Chapter 10

"Its positive…" Nikki said just above a whisper.

Kayla`s heart sank. Then it fluttered. A baby. 'I'm pregnant, with Randy`s baby.' she thought, she didn't know whether to smile or cry. Her heart was torn into two, she felt like she was going to throw up. She didn't know how to feel or what to do, within the past 24 hours her life had taken such a drastic change, she was confused more than anything at this moment.

Nikki saw the frozen state Kayla was in, just as she was about to reach out and grab her hand to get a reaction from her, she hears footsteps behind her and a voice "Whats positive?"

Kayla`s eyes shot up to whom the voice belonged to, that smooth, soft voice, a voice she didn't know if she would hear again, after she told him this news. "Dwayne." she forced a small smile to play upon her lips and she walked over towards him.

Dwayne smiled down at the brunette beauty before him and leaned down brushing a kiss against her lips "Hey beautiful." he whispered against them.

Nikki saw this display and her heart sank for Kayla, it was true, just as she was about to try and move on with her life, to try and move on from Randy, this obstacle came up. And not by any means was it a bad one, Nikki smiled at the thought of her one day being pregnant with Johns baby, but this is a totally different situation and the first thing that came to her head was to protect Kayla from the pain…At least for now.

"So what was positive?" Dwayne questioned again setting his gym bag down near the bed "What did i walk in on?" a small smirk played on his lips.

Kayla cleared her throat and opened her mouth ready to speak the truth "Dwayne-"

"My pregnancy test is positive." Nikki cut off "Im pregnant." she blurted out and looked at the shocked and confused expression on Kayla`s face.

Dwayne just stared in shock, unsure what to say, but then he smiled "So I guess Congratulations are both in order to you and John." he walked over and hugged Nikki.

She chuckled nervously "Yeah…Yeah.." she smiled brightly up at him "Lets just not mention anything to John yet, I want to find the right time to tell him."

"My lips are sealed" Dwayne chuckled

Kayla bit her lower lip nervously "Uhm, Dwayne, I'm just going to walk Nikki out."

"Yeah I should get going, I have a lot to do." she laughed holding up the pregnancy test.

Kayla rolled her eyes at the amazing actress her best friend can sometimes be. As Nikki walked to the door, Kayla was about to follow when she felt strong finger wrap around her tiny worst, she turned and smiled up at the chocolate brown eyes of Dwayne. He leaned down and whispered in her ear "Don't be too long, I want to hear the answer to that question in my note." he kissed her temple lovingly.

She smiled up at him watching him walk away from her and into the bathroom. She groaned and let her head fall back. 'What am I going to do? The note! he asked me to be his girlfriend! Some girlfriend, pregnant with Randy`s baby…' she thought to herself walking over to the hotel room door, where Nikki still stood awaiting her.

She followed Nikki outside, and shut the room door behind her. Without any notice she slapped Nikki across the arm.

"Damn girl!" Nikki rubbed her arm

Kayla rolled her eyes, like that did a dent compared to the beatings she takes in the ring every night. "What the hell were you thinking?"

Nikki sighed and put both her hands on her friend shoulders "Relax, I saw the look in your eyes, your in pain, confused, you have no idea what to do." she explained "Im just trying to buy you some time to talk things through with Dwayne, you were just so happy when he walked in and noticed you right away, and kissed you."

Kayla sighed and as much as she wanted to be mad at Nikki, she couldn't, she was just looking out for her. "Yeah well.." she licked her lips "Im not used to the public displays of affection, being behind closed doors with Randy for 2 years."

Nikki rolled her eyes and snickered " Yeah well thank god that door in your life has closed."

Kayla bit her lower lip and placed a hand over her right now flat stomach "Im not so sure…"

11AM: AIRPORT

"Here I got that for you baby." Dwayne said grabbing the heavy duffle bag from Kayla`s arm.

Kayla smiled up at him and rubbed his arm "Oh, you didn't have to."

