Emily's POV. Ok I may have jumped around a bit more than necessary now, but it's all good. It's all about perspective, ya know?

I sat on the Manta, gently flying through the sky...back to the hideout...back to Morgan. God, this was such a mess...I was stuck under the thumb of a god...or perhaps demon was a better word for it? Morgan hadn't just gotten the world to turn against me...if I tried to leave, if I tried to defy her...I would be killed or tortured or something. Actually, she went into a great amount of detail about what she would do. It was bad, real bad. My mind wandered back to the moment after that broadcast went out to the world.

"Well, actually, first..." Morgan trailed off. My eyes were wide, I was in shock. What in the world just happened? Did Morgan just...declare herself and I as enemies of humanity? Did she just declare war? Did...did people see that? How many? Was it on every wavelength like she said? Her mind was so consumed with thoughts swirling about that she barely registered as Morgan stepped into this huge metal box on one side of the room, and doors closed on her.

Now I was even more confused. There was nothing in that room. Maybe...maybe I could sneak away...?

I backed up slowly, then turned to run. I was afraid.

"Where do you think you're going?" Morgan asked. Or, at least it was Morgan's voice...Morgan's silhouette. It was some sort of creature...black and smoky. It had a vaguely human...ghost...form. It was constantly shifting its shape, but maintained the same general silhouette. It had human looking eyes, white and a bright red eyes. It crackled with the sound of electricity. I unconsciously stepped back.

"What...what?"

"My monsters, I've returned." the monster queen grinned from...well there were no ears, but, you know. The robots in the room that had been dormant until now started making noise and jumping around. They were celebrating.

"What the hell is going on?!" I screamed. The smoke ghost thing consolidated into Morgan. Morgan as she was before, black and red hair, dark eyes, biker jacket, black jeans. She really liked black and red...She snapped her fingers and the robots all stopped making noise and stood at attention at once. Oh no...she controlled these beasts...she was like...their god? Or something.

"That body is what I really am." Morgan said calmly. "This is a front. Although, I am fond of this form." She looked at her hand. I noticed a tattoo there...the same symbol as the ones on the robots.

"What are you?"

"A spectre. I'm sure you've seen many primitive versions of my kind before, you just don't remember." Morgan mused.

"Would you. Make. Sense?!" I was at my wit's end. Morgan nodded.

"It's simple. I am an artificial intelligence in a specialized electrical body, created by my father who died by the hand of Jeremie and his friends via a virtual reality called Lyoko. That is the big secret they were hiding, by the way. My father would attack and they would rewind time so that nobody ever remembered except them. Now I've brought the virtual creatures my father used in the virtual world to Earth and I've done what he never could...all in the name of vengeance and glory." Morgan explained with a straight, calm face. My eye twitched.

"The hell...?" I asked. Morgan smirked, apparently pleased with my reaction.

"I know that's a lot to take in, but it's all true. You can ask them sometime if you like, while you're helping to take them down."

"You're...you're fucking crazy!" I held up the gun but suddenly my hand hurt and the gun skidded across the floor. I looked at her hand...it was smoking. She lunged forward and pinned me to the wall by the neck...I couldn't move my appendages either, and I couldn't breathe...I couldn't breathe! Her face was only an inch or so away from mine.

"Emily...Emily..." Her voice was smooth, but with a dangerous edge to it. Her eyes had the same gleam I imagine a spider has when it sees the look on the fly's face when it realizes it's trapped. "Did you just try to shoot me? To defy me? Because we can't have that..." I couldn't move. Was she...was I dead? Was I going to die, was this it?! She seemed to retreat in her intensity for a moment, and searched my face, pondering something? Then she leaned in once more and smiled.

"I know your type, Emily. You're proud of your intelligence, and you need to be in control." Morgan's smile widened, her eyes flashing. "Imagine this: I take control of your bodily functions. You get to watch, but your body no longer responds to your will. I do this through a series of painful electrical shocks, ever so slightly too strong for your brain to handle. This causes your mental state to slowly decline as you watch your mind fall apart, and watch yourself complete acts of greater and greater depravity. you'll kill...you'll maim...you'll do any number of horrible things I can think of...and at the end you'll be a vegetable still able to feel pain, and then finally snuff out your miserable experience. I can do it, too." White hot pain through my body and in what I assumed was her electrocuting me. I screamed. "You understand?"

"Yes..." I gasped.

She let go of me.

Before I knew what was happening tears were falling from my eyes. I wiped my eyes and set them down on the manta's back. It felt like silicone. It was smooth...The robots weren't bad themselves...they were just controlled by some demon queen...

And the Manta was taking me back to her. I didn't want to go back. I wanted to run away forever. I wanted it all to go away...

We flew over Paris. A lot of buildings were knocked down or had holes in it...it stunk. There were corpses lying in heaps...People gave up on proper burials. And I...shot that girl...Why did I do that? I didn't have to. It was self defense. But...that was still no excuse. I just, I didn't want to die. I didn't want to die by Morgan's hands...she would make it so painful and horrible. She would do to me what she was doing to the world...A slow decline while everyone got to watch their world crumble apart.

Why was she so cruel? Was she that upset about her father? If that was the case, why punish the whole world?

No, no. I knew why she did it. She did this because she liked it. Every time she looked upon her work she had this stupid grin on her face.

The Manta let me down, Morgan was there waiting for me...She looked mad.

"What was that?" She asked.

"What?"

"Odd's still alive, and you let them keep the bullet. I told you not to ever leave the bullet. If they get their hands on it...Are you trying to subtly betray me?" I heard crackling in the air which meant she could attack any second.

"No! No, I just forgot...I had to get out! I can go get it back! It's in Stacey's abdomen." I said, putting my hands out to try and placate her.

"No need. I'm taking care of it. But really, Emily." She paused for a moment. "I realize I've been foolish. I send you out with a gun into an unfamiliar world and no experience. You need training, is all. We'll start with that later today, but for now, I have some things to attend to." And with that Morgan turned around and went into the next room, leaving me to my own devices.

Oh god, I was terrified.
