Chapter5

Separatist command ship, bridge.

"Commander. I have the information you requested" Said a separatist command droid.

"That is good. What are we facing" the separatist commander asked as he looked at the scan reading of the unidentified republic ship in front of him.

"We have little data to go on; however the ship is called the Huntress. It is the newest ship in the republic ship and the flag ship of one general Ahsoka Tano. A newly promoted Jedi, her master was killed in our allies attack on the republic capital. We have also been informed by our ally that the ship is carrying the supreme chancellor." The droid reported.

The commander smiled evilly "Perfect, the capture of that ship and the chancellor, would make me the envy of the CIS and assure my ascension." He said wicked joy in his voice "Launch all fighters, fire at will" he ordered. With the word given his droid crew went into action.

Huntress, bridge.

Stealth reached the bridge in record time. As soon as he was on the bridge he went over to Ahsoka and Admiral Long "What's going on Sir?" he asked.

"We had to drop out of Hyperspace to go around an anomaly" Admiral Long sad simply.

"Yes and when we did we were faced with those" Ahsoka said as the ship began to take fire from six separatist cruisers. "Launch all fighters, get all troops ready to repel boarders" Ahsoka ordered.

"Yes, Ma'am" Stealth said as he ran f ftp get his men ready.

Admiral long turned to crew on the bridge and began barking orders. "Charge main batteries, rise defence shields and launch all fighters" she said. The navel clones all nodded and the bridge was a hub of activity. The Huntress was a state of the art ship and so where her weapons and shields. The huntress had the standard eight duel main batteries of any other capital ship but the cannons where twice as powerful. She had stronger deflector shields, this did mean however that she had to have an extra emitter dome on top of the single, central, rectangle bridge. In addition to the deflector shields the huntress had state of the art hull armour and a ray shield that wrapped around the outer hull of the ship, except for the hanger entrance at the top of the ship.

"Target the lead cruiser and open fire" Ahsoka said as the cruiser neared the Huntress. The Huntress open fire and in moment the Separatist cruiser burst into flames and exploded.

"Sir two more coming in at points nine and three" One of the navel clones said.

Ahsoka hit the com =^= Gunnery decks prepare to broadside=^= she ordered. =^= Gunnery deck ready=^= came the reply.

=^= Open fire=^= Ahsoka barked. Soon the gunnery deck on both sides of the ship opened fire. The shots impacted the attacking cruise causing a lot of damage but the cruisers where also weakening the Huntress's shields.

"Keep our fire concentrated on the attacking forward cruisers" Long ordered as another Separatist ship exploded. Just then another exploded in half =^= This is swoop we've managed to bomb on of their cruiser to oblivion. However landing craft have got through our fighters. Their heading for the hanger=^=

Long looked at Ahsoka "I've got the space battle, you deal with those rust buckets" she said. Ahsoak nodded "Good Luck" she said as she left.

Huntress, main hanger.

When Ahsoka reached the hanger her men where already engaging the enemy. Dead clones littered the hanger along with lots of wrecked droids, boxes being used as make shit cover and auto cannons. Blue and read laser bolts where whizzing about everywhere. She scanned the battle field trying to pick out her commander. She saw Doc running about the hanger checking on the wounded, she saw Loki firing his mini-gun into a group of super battle droids, she saw Snapper fire a rocket at a separatist gunship; the gunship spiralled out of control and crashed at the far end of the hanger. Finally she saw Stealth he was next to a clone using an auto cannon right at the front, the clone was Lucky. They were flanked by several other clone troopers and even some engineering clones. She made her way over to him cutting down droids as she went.

"Welcome to the party general" Stealth said as he fired at the droids. "It's a right mess. They managed to bring in three gunships and a shuttle full of B1s. I guess the fly boys are having trouble." He added.

"Their dealing with six cruises worth of fighters and bombers. Don't worry I'm pretty sure at least four of those cruisers are toast by now." Ahsoka said as she deflected several laser bolts. "We need to push these Clankers back" she added. Just then another shuttle came in. it opened and several commando droids came out and headed for the hanger exits.

"We got commandos" A clone said before he was shot in the head.

"They must be heading for the chancellor" Ahsoka said

"But how would the even know she was on board?" Stealth asked

"I don't know. Get ready Stealth you need to get to the chancellor. We'll keep the other clankers busy. Their lines have thinned we should be able to get the upper hand now." Ahsoka said as he stood up and signalled for her men to charge the droids. It was a risky move but they didn't really have much of a choice. Ahsoka raised both of her lightsabers and surged forward cutting down droids as she went. Her clones followed her and soon the clones where amount the droids. Stealth took the opportunity and ran after the droids =^= Admiral you have commando heading towards you=^= he said through his com.

Diplomatic deck

Stealth made it to the diplomatic area in record time, he needed to make sure the chancellor and Riyo where safe. He rounded the corner and saw the three of the senate guard where dead and so where two clones. He saw the guards and clones taking cover behind the blast door frames. He was in luck the commandoes hadn't seen him. He Ran behind them and hot at three o them taking two out and hitting the other in the arm. He kept heading towards the defenders. However just as he was about to reach the defenders he was knocked to the ground by the commando captain. The commando droids and stealth tussled but the commando droid was far stronger. The droid knocked Stealth's helmet off and started to choke him, he tried to kick the droid but it did nothing. Just then Stealth heard a strange noise and saw the commando droid get shot in the head ad fall to the floor. Stealth grabbed his guns and reached the defenders. He looked to see who had helped him and he was surprised to see the supreme chancellor and Riyo firing at the droids. The chancellor had a Naboo gun and it had been her that saved him.

"Thanks for the assist Sir" he said thankfully.

"No problem commander. I couldn't let you have all the fun" Padme replied as she shot another commando droid. Soon the commando droids where defeated and the Chancellor was secured.

Huntress Bridge

Jenna watched form the bridge as the fifth separatist cruiser exploded into flames, there was just one left now and it was turning to retreat. The victory was bitter sweet though, the huntress's shields were down to 9%, two of the batteries ad been knocked out, one by cruiser fire and the other by a lucky bombing run. She also knew that the Gunnery deck had reported causalities and a lot of fighters had been lost in space.

The com call from stealth wasn't good either. However she had faith on the men she had around her and in Ahsoka. Her thoughts where interrupted by the sound of blaster fire and the yells of two clones as they died. Jenna turned to face the commando droids "Surrender now" the Commando said. Jenna stepped forward "Um no" she said as she pistol whipped the commando droid and shot another one. She then vaulted over the holo-table and opened fore. Followed by the clones stationed on the bridge.

The battle began but soon Jenna and the clones where getting the upper hand. That was until Jenna was attacked by a sword wielding commando, she picked up a downed clones blaster and defended herself. She was nicked by the blade in the side but she kept fighting. Soon she was on top of the commando droid and she used the advantage to drive the sword through the commandos head. "Get off my bridge" she said. She got off the droids and sat up against the holo-table. The bridge was safe.

=^-= This is general Tano, the hanger is ours again. All decks report in=^= came Ahsoka voice through the com.

=^= This is Stealth the chancellor is secure and the droids are defeated. =^=

"This is Jenna. The bridge is safe" she said as she put her hand on her side. The battle had been won but I raised many questions. How did they know the chancellor was on board? How did the separatists know where they were heading? And above all who told them? Ahsoka didn't know at the time but soon her question would be answered.

AN: Hi all. I am so sorry I have been away for so long my life was manic as always. I've wrote a longish chapter to try and make up for that. Sorry if it isn't great, I'm not the best at writing action. Anyway I hope you enjoyed the chapter and as always please review.
