Now let's see what Morgan's been up to while the warriors were in the bunker. Morgan's pov.

William, are you there?

Yeah, I'm here. What's up?

Just checking in, love. Have you found the Lyoko Warriors?

Right in the bunker where I left them.

Bunker? Interesting. Tell me about it.

I'm sending you pictures and coordinates right now. Odd knows this girl Stacey, and her dad has this zombie apocalypse bunker thing. Taelia said she'd get out of our hair if we stayed in it for 48 hours. I got out early because they were frustrating. When I got back I told them about the murders going on. I also gave Jeremie his laptop. He's been on it non-stop. I think he's trying to program something to get rid of you. Stacey went back to work, but it seems like everyone else is staying here, for now. That's all the information I have right now.

Alright. Keep me updated.

I cut communication with William. It was nice to know the nanobots worked. I got the idea from Xana. During one attack, about two years ago, he used nanobots in order to damage neurons and inhibit memory. I used nanobots to restore memory. They were in the syringe I stabbed into William's neck. I got it from the hospital. I checked in with the Sissi clone. Idiots...did they think they could leave a clone alone and I wouldn't take over?

I looked through the eyes of Sissi's clone. She was in an alleyway, crying, or, pretending to cry. She did not have the ability to actually cry. As I watched, I heard a male adult voice.

"Hey, are you ok?"

Sissi suddenly sprung up and pinned him to a brick wall with one hand to the chest.

"Oooo, I can feel it beating. I need to stop that." Sissi said. The look on the man's face was shocked and confused and afraid. Everything was happening so quickly, he didn't have time to react, I could see it on his face. Sissi turned her free hand into smoke and plunged it down the man's throat, blocking off all airflow to the lungs. The man struggled for a while, but with all airflow cut off he couldn't make any noise. Nobody heard him. Nobody came to help him, and he died quietly.

When the clone felt the man's heart stop for good, she let go of him. He slid down the wall and slumped over. She dug into her pocket and took out a brightly colored band-aid. She stuck it on his neck very tenderly.

"There, all better."

Another victim down. I wasn't the one behind the murders, Sissi's clone was...under my direction, of course. I just wanted to cause a little fear, a little paranoia. I wanted the citizens of Paris up at night wondering if they would be next. The funniest part of all of this was that Sissi would keep up her cheerful and helpful demeanor the entire time. The last thing each victim saw was a smiling teenage monster.

I checked in with the half dozen humans working on a special project. They were making good progress. I would probably join them once I got out of finals. Since I came in to school two weeks before finals, Principal Delmas wasn't making me take the finals, but he was making me go to them for attendance purposes. Why? I had no idea, but there I was, sitting in the library where all the other students in my computer science class were taking their finals.

Apparently I was supposed to stay during the summer and make up the classes I was supposed to have taken this semester. It didn't matter to me. I didn't plan on staying in school at all for very much longer. I just liked to use Kadic as a base on Earth...until I got a better one. The Factory, or the Eiffel Tower? I would be able to pick anything, really. I would probably stay close to the Supercomputer, though.

I sat in the library, elbow on the table and fit curled up against my mouth, eyes unfocused. Everyone else scribbled on their papers. The final was to write a complex program on paper, without the ability to check if it worked on a computer. It seemed like a stupid test to me. Wouldn't students be able to demonstrate programming ability better if they were able to run the program, and then if it didn't work, be able to edit the program so that it did?

Morgan.

Yes, William?

Jeremie's trying to recreate the multi agent program.

But...all remnants of it were destroyed. I destroyed the backups, too.

Well, you didn't get rid of his memory, and he has a pretty good one, as it turns out. He's remaking it, and he's working pretty quickly from what I can tell.

Hm...does it work like the old one?

How did the old one work?

It scanned for and eliminated traces of Xana's code on computers.

Give me a minute.

That was how NegaCarthage and I had survived when nothing else had. The multiagent program went through the network to each computer and searched for code, but it did not bother to search the network itself. NegaCarthage and I were unique in that we were not bound to any computer. We just sort of existed on the network. The program did not look in the network and so it did not find us. Xana bound himself to many computers by creating the Replikas.

It's going to scan the network and all the computers on it and eliminate any Xana code.

The network and all the computers on it...are you sure?

Those were his exact words.

...Alright. Thank you.

Are you going to be ok?

Yes. I just have some adjustments to make.

I cut off communication once again. If this multi-agent would destroy anything on the network or on computers, there was only one solution, cut off access...wait a minute.

William.

Can't stop talking to me, huh?

Oh, shut up.

Hehehe...what is it?

How does he plan to power the program? Last time he needed Franz.

I don't think he's thought that far ahead. But you know Belpois...he always finds something.

I cut off communication, for real this time. The best situation here was that Jeremie did not find a way to power the multi-agent. I had to plan for the worst situation, though, not the best. There was no way I was going down the same way my father did.

The bell rang. Finals were over for the day. I got up quickly and walked out of the library. I headed for the manhole in the park.

"Hey Morgan, how do you think you did." I felt a hand on my shoulder. I twitched a little and the hand flinched back. I turned around, it was Emily. Right, she was in the Computer Science class as well.

"I think I aced it, and you?" I asked.

"I had a little trouble with loops, but I think I did ok." Emily said.

"You could have asked me to help you study." I said.

"Really, it seems like you're always busy." Emily laughed a little.

"I am, but I always have time for friends." I said. That made Emily smile. This was all too easy.

"Right, well...next time." Emily said.

"It's a promise." I said. "How about we hang out tonight. Math finals are tomorrow. I could help you study. Right now I have something I have to do."

"Yeah, sounds good. We can meet in the cafeteria at 6 and go to the library afterward?"

"That sounds good. I will see you then." I said, and waved goodbye. It was 3 pm now. That gave me three hours to help out with the special project.

I went to the sewer passage in the park and climbed down the ladder. But, I didn't go towards the Factory, I went away from the Factory, in the direction of the Hermitage sewer entrance. I did not stop there, either. I went further in that direction, until I came to large garage-like door built into the side of the wall. I opened it.

Inside, there was a large room carved out of the dirt. Lights were strung from the ceiling. Half a dozen men walked around, a bit like zombies. I couldn't have that many towers active at once, it would take up resources I didn't want to use yet. All of these fine gentlemen were being run by a single spectre. It wasn't as...articulate a possession as the usual kind. If someone came to get them, they would snap out of it quickly. Nobody would find them though. They were busy at work, though. A mostly finished Supercomputer sat to one side of the room, and a huge, rectangular scanner that took up the entire wall was on the other.

This was my hope. This was my greatest weapon.

A new secret Supercomputer and a singular giant scanner, wonder what that's for?
