Cory & Topanga sit acrossed from each other in Chubbie's. Cory holds onto her hand on top of the table. They are waiting for thier check to arrive. Cory had thought that once he picked up Topanga and began their date that he would feel better but an hour later, their date's almost finished, he just has to drop her off home and yet he's still feeling that feeling from earlier.

His thoughts still on Shawn. Still wondering what he was up, too. Was Eric still with him? He thinks of what had happened just over an hour ago, that uncomfortable silence in the room, Eric sitting on the bed, Cory over towards the desk and Shawn caught in the middle, standing still between the bed & desk. No one saying a word to one another. It seemed to go on like that the whole time, until suddenly, Cory was out in the hallway, and Eric & Shawn were alone in the room together. Just the two of them.

Cory doesn't even recall what was said, if anything. But something must have happened. Cause Shawn stuck out in his head from the bedroom door.

"I want you to know that I'm glad you've forgiven me, Cor. You have no idea how awful I've been feeling, not being able to talk to you."

Cory blinks his eyes, and turns to Shawn. "Yeah, I'm glad we could all work it out. I've got to go, I've got to pick up Topanga. We're dating again, you know?"

Shawn's smile disappears for a split second, before Cory could even take notice, Shawn was smiling once again.

"I know, I'm glad you two are back together. You two are made for each other, Cory. Don't let her get away from you, again." Shawn slaps Cory's shoulder before turning around and slowly closing the door.

Cory smiles slightly. "I thought we were made for each other?"

Cory had to get over it, he had told Eric that it was okay, practially begged him to go out with him. And yet, he can't stop thinking of them, and the silent disapproval he still feels. No matter how much he tries to push it down, and to think of Eric and Shawn's feelings towards the sitation. He can't help but be selfish, Shawn was his. Not Eric's.

Topanga quickly noticed Cory's uninvolvement in their date. "Cory, do you find me boring, tonight?"

Cory looks at her, "No, I." He lets go of her hand, and gets up so that he can take a seat down beside her. He places his hands around her shoulders.

"I'm sorry I'm not much fun, tonight."

"You've barely said a thing, Cory."

Cory grabs her hands, gently.

"I don't know why but I'm just not sure what to talk about, I think I'm just not used to us being back together, again. It was so quick, us getting back together."

"It was, I was surprised. Do you have second thoughts?" Topanga whispers, her eyes showing her nervousness.

Cory pulls her into a sudden hug. His arms around her waist.

"No, no second thoughts."

"Then what's wrong?" Topagna pulls Cory's arms away from her.

Cory knew what was wrong, he had lied, said he was alright with it, but he wasn't, he wasn't all right with any of it. He felt it so strongly, he could almost go back home right now, and tell Eric to dump Shawn.

But he couldn't do that, because he knew how much hurt it would cause the both of them. And he loves them both, it just seems like no one understands it from his point of view. And though, they might be okay with it, feeling good and settled. He feels ripped apart.

"Cory..."

"Have you ever felt like there were two chooses to make. And no matter which ever choose you chose, you just felt like something bad was going to happen, regardless. Or that you had two different feelings that you're feeling at the exact same time. Like feeling happy but sad, too?"

"Yeah, I supposse. Do you feel like that?"

"I do, but I can't really explain it to you. I'm sorry. Let's just go."

Cory gets up, "I'll go pay for the food."

Topanga sits confused. She quickly gets up and Cory grabs her arm, gently.

Cory waits for Topanga to bid good night with a kiss. But she surprises him when she grabs him into a hug.

"I think I understand, Cory. You feel scared with us getting back together, again. You said it yourself, we got back together, too quickly. Perhaps, we did. I don't want us to hurt each other, anymore then you do. I know our break up was rough on you. It wasn't easy for me, either. So, maybe we just need to give each other space, be friends again."

Cory stood, stunned. Was she breaking up with him, only after one date back together?

Topanga pulled him into a quick kiss on the cheek. "Good night, Cory."

Cory watched her turn around, and head indoors. He could not believe it.

Now, here he was alone. He had no Topanga, no Shawn. Who did he have?

Cory pulled his jacket around himself. The pain was even more intense, now.

What was he going to do?
