Chapter 15

8 Weeks Later- April 23rd:

It has been a couple days over eight weeks since the day Kayla decided not to tell Randy about the baby and the night that she was over Nikki and Johns house spending some girl time with Nikki. Today was the first doctors appointment with her OBGYN, Dr. Jeanie, she was now 12 weeks along in her pregnancy, she was supposed to have a first appointment done 2 weeks ago at 10 weeks but the appointments were overbooked and she couldn't get one in until today.

Kayla sat nervously in the doctors room, her feet dangling above the bed and her mind racing so many thoughts, she just wanted everything to go smoothly and make sure her baby was doing great, baking in her oven, She smiled at the fact and looked down at the small forming bump on her tummy, for only 3 months her belly was already starting to protrude just a bit, she smiled and couldn't wait until her baby grew bigger and she could really start to see the life grow inside her.

Her thoughts were soon cut off by Dr. Jeanie knocking on the door "All set in here?"

Kayla looked back at the cracked open door and smiled with a small node "Yes."

A taller woman with a slender figure walked through the door "You must be Kayla." She stated, the doctors blue eyes smiling at her.

"Guilty." Kayla proclaimed with a small laugh.

Dr. Jeanie took a seat in the short rolling chair and rolled over to the front of her new patient "So how are we doing today mommy? Any morning sickness, back aches?"

Kayla sighed as she relaxed fully on the bed "Uhm, no back aches yet but the morning sickness comes and goes," she paused for a moment and thought "I have been getting dizzier than usual, is that normal?"

Dr. Jeanie smiled "Oh yes, you will be feeling so many different things taking over your body that it can be confusing, but if you have any questions, you can always give me a call day or night." she added in "Also just as a precaution make sure you always take those pre-natal vitamins and drink lots of water, especially with the summer coming up."

"Will do." Kayla smiled with a nod and thought of another question "Also I normally exercise on a daily basis, maybe 5 times a week, would I still be able to do so going forward in the pregnancy?"

The doctor nodded as she marked a few notes down on her pad "Oh yes, its very healthy for you and the baby but you may want to slow it down or take it much easier than your used to, if you start feeling too dizzy or tired, just stop immediately and take a decent break or go home even." she explained.

Kayla just nodded as she rubbed her stomach and saw the doctor looking through her papers once more. "Now, Kayla according to our calculations and your last period, your babes due date will be…" she paused a moment and then continued "October 21st. You could potentially be early or you could be late if in fact you do turn out to be late, we will make an appointment to induce you no later than 4 to 5 days after your due date." She explained

"Ok, Great and to find out the sex?" Kayla smiled eagerly.

The doctor gave a small laugh, most of her moms to be were asking this question "Well, we do it at 20 weeks, so in another 2 months you should be getting your ultrasound appointment to find out the sex of the little one." She stated pointing to Kayla's belly.

Kayla nodded her head and bit her lips, looking down at her baby belly, she couldn't wait to keep going on this journey and finally find out if she was having a little prince or princess! The doctor broke her from her thoughts. "Shall we start the exam?"

Dr. Jeanie started her exam on Kayla just making sure everything was ok and the baby was positioned where it should be at this point, she also explained by the next appointment she would be able to hear the babes heart beat. Maybe no less than 15 minutes later Kayla was saying goodbye to Dr. Jeanie and on her way out of the office. She quickly dug through her purse to find both her keys and her cell phone, once she found them she turned on her phone and saw she had 5 missed call and 3 text messages. 2 missed calls from Nikki, she laughed at the thought of Nikki waiting by the phone to make sure the appointment went smoothly, 1 missed call from Brie, John and Dwayne.

She pressed the button on her key ring to open the doors to her car, opened her door, threw her purse in on the passenger seat and slowly got into the car herself, closing the door once she was inside. She looked down again at her phone and smiled deciding to call Dwayne first she knew he had his phone glued to him waiting for her call, he had been such an amazing friend through all this and she knew she was lucky to have him, he was always checking on her, giving her advice with anything through the pregnancy that she had doubts in and most of all making sure she was okay, although it never failed that he would bring up Randy from time to time and try to get her to change her mind about telling him.

