Emira a smile. "Don't worry. I'm just getting ready for a new adventure." The two entered the portal hand in hand ready to get new ideas and a new adventure.
