Chapter 18

Kayla and Dwayne were both seated at Kayla favorite restaurant in Jacksonville. The waiter had just brought them two glasses of ice water and Kayla had yet to noticed that Randy, John and Nikki were sitting a couple tables away, she was so engrossed with her conversation with Dwayne that she didn't even take the time to look around.

She shook her head and placed the napkin on her knees "Dwayne, are you sure you`ll be able to take the day off from taping to come to the birth?"

"Yes." He sighed and looked her strait in the eyes.

"Its just that your so busy and Im not sure if they would want to let you go for that day, I don't want you to feel pressured to come." She replied genuinely.

"Kayla." His hand reached over the table and brushed over hers "Who else is going to be there with you while you have him?" he questioned with concern "You need someone there with you for support and not to bring this up but you refuse on telling Randy."

Kayla sighed and felt a stab in her heart, lately she's been feeling so guiltily about not telling Randy about this, she knew it wasn't right but she just couldn't go through with telling him and then go through the rejection to both her and her baby. Just as she was about to speak up Dwayne phone started to ring.

He sighed and reluctantly grabbed his phone from his pocket "Sorry Kay."

She shook her head "No its fine, Please."

He put the phone to his ear and leaned back in the chair "Hello?" he took a small pause "Yeah." he nodded his head "Give me one second."

Dwayne put the phone on mute and looked over at Kayla "Im sorry Kay, I just have to take this really quick and ill be right back inside."

Kayla smiled softly and nodded "No worries, go ahead."

Just as she said that, he lifted up off the chair and walked outside the restaurant to take the call. Kayla was looking through the menu, trying to figure out what she wanted, or what the baby was in the mood for, so to speak. She bit her lower lip as she flipped through both the meats and the chicken, until she reached the seafood, which she knew she couldn't have being pregnant because of the mercury in some seafood. She sighed and turned back to the page with the meats. She was so undecided, she might just get a salad. Just then she could have swore she felt eyes on her and just as she was about to look up she saw two hands bang on the table and as her eyes traveled up the mans arms, she noticed very familiar tattoos and her heart went cold, then her eyes met with the beautiful icy blue ones that always made her go weak, the ones that she fell in love with. It was him. It was Randy.

"We Need to talk." He stated firmly but calmly.

He heart leaped into her throat, 'oh no, he found out, he did the math, he knows this baby is his.' those were her first thoughts, but she had no way out of this, she had to accept talking to him. She cleared her throat and began "Uhm, Randy listen I'm here with Dwayne for dinner."

Randy lost no time in taking a seat where Dwayne was sitting previously "Oh I know." he stated "I saw." he took a small pause and shrugged his shoulders "Frankly I could care less."

Kayla took a deep breath, she knew he was pissed "Randy Please just let me-"

He cut her off and leaned his arms against the table "No your going to let me talk first." he stated again with a low tone but very firm, she knew that tone and she knew he was pissed off.

Kayla just nodded her head as Randy continued "Is this why you left? Because you got pregnant and you couldn't face me?"

Just as she opened her mouth to speak he cut her off again "What were you afraid of what I would think?" he questioned "Cause what I think is this is your business, I have no reason to judge you but all those times you claimed to love me and then you go out a few weeks later and get pregnant?"

Kayla was so confused, she was trying to figure out what he was thinking in his head "Wait Randy what are you talking about?"

He smirked "Now is not the time to play dumb, its a little too late for that."

She figured it out, he thought this baby was someone else's baby, he thought that she started dating someone else after him and she got pregnant soon after. I guess John and Nikki hadn't told him it was his when she walked into the restaurant and he had seen her pregnant. "Randy please you have everything wrong, Please lets talk-"

He cut her off again, looking into her eyes "No I'm very aware of what is going on and just so you know you won't have to worry about me butting in on you and your little family here."

"Damn it Randy listen to me!" Kayla exclaimed but not loud enough to bring attention to their table and just as she was about to speak up again she saw both John and Nikki approach the table. She rolled her eyes and gave a sigh, she was starting to get really pissed off from getting cut off by people and not getting what she had to say out.

"Randy man, lets go this is not the time or place to do this." John whispered to him trying to get him to walk away.

Nikki looked over at Kayla sympathetically and mouthed "I'm sorry" to her.

Randy shook his head and pulled his chair away from the table "No its fine, I'm done talking to her."

