Chapter 22

4 Months Later: Mid March 2012

It was a Sunday afternoon in March and Kayla was a multi-tasking mom as she held a now 6 month old Jacob in her arms as he bounced up and down on her lap. While she had him in her arms, She held her cell phone between her shoulder and her cheek talking to the manager of the creative writing team. They had so much to be talking about the moment, Kayla`s script for Monday night raw, tomorrow was a long few weeks in the making. First off John and Dwayne had a story line going against each other and this story line came to her so that there would be n epic match at the upcoming Wrestlemania between "The Rock and John Cena!" She knew fans were raving about that match whether they were on team Rock or team Cena. Along with that she had also put Randy and Kane in a feud together which led to the promo that would be taking place tomorrow night, Josh Matthews would be interviewing Randy about this very topic.

She nodded her head a couple times at the voice on the phone and laughed softly as she heard her son giggle while looking down at his feet moving up and down. She quickly said her goodbyes to the same voice and looked up at her computer screen, rereading the scripts she had in place for tomorrow, there was no Divas matches but there were a couple promos, nether of them involving Nikki or Brie at the moment. As she kept scanning through she came to the section of the script where Josh would be interviewing Randy, and immediately her heart fluttered, just with the mention of his name, it was still able to make her heart skip a beat.

She looked down at Jacob and kissed the top of his dark down hair causing him to look back and up at his mom. She laughed as he giggled. She squeezed his cheek and kissed him with a slight amount of pressure. "God I love you little boy." She whispered to him with a big smile. She couldn't imagine her life without that little boy and everyday she reminded herself what a blessing he was to her, and everyday he reminded her more of his father.

She sighed and laid back on the computer chair, Jacob relentlessly trying to squirm out of her hands and on to the floor. She began to think about Randy, not that there was a day that went by that she didn't but it frustrated her to no end, how could she still love a man who refused to love her back? refused to give her any type of commitment, and refused to even give her a chance as his girlfriend? What still bothered her the most was the fact that he was able to make someone else his girlfriend, he was able to make that commitment with someone else, but yet with her he didn't eve want to speak of the subject, god forbid she ever brought it up, it was one of their most known fights. So this brought her to think what was wrong with her? Did Randy truly just find her to be a good time and nothing more? Despite the long talks at night and sweet gestures from Randy that ended the next morning.

She was shaken out of her thoughts when Jacob began whining and struggling to get out of her hands and move on to the floor. She shook her head with a soft laugh 'You certainly have your dads temper' she thought to herself as she lifted her self of the chair, placed his on her hip and walked out of the office room with him, she walked into the living room and placed him on the play mat that laid on the floor for him to play. She knew she had to keep a close eye on him now that he was crawling everywhere, so she decided to grab an apple as a snack and sit with him while he played.

Just as she took a bit of her apple she felt the vibration of her phone in her jean pocket, she lifted herself enough to grab it and looked at the caller ID, before she smiled and picked it up "Hello there Mr. Johnson."

"You know how I find it so sexy when you call me that, you need to stop girl." He answered playfully.

She laughed softly and grabbed Jacob from where he crawled off to back to the center of the play mat "Oh I'm sorry, my mistake, what can I do for you?" she paused "Mr. Johnson?" she smirked.

Dwayne laughed wholeheartedly "Oh your askin for it!" he then changed his tone "But I just wanted to see how you and my little dude were doing?"

Kayla smiled and ruffled the little boys hair, who now was on all fours in front of her "So great, we couldn't be better!" she took a brief pause "How about you? Ready for Raw tomorrow?"

"To give Cena a piece of my mind?" he questioned "Absolutely." He smirked over the phone

Kayla just smirked and rolled her eyes "You guys take this stuff wayyy to seriously."

Dwayne just laughed at her comment and decided to change the subject "Listen you going to be home tonight? I was thinking of stopping by just to see you guys."

Kayla nodded with a smile and lifted Jacob in her arms while kissing his nose "Oh yeah, ill be here all day!"

Randy groaned and rubbed his temples, hearing his girlfriends voice go on and on "Kim you can do what you want ok? I just thought you might want to come on the road with me a couple days."

Kim stood and crossed her arms over her chest "Yes but why would you ask the week Im going to be with my parents for their anniversary?"

Randy just sighed and lifted himself off the couch walking into the kitchen and grabbing a water out of the fridge "Listen I forgot, thats all."

Kim let her arms fall to her side with a loud slap against her hips "You always forget Randy!" she paused and followed him around the center isle of the kitchen "Why is it you can't remember anything thats important to me?"

