Golden deer paralogues/shujinko pov.

Land of the golden deer.

"This is pretty good tea lorenz. I'm glad i took your offer." i said. Taking a sip of the tea. Lorenz may suck with women. But he's a genius with tea.

"I'm glad it's too your liking my friend. The tea leaves are divine if I do say so myself." lorenz said. As he took a sip. Our team time was interrupted by rhea simp number 2. Or to use his real name. Cyril.

"Hey lorenz. Got a letter for you." cyril said. He handed the letter then walked away.

"A letter for me? Curious. Let's see what we have here." lorenz said. He opened the letter and began to read it.

"So what's going on?" i asked.

"Apparently that fool acheron is causing trouble and i need to help settle it." lorenz said.

"If you need help putting him in his place. Then allow me to assist." i said. The anger in my voice.

"Hmm. sounds like you've dealt with him in the past." lorenz said.

"Yes. every time he would pass by ordelia territory. He would remind them of their cooperation with house hrym in the rebellion. Despite the fact he would betray the alliance in a heartbeat. And would always mock and insult me. Nevermind the fact that this "commoner rat" could break every bone in his scrawny body with ease. So yeah. This is my chance to teach him a very painful lesson." i said with a smile.

"I thank you for your assistance shujinko." lorenz said.

Battle dialouge.

"Well if it isn't the commoner bodyguard of that traitorous ordelia family. What? Did the gloucester boy offer you more gold?" acheron said with all that too annoying scowl

"Nah. I just saw a golden opportunity. I finally have a justifiable reason to unleash my rage for every insult you threw at me and the ordelias! I'm going to enjoy every second of this!" shujinko yelled.

After the battle.

"God damn! That felt good!" i yelled. As i stretched my arms and cracked my neck.

"That was painful to watch…it would be best for me not to anger you…but I digress. No matter what the reason for your assistance was. I am in your debt. Thanks to you. The alliance was able to nip this in the bud." lorenz said.

"Yeah. But what about the mustached prick?" I asked.

"I would appreciate it if you did not use such vulgar language but I understand your anger. As for acheron. He has written a pledge to my father that he will not cause trouble about the border again." lorenz said.

"Surprise that he could write after what i did to him." i said.

"Indeed." lorenz said. As he shuddered.

"I highly doubt that he'll abide by it. But he has many connections from both ours and edelgards homes. So getting rid of that clown will not be easy. And axing him will have far reaching consequences. So all we can do is tolerate him. For now." i said.

"Do not worry my friend. I plan to eliminate him eventually. He is nothing but trouble." lorenz said with a face of anger. But it quickly turned into a smile. "Incessantly there another benefit to embarking on this errand." lorenz said. As he showed me a magic staff made of bone.

"A hero's relic!" i yelled.

"Indeed. This is the magic staff. Thyrsus. A relic passed down through count gloucester for generations. It seems father has finally recognized my ability." lorenz said with glee.

"I'm happy for your lorenz. Shall we celebrate with some tea. Beating the hell out of acheron has made me thirsty." i said with a grin.

"Of course my friend. Of course." lorenz said with a laugh.

Death toll.

"Man shujinko. You may not look it. But your insanely strong." raphael said as he recovered.

"I get that a lot…shall we go again." i said as i got into a brawler stance. Raphael nodded and did the same. However. Our spar was interrupted. By ignatz.

"Shujinko! I need to speak with you." ignatz said.

"You sound worried ignatz. What's going on?" I asked.

"I received a letter from my brother back home. There is some disturbing news. monsters have been attacking merchants within the alliance territory." ignatz said.

"That happens all the time…i mean that's how my parents died. So…" raphael said.

"Raphael…i'm sorry." i said.

"Hey. don't worry about that. Let's hear the rest of this ignatz." raphael said.

"Very well. These attacks seemed to focus on specific merchants. Specifically those who are traveling from the territory of house gloucester. To the riegan dukedom. Merchants traveling from the opposite direction. Don't suffer nearly as many attacks." ignatz said.

"This sounds fishy…we can worry about that. After those monsters are exterminated." i said. Punching my palm.

"But who is?" ignatz said.

"Us…your family's livelihood and lives are being put in danger because of this. And i don't abandon a friend. Me and raphael. And the rest of the deer. I'll go talk to professor byleth. Consider those monsters exterminated." i said with a grin.