Kayla sighed and looked up into his blue eyes, the pain and sadness running through his eyes were unbearable. She couldn't stand him thinking this was someone else's baby. "Randy please can you just let me say one thing."

He shook his head and replied this time with a softer tone "Theres no need Kayla, really." he sighed and gave a nod over to John and Nikki, "Come on guys lets go."

John and Nikki both looked over at Kayla sympathetically, John just started walking with Nikki by his side and when they past by Kayla he squeezed her shoulder lightly in reassurance. Kayla felt like her heart was breaking into piece for Randy, she felt like crying right there in that moment, her head still looking down at her pregnant belly, she couldn't dare look up at Randy.

She then felt Randy stop right next to her, she slowly looked up at him, tears threatening to fall from her eyes. Randy looked up and away from her and saw Dwayne coming back from outside, he saw him stop and talk with John and Nikki. Randy snickered and shook his head looking back over at Kayla "I hope your happy with him." he cleared his throat and looked into her eyes very genuinely "Congratulations Kay." he stated and as he was about to walk away he felt her grab his hand lightly "Randy wait."

It took all he had in him not to stop right there and listen to everything she had to say. But he didn't stop, he reached over with his right hand and slowly pulled her hand off his left, he squeezed her hand softly and let it drop to her side as he walked away and she just watched him leave.

Kayla now most definitely knew that what Randy really thought was that she was pregnant with Dwayne's baby and that her and Dwayne had been together ever since she ended things with him and it broke her heart, she didn't want him to think that she didn't love him but at the same time her mind was confused, why would he care if she was with Dwayne and pregnant with his baby? Its not like he wanted to be in that position, he never confessed to her that he loved her and him acting this way came as a shock to her but absolutely did hurt her.

She grabbed her purse and got up off the chair as she saw Dwayne coming toward her, she felt the tears wanting to fall out, she felt it about to happen and she didn't want to cry there. She looked up at Dwayne "Lets go now please!" she exclaimed softly. Dwayne held her hand tightly and walked with her out of the restaurant and to his car. As soon as they reached his car she backed him up against his car and hugged him tightly, laying her face on to his chest and letting out all the tears. He just rubbed her back softly and kissed the top of her head, he leaned down and whispered softly in her ear "Lets take you home beautiful."

Randy drove furiously to the hotel, his emotions kept switching from depressed to angry. John was in the passenger seat next to him and Nikki sat in the back. Nikki has been texting the whole ride with Kayla, trying to convince her to try and talk to Randy to tell him somehow, but Kayla apparently was so convinced that Randy hated her, she thought he'd never want to talk with her again and that was enough to make her not even attempt to talk to Randy.

Nikki looked over at Randy furiously driving "Randy maybe you should just call Kayla and maybe have a calmer conversation with her."

Randy shook his head with a laugh "No Nikki, Ive seen and heard everything I need, there is no need to talk with her again."

John looked over at his friend with a sigh "Man, Nikki is right, you need to have another conversation with her, you didn't even let her get a word in or explain anything."

"What would she need to explain?!" He questioned loudly making a fierce right turn "Everything seemed very clear, she started dating Dwayne, fucked him and ended up pregnant."

John saw his driving and was truly thinking they were going to crash into someone of something "Randy you need to clam the fuck down on your driving OK, this is nobody's fault but your own."

Randy suddenly found an empty space on a curb and came to a screeching halt, making Nikki bounce back and forth in the back seat. Nikki shook her head "Well at least he made it a point to stop in a parking space."

John had to bite back a smile or laugh from his girlfriends comment. He looked over again at Randy and he was glaring strait at him. "What did you say?"

John shook his head "Man you can't deny that this is your fault, if you would have just admitted your feelings to her sooner than this-"

John was cut off by Nikki "Wait…What, Admitted his feelings sooner?" she questioned and lifted herself to reach the back of the passenger seat where John sat and she looked over at Randy "You admitted feelings about Kayla?"

Randy shot a glare towards John and John just cleared his throat shrugging his shoulders, he didn't think Nikki was paying attention and would put two and two together but apparently he was wrong.

Nikki shouted "Randy Answer me!"

Randy sighed and leaned his head back against the headrest of the seat "Yes!" he screamed "Damn it Nikki, Yes I told John I finally figured out I was in love with Kayla!"