Randy took a sip of his water bottle on look strait at her "Im sorry, what do you want me to do?"

Kim sighed and walked closer to him "I don't know, being a little more considerate is an option, I mean its like your just going through the motions in our relationship." she commented

The last thing Randy wanted to do was get her upset or get her to cry, he felt bad because it was true, he didn't feel himself 100% committed to the relationship, some days he didn't find himself thinking of Kim or where their relationship would go but he couldn't tell her that, he couldn't make her feel worse. He just set his water bottle down on the center isle and brought her into his arms for a hug and kissed her shoulder "Im sorry, your right." he whispered and sighed slightly pulling her away to look into her eyes "Im just not feeling myself right now."

Kim rubbed his shoulder and stared back into his eyes "Want to talk about it?"

"No!" Randy exclaimed a little louder than normal, knowing full well why he didn't want to talk about it, he cleared his throat and changed his voice to a lower tone "No, not right now." he explained and walked back into the living room.

"So Dwayne is coming by later today?" Nikkis voice questioned over the phone.

Kayla took a sip of her water and nodded her head "Yeah, he so sweet to check in every once in awhile."

"Hey!" Nikki exclaimed "I also come over if you haven't noticed."

Kayla laughed and shook her head "No Nik, of course I have, its just nice to have a man stop by from time to time." she explained

Nikki rose a brow and an alarm started signaling in her head "Mhmmm… And just how nice are these visits that Dwayne gives you?"

Now it was Kayla turn to raise a brow "Nikki what are you getting at with that question?"

"I mean," Nikki began "Dwayne has always had feelings for you and even thought you are still head over heels for Randy, it feels nice to have someone want you, and with Randy being in a relationship now, I don't know, Im beginning to think your trying to fix your broken heart or something?"

Kayla knew where Nikki was getting at but she couldn't be further from the truth, Kayla rolled her eyes and sighed "Ugh Nikki, you know he's just a very close friend to me."

"Yes but he also is very handsome.."

"Yes But…" Nikki cut her off

"And he does have feelings for you…"

"He DID, but…" She cut Kayla off once again

"And he comes over to show that he cares about you and the baby." Nikki finished

"You done?" Kayla questioned in an annoyed tone.

Nikki sighed "Im just looking out for you hung, I know if this were to turn into someone, thats not what you really want, your so in love with Randy that the truth is blinding you. What you should do Is tell Randy everything, about Jacob, about your feeling and fuck his new girlfriend, she new here, she has no say."

Kayla just shook her head, she felt a migraine coming on "Nikki please!" you know I'm not going to tell Randy! Its not right! He's happy now!"

"How do you know he's happy?!" She exclaimed "Why? Just because he gave her the girlfriend title and because they have been together for 6 months now?"

'6 months' she thought 'Oh my god, they have been together for 6 months already, he hasn't even spoken to me since Jacobs birth' she thought again. She felt her heart swell and felt herself feeling saddened by the thought he may truly be happy and she may never ever get a chance to be near him again. She let a tear slip down her face and cleared her throat "Listen Nikki, I have to go, Jacob is crying." she whispered as she told her best friend the whit lie. Jacob was still very much asleep in his crib.

Randy inhaled deeply the smoke into his lung and seconds later exhaled the smoke out into the air of the night. He leaned against his bedroom balcony and felt a small breeze take over him. He was still not able to quit smoking nor was he able to get Kayla off his mind. So many times he had the phone in his hand to call her or even text her and his pride got the best of him. What bothered him most was that she was happy with a son with Dwayne! And here he was still thinking of her, the days would go by and he would still continue to think of her, because he loved her and he was too damn stupid to see it sooner. He lost her because of it and he couldn't forgive himself for it. He looked down and saw the cigarette was nearing its end and he thought of taking out a second one to smoke on.

His mind started wandering back to a night he had with Kayla, a night he would never forget because it was the first time she actually stood up to him, a night she stood up for herself. He smiled and laughed softly as the memory replayed in his head.

June 2010

Kayla was at a club with Nikki and Brie, her and John were nothing of an item yet and John was still married to his ex-wife, so Nikki and Brie were on the hunt for the cutest guys at the club that night, little did they know Kayla had already spotted hers. She spotted him from across the room talking to Cody Rhodes and laughing about something unknown. Kayla bit her lower lip as her eyes scanned over him, he looked so sexy that night, as he did every night and she couldn't wait to get his phone call to spend the night with him.