"Of course I did." He chuckled lightly as they took a seat in front of all the scheduled flights. Nikki and John were actually supposed to be here with them too, along with Brie and Brian but they decided to just meet us here. Everyone had a different flight to get to, Kayla was waiting on her flight to Boston, back home. Vince usually gave her the opportunity to write from home at times, she could get all her ideas and script writing done with the peace and quiet of her own home as well. Dwayne on the other hand was going to be back in Puerto Rico to finish the filming of Fast 5 with Vin Diesel and the rest of the crew. Dwayne had so much going on, Kayla wondered how he had time for anything sometimes.

Dwayne brought her back from her thought back taking her hand in his "Whats going on up in that beautiful brain?"

Kayla giggled softly and sighed "Ugh, just thinking of all the work i have to get done when I get back home." truth is she kept thinking about how she was going to tell this news to Dwayne, how was he going to react and not only that, how was she going to tell this news to Randy? The one person she didn't want to think of or see anymore! She wanted to be over and done with him but sadly that thought was long gone and crushed into dust!

Dwayne once again brought her from her thoughts "You can always give me a late night call, I might be able to give you some inspiration." he smiled with a wink

She shook her head and gave a small smirk, "Mmm, I forgot what a flirt you can be."

He leaned down and captured her lips with a kiss, letting his thumb slowly graze over her knuckles "Thats something I never want you to forget." he whispered against them.

"Oh well, look at this cute little couple!" A female voice beamed approaching them.

Kayla laughed and rolled her eyes, know fully well it was Nikki. She looked up and saw a smiling Nikki, holding hands with John and Brie and Brian following not too far behind. "We thought you guys would have gone on your flights by now." Brie exclaimed from behind Nikki.

Kayla shook her head "Nope we still have another hour or so."

Nikki sat next to Kayla and asked "So wait are you going back home?"

Kayla nodded her head "Yeah, ill catch up on some story lines there until next Monday night Raw."

Nikki was about to speak when John cut her off and turned to Dwayne "So…Dwayne, you and Kayla? When did this happen?" he asked curiously

Dwayne looked over at the younger wrestler and replied "Well Kayla has yet to make it official." he then looked down at Kayla with a small smirk.

Nikki gasped and hit her friend playfully on the shoulder "You still haven't given this man the title of your boyfriend?"

Kayla turned to Nikki with her eye wide as if to say 'shut up' "Well we are still talking about some things." she replied.

'Flight 101 to Puerto Rico is now boarding!' the voice boomed throughout the speakers in the airport.

Kayla looked up at Dwayne and bit her lower lip "I guess thats you."

Dwayne smiled down at her and captured her lips in one last kiss "Ill call you as soon as I land." he went in for another kiss and whispered "Im gonna miss these lips."

Kaya giggled and shot him a smirk as he stood from his seat, grabbing his luggage "Theres that smooth talk."

Dwayne chuckled slightly "Bye sweetheart, ill see you soon." he said his goodbyes to everyone else and departed in the direction of the plane.

As soon as Kayla turned her head toward her group of friends she got mixed reactions. She laughed and said "What?"

Nikki smirked "Man, ill say he's taking good care of you girl."

Brie matched Nikki`s smirk and went along with the good talk "Honestly I don't think Ive seen you this happy in that little arrangement you had with Randy."

John just shook his head, Randy was done, he was old news and he was going to regret it. He didn't know it yet, but he may as well have signed legal documents because he just lost Kayla for good. Or so this is what he thought. Nikki hadn't told anyone about Kayla being pregnant, just her twin sister Brie and thats because she knew Kayla would have no problem with her knowing. But with only the two of them knowing and Dwayne thinking Nikki was pregnant, nothing but a tangled web of lies can come from this.

"Kayla what about Randy?" John spoke up

Nikki shot a glare at her boyfriend and smacked him lightly on the arm. Seeing this Kayla just cleared her throat and sighed "What about him John?"

John leaned over placed his elbows on his knees looking over at Kayla "Two days ago you were hopelessly in love with Randy, you don't just get over something like that."

Nikki cut in "What are you doing?" she whispered

"Really, John, we know he's your best friend but stop defending him, he's a jerk!" Brie exclaimed following her sister.

Kayla cut in between the two girls, noticing Brian wasn't saying a word, he was just smiling amused and keeping to himself. "Listen John, i know that, I'm trying to get over him okay, Randy broke me, even though I knew what I was getting into when I was with him, I just thought maybe some day he would feel the same." she sighed and bit her lip "But he doesn't and who's to say I can't be happy with someone who truly cares about me?"