Nikki shook her head in a pissed off manner, he figured this out a little too late, imagine if Kayla really had moved on with Dwayne, there is no reason why he should be pissed at her, she would have been moving on with her life after Randy dumped on the idea of ever having a relationship with her. But this wasn't the case, the case was the baby was Randy's baby, Kayla was madly deeply in love with Randy, and Randy jumped to conclusions without letting her get a word in to explain anything to him. "Serves you right." Nikki commented and sat back in her seat.

John looked back at Nikki "Hey Nikki!" he exclaimed at her comment

Randy clenched his jaw and as much as he wanted to scream at Nikki for her comment she was right, he let Kayla walk out of his life and now it was too late. "Nah John its alright…" he paused and sighed "She's right, I was a dumb ass."

John looked over and felt bad for his friend, if he only knew what the truth was. John wanted so bad to tell Randy the truth but it wasn't his place or Nikki's place or anyone's place who knew about Kayla's baby. The only person who should be the one to tell Randy about his baby is Kayla because this is Randy and Kayla's business and nobody else's. "Randy why don't you just call her and talk to her again?"

Randy cleared his throat and shook his head "No John, I just have to accept the fact that I lost her." he sighed pulling out of the parking space "Lets just get the hell out of here and get ready for our flight for the next show." he stated starting to drive back to the hotel.

Kayla threw her purse down on the couch and ran a shaky hand through her dark brown loose curls and sighed. Dwayne closed the door behind them and put both his hands and both his pockets "So Randy thinks that's my baby and that you and I are together?"

Kayla turned around to face Dwayne and nodded her head "Apparently." she whispered "Thats what I got from what he was saying."

"Is there any way that you just misunderstood him?" Dwayne questioned stepping closer to her.

Kayla shook her head "No, No It was clear what he was saying and now I don't think he's ever going to want to see or hear from me again."

Dwayne sighed and took a few more steps closer to her "Why don't you just call him and explain? You are upset and in pain about this..."

Kayla snickered "No absolutely not, this is his fault for not letting me explain and get a word in! I mean who is he to come and speak to me in that tone?" She asked "What if I had moved on with you? huh? then what? I would have to sit there and be condemned by Randy for moving on?" she questioned with pain and fury lacing her voice.

Dwayne knew the look in her eyes, he knew she was mixed with so many emotions right now and he hated seeing her like this, especially pregnant with the baby "Listen, beautiful, I know your upset but maybe you should sit and calm down, its not good for the baby." he stated taking her one hand in his trying to lead her on to the couch.

She smiled softly at his advice and let him take her over to the couch. She sat down and he followed her, sitting right next to her. "I just think this is a sign to leave Randy out of my life."

Dwayne nodded "Could be." he then lifted her chin to meet his gaze "But what if its a sign for you to tell him?"

Kayla shook her head and removed his hand from under her chin and brought her gaze back down to her belly "No." she stated simply "If he wants to think this is your baby, that's on him for not letting me explain anything."

Dwayne lifted his arm, resting it on the back of the couch "And your OK with him thinking that?"

Kayla bit her lip "Not really." she leaned back against the couch "I wish he hadn't seen me pregnant at all but I guess I just have to live with this, right?" she looked up at him questioningly.

Dwayne looked down into her green eyes, she looked so beautiful, but then again she always did and he felt himself wanting to kiss her, he wanted to make her feel so amazing, so beautiful like she really was, but he couldn't overstep his boundaries, he knew all she saw him as was a friend, they had already tried the relationship thing and that failed, with her still being in love with Randy. He heard her say his name again, questioning if he was listening or not. 'Fuck Boundaries.' he said to himself inside his mind. He placed his left hand on Kayla's waist bringing her closer to him, he leaned down, his lips centimeters away from hers, he could feel her breath on his, his lips finally claimed hers and he let his lips move slowly against hers. He found himself pulling her closer, she wasn't pulling away, he took that as a sign to deepen the kiss, he felt her open her mouth allowing his tongue to enter exploring her mouth as she explored his.

The passion was short lived when Kayla placed her hands on his chest and pulled away seconds later. She licked her lips and moved away from him slowly. He sighed and looked down in disappointment, he cursed himself slightly under his breath and then turned to look back up at Kayla "Kay, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have overstepped like that."

