A day had passed since the group split up, all the digidestined had rejoiced seeing all of them come together at the bottom of the mountain that made up Dex's fortress. All the digivices where connected for communication with the humans, and dragons attacking from different sides as to try and surprise the undead digimon.
"Sunny, are you sure you want to come in with us? No one is going to stop you from staying behind." Starflight said as Hagurumon's gears clicked behind him.
"I'm fine." Sunny said not wanting to go into detail about what had happened. "We are in this fight together Starflight, so if I want to go then I will."
"Yeah Sunny is right there is no room for us to be left behind." Clay proclaimed as Gazimon spoke up.
"All you digimon better not get cold feet this may very well be our last fight so lets make it count!" he shouted as the crowd fell into silence. "Whatever, let's just kick some ass."
"Starflight, we are ready whenever you are to start the attack." Izzy said as Starfligh held a button on his digivice.
"Right then. Let us begin. Hagurumon we are taking lead ready?" Starflight asked as the digivice started to glow with Hagurumon digivolving into Andromon.
"Gatling Missile!" Andromon shouted as the chest plates opened and two missiles were shot at the door to Dex's lair breaking them open.
"Let's go, we don't have much time before we are swarmed with DEXDorugreymon." Starflight said, rushing into the cave with Andromon behind him. Soon the dragonets were in the cave that Starshot was using for his own camp.
"How the hell are we here?" Starshot asked as they ran past his camp.
"Because everything in the mountain is connected, even your camp." Starflight said taking a sharp left to avoid a group of soulless digimon checking out the noise.
"Starflight, where are we even going?" Glory asked as Floramon looked around the corner.
"No clue Glory his den could be anywhere." Starflight proclaimed to the shock of everyone else.
"Then should we spit up to cover more ground?" Tsunami said with an agreeing nod from Betamon.
"It's not a good idea, aaaand there she goes." Starflight said with his palm in his face.
"Tsunami is right, we should split up." Clay said running after the seawing going north, with Sunny and Glory going to the east of the cross section.
"Guess that leaves you and me Starflight." Starshot said as both of them started to take off in the last direction west.
Later on down the corridor the pairs had split up with it turning into just the tamer and their digimon. "Clay something is off, why is there no resistance?" Gazimon asked, looking into the dimly lighted cave.
"No clue but hey makes it easy for us to find this den." Clay said as a roar had come from in front of them. "I have a feeling that the roar was not a good one."
"You would be correct DUCK!" Gazimon shouted as a dark figure rushed by them, almost grabbing clay's wing.
"Hehehe well well well little dragon. Fast enough to dodge my charge? Let's see if you can dodge this! Metal Impulse!" Dex shouted, his sanity being questioned as he consumed more digicores.
"Gazimon!" Clay shouted as Gazimon started to Digivolve the bright light blinding Dex.
"Gazimon Warp Digivolve to!" Gazimon shouted coated in orange as he grew to be the same height as Clay, getting the face of a lion, having bandages wrapped around his hands and feet, a japanese like school uniform with a black hat, a twig in his mouth, and his gray coat turning a tan. Once the digivolution was complete he had bursted out of the light lunging at Dex
"BanchoLeomon!" He would shout, grabbing the attack and forcing it into a wall. "Clay we should move and fast if we don't regroup I fear we may die here." BanchoLeomon would say as he ran beside Clay his jacket flailing as he ran.
"Guys we need to regroup somewhere he is onto us!" Clay would shout into his digivice taking a sharp corner.
"We know Clay, he is on us two." The others say at around the same time.
"How could there be more than one of him?" Starshot said as a blast could be heard in the background.
"What if he found a way to make more of him like with DORUgreymon?" Glory said as Lotusmon launched an attack to try and stop one of the DexDORUgoramon.
"But to make clear copies I mean even his personality and what's left of a consciousness." Starflight said as his voice was picked up by Sunny's digivice.
"Starflight!" Sunny would shout seeing the nightwing.
"Run while you can little dragonets you can't hide for long!" Dex would shout as he closed in on Clay.
"BanchoLeomon!" Clay would call out as his partner turned around and threw a punch at the dragon digimon.
"Flashy Boss Punch!" He would shout as the fist was surrounded by light and collide with Dex tearing his jaw clean off.
"Hehehe!" Dex would laugh, grabbing BanchoLeomon, and throwing him through the wall into Lotusmon. "That's one now for the master!" Dex would scream as both purple dragons synced. "DORU Din!"
As the fire came out towards Clay and Glory it was met with the blasts from both Hi-Andromon and GigaSeadramon. "Come on, let's go, there should be an open room up ahead." Starflight would say with three more DexDORUgoramon approaching.
Once the dragonets had reached the open room they saw the humans fighting a digimon that dwarfed even GigaSeadramon. Almost as soon as they had reached the room the DexDORUgoramon had flown in behind them and flew to be in a line with the bigger digimon. "Welcome to my palace, the place where I will start my new world!" Dex's voice echoed throughout the chamber.
"Guys the Dragons are here!" T.K. shouted as his Goddramon blocked an attack.
Once the group had given out cheers they were cut off by Dex's booming voice "DexDORUgoramon Digivolve into!" he would say as his body split into multiple parts being held together by green wire. His arms extended looking lanky and off putting, his wing now just blood red feathers with smaller bat-like wings underneath, the final thing to appear on the digimon was a green gem that looked like an emerald, but was the size of Clay's wingspan.
"Death-X-mon!" It shouted evolution complete.
