Now that "Strength of the Realm Found in Bonds" is finished, I have a big announcement on the future of this story:
Due to a combination of IRL issues, a desire to publish my own original fiction, as well as the simple fact I don't have the knowledge, imagination, and will to work on this story to completion and do it justice, I am not going to continue this story at this time.
But before I take my leave, I will leave all you readers with three things.
1. I shall now finally reveal the locations and fates of Dead Master and Chariot.
Dead Master landed far north of the Wall, where she Bonded with Bloodraven... on the very same day of the Arrival in 281 AC.
She, working with Bloodraven and the wildlings, is the primary reason that the Others and their army of Dolls haven't already marched on the Wall to destroy it and bring about the Second Long Night.
And as a little bonus, it was also working with Bloodraven that she learned about Jon Snow's canon importance - and thus dispatched a still Dead-Eyed Black Rock Shooter to secretly seek out and Bond with Lyanna Stark.
As for Chariot, she was a rogue Mounted Doll that Black Gold Saw put down.
But thanks to what Qyburn and Ram learned about Dolls in Black Gold Saw's service, they would bring her back to life to serve the Lannisters using the a young girl kidnapped from King's Landing.
In time, while serving House Lannister, Chariot would start to remember the life of the girl that had been used to being her back to life (a rare mistake on Qyburn and Ram's part, as she wasn't supposed to remember anything), until, slowly but surely, the Doll's original personality would be subsumed by that of the girl.
A girl named Arya Stark.
2. And now for the truth about Dolls.
The Dolls are the creations of an extinct alien race that were sent to Planetos to terraform it into a suitable home for their creators.
However, complications arose at the last second, and the Dolls' ship was destroyed just as it reached Planetos's orbit, scattering them all over it.
The Dolls survived, but the crash basically set them back to factory settings, their original memories and purpose forgotten.
But a second ship is on its way, one carrying the seeds of their dead creators and return them to life, along with a small group of Dolls determined to bring their sisters back to their original mission.
Their leader is White Rock Shooter, twin of Black Rock Shooter (who was supposed to be the vanguard of the mission to terraform Planetos, annihilating all life upon it in preparation for the second ship's arrival).
3. This story now survives on Spacebattles as a Round Robin.
I may be done with writing this story, that doesn't mean it's finished.
I am SEVERELY deficient in ASOIAF lore, and a fair number of readers there have repeatedly demonstrated far broader knowledge of the source material, so here's a chance for my readers to flex their imaginations.
From this point forward, anyone can add anything they like to this story and have it be canon, so long as it stays true to the lore I've written, the timeline I've established, and anything written before by others that I've established as canon.
Anything I haven't covered (which is, frankly, A LOT), is up for grabs on a first come first serve basis.
However, I must stress that while the premise is crack, the story itself is not, so I will at least retain the authority to reject any blatant crack from being part of the official canon (special mention toThe Complete Book About Dolls Part Oneby FrGlauber for a prime example of what I mean by crack).
With all that said, I thank you all for your reading, and hope you guys have a lot of fun with this story over there on Spacebattles.