Kayla bit her lower lip and shook her head "No its OK." she cleared her throat and looked up into his eyes "Its not like I stopped it right away either."

"Listen I know your in love with Randy and I shouldn't have done that." he sighed and ran a hand over his head "I just can't help how I feel for you and I couldn't take not kissing you in that moment."

Kayla smiled softly and blushed "Dwayne I know and your such an amazing person, sometimes I wish I fell in love with you."

Dwayne matched her smile "No you don't Kay, but I appreciate you trying to make me feel better."

Kayla just laughed softly "Now why would you say I don't wish that?"

"Because I've seen how you look at Randy and the way you talk about him and the way you were when you were with him." Dwayne shrugged and lifted off from the couch "I don't think you would ever be able to do that with me even if you wanted to."

Kayla looked up at his tall figure and nodded her head, maybe he was right "Yeah…" she whispered

"Hey." Dwayne got her attention, he squatted down to be at her height on the couch "Seriously don't worry about this, I'm a big boy, Ill be OK."

Kayla smiled "I know you will" She nodded in confirmation.

"Good" he stated with a smiled and kissed her forehead before lifting himself from the squatting position "So ill come by and see you the next time I have off or get the chance OK?"

Kayla smiled and nodded "Sure. Bye Dwayne."

Dwayne walked away from the couch and started towards the door. Once he reached the door he smiled looking back at her. "Bye Beautiful."

It was Monday Night Raw and WWE was in Chicago, Illinois for this show, Kayla had been up all night with pain in her back, she couldn't sleep at all and she was dead tired by the time Monday night came around. Although it wasn't only her back that was bothering her, Randy was on her mind more than ever now. She still couldn't get over the fact that he thought this was Dwayne's baby, a part of her wishes he knew the truth and he would want to be a family with her, only God knows how much she misses Randy.

She was about to turn on the TV to start watching Raw when he cell phone started going on on her bedside table. She walked over, looked at the caller ID and answered it with a smile. "Hey Nik!"

"Hey Kay!" She could feel Nikki's smile on the other end of the phone "How are you feeling today?" She questioned.

Kayla knew exactly what Nikki was referring to "You mean since the whole Randy exploding on me in a public restaurant thing yesterday?" she sighed and let herself fall down on the bed "I don't know how to feel."

"I know hunn, but you can't just keep yourself locked up thinking about it either." Nikki advised.

Kayla rolled on her side and rubbed her big belly "No, I know that…" she paused for a moment "I just wish things were different."

"How so?" Nikki asked

Kayla felt tears coming to the surface, she wanted to badly to run to Randy and tell him, tell him everything, that she loved him, that this was his baby but she didn't know what was stopping her, fear maybe. "My previous relationship with Randy, I just wish Randy was different, I wish he wanted to love me, wanted to be with me, that way he would want to share in my happiness of our baby." she stated.

Nikki sighed and bit her lip, it was taking all she had in her not to say a word to Kayla about Randy confessing he was in love with her, she could she John sending her a glare not to tell anything to Kayla and she just waved him off, as if she didn't know not to say anything. She rolled her eyes and sighed getting back to her conversation with Kayla on the phone "Kay, Hunn, why don't you just try and call him to talk to him?"

"For what?" She asked "So I can get hung up on or rejected?" she questioned "No thanks!"

Nikki shook her head frustrated at her friend "Kayla you don't know what will happen if you just let everything out to him."

"Oh but I do Nik," she started and just as she was about to continue she heard through the background a stage hand come in a let Nikki know that she was on in 3 minutes.

"Oh shit, Kay Listen I have to-"

Kayla cut her off with a smile "I know I heard, do great out there tonight!" She commented

Nikki smirked "Girl you know the Bella twins always bring it!"

Kayla just shook her head and said her goodbyes to Nikki on the phone. She rubbed her belly and wondered when this little boy would be making an appearance to bring happiness to her life, not that she wasn't happy with her life but she needed this little boy to show her what true love was, because she knew as soon as she had this little boy in her arms, there would be no love like that one to compare. "See you soon little guy." She whispered to he belly.

Ok Lots of things going on in this chapter! Randy thinks Kayla and Dwayne are together and that the baby she is carrying is Dwayne's? Nikki found out that Randy finally figured out he has feelings for Kayla and Dwayne couldn't help but let his emotions get the best of him and kiss Kayla! What are your feelings on this chapter?
