A/N: I know author notes are usually ignored but for the love of God, do not ignore this one. There are references to abuse in this story, I cut any parts that i considered too graphic but i still don't want anyone with that type of damage to be affected. Don't risk your mental health over a fanfic. Now that we got that out of the way, this story is sort of a Chaos story. It'll have less humor than my other stories and is slightly deeper, hence the M rating. As of now, there are no smut scenes planned but if enough reviews ask for it, i might consider, but as of now, there is no smut. If this didn't put you to sleep, then read on, my friend.

Percy Jackson

Percy was no stranger to déjà vu but what was happening now was almost too much. Olympus was having a party to celebrate the end of the Giant War. The award ceremony had ended earlier in the day, luckily the gods didn't offer Percy godhood again because he'd hate to have to turn them down again.

A giant disco ball hung from the ceiling, a assortment of different colors shooting out. Percy didn't know there were disco balls that big, this thing was bigger than the biggest ball of yarn. The music was loud enough that he could feel every thump from the bass.

The gods were going all out too. Demeter had set up a whole table of snacks and drinks, some of it for the gods only and some of it for the demigods. Apollo himself was playing music through the speakers hooked up around the throne room. As much as Percy hated some of the god's singles, he actually didn't mind some of the songs he was playing. One thing that genuinely shocked Percy was the fact that the gods actually put their bickering aside for once, even Athena and Poseidon were being civil.

Every single demigod that fought in the Giant War, Roman and Greek, were in the throne room. Aside from Octavian and his little group of traitors, everyone was there. Reyna had even let her guard down and was smiling and laughing with Piper and Jason. Her silver bracelet signifying her new enlistment with the Hunters of Artemis.

The Romans were really partying hard. They took work hard and play hard to the next level. He didn't think some of them were that flexible or could even dance that well but every few minutes, some Roman demigod would pull of a dance move that just wouldn't be possible in the mortal world in a typical ball.

That didn't mean the Greeks weren't having fun either. Leo and Calypso were dominating the couples dance, putting Grover and Juniper to shame. Juniper and Calypso were excellent dancers, while Grover and Leo were just following their leads, not that Percy was any better. Annabeth had basically led every dance between them.

Speaking of Annabeth, she was currently standing next to him with a cup of Coke. She was laughing at Piper, who had now started drawing hearts with a pink highlighter on Jason's back. Reyna and Thalia were snapping pictures on their phones. Percy couldn't wait to see those floating around Camp.

"You should let me do that to you sometime." Annabeth said, pointing towards Jason while grinning at Percy.

"Only if you do it in blue." Percy said.

Annabeth's laugh was downright music to his ears. There was moment in Tartarus where he thought everything was lost, he and Annabeth were going to be the tragic story of two heroes lost to the pit. It felt like forever down there. Yet here he was on Olympus, partying with their friends and extended family. Percy had never felt better.

The mood was way better than it was during the party at the end of the Titan War. As nostalgic Percy was for those days, he didn't miss the air of grief that filled the throne room. He lost so many friends, plenty of whom he considered family, for a pointless war. That was the one thing Percy held against Luke, he had a good cause but he didn't need to start a war over it. Good people died during that war, people like Beckendorf, Zoe Nightshade, Bianca Di Angelo, and even Silena.

"You okay?" Annabeth asked him.

"Huh?" Percy said, snapping out of his thoughts and looked back into Annabeth's gray eyes.

"You were zoning out for a minute. I just wanted to make sure you weren't about to have a flashback or something." She said.

"Nah, I'm fine. I was just thinking." Percy said.

"About what?" She asked.

Percy wasn't sure what to say but decided to do his best. "You ever feel nostalgic for the old days? You know, the days when we beat Kronos?"

Annabeth laughed, "We're calling something that happened a few months ago the old days now?"

"I'm being serious!"

Annabeth smiled but she too had a hint of nostalgia in her eyes, "A little bit. I don't miss the war, but I do miss some things. To think, I used to hate Silena for bugging me about you every day, now I'd rather she and Beckendorf survived."

"Same." Percy quipped, "At least we have something to look forward to now."

"Oh really?" She asked, "Like what?"

Percy's smile widened as he wrapped his arm around her waist and gently pulled her close as to not spill her drink. He leaned in close, his lips nearly touching hers, "Well, New Rome doesn't have any rules about me and you being in the same room."

Annabeth's gray eyes darkened, "Mmhm, I bet you're real happy about that."

"Don't act like you aren't either." He said.

"Guilty as charged." She smiled.