After the phone rang about two times, she heard a sweet voice come through the phone "How did it go?"

Kayla laughed softly and shook her head "Damn get right to the point, no dinner and foreplay." she smirked at her own analogy.

Dwayne let out a chuckle "Damn strait, you know I like to get right to that sweet stuff."

Kayla laughed and couldn't help but blush "Jesus be anymore blunt Dwayne!"

"You know you like it." He laughed "But seriously how did it go?"

She smiled and laid her head back on the headrest of the car seat "Perfect, Doctor says everything looks great and the baby is in the position it needs to be, I just need to always take my pre-natals and drink a lot of water, She also told me the due date would be October 21st."

"Good! Great!." he stated and then took a small pause "I have to see if I can by a miracle have off that day."

Kayla smiled and tilted her head a bit, he was so sweet to want to be there with her, but she knew how much he had on his plate right now, not only was he a huge superstar he was a huge actor "Dwayne, I know how busy you are, don't break your head over-"

Before she could finish he cut her off "You better believe you damn cute ass I will break my head over this."

She gave a soft laugh at that and shook her head "Whether you are in the delivery room or not this baby will know Uncle Dwayne loves it."

Dwayne just smirked through the phone "Who else would he love, Uncle John?" Pfft!"

Kayla rolled her eyes "Dwayneeeee…"

He just sighed as if in defeat "I'm kidding!" he continued "Speaking of which, call him! he's going to have a titty attack if you don't let him know how the first appointment went either."

Kayla raised a brow "Him or Nikki?"

Dwayne sighed "Well…Both, including Brie!" He exclaimed "Damn you got too many people who love you, I can't keep up anymore girl!"

She just laughed and gave a shake off her head as she started up her car getting ready to say her goodbyes to Dwayne and head home to call the other 3 who were waiting by their phones. She knew she had 4 of the most amazing people in her life, well she had more, the whole raw and smack down roster knew about her and loved her, they loved her personality and her ways, so she had no complaints she loved her job and the people in it. Now with this beautiful baby on the way, she felt happy with her life, she couldn't ask for more. She then sighed 'Well there will always be one thing missing but I pray this baby will be my saving grace and help me forget about that one thing. Randy.' she thought to herself.

Later that Night- Detroit, Michigan:

Randy sat in his locker room and taped up his wrists, getting ready for the night he had tonight, it had been awhile since he was in such an intense story line such as this one, since last week when Kane his his father Cowboy Bob Orton, in the back of the head with a pipe, today as revenge he had to kidnap Kane's father and lock him in a freezer backstage. it was going to be a long and intense night, as usual though, he loved it, he always loved going out there and wrestling or entertaining the crowd, but for the past couple weeks something has been off. He just can't seem to keep his mind strait or keep his head in the game.

He sighed and lifted off the steel chair he was sitting on and ran a frustrated hand through his short hair, and he thought about her. He thought about her all the time, it seems like lately she has been on his mind more than ever and she has been weighing on him like a ton of bricks. He hasn't seen her in a little bit over two months which could be whats causing the problem. John had told him from the beginning that she was going to be working from home, she would be doing all her scripts and creative writing back home in her apartment in Jacksonville, Florida.

He couldn't believe she had left without saying a word to him, this is probably why his mind raced al the time. 'Why did she leave, why didn't she tell me? Is she okay? Does any of this have to do with what went on between us?' he thought. He groaned frustrated, his mind just wouldn't give him a break. He wondered so much why this bothered him so and why he couldn't stop thinking about her. Some day he found his mind getting clouded by her at the gym or thinking about he in bed at night, the way they used to sleep perfectly in each others arms, or the way she always wrapped her leg around his under the sheets, the way she smelled so sweet and fresh.

"Oh god. " He groaned "My head is so fucked up." He mumbled to himself.