"...thank you shujinko." ignatz said.

After the battle.

"I'm not looking forward to telling the count." the alliance general said. As he ran away from the fight.

"Looks like we took care of em!" raphael shouted with pride.

"That knight mentioned a count." i said.

"What would count gloucester have anything to do with this?" ignatz asked. After the battle we talked on of the merchants.

"Thank you so much!" we're safe now and it's all thanks to your efforts. I couldn't bear to think what might of happened if you hadn't shown up." the merchant said with gratitude.

"Yay! Happy ending for everyone!" raphael shouted.

"If you don't mind me asking…were you heading to the riegan dukedom?" ignatz asked.

"We were. We traveled around the alliance selling our wares. I heard this route was dangerous but…" the merchant said.

"I heard that merchants have been getting attacked by monsters on this route daily? You have any idea on what's going on?" i asked.

"That's right. We can't turn a profit without going to derdriu. I don't know what count gloucester is thinking." the merchant said.

"What the hell does the count gain out of this?" I asked.

"I think he's unhappy with merchants contributing to house riegan's wealth. It seems that he's been at odd with them forever. They say even the previous duke riegans death.." the merchant said.

"Was that the counts fault too?" raphael asked. With wide eyes.

"It's only a rumor but it was count gloucester himself who lured the late duke riegan out. If i recall correctly. He invited the duke to his estate to strike a deal on some valuable art pieces. I believe the duke brought some merchants with him to assess the pieces in question but…alas those merchants seem to have lost their lives alongside him. A terrible misfortune. I wish these nobles wouldn't get us common folk mixed up in their feuds." the merchant said.

"I'll say…" i said. The merchant left promising us some wares for saving his life. And walked away. "Raphael…were those merchants…" i asked.

"Yeah. that was my ma and pa." raphael said.

"My parents received the request initially. But they had other business. They recommended raphaels parents as substitutes. We could have never imagined." ignatz said with guilt.

"That the job was a death trap." i said.

"Alright! Alright! That's enough! It's just a rumor. Who cares? It's our parents business. It's got nothing do with us!" raphael yelled.

"What if it isn't raphael? Your parents were killed because of this petty feud. Count gloucester. Even if he is lorenz father! He can't keep killing merchants over this pretty feud with house riegan! He must face consequences for it!" i yelled.

"And what can we do? He's a powerful noble. And we're commoners. We can't do anything to a man like count gloucester." ignatz said defeated. I walked away.

"Just because someone is above the law. Doesn't mean their above justice." i said as i walked away.

Gloucester estate/midnight.

After killing every guard who went against me. And knocking the lance out of count gloucester's hands. And putting my sword to his throat. He began to shake in fear.

"W-who sent you? Which one those riegan bastards hired you!?" count gloucester yelled.

"None of them. If you and riegan want to be at each others throats then fine. But you should have left the merchants out of it! A friend…no my brother lost his parents because of your petty feud. And now you face the consequences of it." i said as i shoved my sword right through his throat. Ending his life. I left the estate. And returned to garreg mach by horse…i hope marianne doesn't mind me borrowing dorte. As i returned i sighed as i walked by lorenz room. The next day rolled around. And everyone was shocked to hear that count gloucester passed away. Lorenz left to grieve for his father…count gloucester faced the consequences of his actions…one day. I will face mine.

Oil and water.

"It's raining…on days like this. The wounds i got from shin hurts like fire." manuela said.

"I cannot apologize enough for what my brother did….i am truly sorry professor manuela." i said.

"It's alright shujinko. I don't blame you. After all. You hate your brother more than anyone…and the next time i see him. I'm gonna stab him back." manuela said. Her anger flaring.

"That's enough manuela. Cease your moaning and stop bothering shujinko." hanneman said as he stepped in to the conversation.

"Oh stuff it hanneman. Unlike you. Shujinko has a big heart and listens to me talk about any problem i have." manuela said.

"More likely. He's only listening because he blames himself for your wounds caused by his brother." hanneman said.

"...you know what? I'm gonna end this right here and now. Because i'm sick of seeing of you two butt heads. To the point where i'm surprised that either of you are standing…professor hanneman. I know you mean well. But you approach needs work. You come off like you know better. And nobody wants to listen to someone when they sound like they're trying to be their parent. When you are not." i said.

