I may be going a bit back and forth a bit with this.
Morgan's POV
You needed a lot of electricity to run everything I did. If I ran out of electricity, the "robot army" would be absolutely useless. So naturally the first thing I did was commandeer the world's electrical grid. I did this by possessing a couple dozen people to run the power stations for me and guarding them with a few of the Siberia robots. They were my main muscle forces. They were the brute power.
All of my monsters had their own strengths and weaknesses. All of them were using those strengths to the fullest advantage. Swarms of Hornets took the monsters to continents across the sea. The only monsters I never ended up using were the Kongres, Sharks, and the Kollossus.
Being human was...well...interesting. I got the hang of it pretty quickly, even though I didn't want to. The sensory input was manageable, the aches and pains of day to day life was manageable. The eating was surprisingly fun. Taste was a fascinating sense, so was smell. They would create chemical reactions and cause...emotions. I really liked the taste of cookies. Everything had a smell, sometimes it was very subtle, sometimes it was overpowering.
I could still fight, and I could still win. The more and more I continue on in this endeavor: ruling the world, the more I wonder if my father knew what would happen in advance. He was very good at projecting possibilities, but this was almost at the level of prophetic. He had me train. He didn't let me just use my electrical powers. He made me train in hand to hand combat and other normal weapons. The muscle memory remained from that training. He made me do research, constant research on Earth and humanity. When I came here I was prepared. I couldn't help but think that was by design.
In order to make our base, we dug down. Soon I had an underground layer. There was living space for Emily and I. I had to sleep now. I had to eat now. I had to...do other things. It was a pain.
I walked down a road with Emily by my side. The world was coming along nicely. Buildings half blown to bits, dust everywhere...I smiled. This was exactly the sort of thing my father envisioned. Emily was getting used to it. Becoming numb to it. She knew she was trapped. She didn't talk to me much, anymore. She hated me. And why shouldn't she? I was destroying her species and her planet.
"What do you think of it?" I asked.
"It's a disgrace." she answered.
"Do you still hate me?"
"What kind of question is that?! Of course I do?! Look at this place! This was my home! This was all our home and now it's just a hunting ground!" Emily spat. I shrugged.
"As long as you don't turn on me." I said. There was a long pause as we continued to walk. There wasn't anywhere in particular we were going, I just wanted to take a moment from hiding to look upon my work.
"Why don't you just possess me?" Emily asked.
"Because you're my friend." I said. Emily scoffed. We walked for a while more. "All those things I told you are true, you know."
She walked by in silence. I guessed the conversation was over. That was fine. I stuck my hands in my pockets and held the Blackberry in my pocket. That little device controlled everything remotely. I couldn't really afford to lose it. So, I always kept it with me. If it was stolen, I could always make another and override the other phone's signal. So no, that was not the solution to defeating me. I thought of everything. And besides, even if something happened, the damage was done.
I saw a car dealership. We strolled up to it. Here was the thing. There were no laws, now. This was an anarchy. Stealing, murder, your imagination was the limit. I wondered how many humans were contributing to their own destruction. They always did like to destroy each other. Or perhaps humanity would team up against the robot army. Either way, it would be fascinating to watch.
I saw this motorcycle...sleek, and black...and fast. It was exactly the type of thing I wanted to own. And now I did. I got on it.
"Hop on." I said. Kanky was on my head and made some small noises.
"Really?" Emily asked, clearly done with my nonsense. I nodded. "Well, I always did peg you as a biker. You have the aesthetic down." She got on, and we sped off.
I smiled. The wind whipped through my hair, on my skin. It felt great. Kanky gripped onto my head tight, it hurt a little, but he had to do it in order to stay on my head at that speed. That was the great thing about the end of the world. You could do whatever you wanted. There were no speed limits. There were no limits at all. This was the type of environment in which I thrived. I loved it!
"Woo!" Emily yelled. She was a bit of an adrenaline junkie herself. That was one of the things she told me back when we were in Kadic. She had a dream to ride every roller coaster ever and rank them. She liked it here. She did. She said she didn't, but she had power, and she was free from any of society's expectations. She was stuck by my side, anyways, why not enjoy the ride?
I drove us back to about two miles away from the entrance to our fortress.
"Why are we stopping here? Emily asked.
"I have a special assignment for you." I replied.
"Oh no...what?"
"Don't worry, I'm not asking you to kill anyone. I know how you feel about that. I need you to find out where Jeremie, Odd, Ulrich, Yumi, Aelita, and William are. Everyone except William is the enemy. The last time I knew their location they were in a bunker off the red trail in those woods near the city. William was supposed to show up at our base a while ago. I need you to find him and bring him along."
"Uh...alright." Emily said.
"Don't disappoint me. I'll be watching." I said, and walked off. I knew Emily would do a good job. I turned around. "And someone will meet you with further instructions." Emily nodded, held the EMP gun tightly, and walked off.
I went backwards like a week.
Hope y'all have an awesome day.