He heard his locker room door open and a soft chuckle come from the person walking through the door "Did I just hear you talking to yourself? You know that character you play where you hear all the voices in your head, that's supposed to be an act man."

Randy rolled his eyes and threw a water bottle at his best friend, which he seemed to catch instantly "Very fucking funny." he sighed and lead against the cold wall "Im not so sure anymore man."

John raised a brow and nudged his head at his more than frustrated best friend "Whats eating at you?"

Randy looked at John, unsure if he should tell John his thoughts, he hasn't told anyone anything, he always shrugs off his thoughts, hoping they will just go away but in the last two months they have been growing. Randy paced back and forth on a small spout of the locker room, rubbing the back of his neck trying to find the right words to start this conversation.

John just let out a soft chuckle, this was beginning to amuse him a bit "You know, keep pacing like that and you`ll dig a hole in the floor."

Randy shot him a glare "John, I'm trying to find a way to tell you something, I'm serious here!"

John put his hands up in defense "Sorry." he sighed and couldn't take watching Randy pace for another second "Dude just spit it out, whichever way you tell me, you still have to tell me so who the hell cares."

Randy rolled his neck back and forth with a sigh, cracking it in the process "Alright, I-Uh…" He paused "I can't stop thinking about…" he took longer than a few seconds to finished this sentence.

"Aboutttt.. Dude out with it!" John exclaimed

"Kayla!" Randy exclaimed frustrated as he took a seat next to John waiting for his response.

John definitely was not expecting this, although he did see it coming one day but he didn't know that day would be today. He gave a small smirk and leaned back in his chair "Kayla?" He questioned

"Yes, Kayla…" He saw John expression and sighed "Dude why are you giving me that look?"

"Because." John shrugged his shoulder amused "I told you."

Randy gave a semi shocked expression and shook his head "Told me? Told me What?!"

John laughed "You can't stop thinking about her but you still don't see the big picture do you?" He questioned

"What the fuck are you talking about? What big picture?" He exclaimed, unamused that John was having a ball with his issues.

"You, Randy Orton, " John began "Have feelings for Kayla, and you always have!"

Randy groaned now even more frustrated "Why do I tell you shit?" He questioned and shook his head "How many times have I told you that I don't have feelings for her, I don't love her!"

John crossed his arms over his chest "Okay then why don't you tell me why you can't stop thinking about her? Huh?"

Randy just stared at John and couldn't get any words to come out his mouth "Well- I- I don't know, Maybe…"

John cut him off "Oh yeah interesting perspective there Orton."

"Alright smart-ass!" Randy sighed "Maybe its just because I'm so used to having her around and she's been gone for so long, maybe I just miss having her around, you know, " he suddenly smirked "For a good night."

John closed his eyes shut in a frustrated manner "God what did she see in you." he whispered as he let out a breath of air. "Randy you have to face it man, you don't just miss her here, you miss her being with you and the reason you think about her so damn much, is because she's under your skin, you keep thinking about her to make up for not allowing yourself to show your feelings for her, to yourself or anyone!"

Randy licked his lips and gave his friend a blank stare "Who are you, Dr. Phil?"

John just got out out of his seat with a sigh and shook his head "I'm going to go, clearly you are still in denial, you will accept the fact that you can't stop thinking about her but won't accept the remote possibility that you have feelings for her."

Randy just placed one hand on his hip and ran the other through his short hair letting out a breath, just as John was about to open the locker room door and leave Randy asked "How do I stop thinking about her, That`s all I want to know."

John laughed softly "You won't." he paused and shrugged his shoulders "Not until you find the real meaning behind why your thinking of her, and even then you may not."

Randy just sat back on the flooding chair with a thud as John walked out the door and he was left with his thoughts. 'Love? Do I love Kayla? Is that possible?' he thought for a split second and then shook his head from it 'No definitely not, I can't get mixed up with love, commitment and all that bullshit, I just miss her being around, that's it.' he thought again, more so like he was trying to convince himself of this reasoning.