"That's exactly my problem with you hanneman. How about approaching me with a softer hand. And I might consider your advice." Manuela said.

"You should take some of his advice. You're just like your room. A complete and utter mess. Whenever you're not teaching. You're at the tavern. Downing the ale while crying about losing another man. Add that to your ever shrinking short temper. You are not setting a good example for the black eagles. Or the empire. So do yourself a favor and straighten up. Or you'll end up losing this job after getting drunk and sleeping with a student. Your both teachers of garreg mach. So set a good example and grow up! Both of you!" i yelled.

"Lectured by a student…ouch." manuela said.

"Our actions have been disgraceful…seems like i still have learning to do." hanneman said.

"Good. now…" i said only to be interrupted by natsu.

"Hey shujinko! Your bro's is causing trouble again!" natsu yelled.

"Dammit…where?" i asked.

"The westen edge of the sealed forest…he's got his own gang now." natsu said.

"Then let's go…i'm gonna wring that scumbags neck!" manuela yelled. As she ran off.

"Dammit manuela wait!" i yelled. "Damn woman is gonna get herself killed. Let's go natsu." i said. He nodded.

Battle dialouge.

Manuela

"There you are you bastard! Payback time!" manuela yelled. Shin laughed.

"That's rich…you really think i'm gonna lose to some washed up opera singer? Why don't leave the fighting to that old guy and go look for another dick to suck!?" shin yelled.

Hanneman.

"Why are you here old man? I know you and that drunken idiot don't get along. Are you really gonna shed tears if she dies. If she does. Well it would just prove that idiot should have listened." shin said.

"I can't argue that manuela is an idiot…but as a teacher of garreg mach. I have a duty to look out for my colleges." Hanneman said with pride.

Natsu.

"I seriously cannot believe that your parents kicked shujinko out to protect you…when you have literally no value to anyone! Your just a parasite!" natsu yelled.

"I'll show you parasite! You summer clan asshole!" shin yelled.

shujinko.

"Must we do this again? We both know how this is going to end. So why not leave while you still can."

"Not happening boy. And once i kill you. Those girls of yours will be my slaves. Don't worry. After a few nights with me. They'll forget all about you." shin said with an vile grin.

After the battle.

"Damn! I lost to you again! I'll be back. And your head will be mine! You hear me shujinko!?" shin yelled as he teleported away.

"Damn. he got away!" manuela yelled.

"Professor manuela…when we get back you and i are going to have a long talk." i said. My voice filled with anger.

Later at garreg mach.

"What the hell were you thinking!? He maybe a drug addicted scumbag! But he could still easily cut you in half! Honestly. How could a teacher be this dumb!? How have you not lost your job yet! I get that your pissed about being stabbed! But next time. Think before you do something! Otherwise a blade will finish what your liver started!" i yelled. Hanneman walked into the room.

"You gonna lecture me now?" manuela asked. He sighed.

"I believe our young friend here did enough for one day." hanneman said.

"I'm sorry. I let my emotions get the better of me…i promise i'll clean up my act." manuela said.

"Good. and the first step is cleaning the garbage dump to call a room." i said.

"What? But i'm too." manuela said.

"Now! Manuela!" i yelled.

"Y-yes sir." manuela said. As she ran for her room. I sighed.

"Why do i need to be a babysitter for a grown woman." i said.

"Well. you've made more progress with her then i have. You maybe our student but it seems we have much to learn from you as you do us. Thank you for helping me see that." hanneman said. I smiled.

Dividing the world.

"Hey honey. Can you tell the professor i'm going back home for a while?" hilda asked.

"This can't be good? What's wrong?" i asked.

"Well. for starters. The almyran forces are causing trouble at fodlan's locket." hilda said.

"Shouldn't holst be stopping them? I'm pretty sure he could handle this on his own." i said.

"He said that he really wants me to help out. He must be tired from all his hard work." hilda said.

"And i take it your dad is too old to take up arms?" i asked.

"Pretty much. I really really don't want to go. But I guess I have too." hilda said.

"...this is a good way to see how you've come…and your not going alone. What kind of boyfriend would i be if let my girl go fight against the almyrans alone?" i asked with a grin.

"Thanks sweetie. I'll gladly take any help i can get." hilda said with a blushing smile.

"Then you don't mind if i come along?" cyril asked has entered the conversation.

"Are you sure? You would be fighting people from your homeland." hilda said.