"Once the evolution completed the realization hit Starflight. "Guys where is Starshot?" he asked, looking for the other nightwing only to catch a glimpse of a dragon silhouette in the gem.
"Hehehe!" Dex would laugh as the digimon started to attack them with beams from its mouth and arms.
In the middle of all the chaos the groups had all the digimon in a panic dodging the blasts or protecting one another from the blasts. Matt and Tai had an idea and had come together with their digimon BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon. A bright light blinded the battlefield as the two digimon's bodies disappeared leaving just their heads. Suddenly a white body with a black cape appeared, and attached its arms to the heads. A blade shot out of one, and a barrel out of the other. A new digimon had been formed. "Omegamon!" they shouted coming out of the fusion process. As soon as it was able to move it shot a blast at the gem fracturing it and causing it to burst out with Starshots body falling to the ground.
"Starshot!" Clay shouted as he, and BanchoLeomon caught the dragonet.
"Clay he is fine. Well still breathing at least." BanchoLeomon said as he looked in the dragonet's hand. "Look he still has his digivice which means. Darkdramon we have to fuse!"
"I'm not doing that again, not after last time." Darkdramon would shout as he locked arms with a DexDORUgoramon.
"Come on if we don't join Omegamon we might lose this!" BanchLeomon shouted as Starshot started to come around.
"Omegamon will be fine." Darkdramon said just before the Ultra level digimon was swatted into the wall of the crystalized room.
"Omegamon!" his team shouted as he was pounded into the wall by Dex.
"It's now or never!" BanchLeomon would shout as Starshot held his head.
"Look even if we could, Starshot is out so we could not fuse!" Darkdramon shouted before getting launched into the ground.
"N-no I'm fine just do it." Starshot said with a soft raspy voice holding his digivice out.
"Right. Darkdramon!" BanchoLeomon shouted as Darkdramon rolled his eyes and flew into the lion the two bodies fusing into one the same white night with a blue scarf
"Chaosmon!" They shouted with the same timer appearing on Dion, and Clay's digivices.
"Two minutes to take out this threat or else this fusion will fizzle out." Clay and Dion shout as Chaosmon charged in knocking Dex's arm away from Omegamon.
"Thanks." Omegamon would say as the other knight stood silent. "Now let's take care of this threat." Omegamon said as they stood with their cannons held up and Omegamon switching out of Alter-S and into his base form. "Garuru Cannon!"
Omegamon shouted, firing a blast of blue energy.
"Dark Prominence!" Chaosmon shouted at the same time, launching a black beam and Dex. Once the beams had collided with the digimon they went straight through him leaving him crying out in pain.
"Hehehahahahaha!" Dex laughed as he regenerated from the beams causing the two digimon to charge in, and attempted to cleave him in half only for him to regenerate as fast as he was hurt.
"We are not going anywhere with this, we need more power!" Omegamon shouted as Chaosmon nodded. "Everyone give us your strength!" Omegamon shouted to his group as they all started to close their eyes, and turn into white light that surrounded Omegamon.
"Guys help out Chaosmon!" Gigaseadramon shouted, doing the same as the other digimon.
"Omegamon mode change!" Omegamon shouted as his cape turned into two angel wings, and his armor gaining blue tear like stripes.
"Chaosmon mode change!" Chaosmon shouted doing the same as Omegamon but instead of two wings it had grown four.
"Merciful Mode!" They shouted as they came out devoid of color except for the blue lines on the armor.
"Graceful Cannon!" Omegamon shouted as he fired the pure white blast about the size of Dex.
"Forgiving Cannon!" Chaosmon shouted as he fired the pure white blast about the size of Dex.
Together these two blasts consumed Dex and shot a hole through the mountain and into space in the digital world. All that was left once the blast dissipated was a singular egg that was purple with darker purple stripes. The two digimon readied their cannons for another shot until.
"Wait!" Starshot called out getting up and trying to fly up to the egg. "Don't shoot that egg was the same when he first hatched. Maybe it is ok if we let it hatch again. Maybe I could have my brother back!" Starshot would say holding the egg close to his chest, crying a little bit at the thought of seeing talking to the friend held dearest.
"He is right to let the egg hatch plus if it is a problem we could always destroy it again." Tai would say as Omegamon let out a sigh and unfused, turning back into its components.
A loud buzzing sound could be heard as Chaosmon split back into its parts due to his timer running out. "We did it Clay! Are you happy?" the little gray digimon said, bouncing up and down.
"Pagumon, is that you?" Clay asked, picking up the little digimon.
"Yep, I'm still me just a bit tired." Pagumon said falling asleep.
"Glory!" A little plant said looking up at the rainwing, "Did we do good?"
"Yes you did. Uh?" Glory said, looking down at the plant monster.
"Tanemon!" The plant said as the other digimon had introduced themselves to the dragonets in their new forms.
"So we have Pagumon, Tanemon, Koromon, Puroromon, and Caprimon." Starflight said as the humans started to leave.
"Hey we will see you guys around!" Tai shouted to the group as they left through a portal back to the human world.
"Guess I should head out as well. Peril will be wondering where I am if she has not burnt down the house." Dion said with Clay stepping up.
"How is she by the way?" Clay asked.
"She is doing fine. She got used to walking on two legs but she said she will come see you soon. Forgot to tell you that when we met, guess the fights got me on edge." DIon said with Commandramon opening a portal for them to go back home. "Later."
"Later Dion." Clay said as Dion held up a peace sign and the portal closed behind him.
As the dragons were about to ask Starshot to get them out of there a cracking sound could be heard as the egg he was holding hatched. "Dodomon!" is said popping out of the egg.
