Tarot Chariot, Amazonite, and Vondergeist stood a few feet away from the muscular Nomu.
Minutes earlier, Amazonite released multiple crescent blades and Tarot Chariot tossed an entire deck of energy cards at the Nomu in rapid speed. But the Nomu unexpectedly endured their Quirks. To add more surprise on Amazonite and Tarot Chariot's faces, the Nomu absorbed their Quirks and released them back out, causing Vondergeist to take quick action. Vondergeist placed both hand on his wife's and Tarot Chariot's shoulders, turning them and himself intangible while the redirected attacks phased right through them.
Now, the Nomu suddenly began bulking itself up into enlarged size.
"Impossible!" Vondergeist asked in utter shock.
"We've hit this thing with everything we got!" Amazonite exclaimed with a shocking face.
"All Might told me about these Nomus. Just like the one back in USJ, this Nomu has multiple Quirks." Tarot Chariot said. "This monster appears to have Absorption and Release Quirk, although it looked like a weak version."
Then, the Nomu jumped into mid-air that caught the heroes' quick attention.
"Vondergeist!" Amazonite called out to her husband.
"I'm on it!" Vondergeist nodded.
Vondergeist turned himself intangible and flew forward. The Nomu released multiple tongues at Vondergeist from his mouth, but the tongues instantly jetted right through the ghost hero. Vondergeist phased right through the Nomu, numbing the creature in place. That gave Amazonite and Tarot Chariot the opportunity to strike again. They jetted right on either side of the numbing Nomu. Amazonite began psychokinetically halted the Nomu's movement. Tarot Chariot created a pink energy card in between her fingers and tossed it in the air above her. The energy card grew itself into a large size. The energy card then fired a massive energy barrage in shapes of spades, clovers, diamonds, and hearts down onto the Nomu, slamming the creature into the ground and knocking it out unconsciously.
"Nice work, ladies." Vondergeist complimented as he, Amazonite, and Tarot Chariot landed back onto the ground.
Tarot Chariot, Amazonite, and Vondergeist suddenly heard an explosion not too far from their location.
"No bet that there are other heroes needing our help." Tarot Chariot said. She looked back at Amazonite and Vondergeist. "Let the cops take care of this guy. We'll tie him up and head out to help the other heroes while we can."
Amazonite and Vondergeist exchanged concerned faces as they recalled something earlier before their arrival to aid Tarot Chariot against the Nomu.
[Flashback]
Amazonite, Vondergeist, Aisha, and their sidekickssoared to the location of the fiery calamity.
"Heads up, Aisha." Vondergeist informed. "There's trouble ahead. Be vigilant and beneficial at all cost."
"Yes, sir." Aisha nodded.
Aisha suddenly stopped and took out her phone. Her eyes narrowed when she read the text message from Luna. Aisha flew away, which caught her parents' attention.
"Aisha, wait!" Amazonite shouted.
"Where are you going?" Vondergeist yelled.
"I'll send you the alleyway location once I get there! I'm leaving you guys here to deal with the calamity!" Aisha shouted back. Hold on, Luna. I'm coming.
[Flashback Ends]
Amazonite and Vondergeist exchanged nods before turning back to Tarot Chariot.
"Actually, there's an address we need to investigate." Amazonite said. "Make sure the cops handle the Nomu before heading off to help the other heroes."
"You got it." Tarot Chariot nodded.
Back in the alleyway, an unconscious Comet was tied with tight rope.
"Good thing I was able to find some rope along the way here." Aisha said.
"Let's get her to the police as fast as we can." Luna suggested.
"Good idea." Selene agreed with a nod.
Luna and Selene walked out to the street as Aisha carried Comet with her psychokinesis.
Suddenly, Amazonite and Vondergeist arrived in time to detect the girls.
"Oh, thank goodness!" Amazonite said with a relived smile. "I'm glad you girls are safe."
"Amazonite and Vondergeist? How'd you two find us?" Selene asked.
"Aisha was the one who send us your location for help." Vondergeist answered. He took out his phone in his hand and began dialing. "And by the looks of those injuries, I'm gonna contact an ambulance right away."
Suddenly, a winged Nomu dove down from the sky and came down to the group.
"I've got this!" Amazonite shouted.
But it was too late for Amazonite to use her Quirk. The winged Nomu quickly snared Luna with its clawed feet and took off in the air.
"That Nomu got Luna!" Selene exclaimed.
"It may be too high, but mom and I can catch it!" Aisha said urgently.
Then suddenly, a pink triquetra mark appeared on Luna's forehead. Luna could instantly feel powerful surges of pink energy brimming throughout her entire body as her eyes glowed bright pink. She looked up at the winged Nomu and took aim at it with one hand. She then gathered tremendous energy from the palm of her hand and shot out an obliterating blast of pink energy that reduced the winged Nomu to bones and melted muscles.
Amazonite, Vondergeist, Aisha, and Selene gawked in disbelief at what they just saw.
Did she just…killed a Nomu?! Aisha and Selene exclaimed in absolute shock.
The winged Nomu began falling from the air. But Luna found herself too exhausted to break free as she had already lost consciousness and shut her eyes. Then, the winged Nomu collapsed hard to the ground.
"I don't know what just happened." Amazonite said. She lifted out her hands and psychokinetically levitated an unconscious Luna away from the demolished Nomu. "But that power left her out cold. Let's get her to the hospital." She turned to her husband. "Inform the police on this Nomu."
"Right." Vondergeist nodded.
Meanwhile, Tomura and Kurogiri watched everything on top of the water tower.
"Hey, hey, hey, what the hell? This is not fair!" Tomura said angrily as he looked at the scene that involved the Hero Killer through his binoculars. "Why'd he have to go and kill that Nomu? And why is that brat here?" He lowered his binoculars away. "I'm so mad, I don't even know what to say. This is a mess!" He then started scratching his neck. "Why do things never go the way I want them to?"
"But did you see that power, Shigaraki?" Kurogiri asked. "That Luna will make a great addition to us."
Tomura calmed down when he heard his love's name.
"Indeed." Tomura said. "True, the Nomu failed to capture her. But there's always a next time."
Elsewhere, three women gazed astonishingly at a holographic screen that projected Comet's data report about her fight with Luna, Aisha, and Selene. But they paid their close attention to Luna and her Dazzling Trinity ability.
"Impossible." Ariella gasped in tears.
"But how…?" Carina said in surprise.
"After all these years, it's really her." Oriana said with wide eyes. "My dear daughter…Ursula."