"None of them would remember me anyway…it's just that…i got captured in a battle at the locket. And that's how i ended up here…i'm just worried other kids wouldn't be so lucky that's all." cyril said.

"Fine by me…i'm going to go talk to claude and professor byleth. No doubt they'll help too." i said. As i walked towards the class room.

After the battle.

After driving the almyrans away. Hilda went to see her family for a bit. Back at garreg mach. Cyril told me a bit about the alymrans of how their a culture of fighting. A warrior culture. After a bit of chatting hilda returned.

"Phew. i'm tired. Honey. Cyril. Thanks for all your help." hilda said.

"Did you get the chance to see your brother?" cyril asked.

"I did. Though i think i'd be better of otherwise. He was horribly ill. For one thing. He looked so so pale and haggard. Apparently he ate a bad mushroom before the battle began." hilda said.

"Dumbass." i said.

"I know right? Anyway when i told him we handled the almyran situation. he was just gushing with praise. I tried telling him it wasn't all me. But he wouldn't listen.

"So how does it feel to get praise from a legend like holst?" i said with a grin.

"It did feel pretty good. I'll admit. But then things got awkward. He tried to pawn off his whole inheritance on me. I told him i wanted none of it. Eventually he settled with foisting this thing on me." hilda said. As showed us an axe made of bone.

"A hero's relic!" i yelled.

"Yep. an magic axe called freikugel. It's the hero's relic of house goneril. He said i should have it. Since i have the crest to wield it." hilda said.

"Makes sense. Swords are more holst's thing anyway." i said.

"He was so insistent. That I eventually relented." hilda said.

"Fitting that our wyvern riding valkyrie has an legendary axe to call her own." i said. Causing hilda to blush. She grabbed me by the hand.

"Well. allow this valkyrie to take you to valhalla. My handsome knight." hilda said as she dragged me to her room…guess i should have figured hilda would be my first…

Blue lions paralouges/athro pov.

The forgotten.

"Hey athro. How's life treating you? " Sylvain asked

"Can't complain. How's your day going?" i asked.

"Hey you busy today? I was hoping i could buy you some dinner." sylvain said.

"Your dating ingrid now sylvain. And i'm pretty sure you don't want a lance where the sun don't shine again. Once is one time too many for anyone." i said. I shivered when i remembered that. It was the day sylvain's flirting really came back to him like a piano falling on his head. Not only did he get an mob of ladies after him. When ingrid found out. She was PISSED! This was before they became an item. But when i heard her say "i'm going to end him." i crossed my heart for poor sylvain. You could say he deserved it. But still. The poor bastard looked like he got trampled by an giant demonic beast by the time ingrid was done.

"Of course not." sylvain said. As he shuddered badly. Can't blame him. "Can't i just take the future queen out for dinner." sylvain said with a grin.

"There's no guarantee that will happen…and besides we both know you wouldn't invite a girl to dinner unless it was a date. So what's the true reason sylvain. Don't lie to me." i said.

"Ok. you got me. I have a favor to ask. There's thieves in my family's territory. I was wondering if you'd help me drive them off. You remember the leader we fought at conand tower right?" sylvain asked.

"Yeah…i'm sorry i couldn't save him." i said. Guilt eating away at me.

"Hey hey hey! I'm not blaming you. And because of that i was able to open my eyes to ingrid's feelings. When i was being a dense jerk to her for so long. But the past isn't important right now. What is important is what was left of his gang are the ones causing trouble. My father has asked me to come home. And put down those murderous jerks." sylvain said.

"Wait. alone? No knights? No backup?" i asked.

"Yeah. crazy right?" sylvain asked.

"Fine. i'll go talk to the others about your little problem. At the very least. Dimitri felix and especially ingrid will help us out. No way those three will let you get cut open by thieves." i said.

"Thanks athro." sylvain said.

"You still owe me dinner sylvain. And i'm ordering lobster." i said with a grin.

"Go easy on me please." sylvain said. I giggled.

After the battle.

"Athro. Thank you for your help." sylvain said.

"You're welcome. Also I was joking about the lobster. There was no way i was gonna let my brother die." i said with a smile.

"Brother? What's that about?" Sylvain asked.

