The Story of Glaceon
Chapter 12
Broken Hearts
It is still midnight and Glaceon who is once again an Eevee is upset about what happened between her and Lucario. To make Glaceon talk to Vaporeon she promised to not tell anyone.
"Vaporeon, Lucario is gone." said Glaceon.
"What do you men he's gone? What happened Glaceon?" said Vaporeon.
"We were talking about how we felt about each other but when Jolteon found me I said something that I didn't mean at all. Or maybe I did I don't know.."
"Oh Jolteon..what did you say to him about Lucario?"
"I told him me and Lucario will never be more than just friends." Glaceon said as she put her head down in guilt.
"Oh no Glaceon, did he over hear what you said?"
"Yes I regret it so much, and I feel like the worst Pokémon in the world."
"Glaceon if anything I'm the worst Pokémon in the world. I believe we now have something in common."
Glaceon puts her head back up to listen to Vaporeon. Meanwhile Lucario returned to the pond where he and Glaceon were. He looked at his reflection in the pond and splashed it away.
Lucario looks away from the pond. "I feel so stupid. How could I have thought me and Glaceon could've been more."
"Who are you talking to?" said a voice.
"Who's there?" said Lucario.
A Clefairy appeared. "My name is Clefairy."
"If you don't mind I really don't want company right now."
"Well little Riolu, I kinda live here sorry."
"Oh I'm sorry Clefairy, and I'm not a Riolu by the way. I may look it but I'm actually a Lucario. It's a long story."
"It's okay you didn't know."
Lucario sat down looking at the pond once again with a sad face. Clefairy got closer and sat next to Lucario.
"What's wrong Lucario and are you sure that's your real name?" said Clefairy.
"Yes, honest." said Lucario.
"I believe you." Clefairy smiles.
"Good I'm glad."
"I can also tell that something is bothering you though."
"It's alright Clefairy don't worry about me I'm fine."
"Is it a girl?"
"Really it's nothing."
"Please tell me Lucario. I happen to be really good with helping Pokémon with their problems. I won't tell anyone what you say to me, promise."
"Well I trust you Clefairy. I can sense it."
"So what's wrong?"
"It's a girl I've been friends with since we were little Pokémon. Well, we're little once again unfortunately."
"Do you like her?"
"Yes, ever since I met her and I know it's sounds crazy but I really do."
"Aww that's so sweet and not crazy at all!" Clefairy got excited. "Anyway have you told her how you feel?"
"I did actually but she lied to me about how she actually felt about me."
"How do you know?"
"She told her friend that I wasn't anything more to her than just her friend. It really hurts knowing that."
"That doesn't sound right. Are you sure she just wasn't hiding her true feelings? Girls are known to do that Lucario, even humans."
"I guess I never thought about that."
Lucario regains hope of Glaceon actually feeling the same way as he does. Meanwhile we go back to Vaporeon and Glaceon's conversation.
"What do you mean we have that in common?" said Glaceon.
"Jolteon did the same thing to me a couple years back. I was afraid to admit my feelings too when I had a special someone in my life." said Vaporeon.
"Who was your special friend Vaporeon?"
"Politoed."
Vaporeon tells the story of when she was in love with a Politoed who was once a Poliwag just like she was once an Eevee. They grew up together just as Glaceon did with Lucario.
"Before I came to Sinnoh I was from the Johto region." said Vaporeon.
"I never knew you were from Johto!" said Glaceon.
"Neither did the others. I first met Politoed when I was an Eevee and he was a Poliwag. You see I never knew my parents. I think I was just a new born when Poliwrath, Politoeds dad took me in as his own along with his kids. There was this one Poliwag that I liked the most, and that was Politoed."
"Wow." said Glaceon.
Vaporeon continued flashbacking to the past. "A couple years later we eventually separated but not me and Politoed of course. We were the best of friends but we eventually started developing special feelings for each other. By then I met Jolteon who is also from Johto."
"Jolteon too?" said Glaceon.
"Yes but I never knew if he was actually born in Johto like me." said Vaporeon.
"So you liked Politoed just like the way I feel about Lucario."
Vaporeon starts to blush. "Yes, yes I did."
Vaporeon continues the story. "It was a beautiful night. The stars were shining, and that's when it all happened. On the beach."
"I have something to tell you Vaporeon." said Politoed.
"What is it Politoed?" said Vaporeon.
"After all of these years I just want to say that I..I really love you."
"Glaceon I was about to tell Politoed how I felt but then I heard Jolteon giggling behind a rock. I went behind the rock to yell at him for being rude."
"Jolteon how dare you! Why are you spying on me?" said Vaporeon.
"You didn't tell me where you were going so I had to see for myself." said Jolteon.
"Well that's rude! Especially when this is a very special moment in my life that's happening right now."
"What do you mean 'important moment.'?"
"Forget about it just go home Jolteon."
"Wait is he your boyfriend?" Jolteon starts laughing.
"Jolteon we're just friends! Now go home!"
"Alright alright I'll go."
Vaporeon continues telling the story. "But when I turned around Politoed was right there looking so confused at me. I'll never forget the look on his face, I felt so bad."
"Vaporeon why?" said Politoed.
"Politoed it's not what you think. I didn't mean what I said at all I promise!"
"You sounded serious though."
"No Politoed, Jolteon was just being a pain so that's why I.."
"I'm going in the ocean." interrupted Politoed.
Vaporeon stopped telling the story after that because she didn't want to cry in front of Glaceon.
"I, I can't anymore I'm sorry." said Vaporeon.
"It's okay but is Politoed still, you know around?" said Glaceon.
"I don't know honestly. I never saw him again. I just wish I could see his face one last time."
"You will Vaporeon, I know it!"
"It was 2 years ago though Glaceon. I wanted to find him but that was when me and Jolteon found our trainer. I belong to somebody now."
"Were you mad at Jolteon?"
"Of course I was. It took awhile for me to forgive him but we're family."
"Right."
"What I'm trying to say here is don't make the same mistake as I did. Go talk to Lucario while you still can."
"Thank you Vaporeon."
Glaceon went to go find Lucario and Vaporeon went back to sleep. Glaceon finds Lucario walking the same way as her like it was fate.
"Lucario there you are! I was so worries about you!" said Glaceon as she ran towards him. They hug each other tight.
"I'm so sorry Lucario please forgive me!" said Glaceon.
"I'm sorry for overreacting Glaceon. I understand now."
Glaceon letted go of Lucario looking more shy around him than ever. "Let's get back to the campsite. We'll talk tomorrow I had a long night."
"Yeah me too."
