Chapter 26

Randy cursed himself in his mind before turning around to face his pissed off girlfriend, he was sure she was furring at this point depending on how much of the conversation she heard. This night was not going well for him, not only was he planning on breaking up with Kim in a more gentle manner but he wasn't expecting her to walk in and hear the one conversation he didn't want her to hear. He slid his phone back in his pocket of his track pants and turned around and as if he already knew a pissed off Kim was standing in front of him, her arms crossed over her chest waiting for an explanation.

"I thought you went to bed." He questioned calmly as he passed through her and back inside the house.

Kim opened her mouth in shock that that was his first words to her, she followed him into the kitchen of his house but not before closing the sliding doors behind her "Are you kidding me?!" she shouted "Thats what you say to me after I find you on the phone with another woman?!"

Randy sighed and leaned against the center aisle in the kitchen "First of all that was no other woman…" he phased "That was Kayla."

Kim raised a brow "Your friend Kayla?"

Randy nodded his head "Yeah you want to check my phone?" he stated with a hint of venom behind his words.

Kim walked over to the other side of the center aisle and bit her lower lip "Well for her just being a friend that seemed like a pretty odd conversation."

Randy sighed and ran and hand over his head "Yeah…" he lifted from resting his elbows on the center aisle "Kim we have to talk and I wanted to do this tomorrow but the situation presented itself today."

Kim automatically felt her stomach drop and a pang in her heart "What is it Randy?"

He took a few seconds unsure of how to begin to explain everything to her, he looked up into her eyes and saw worry "I have a long story to tell you so lets sit…" he motioned for her to sit with him at the long dinning room table.

She sat on one end of the table while Randy sat right next to her in a corner chair, he sighed and began "A couple years ago Kayla was more than a friend to me, We had a kind of relationship worked out that only we and John and Nikki knew about."

Kim listened intently and nodded her head allowing him to continue, so that he did "It was mainly friends with benefits, and then sometime last year Kayla had enough of it, I wasn't giving her what she wanted and she ended things."

Kim had no idea where this was going "Okkk." but she continue to listen in confusion.

He got right to the point "A little over a week ago I found out that she got pregnant with my son and neglected to tell me about it."

Kim gasped in shock "What?!" she stood from where she sat "Randy are you fucking with me?! You have a son with this bitch?!"

Randy glared at her "Wooow! Kim don't you dare start throwing around names, you don't even know her!"

"I don't need to know her Randy, she kept that you had a son for over a year!" She shouted.

Randy sighed now frustrated "Kim you don't know the situation and you don't know her reasons, there have been days where I have given her the benefit of that doubt because I was an asshole to her." he confessed

Kim just crossed her arms and shook her head furiously "So what now?"

Randy shrugged "Now onto my next confession…" he sighed and looked over at a still furious Kim "Im still in love with her Kim, I always have been…"

Kim lowed her arms from her chest and her face fell from anger to sadness "What…"

"Im sorry Kim…" he paused waiting for her to reply but when she just stood there he continued "Thats not all, I feel that we need to break up."

He face shot up and her eyes met his, she gala red into his eyes "You want to break up? to be with that bitch?"

Randy clenched his jaw, he was starting to get really pissed off at her naming calling "Kim I told you to stop fucking throwing names around and no Im breaking up with you because I don't see any future in us, period!" he stated firmly. She just stared at him with anger and he stared right back at her, they both stood there for a few moments, just watching each other waiting for the next move, for the next word spoken.

The Next Morning: 7:30am

Kayla poured new batter into the frying pan right after flipping a cooked pancake onto a plate. She smiled and shifted from her left leg onto her right, She had woken up around 6:30 that morning, an hour and a half later than she was supposed to and ended up working out for about an hour before needing to get started on breakfast for both her and Jacob before he woke up. Today she decided on regular pancakes with fresh strawberries and bananas on top.

