Chapter 39: Rock Paper Scissors

"What do you mean?" he asked, ignoring the ongoing battle before him. He'd deal with them later. "This has happened before?"

"When we first met," his companion began, sighing, "one of them, I can't remember who, proposed a battle game to help forge our bond, so he said. It was a huge disaster. I still don't know how we managed not to level off this place."

"I don't think it's that bad."

"You think so?"

The sound of explosion cut off his answer.

"I WON!"

"YOU CHEATED!"

"I DID NOT!"

"Come back here and face the consequences of your actions!"