"...before i met all of you. I was alone. Utterly alone…in a land where nobody wanted me. Anyone who cared about me was in the grave. The only thing I had was revenge against the one who took everything from me…i was planning on taking my own life once i killed her…but then i met dimitri. Who led me to you ingrid and felix. And the rest of the blue lions…you guys are my reason to keep living…my…family." i said. I can feel the tears going down my face.

"Athro…i'm sorry to hear what you went through. But know this. Don't end your life. Because all of us would sure as hell cry at your grave." i said.

"I know that…no matter what happens. I will protect all of you with my life. Thank you for giving me a reason to live." i said with a smile.

3rd person pov/ behind a pillar.

"Athro…" ingrid said. With tears going down her face. Unaware of the pain her friend…no. Her sister has suffered. "All of us…will always have your back." ingrid said. Vowing to always be there for the azure samurai. The girl who lost everything.

Athro pov/an ocean view.

I stumbled upon seteth and flayn arguing. Apparently something about her mothers grave.

"Athro! You've come just at the right time! Surely it must be fate that you arrived at my time of need!" flayn yelled.

"...are you pregnant? Who did seteth kill? And where are we burying the body?" i asked.

"N-no it's nothing like that! My dear brother is about to set forth on a most dangerous mission!" flayn yelled.

"So what is this dangerous mission?" i asked.

"The western church are attempting to seize sacred ground by force. Though they have a new bishop. It seems that radical faction has emerged to resist the new order." seteth said.

"And let me guess. You want my help to make sure seteth doesn't get an western church lance through the eye right?" i asked.

"You're one of the strongest swordsman i know. Please help us!" flayn yelled. Giving me the puppy dog eyes. I sighed.

"I can't say no to something so adorable. Alright let me gather my classmates. The more the merrier right?" i asked.

After the battle.

"Your help was most appreciated. I can only hope that the western church will see reason and abandoned this place." seteth said. I noticed flayn looking around. Like she wants to ask something but worried about the reaction.

"What's wrong flayn?" i asked.

"Athro. At the rite of rebirth. Shujinko managed to bring back sitri with his blood right?...can you…do the same?" flayn asked.

"Yeah. why?" i asked.

"Flayn. Don't tell me that!" seteth yelled.

"I want to see her again! I want to see mother again! I want her to hold me in her arms again! I never thought i would have that chance! But i do now…please athro. Bring back my mother…" flayn said. Tears streaming down her face.

"Alright…i'll turn your mother into my familiar…in exchange for a favor from both of you." i said.

"We'll do it!" flayn yelled.

"Are you sure you want to. My favor may consist of standing against rhea. Are you sure ready for that. To stand against the arch bishop?" i asked.

"You would ask us to join against you in rebelling against rhea. That's absurd! Why would we!" seteth yelled.

"Seteth…no. Cichol." i said. Cichol and cethleann looked at me in shock. "The crest system has lead to corruption. Unworthy scumbags having political power they shouldn't have. Leading to nothing but vileness and chaos. No surprise. Considering this whole system started with a bunch of scumbags who scalped your kind. Why did you rewrite them as heroes again?" i asked.

"How do you know all this?" cichol asked angry and confused.

"I told her. The one who brought all of you into being. I am your mother sothis. And you will aid this one natsu and shujinko. No matter what seiros said. What they do is my will." sothis said through my mouth.

"Warn me next time your gonna do that! That freaked me the hell out!" i yelled.

"Unbelievable." cichol said.

"To think. You three have been guided by the goddess…but will she really be accepting of someone opposing her daughter?" cethleann asked.

"She does when she goes against her wishes and has her head buried in the sand to the suffering to the world. There's a reason we keep calling her mama's girl. You know that thing about her trying to revive sothis? She hasn't given up on it. And she's willing to do anything to get that. Including killing byleth." i said.

"What do you mean?" cichol asked. I explained what would happen at the holy tomb. About how seiros would trick byleth into sitting on a throne that would cause sothis to overwrite byleth's soul. Needless to say. They were shocked.

"So you haven't given up on that seiros? Unbelievable." cichol said as he shook his head in disapproval.

"But i don't want to fight seiros. I don't want to fight my family." cethleann said.

"Hopefully you won't have to. Go against her is a last resort. I don't want to fight her as much as you do. I just want her to listen. But that's an incredibly difficult to task. She won't listen to her own adviser. It seems like the only person she'll listen too is the one she's trying to revive…luckily we already have a plan for that. One that doesn't involve destroying byleths soul. So…we promise a brighter future for you two willing to put your faith in us?" i asked.