After last nights conversation with Randy she was feeling a little bit better but not entirely how she was supposed to feel, she knew Randy still had some hidden anger and resentment and she also knew that would take time to heal but for now she would keep expressing how sorry she was and how much she still cared about him. She flipped that pancake onto the plate as well and repeated the process of pouring new batter onto the frying pan, as she did so she heard the doorbell and smiled to herself knowing exactly who it was. "Come in guys! Im in the kitchen!" She shouted.

A few seconds later, after hearing the front door slam close, the beautiful Bella twins appeared in the kitchen. "Hey Kay!" they both greeted with smiles and happy tones.

Kayla turned and saw the two brunettes taking a seat on her kitchen table wearing semi matching outfits both wearing deconstructed denim skinny jeans but with different style and color tops. "You guys look gorgeous as always."

Both Brie and Nikki smiled at the compliment "Thanks hun." Brie thanked.

"Did you just finish a workout?" Nikki questioned noticing she was dressed in workout attire.

Kayla nodded and sighed as if tired "Yeah, I actually woke up late and haven't been able to take a shower yet."

"So thats that smell…" Nikki smirked joking with her best friend.

Kayla had her back turned and flipped another pancake but not before flipping Nikki the bird.

Brie just shook her head and laughed at the two as Kayla turned around and set two plates out for the twins on the table "You guys want coffee?"

"You got wine?" Nikki asked with a mischievous smile

"Its 7:45 in the morning!" Kayla shouted playfully.

Brie just rolled her eyes at her twin and proceeded to answer Kayla "Ill have coffee and so will Nikki!"

Kayla just laughed softly and shook her head, now moving on to a different subject "Jacob should be waking up any minute, what time is your flight?" Nikki and Brie had a layover on the way to their photo-shoot in California and decided on spending the morning with Kayla and Jacob since the layover was very close to Jacksonville.

Nikki shrugged "Uhm we got a little over an hour before we have to leave."

Kayla nodded her head and served herself a plate sitting on the table with Nikki and brie "Ok good so we have time to talk."

Brie raised a brow taking a bite of her pancake "You got some gossip."

"Oh I live for gossip." Nikki commented

Kayla laughed "Yes we know Nik." she shook her head and continued "I spoke with Randy last night-"

And just as she was about to continue they heard a small babes boys voice coming from upstairs "Mama!", "Mama!" Jacob called out to her.

Kayla smiled and lifted herself off the chair "Hold that thought guys!" she stated and jogged her way up the stairs and into Jacobs bedroom, she laughed seeing the one year old holding onto the bars and lifting himself up on his tip pie toes giggling. "Oh I heard a beautiful little boy calling me." Kayla spoke to her son.

He smiled brightly and lifted his arms for Kayla to pick him up and that she did, she picked him up out of the crib and walked over to the changing table to give him a quick diaper change and once that was done and over with, she held him on the side of her hip and walked downstairs with him. "Look who's here!" Kayla said pointing to Nikki and Brie and immediately Jacob giggled and buried his face into his moms shoulder with shyness.

"Oh come on Jacob you know Aunt Nikki and Aunt Brie." Kayla ruffled the top of his head.

Jacob nodded his head with another giggle and reached his arms over to Nikki. Nikki gasped sweetly and smiled "Aww he wants me?"

Kayla just nodded as she handed Jacob over to his Aunt Nikki and proceeded to walk back to the kitchen to grab three cups of coffee for her, Nikki, and Brie, as well as cut up one pancake and a couple strawberry and banana pieces for Jacob. She cut them up nice and small making sure they were small enough for him to chew with only his eight teeth and after she was done with that task she walked back over to the kitchen table where Nikki was seen kissing Jacobs cheek and making him laugh.

"That mother instinct is a waste, knowing John doesn't want kids." Brie commented and took a sip of the coffee Kayla placed in front of her at that moment.

Nikki sighed and placed Jacob on her lap and he began smacking the tables with his hands "Brie that was rude.."

Kayla took a sip of her coffee and watched Nikki glare at her sister, it was true that John didn't want marriage and kids and Kayla was definitely not one to judge but Nikki wanted kids so bad and she had it in her, she saw it when Nikki was around Jacob and she could also see Bries point of view, where she was coming from but she just stood quiet.