Her and Randy had been in a friends with benefits relationship for a little over 8 months now and Nikki knew very well about their arrangement however Brie had no idea, nobody did. Nikki smirked as she watched her best friend blush as she watched him, she saw Randy wink over to her and Kayla automatically turn a deeper shade of pink on her cheeks. Nikki smirked and leaned over whispering in her ear "Thats the man who's going to rock your world tonight."

Kayla slapped Nikki on the arm playfully and smirked "Would you stop!"

In those few seconds that Kayla turned her head to reply to Nikki's comment Brie screamed something totally unexpected over the music "Looks like Randy found his plaything for tonight!"

Both Nikki and Kayla shot their heads over to the third generations superstar who was flirting very closely with a taller brunette haired girl. Nikki looked at the horror on Kayla face and whispered "Kayla relax, maybe he's just flirting, he may turn her down."

Kayla cleared her throat and tried not to look at them as she nodded her head "Yeah , your right I mean, he made it perfectly clear that we weren't exclusive and that it was just sex, right?"

Nikki gave her friend a sympathetic look but agree "Right." Nikki had a feeling at this time that Kayla was beginning to fall for Randy Orton.

A few minutes later, after a small conversation between the three girls, Kayla decided to look back over to where Randy was and saw the girl pushing Randy against the bar and kissing him. She was officially pissed, he wants to play this game? He was to have her all set up for him every night and then go to the first girl he sees when he feels like it and blows her off? No No, Kayla was no going to take that.

Nikki noticed her reaction and knew Kayla was going to confront him, Nikki grabbed her sisters hand and asked her if she wanted to get a drink so her attention wouldn't be focused on what Kayla was about to do. Kayla ran a hand through he dark brown curls and made her way through the crowd in her red six inch pumps. As soon as she reached the kissing couple she grabbed the girls arm and threw her off "Get lost kitten this ride isn't for you." she crossed her arms in front of her chest, standing in front of Randy.

Randy took a hold of her shoulder and screamed over the music "Kayla what the fuck are you doing?!"

Kayla spun on her heels and gave him a death glare "You shut up!" she turned back around to face the girl who had a confused look on her face.

"Who the hell are you?" The brunette questioned

Kayla got closer and spoke over the music "Im the girl who's giving you a five second head start." she smirked "Run along tramp!"

The brunette gasped and shook her head "Fuck you, I don't have to take this shit." She said and stormed away from both Randy and Kayla.

Watching the whole scene Randy was indeed pissed, he grabbed Kayla arm and spun her to face him "What the hell is wrong with you? What was that Kayla?!"

"Let me tell you something Randy," Kayla began "If you think you are going to play games and fuck whoever you want your wrong!" she exclaimed "If you want me its only me, I'm not playing this shit of having whichever girl you want, whenever, from this moment on we are EXCLUSIVE friends with benefits, you understand me?!" she exclaimed again over the music.

Randy smirked and just watched her petite figured scream at him, to be honest he thought she was sexier than ever right now, standing up to him and speaking her mind, he went along with it, he leaned down and brushed his lips against her ear "I hear you loud and clear angel." he smirked and pulled her body flush against his "So why don't you show me your mine only?" he whispered again and looked down to see a smirk play on her lips and she grabbed his hand and started to lead him out of the crowd.

Randy flicked his cigarette onto the street and laughed softly at the memory, he found himself thinking about the amazing night they had that night and how much he wishes he could have her wrapped up in his arms again. He soft skin pressed against his and her lips screaming his name. He shook his head out of his trance and groaned running a hand over his face. "Ill never let myself forget you Kayla." he whispered and walked back into the bedroom, where Kim laid on the bed peacefully asleep.

11:00pm that night

Kayla looked over at the clock on her phone and laughs at Dwayne's comment, she suddenly notices how late it is "Oh Dwayne, its 11 already, you should go get some sleep you have an early flight to cats for raw tomorrow, right?"

Dwayne looked at his watch and sighed "Eh not too late, its a 10:00 flight but I do have to get up at 5 for a workout session."

Kayla nodded softly "Yeah you should go, I need you to focus on that workout."

Dwayne smirked"Damn strait you know I gotta keep myself lookin good."

This earned a laugh from Kayla as both Dwayne and her stood up from the couch at the same time "Ill walk you out." She smiled pulling a few strands of hair away from her face.

Dwayne shook his head "No No, there`s no need, You stay here, I know my way out." he smiled and leaned down to give her a kiss on the cheek. Kayla didn't know what had overcame her when his lips brushed against her cheek, maybe it was the feeling of a mans skin on her, or just the feeling of being cared for but whatever it was made her do something she never expected herself to be doing. Just as Dwayne was pulling himself away, she grabbed his wrist and pulled herself flush against his body, wrapping her hands around his neck and softly grazing her lips against his.