"I will…you three have done so much good for everyone. You saved so many people…made so many smile. So yes. I'll put my faith in you." cethleann said.

"...i truly believe what your trying to do is impossible…but as seen with sitri…the impossible is possible with you three…i might regret this…but i'll put my faith in you as well." cichol said with a smile.

"Alright. First thing. Digging up your mother." i said. After digging up the grave. I saw a woman with long green hair and pointy ears. Just like sitri. There was absolutely no signs of rot. Despite being buried for a while. I opened her mouth. Cut the palm of my hand and let my blood fly into her mouth. And soon a red glow appeared and a red marking appeared on her right cheek. Going down her neck. And soon she took a deep breath. And soon looked around in confusion.

"Mother!" she ran and hugged her daughter. Crying as she held her close.

"Cethleann…how've you grown." the woman said. As cichol could only look in disbelief. Like this was a dream.

"Astraea…" cichol said with disbelief.

"Cichol…it must be a miracle from the goddess. That i get to see you both again." astraea said with a bright radiant smile. That was cichol's breaking point. As he quickly ran to her. And hugged her. Tears streaming down his face. I smiled watching this heartful reunion. The image quickly turned into a small snow white haired girl being hugged by her parents…i turned away…to hide the tears going down my face…i looked up to the sky…mom? Dad? Are you two proud of me?

Rumored nuptials.

I see ingrid sighing to herself.

"What's wrong ingrid?" i asked.

"Yeah. i've never heard you sigh like that." dorothea said as she walked alongside natsu.

"Edelgard won't be happy about this natsu." i said with a grin.

"It's not like that. We just happen to be walking the same direction." natsu said.

"Oh hi dorothea. And hello natsu. Nothing's the matter. Well. nothing major." ingrid said.

"You don't look like nothing's major." dorothea said.

"You got another marriage proposal. Didn't you?" i asked.

"What?" natsu asked.

"House galatea has had some pretty rough times. So to regain some of it's former status. Ingrid's father has been trying to marry her off to a powerful suitor. The first suitor was glenn. But well…the tragedy of duscur happened…" i said. Everyone cringed at the mention of that awful day.

"Isn't ingrid now with sylvain? He's a part of a powerful house. His crest finally doing something good for him for once. And despite sylvains history of being a skirt chaser. He's actually being faithful to ingrid. Apparently this news hasn't reached the guy who sent the letter. Or count galatea." natsu said. Dorothea read the letter.

"I don't think he would care. The jerk." dorothea said.

"You know him?" I asked.

"Yes. he tried to court me when i was a singer. Best advice i can give you. Ingrid? Stay far far away from that guy." dorothea said.

"I take this guy is a vile piece of shit?" natsu asked.

"Hell yeah! This jerks entire fortune is soaked in blood. Do you want to rebuild your house with that kind of money?" dorothea asked.

"Innocent or guilty it won't matter. Ingrid already has a man she's planning to marry. Man she truly loves. One who has been with her all her life. And was there for her when she needed him most. Your not gonna give that up for this assholes money. Are you ingrid?" i asked.

"Hell no…" ingrid said with a confidant smirk.

"Atta girl. I'll go get the blue lions. Natsu you go get the black eagles." i said.

"A joint mission? Sweet!" natsu said with a grin.

After the battle.

Ingrid came back after a talk with your father.

"Ingrid. Welcome back! Did you speak with your father?" dorothea asked.

"I did. Just returned to the monastery." ingrid said.

"So about the suitor. What's going on with that?" natsu asked.

"As soon as i informed of the suitors unsavory tendencies. He rejected the proposal outright." ingrid said.

"Did you tell him about sylvain?" i asked.

"Indeed. And i have his blessing." ingrid with a smile.

"Atta girl. After all. Can't go wrong with man who's willing to defend you by sticking a hero's relic where the sun don't shine." i said with a grin.

"Can you not remind me of that? I'm gonna have nightmares about that." natsu said with a shutter. And I could tell he was clenching his cheeks.

"And speaking of hero's relics…." ingrid said. As she showed a spear that looks extremely close to spear made of metal. But the material it's made from still looks like it was made from bone.

"A hero's relic!" natsu yelled.

"Are you gonna shout that everytime you see one?" dorothea asked.