"Im just saying John is depriving you of being something I know you would be great at!" Brie shrugged towards her sister.

Nikki just shook her head and handed Jacob over to Kayla so she could begin feeding him his pancakes, when the transfer was made Kayla began by giving him a small piece of pancake and Nikki replied to her sister "Yes I do want kids but I love John to death and I can't imagine being without him and if his wishes are to not have kids then Im going to respect that."

Brie just sighed and looked over at Kayla who shrugged her shoulders and Brie shook her head letting go of the topic all together. Brie was upset that her sister wouldn't express to John just how much she wanted kids and she felt that if John wasn't ring to give her what she wanted she should find someone who would.

Kayla understood Bries point of view however he also understood Nikki's point of view, she loved John and John always expressed how much he loved her and despite the fact of him not wanting to get married or have kids, if they were happy then let them be blissfully happy, if Nicole was willing to give up marriage and kids for him it just showed how much she was willing to do for the man she loved. Kayla felt like she was siding more with Nikki than Brie on this but she always decided to stay quiet this was between Nikki and John and Brie shouldn't even be butting in, but they are twin sisters and Kayla was sure Brie was just looking out for Nikki.

A Week Later: Monday Night Raw: October 29th

The time has come, a week has passed and Monday Night Raw was here, the team was in Charlotte NC and it was about one hour before the show would begin. Kayla had just arrived at the arena, and her flight wasn't too bad, it was only about a one hour flight but between having to go through the gates an taking a taxi to the arena with a very tired Jacob was exhausting. She felt bad for her little man, he got to sleep at least the hour of the flight but once they landed he had to wake up so they could rush out of the airport and into a cab but most of the time Kayla just tired to carry him as much as she could in her arms, just like she was right at that moment.

She made her way backstage with her luggage being pulled behind her with her left hand and a sleeping Jacob being carried in her right arm. Exhausted from the past two hours all she wanted to do was find Nikki, get settled into the locker room and lay Jacob down for him to rest properly, not that he would rest too well in the locker room for that matter. Just as she was about to pull out her phone to call Nikki and ask where the locker room was she heard a familiar voice behind her. "Kayla?"

She looked back and saw Stephanie walking towards her, she smiled sand turned around slightly to face her boss but not before adjusting Jacob on her shoulder. "Hey Steph!" She greeted happily and reciprocated the hug Stephanie was giving her.

Steph smiled brightly looking at the smiling boy in her arms "So hows motherhood?"

Kayla laughed softly glanced over at her baby boy "Its great, Exhausting but great!"

Steph nodded with another laugh "Oh I've been there hunnie." she stated and then changed the subject noticing Kayla was on a mission "Are you looking for the girls locker room?"

Kayla nodded her head "Well yeah, Im actually looking for Nikki, she's going to watch Jacob for me since she's not on the show tonight, she just came to support John."

Steph nodded in understanding and began leading her over to Johns locker room "Well John actually has his own locker room this week and Im sure you can find Nikki there with him."

Kayla followed Steph until they hit a steel covered door with John`s name written across the top. Kayla smiled and thanked Stephanie, who walked away a couple seconds after. Kayla shifted Jacob once again on her shoulder and knocked on Johns locker room door, it took a few seconds, she heard voices and shuffling around before the knob on the door turned and a smiling John answered it "Kayla! Hey girl!" he said reaching over giving her a bear hug.

"Hey! Keep the voice down…" she whispered with a soft laugh "Jacob is knocked out." she said pointing with her eyes to the one year old sleeping on her shoulder.

When she walked in she already saw Nikki was sitting on the couch, Nikki smiled and gushed over the cute sleeping toddler. Kayla gently laid him down on the couch and grabbed his blanket from her diaper bag laying it over him. She sighed contently and looked over at Nikki with a laugh "Hey girl!" she greeted and hugged her right away.

Nikki laughed and brushed Jacobs hair away from his face as he slept "Long flight?" she questioned.

Kayla sighed and sat down on the couch near her son "You have no idea!" she let her head fall back against it.