Dwayne knew it was wrong, he knew she really didn't want to do this but he just couldn't stop himself, his emotions were taking control of his body and his head wasn't thinking strait. He felt her lips graze softly against his and he deepened the kiss, bringing his hands to her waist and rubbing his thumbs softly across her hips. He felt her put more force into the kiss, sliding her tongue into his mouth to wrestle with his and he couldn't take it, he ran his hand down her hips to her butt and lifted her strait up from the ground, feeling her legs wrap around his waist.

He walked with her wrapped around his waist, leading her towards the stairs but before walking up he pressed her back up against the wall and lifted her arms above her head, deepening the kiss even further, neither one of them coming up for air. His chest pressed against hers and her back pressed harder against the wall, she softly wiggled her hand out of his grip and ran them up and down his chest, just as she was about to grab the hem of his shirt, she felt him pull away and grab her hand to stop it from lifting his shirt "Kayla, Wait…" he whispered out of breath.

Dwayne finally got up the courage and snapped out of his emotional trance he was in when she first kissed him. He knew this wasn't what she wanted, he knew Kayla didn't have feelings for him. He looked up at her and saw the look of confusion of her face "What?" She whispered equally out of breath.

He let go of her hips and she let her feet fall back on the floor as she watched him run a hand over his face with a soft groan "Kayla what was that?" he questioned "What are you doing?"

Kayla bit her lower lip "What you weren't feeling what I was?"

Dwayne sighed and shook his head "Oh no Kayla you know very well how I feel about you and that I would take you upstairs in a heartbeat."

"So?" She questioned walking closer to him "Then whats the problem?"

"The problem is your not doing this because you want to, or because you feel passion between us," he began "No your doing this because you miss having that feeling of passion and you know that you may never have it with Randy so you wanted to try it with me."

Kayla just looked down at the floor and sat down on the stairs that lead to upstairs "Uhm…" she sighed but couldn't get out any words, all she could think of what a huge mistake she just made.

Dwayne walked over and squatted down beside her "Kayla look at me…" and when she didn't he smiled softly "Its ok, I get you feel alone and you wanted to feel something again but I just couldn't do that knowing your still head over heels for Randy."

Kayla nodded "I know." she groaned and shook her head, she was an idiot. "God Im such an idiot! Im sorry Dwayne!"

Dwayne laughed softly and removed her hands from her face "Hey would you stop, your not an idiot! Its fine, don't worry about it."

"No I mean your right, I feel like I was just trying to get something back that I had and I didn't mean to use you." She laughed softly with a shake of the head, disappointed in herself.

Dwayne smirked "Hey baby, you can use me all you want, its not like I didn't enjoy it."

She laughed and slapped him in the shoulder playfully.

"I mean hell, If we are both aware of the circumstances and that this is nothing more than fun, ill take you up there right now." He winked at her.

Kayla gasped with a playful smile on her face "Stop!"

He laughed along with her and soon they both got up from their seated and squatted positions and Kayla followed him to the front door, after a few seconds she spoke up "Thank you for stopping it."

Dwayne smiled and nodded his head "Yeah there's got to be a place in heaven for me for, turning you down like that." he laughed

She matched his laugh as they reached the front door "No Seriously, Thank you…" she paused for a moment "I mean I think if you hadn't have stopped it I would have at some point as well."

Dwayne nodded with a smile "I know you would have." He kissed the top of her head and opened the door. "Ill see you soon ok?"

Kayla smiled and nodded as she held open the door watching him walk down the front steps "Bye!" She called out as she watched him walk into his Ford F150 Truck. Once he was gone from her sight, she closed the door behind her and banged her head against the front door with a groan "I swear I'm my own worst enemy." she whispered to herself.

She then proceeded to walk into the kitchen and grab her phone off the charger "I have to call Nikki." she spoke to herself again and for the last time that night, before she dialed her best friends number and waited for her to pick up to gossip about the nights events.

Chapter 22 is up! So many things have happened! What can possibly happen next!? And I Know some of you guys are dying for Kayla to finally tell Randy that the baby is his. Don`t worry, light will be shed on to this story soon enough, I just have a few more chapters in me that thickens the plot, so bare with me, please! :) Im glad everyone is liking it so far and Im enjoying writing it, just please keep leaving comments and reviews and I will keep updating!