John nodded his head "This is true." he paused "But are you absolutely sure Randy doesn't care about you?"

Kayla laughed dryly "All you have to do is see the countless times he's claimed that all I was was sex to him!"

"What if thats just a cover up?" John asked calmly

Kayla raised a brow and couldn't help but laugh again "John seriously stop defending him, he can't hear you."

"Im-" John was soon cut off by Nikki "Baby lets just stop this whole conversation." she eyed him pleadingly.

John threw his hands in the air, in defeat. "Fine, sorry."

Just as the conversation was dying down, Brain spoke up for the first time in 15 minutes "Not to add fuel to the fire here but…uh.." he nodded his head in the direction front of us "Orton is here and coming our way."

My eyes widened and looked at Nikki. Nikki then looked over at John "Did you know he was coming?"

John sat up strait in his chair "I mean he told me at the gym he had a flight out at 12 noon, but I had no idea we`d run into him with Kayla still here."

Nikki looked over at Kayla and just mouthed 'Breathe'.

"Hey guys, whats up?" Randy approached the group, greeting them. As soon as everyone acknowledged Randy, Nikki looked over at Kayla who seemed to be very interested in her phone at this point.

Randy smirked knowing very well Kayla was ignoring him, he tilted his head, trying to get a good look into her eyes "Hello Kayla."

Kayla just licked her lips and continued looking through her phone, When Randy didn't get a response her sat in the chair right next to her. Nikki sighed "Randy don't start with her."

"What am I doing?" he looked over at Johns girlfriend "Im just sitting down."

John stood up from his seat "Well I'm going to go get a coffee."

"Im right behind you." Brian said following Johns lead.

Nikki sat there in shock "John!" she exclaimed and looked over at Kayla "Ill be right back Kay, remember you have no reason to talk to this baffon!" she glared over at Randy.

Brie leaned down by Kayals side and whisper "Are you going to be ok here?"

Kayla just looked up at her friend and smiled with a soft nodd. Before Brie left to follow Nikki, she looked over at Randy. "Don't be such a dick to her, would you?" she stated before wandering behind her twin sister.

Randy looked over at the group who went across the airport to the Starbucks to grab a coffee and then his eyes lingered back down to Kayla "Man they won't take their eyes off you, what do they think I'm going to kill you?"

Kayla sighed putting her phone in her purse "Possibly, I mean you don't know your own strength sometimes."

Randy sighed almost as if with regret, he looked up into her eyes that were once bright and are now dark with anger. He tried to reach for her hand but she just jerked away "Kayla, you have to know I would never want to hurt you."

Kayla snickered and looked away from his gaze "You already did…" she whispered

Randy sighed running his hand through his short hair " Damn it, Kayla you knew where I stood in our arrangement, how I felt."

"I know." Was all she said

Randy just watched her, looking strait ahead "You know?" he questioned

"Its my fault…allowing myself to fall in love with you, to know that I was going to get hurt because you could never feel the same way."

There was a pinch in his chest when she said that, but he thought nothing of it he decided to shrug it off, but deep inside it was killing him, he wanted nothing more than to make her his, and him be her only one, but he was too selfish and arrogant to allow himself to see that. "So what now? your just going to ignore me? Only talk to me when its necessary?" he asked

'I don't know yet, I'm carrying your baby and that changes everything.' she thought but such different words came out of her mouth "its what you deserve, don't you think?" she stated calmly

'Flight 1210 to Boston is now boarding' the voice rang though the airport yet a second time that morning.

Kayla picked u her luggage and adjusted her purse higher on her shoulder "Bye Randy." was all she said before she left him sitting there. He just watched as she ran over to John, Nikki, Brie, and Brian and said her goodbyes to them and right after ran to her gate to catch her flight. Thats the last he saw of her that day and he was worried he would never get the real Kayla back. She was just a stone cold figure of what she used to be, to him.

So I was feeling very inspired and I went for another chapter! So here is Chapter 10! In less than a week? Im on a roll! What do you think? Thoughts on what will happen to Kayla and Dwayne. Will she tell Randy? Please review! :)