"Probably." nastu replied.

"This is the magic lance. Luin. it has been passed down for generations from within my family. My father and siblings have no way of using it. Since they bear no crest." ingrid said.

"You have luin. Sylvain has the lance of ruin. I can sense some awesome strategies for the blue lions in the future." i said with a grin.

"You're still gonna lose to me." natsu said with a grin.

"Shut up natsu!" i yelled. Everyone laughed.

"Natsu. Athro. Dorothea...Thank you." ingrid said.

"We couldn't just do nothing while you were facing a life of being married to a monster." dorothea said.

"Same here. We maybe of different houses. But we're still friends. And I always have my friends back." natsu said with a wink and a grin.

"Same here. Though i don't consider you a friend. I consider you a sister." i said with a smile.

"Yeah…thank you. See you in class…big sis." ingrid said.

"Don't say anything." i said. I saw the look in dorothea's eyes.

"Now what could you mean big sis athro?" dorothea asked. I sighed. I feel bad for natsu. He has to put up with this daily.

True chivalry.

"Athro. I need a favor." felix said as he approached me.

"Not calling me ice queen? This must be important." i said.

"My father has sent a messenger. He wants to return to fraldarius territory."

"Rodrigue? What could be happening that he can't handle alone?" i asked.

"You were there during the tragedy of duscur correct?" felix asked.

"How could i forget? So i take it that fraldarius territory has a bandit infestation." i asked.

"Yes. and my father says he needs my help driving them away." felix said.

"Alright. I'm in. anything for a friend." i said with a smile.

"Perhaps i shouldn't pull you into this..it stems from my family's failure to secure the region." felix said.

"Well then it's a failure on my part as well. Consider i think of you as my brother." i said as i walked by him. "Come on. This bandits aren't going to cut themselves." i said with a grin.

"...A brother huh?" felix asked. As he soon followed.

After the battle.

"We are grateful for your help. I doubt those bandits will stop any time soon. But at least this villiage is safe. This village was important to the late king. If we hadn't saved it. I wouldn't have been able to face his majesty." rodrigue said.

"How foolish." felix said with venom.

"Pardon?" Rodrigue asked.

"We were protecting your subjects. Not your ego. I don't give a damn as to whether or not you can bring yourself to face a dead king." felix said with anger.

"I will not tolerate such language from you." rodrigue said.

"I came here to hone my blade. And to save innocent people. I suppose if i had died. You would say the same thing after Glenn's death. "He died like a true knight." I have nothing more to say. I'm going back." felix said. He then walked away.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." rodrigue said.

"It's fine. I've dealt with it the past four years. I can understand how you both see things. I can tell your proud of glenn for sticking with his duty to the very end. Better to die in honor. Then to live a life of shame. But felix. He doesn't see it that way. He still believed glenn should have ran. He would still be alive if he did. That's why felix has grown such a hatred for chivalry. He thinks that you don't care about how glenn died. He fails to realize that some people don't grief by crying their eyes out. Some people grief through other extreme emotions. Like anger. Or trying to find happiness. Or in really extreme cases. Total emptiness. Those who are so afraid of the pain of emotions that they chose to feel nothing." i said.

"I see…your right. I do grieve for my son. But as you say. I've done it in silence. I guess felix didn't know. He mistook my silence for a lack of grief…i should have a talk with him about it.

"Can i…get something off my chest?" i asked.

"Why with me? Shouldn't it be with his highness?" rodrigue asked.

"It…involves glenn…you already know i was there. I saved dimitri from the one who caused it…but before that…i found glenn…burnt to a crisp but still alive." i said. Rodrigues eyes widened with shock. "With what little strength he had. He grabbed my leg and told me to protect dimitri. I agreed. And did the only thing i could have done for him…and put him out of his misery." i said.

"...maybe this is why felix is so bent on beating you…you carry on glenns torch." rodrigue said.

"You don't hate me? I killed your son." i said.

"You just did the most humane thing you could do. And i thank you for that. Now you carry his torch. My son's flame now burns within you…i will not forgive you if you break your promise to glenn." rodrigue said.

"I will not…the blue lions are my family…my reason to keep moving forward…which is why i will protect them with my life." i said.

"...go forth then…knight athro." rodrigue said with a smile. I smiled back…rest in peace glenn. I'll handle things from here on out.