"Hey, don't you two start making out right now!" Thalia's voice yelled.

"No! I needed blackmail!" Travis cried out.

Percy and Annabeth looked over to see Thalia and Reyna grinning at them. Both girls knew of Percabeth but they didn't want to see a live demonstration. Travis meanwhile was waiting with his new iPhone, a gift from his dad. Percy flashed him a smile while Annabeth did her best war glare at him.

"What do you think about finding somewhere more private?" Percy whispered in Annabeth's ear.

"I'll make out with you but you better not think that I'm going to have sex with you tonight, not with all these people to walk in on us." She said.

Percy pouted, "You're no fun."

"And you're a pervert." She said while smacking him on the shoulder.

Percy hooked his hands under Annabeth's thighs and hoisted her up, causing her to shriek. Instead of carrying her out of the throne room, he just spun around with her, causing her to laugh freely. A few demigods around them cheered and laughed at Annabeth being spun around.

"Put me down!" She screamed.

Percy let her down while grinning like a idiot. She wore a grin just as big as his. It felt good to be with Annabeth, knowing she was safe and sound. Honestly, he couldn't get enough of her sometimes.

The sound of someone clearing their throat broke the two lovebirds out of their little bubble. Percy looked over to see his dad smiling at him. Athena was next to him, wearing a smaller smile. Percy felt a weight being lifted off him, at least she was happy too, he'd hate to be killed by the wisdom goddess now of all times.

"Looks like you two are having fun." Athena said.

"Yeah, me and Bird Brain here saw the whole thing." Poseidon chuckled.

"Oh, shut up!" Athena smacked him on the back of the head. She turned back to Percy and Annabeth, "Anyways, we were hoping to talk to the both of you."

"Uh, sure thing." Percy said.

Athena stepped forward and softly grabbed Annabeth's hand, "First, I'd like to apologize. I know the last time you saw me, I was in a rather…unfavorable state. I know what making you find the Parthenos did and I'm sorry. I never thought that you, my favorite daughter, would have to face the horrors of Tartarus."

"It's fine, mother." Annabeth said, though she had a small tear sliding down her cheek.

Athena turned on Percy, "As for you, I never thought I'd say this but thank you, Percy. You made the choice to save my daughter instead of yourself, I will remember that. I wanted to talk to you both to tell you that I give you both my blessing. You are free to do as you wish, marry, have children, grow old together. You've earned it."

Percy gaped for a moment. He never thought that he'd actually hear those words out of Athena's mouth. He thought that he'd die before hearing those words. Yet here she was, telling him that he was free to marry Annabeth.

"Son, you're gaping like a fish!" Poseidon laughed heartily.

Percy closed his mouth and shook his head rapidly, "Um, thank you, Lady Athena."

Athena nodded before telling Poseidon, "Now, I'm going to go join the party. Please, refrain from bring a buffoon."

"Me? Never!" Poseidon said with mock offense.

"You're impossible." Athena said as she walked off.

Poseidon turned back to Percy and Annabeth, "Well, congrats to you both. Especially to you, son. I never thought Athena would get around to you banging her daughter but you continue to defy the odds."

Annabeth blushed bright red while Percy's cheeks flushed.

"Thanks, Dad." Percy murmured.

"Real talk though, I have something to tell both of you. Really, it's to Annabeth than you, Percy, but I figured you'd want to be here to know."

"Yeah?"

Poseidon walked forward and put a hand on Annabeth's shoulder, "I offer to you the same protection I offer to Percy. If you ever find yourself in trouble, no matter what it is, go to the sea. As long as you are in my domain, I will ensure that no harm will come to you. But I want something in return."

"W-what?" Annabeth asked with a shaky voice. She'd never really been addressed by one of the Big Three personally.

"Take care of my boy. I think you and I both know he's a magnet for trouble." The sea god grinned.

"I'm right here you know." Percy said.

Poseidon laughed and pulled him into a hug that was all comfort. Poseidon had never been the fatherly type but right now, Percy thought that he was the best dad he could've ever asked for.

Poseidon pulled back, "I guess I'll leave you both now. Enjoy the party."

With that, the sea god departed into a sea of demigods. Leaving Percy and Annabeth gaping. They had never seen this type of love from the gods. They almost seemed human for a moment.

"Well, that was interesting." Percy said.

"Yeah." Annabeth agreed, "I'm glad though."

Percy pulled her into a deep hug, as rough as demigod life was, moments like these made it worth it.

If only he knew how short these moments would last.
