*Takes place after Talbot's Camera but before the House of McHenry*
After a few days of some adjustment, Logan and Melody have come to terms of being brother and sister. They were already treating each other as if they were siblings, but after Melody found out the truth their bond seemed to have grown stronger. They started to text and call each other more, leading them to hang out more frequently. Like this evening, the raven-haired teens were relaxing on the couch of Logan's apartment watching some t.v. in comfortable silence. Melody let out a content sigh.
"This is nice," she commented.
"Yeah it is," Logan replied, turning to his sister. "Hey, do you want water or anything?"
"Water, please." she asked. Logan nodded and got up to get her a bottle of water. Logan tossed it to Melody. Melody caught it and broke the seal.
"Thank you," Melody thanked, sipping her water. Logan nodded and sat back in his seat sipping his soda that he took out minutes before. After a few minutes of flicking through the channels, Logan decided to put on the movie station before he went up to get another soda. Melody started to feel off, a bit flushed and tipsy.
"Heyyy Logan, can I have another water please?" She asked, her words a bit slurred. Logan gave her a funny look but simply shrugged thinking she was messing with him.
"Uh, sure", he told her grabbing another water and tossing it to Melody. He sad back down and opened his soda bottle to take a sip. He kept his eyes on Melody not sure if he should be concerned with her behavior or not. She was acting like a drunk teenager.
But that's impossible, he thought to himself, she's just been drinking water. And you can't get drunk off of water.
Melody broke open the seal and chugged half the bottle. She wasn't sure why she felt like this, but she wanted more.
"Soo goood." she slurred, putting the bottle down. Logan only got more and more confused as the night continued. In only two hours, Melody had drunk 4 bottles of water and she started to behave like a total drunk.
"Okay something is definitely up here" Logan thought as he watched Melody drink her now fifth bottle of water. Melody hiccupped, then let out a small giggle.
"We should do this more often!" she commented, wrapping her arms around Logan in a loose hug. "I wanna spend as much time as I can with my little brother." Logan simply patted Melody's head not sure of what else to do.
"Yeah me too Mel…", he stated a bit awkwardly, never seeing Melody like this. On any other day, if she had gotten drunk Logan would be videotaping the whole thing on his phone but laughing his ass off. But they weren't even drinking any alcohol, just some sodas and water. Before he could think any more on the subject, Melody giggled and snuggled into him more.
"My little brother." she mumbled. Logan smiled a bit and patted her head again before reaching for his phone. He was really confused of what was going on and he needed information. So, despite himself, Logan decided to call Sebastian. Although they weren't on the best terms after Melody had found out they were all related, Logan knew that Sebastian had to know something. Typed in the number for Lord George's landline, because Sebastian doesn't have a phone and finds them pointless and waited for him to pick up.
Logan's P.O.V.
"Lord Alfred George's residence" I heard Sebastian reply.
"Hey Sebastian . . it's Logan." I answered awkwardly.
"Logan?" Sebastian repeated in a surprised tone. "Is everything alright?"
"Uh, I don't know." I replied. "Listen, Melody drank some water at my place and now she's acting like a complete drunk . ."
"Wait, is the label Angel Falls?" Sebastian interrupted quickly.
"Yeahh . .why?"
"Angel Falls is one of the few substances that gets demons, angels, and reapers drunk. How much did she drink?" Sebastian asked, almost concerned.
"Five . . no wait, Melody just grabbed herself another, so six." I replied, seeing Melody drink another. I could hear Sebastian sigh and I can almost hear him "facepalming"
"Alright...Just...Keep her away from the water and have her resting up in her room", he told me.
"Okay", I said with a nod, "okay I will. Thanks". I hung up before he could reply, and I quickly went over to Melody and took the bottle out of her hand.
"Heyy! Give 'em back!" she slurred, trying to grab it out of my hand. I lifted my arm so that it was out of her reach.
"No you had enough Melody", I told her. "Now I want you to lay down in my room and do not up get up for another bottle. You are officially cut of".
