Kong was enjoying his time in the Iwi village after doing his duty in saving the sacrifices from the disgusting primitives that he despised, though they worshiped him like some sort of War God. He had been alive for years until a routine had been given and followed, every five years he would save a woman and take her to the Iwi. The Iwi helped her recover and he went back to keeping the balance on the island, which was something that he had to do. Sure, the island could regulate itself but he had a gut feeling that he was the one making sure it stayed that way.
Currently, he was walking out of one of the river gates. Given that the Iwi were not that far from his smaller kin, the gates were the easiest way to reach them. He ducked under the lifted gate, making his way towards the regular jungle area where they usually ate their food in peace. Given that Vastatosaurus also were wary of him, he kept the population of his cousins alive. They lived long lives like he did, but also were smaller than he was. The undead creations of the primitives were five feet taller
Walking through the jungle, he frowned as something got his attention. The stench was that of exposed flesh, dark energy and the smell of hybrids of human and animal. He looked around before spotting the trees being forced out of the way by a red and black mass of creatures that were moving towards his Cousins. He started to full on sprint towards them, grunting as he pushed himself to get there first. He barely arrived before the abominations of his kin erupted out of the trees with their stolen bone skulls roaring.
He saw the horrible children of those natives that had bred with the animals of the island, with dark magic infused into them. They could leave the island, like they did in the past but they could never return as they would forget the island. Kong remembered those times those hybrids left, their most powerful children never returning and peace on the island was hard as the void created led to war for those people. He had come in and ended the war at cost of life almost, thankfully, they stopped when his magical powers came to life.
His fist collided into the skull of one of the abominations, cracking its head open with the force of his punch. It was sent flying as it grabbed another by the neck, spinning around to shove it into one of its fellows. The horns on this abomination's skull pierced through the body of its fellow, blood spilling onto the ground as it screamed in agony. Grunting, he backhanded another before something else roared and it wasn't these dark creations. Leaping through the air, the spinosaurid from before slammed feet first into the body of one of the dark kin. It ripped out the throat of the beast with no remorse before its claws decapitated another, its many teeth exposed at it roared.
Its tail came around and crushed another skull with its power, the tip slashing a deep wound into the skull of another. Another creature then appeared, just appearing into existence, roaring as its jaws snapped around the leg of a Dark Kin. The abomination howled as it was dragged back before some of Kongs cousins came out with massive rocks and weapons of simple make. Spears and clubs were in his cousin's hands as they charged against their darker halves, blood boiling within them as they fought harder then ever.
Then something knocked him in the face, cutting his cheek as Kong stumbled back. He looked up and froze, recognizing the body of his elder sibling. Half decomposed and brimming with dark magics, Kong's elder sibling was a cursed sight that made him feel distraught. The zombie Kong growled, more of an animal than a thinking being now. Its hands had claws as it tried to claw at his throat before he slapped the offending digits away. Kong let the past burn in an inner fire that had been too cold for too long, now becoming a roaring furnace as his fur started to stand on end.
Clouds started swirling above them darkly as rain started pouring down upon the battlefield, Kong punching away his former kin's assaults with brutal efficiently. Thunder boomed before lightning slammed into the ground, striking down Dark Kin and the hybrids of the natives in massive droves. The Dark Kin of the Kongs roared as the hybrids died, several of their own members roaring in shock as their brethren were turned into smoking corpses. Kong felt something inside him break, a dam finally being broken away to let the waters take out those before him.
Lightning came down around him before striking into his body, but Kong didn't feel pain or death from this. No, the Earth is giving him power to end this threat. Lightning empowered his body as it struck him, electricity dancing all over his body as he started to glow like a bright star. Lifting his arm, he pulled on his inner powers to call a weapon that would fit him. Something answered, spinning through the air as a massive axe came to him. The weapon sparked with magic and lightning as its viking origins gave away in its design.
Created by the Iwi magic forgers in the past, this weapon was called Leviathan's Tooth, created for the ancestors of his people. Now, he was the last one to ever wield this war axe. His hand closed around the handle, as he brought it down. The ornate axe head sparked as lightning followed like a demented flag, hitting the ground caused an explosion of energy. His fallen sibling stepped back, hissing before Kong pulled the weapon free of the ground.
He lept at his dead family member, bringing the axe around in a controlled swing that buried itself into the upper arm of the walking corpse. The flesh burned, disintegrating under the plasma that covered the blade before it exploded. The arm dropped as the stump of the upper arm bled, the dead Kong howling before Kong punched his fallen sibling. The skull cracked from the force, causing the monster to stumble backwards.
