Jeremie's pov, hope you enjoy ^^

There was smoke, but no fire in the Supercomputer. Still, just to be safe, Aelita got some dirt from outside and threw it on to stop the smoke and any tiny flickers of flame that may have been there. In a way, it was a symbolic burial of Lyoko, and of her family. I thought she could feel that too. A tear rolled down her eyes. I tried to comfort her. She felt...nice, in my arms.

Aelita always brought me comfort, and I would try to do the same for her. But, it didn't seem to be working. We stood there for a moment. She tried to keep any more tears from falling. It was getting...a little awkward, actually.

"We should probably get going..." I suggested.

"Just...give me a moment. Alone." Aelita said. She was hurting. She had to say goodbye to this chapter of her life. I couldn't understand, but if she wanted a moment, I'd give her a moment.

"Ok." I called up the elevator and stepped into it, letting the door shut behind me. She could take as long as she needed.

And then my phone rang. I looked inquisitively at my phone. Who would be calling me? I picked up.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Hello, Jeremie. Are you alright. We saw the news." I froze. It was my dad. I completely forgot about my dad, my parents. I already responded, so I couldn't just hang up and pretend I wasn't there. He already knew I was here. And besides, I didn't really want to lie to my dad and make him any more worried than he was already.

"Yeah, dad. I'm fine." I said.

"Where are you?"

"The Administration staff took all the students still on campus to a shelter. I'm there. I'll be fine and hopefully head back home soon." I improvised.

"I'm going to come pick you up myself."

"Oh. Well- One sec."

My phone beeped. There was an incoming call. I looked. It was Ulrich. It was probably just a call to let me know they were on their way back from the pool. I picked up.

"Hel-"

"Yumi and William are dead. William killed Yumi and I killed him. Cops are after me. They're gonna catch me. The EMP gun's gonna be under the bed. See ya, good buddy. Thanks for everything."

And then he hung up. He hung up and left me to process what he just...said. What? ...What? Was he? He...he had to be kidding. Yumi and William dead? That was so surreal. That couldn't be real. William killed Yumi. Ulrich killed William. There was...no way.

"Hello? Jeremie?"

My dad's voice snapped me out of it. No, William wouldn't kill Yumi. And um...that meant...What did that mean? Why would William do that? He couldn't have been possessed. But, my dad, I needed to talk to my dad. I needed to tell him something.

"Hi, dad. Listen, I think they're shutting down the roads around here for a little bit, so you might want to hold off on coming to get me. Anyways, I'll be fine. Ok, bye." I hung up on him. And then I opened the door. Aelita was leaning near the Supercomputer like she used to do on Lyoko when she was using her Creativity. I always thought when she did that it looked a little like praying. I didn't want to interrupt her...but this was important. I walked up to Aelita and gently put a hand on her shoulder.

"There'll be time to mourn later. We have to go." I said. She was about to protest, but I guess something in my voice changed her mind. She got up and came with me, and we left the Supercomputer room for the last time.

While we were in the elevator, I called Odd. He didn't pick up. I called him a few more times, and eventually he did.

"Hey, Einstein, this better be important, I-"

"Head to the shelter, quick. Ulrich is getting arrested and Yumi and William are dead. Ulrich's leaving the EMP gun there." I hung up and looked over at Aelita. Her hands covered her mouth, and her eyes were wide and wet. I clenched my teeth to hold back emotion of my own. What I told Aelita...was true for me too. There would be time to mourn later.

And yet my mind raced with memories...All the times Yumi would sit on my bed and talk and listen to me talk...and she was like...the mom of our group, making sure everyone was safe. Well, as safe as we could be. She was the sort of friend that would make sure you were eating and sleeping...She was the sort of friend...

And William...I didn't have as many memories with William. But, I remembered the endless hours spent trying to free him from Xana's clutches, and the sense of relief when he was finally freed, and...and for what?! A few more weeks of life?

I sighed. I felt...deflated. Aelita wrapped her arms around me, she was warm and...I relaxed. I didn't realize how tense I was. I...I wanted to know the story, the full story. William killed Yumi...and Ulrich killed William. That seemed so out of left field. Morgan was dead, and if it had to do with possession Ulrich would have said something, right? Then how did something this absurd happen?!

"We'll get through this." I told both of us.

We got out into the city. I didn't notice at first, since I was in a hurry. But...as we got further into the city, it became more and more obvious...

The streets were absolutely silent, completely abandoned.

When I realized that I slowed down and stopped. Why...was wasn't anyone around? Doors were left open for a few houses. You could hear the wind whistling through the street. Almost no cars were there, either. It was almost like...

"Everyone fled." Aelita murmured. So, we were on the same page. I nodded. But...why would everyone flee? What could have possibly-

In the distance, and coming closer...I heard the sound of...mechanical twitching. Mechanical...twitching...

My pulse quickened, and my heart caught in my throat. No...no...no, no, no, NO! There was no way! There was absolutely no logical way! We saw it happen! We saw-

There was a loud...static sound. It was the sound of every TV and radio in the world turning on at once, and focusing on a single image, an impossible image, one that I hated, that I never wanted to see again. And she was laughing, mocking me.

Morgan Xanthos was on the screen.

I whipped my head around. She was on every TV in every store...but more troubling than that...Bloks filled the streets, surrounding us. Morgan continued to laugh uproariously. Then she abruptly stopped and seemed to look directly at me. She smirked, and addressed me directly.

"Hello, Belpois. Do you like my Blokade?"