God, I sound like a total dad right now.
"You're not the boss of me!" Melody argued, frowning. "I'm like a hundred years older than you so you gotta listen to me."
"Nooope, you are too drunk to give me orders. You're going to have a massive hangover if you continue to drink more and I'd rather you be somewhat hungover than extremely hungover". I admitted. Melody was not happy about that then gently slapped my shoulder.
"You're mean." she slurred.
"No", I told her as I suddenly picked her up, "I'm just being a good brother". With that I carried her over my shoulder to my room.
"Put me down, Logan." she complained. I ignored her complaints and laid Melody in my bed then closed the door. I laid down with her and decided to keep talking to her since it appeared that she was getting drowsy and would fall asleep soon.
"You're so mean . . .Man-handling me." she complained. "Ciel would never do that. He's a gentleman."
"Yeah, yeah I know. To be honest I don't think he can pick you up" I said with a slight laugh. Just imagining Ciel attempting to pick up Melody is hilarious in itself.
"He can so!" Melody defended, pouting. "He's carried me for a realllly long way through the woods. Course, we were being chased by a panzer." I went a little wide-eyed hearing this.
"Wait really, why?" I asked genuinely curious.
"It was a case . . abouta a witch and mustard gas." Melody explained. "She wasn't really a witch, but she thought she was. I miss her, she was a nice kid." I nodded processing the information.
"Okay, what was this girl like?"
"She was really smart and kinda looked like me." she explained then giggled. "She tried to seduce Ciel once, it was really funny." I laughed a bit too.
Aw man poor Ciel. He must have been so embarrassed! Ha! Now I'm tempted to use my key just to see his reaction.
"It wasn't his fault, though. He can't speak a word of German and she couldn't speak English." Melody defended. I nodded to her.
"Ah I get you". We continued talking for another hour or so, up until Melody yawned and rubbed her eyes tiredly. "Okay I think it's time for bed."
"But im not sleepy!" she complained then let out another yawn.
"Yes, yes you are", I told her pulling the covers over Melody's body.
"Nooo . ." she mumbled then closed her eyes and soon fell asleep. I let out a sigh and figured it was time to call Ciel to come get her. Ciel doesn't really understand modern cell phones either but he knew how to work a landline at least.
"Hello?" he answered.
"Hey Ciel, it's Logan. Can you come pick Melody up?" I asked.
"Uh yeah sure, is she okay?" he asked, hearing his worry increase.
"Oh yeah, she's fine just tired." I lied. He can deal with her drunkenness when he gets here.
"Okay, I'm on my way." he replied then hung up. Well that takes care of that. I decided to stay with Melody until Ciel came to pick her up. After a couple of minutes I heard a knock on the door. I stood up and answered the door.
"Hey Logan." Ciel greeted.
"Hey Ciel, come on in." I replied, letting him in. "Melody's in my room." Ciel simply nodded and we both headed into my room to get Melody. Ciel gently went over to Melody and shook her shoulder.
"Melody...Melody, it's me Ciel. It's time to get up"
"Hm, Ciel?" Melody slurred, sitting up. Ciel gave her a sweet smile and petted her head.
"Hey, I came to take you home love". Melody smiled a bit and shakily stood up.
"Mkay," she mumbled. Ciel helped her stand then I saw him make a realization. Oh Shit .
"Logan, did you get Melody drunk?" he asked, glaring at me a bit.
"Uh . .hehe . not . .intentionally." I admitted, "She drank some Angel Falls, I didn't know it was booze for demons until after she drank five bottles of the stuff." Ciel stayed quiet and then sighed and face palmed.
"You know what, I don't even care, "he said in an annoyed tone, "at least Melody is okay and she didn't overdo it". Melody leaned on Ciel for support, both from drunkenness and from sleep. I simply nodded.
"Alright, make sure she gets some rest especially when she's hungover".
"I'm not gonna be hungover." Melody muttered. "You're crazyyy." Ciel let out a sigh then took Melody home.