John smirked and decided to change the subject "You know Randy has been waiting for you…"

Kayla opened her eyes slowly and bit her lower lip "Oh Yeah? Where is he?"

Nikki lowered her head with a smirk, knowing John was going to throw Randy under the bus. Nikki knew John was going to tell her exactly where he was so she could catch him red handed. John looked over at Nikki and smirked, then back over at Kayla "Oh he went outside for some fresh air."

"Yeah hes towards the back of the arena." Nikki added with a sly smile.

Kayla raised a brow at the couple oddly "Okkkk, Did I miss something?"

John shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly "No Nothing at all."

Kayla nodded her head still confused, she lifted herself off the couch and looked over at Nikki "Im going to go keep him company out there, watch Jacob for me?"

Nikki smiled and looked down at the little boy "Absolutely."

Just after she said that, Kayla was out the locker room in a matter of seconds and Nikki shook her head at her boyfriend "Your horrible."

John gave a soft chuckle and went to sit down near Nikki and Jacob "Oh please! You were right there with me."

Kayla walked a few minutes around the arena before finally hitting her destination, she saw the door towards the back, leading outside marked exit and pushed it open. When the cold air from outside hit her the smell of cigarette also hit her immediately and she moved her hand in front of her face trying to wave it off, and when she turned her head to see who the culprit was smoking she was shocked, she shook her head and walked closer to him, her arms crossed over her chest.

"Please tell me that's not Randy I see smoking." She stated calmly with an upset tone in voice "Please tell me Im seeing things."

Randy's head suddenly snapped towards the left and saw Kayla standing there, he looked her up and down, he said nothing for a minute, all he wanted to do was take her in, she looked gorgeous, as she always did, wearing dark blue skinny jeans tight on her curves and a black low cut v-neck sweater that hugged her curves just as tight as the pants. Just as his eyes were about to make their way up to hers, he noticed she was much closer to him than before, he stared into her eyes and a small smirk grew on his lips "You caught me."

Kayla watched as he took one last drag of the cigarette and threw it to the ground putting it out, she shook her head "I can't believe your smoking again Randy! What in the hell made you start back up again?!" She questioned in a loud tone of voice.

He stepped closer to her, close enough for her to smell his Armani cologne mixed with the stench of cigarette, her breathe caught in her throat and even with the smell of tobacco, she still felt he knees get weak with him being so dangerously close. He pushed a few strands of hair away from her face and whispered "Damn you still take my breath away angel."

Kayla looked into his piercing blue eyes and felt herself want to smile at the nickname, only a few times did he ever use that nickname on her and she guessed today was one of those days. But she didn't let the sweet talking fool her this time, she was extremely upset that he started smoking again, she smiled innocently and tilted her head to the side "Aw its so cute that you think that sweet talk is going to save you from this."

Randy smirked, his frame still towering over hers "Cant blame a guy for trying."

She shook her head and moved away from him "Honestly Randy, Don't you remember all the shit I went through to get you to quit the last time."

Randy nodded his head and acted a little more serious this time "I get it Kayla, I turned to it because of stress, I had no other way of dealing."

Kayla sighed and looked over at him feeling a bit guilty, she assumed he was stressed now because of the situation that has come up with her and Jacob and how big it all is. She nodded her head and looked down at the ground "I get it but that's a horrible habit and its one I don't want you to have."

Randy smiled at her caring and walked closer to her again, he leaned against the wall she was next to and reached out, placing one finger under her chin, gently lifting it to meet his gaze "Well then you`ll help me quit won't you?"

She looked into his eyes and removed his finger from under her chin, stroking her fingers in between his "I was there the last time wasn't I?"

He just smiled, nodded his head and took her hand in his "Come on lets get back inside, to get the show over with so we can have our discussion." he stated as he opened the back door and walked back inside with her, hand in hand.

Randy is slowly but surely getting more civil towards Kayla and in this chapter she catches him smoking again, no thanks to John and Nikki but now in the upcoming chapter they will have their much needed talk to get everything out that they didn't before.