Kong ended the fight by bringing the axe into the chest of the abominated sibling of his, growling as the seconds before the plasma empowered energies inside. Kong saw the split second soul of his sibling appear then vanish as its chest exploded, flesh vaporizing or burning from the lightning that expanded off the axe head. Kong felt the axe and power leave him as he fell to his knees, gasping from the amount of power that had flowed into and out of his body.
It was utterly tiring, hoping he never had to use that power again. Killing one's family was disheartening enough, he never wanted to do that again.
Harry growled before ripping out the throat of the last abomination before the rest of the natives ran away, roaring in victory as the massive apes around him roared and beat their chests. He looked over at the larger simian, ready to tear him apart before Bella stepped in front of him. Her white body blocked his view slightly as she looked at him. His anger boiled at that, ready to attack her for blocking him before the oldest of the Apes walked up. His face had scars from ancient battles with the tyrannosaurus predators, giving Harry a look that caused his anger to cool instantly.
The look was that of one that knew of his pain or anguish, however, the simian seemed to tell him it wasn't worth it. Harry felt utterly chastised by this smaller primate that looked like an oversized silverback Gorilla, looking away as Bella walked up and rubbed her snout against his. He grunted before nuzzling back, turning away from Kong before sniffing the air. He could smell the trail Kong had come from, growling at Bellatrix to follow him as they headed to where the massive simian came from.
Korg, leader of the younger species of the Kong family, walked up to the young King of Skull Island. He had saved the young King from having to face the wrath of a son of magic, one that saw the young king as he tried to get onto his feet.
"I would stay there, young king," Korg said, putting a hand on Kong's shoulder, "the son of magic has not left just yet."
Kong huffed before nodding, "why does he attack me?"
Korg looked over at the forms of the two saurians that were leaving down the trail Kong had created to get here, humming to himself.
"You took his mother to the honorable Iwi people," Korg said, once magic gave him a vision of what had occurred, "you drove a stone spike through his heart. His kind were a proud people in the past, able to hunt our dark kin without darker magics affecting them. However, in the purge, the younger generations fled to the inland sea to become the serpents that live there. Also, they brought the flying primeval dracosaurs. The flying tyrannosaurs that hunt in the wheat deserts, these animals that hunt the creatures that have ended your bigger kins lives with a tail that strikes like lightning."
Kong blinked, confusion written all over his face, "But why?"
Korg shook his head, "You were not born during that time, you were born several hundred years after their destruction. You see, they were prideful and proud, there is a difference. They were the ones that handled the balance of the island as magic demanded, in conjunction with your ancestors. When they were hunted into extinction, the balance went to your ancestors to handle as they grew bigger and more powerful. You are the last of their grand lineage but the son of magic is the last of those that brought balance before."
Kong blinked once before rising to his feet, sighing deeply as he looked at the elder Megaprimatus Kong. The Gigaprimatus Kong looked away before turning his gaze towards the distant pair of saurians. The current leader of the younger Kong species watched with the towering bipedal simian as the pair of saurians headed towards the Iwi village.
In the base that was not that far off from the Iwi village, the InGen and Biosyn agents were relieved to hear that Mrs. Potter was found and secured. Not only that, given that the base was near the Iwi Village, they could get help from them and guides. Of course, they were slowly getting used to the vast amounts of predators that lived on the island. But, they also had some other issues on the waterfront.
Sonar had been acting oddly lately before a shape was seen, something massive that seemed to indicate something like a whale was swimming around the Cráneo reef before that shape became larger. Camera's were put into the water on mobile devices to find out what the shape was, only to discover that the shape belonged to a rather large amphibious reptile that was as around thirty or so feet in height. It was some creature they didn't have an evolutionary line for except that it was some short-snouted crocodilian with fin-like ear structures.
That was until the mother showed up and outsized many smaller whale like species, by a ton. Its massive size combined with its humanoid shape, the parent of the younger smaller creature was fighting another dinosaurian. Due to both being aquatic based creatures, they tried to figure out what they were related to. The brightly colored one, a red scaled spinosaurid looking creature, howled loudly before it was sent swimming away in defeat. The larger one, dubbed "Ogra", stood up.
Its body from the upper belly down was in the water, giving a good view of the upper body. Armored in dark green scales, the powerful limbs with four webbed fingers with huge talons. A long crocodilian tail splashed before it growled, watching the younger creature as it played on the wet shoreline before returning to the parent. Speculation was had all over the place with this species before they started sending teams out into the reef and around the five islands. These teams started to discover massive aquatic species that had diversified for the local ecosystem.
Massive reptiles that evolved from ancient monitor lizards, named Rhedosaurus, and huge cuttlefish-like creatures named Gezora. The more they looked, the more they realized that Isla Cráneo was home to some of the most bizarre animal life on Earth.
