CHAPTER TWO

" So, how was it? " Rylai asked as they were riding the elevator, ascending back to the CEO floor.

The elevator was ascending but none of the occupants are feeling it, due to almost everyday routine of riding the elevator. The view of the transparent lift allows them to look below and beyond, wherever their eyes can reach and for the emerald eyed woman it seems that she is still trying to reach the farthest end of the scene before her, as if not convinced that the view that she is seeing is the farthest that her eyes can go, her brows a little furrowed and for someone who wears her emotions on her sleeves, it does not require a genius to know that she is deep in her thoughts.

" Natsuki? " a soft voice whispered followed by a hand on her left arm shook the emerald eye from her thoughts.

The said woman blinked twice and looked at the woman on her left who was looking at her with worried eyes. The hand on her arm gripped her a little tighter, afraid that the woman was again lost in her thoughts, not until a small smile played on the womans face did she realize that she was noticed.

" I'm sorry. I was.. just thinking " the bluenette said as she averted her eyes from the raven haired beauty to the scene in front of her again.

" Well, that's new. " the red-head said, who was on the farthest end, followed by a snicker. The bluenette then looked at her with her left brow raised. " You, DO NOT think. " followed by a smirk.

" Well, my friend, ever dearest, Nao... " the bluenette started sweetly, which earned her a frown from Nao. " since you're around, I HAVE to think. One of us needs to do that, ya know? "

" Har har har " Nao said with a mocking laugh.

Natsuki then brought her attention back to Rylai. " I'm fine, don't worry, ok? " she assured her, then touched the hand that was still on her arm. " I was able to handle it. I guess it went well. wouldn't you agree? " she said to both the applicants with her.

" I guess. " Rylai said...

" Hhmmm... " Nao then said, followed by a nod, she then smirked, " I have to say, watching you guys was tooootally fun! "

" Yeah...? " Natsuki then asked with a smirk on her.

" Oh yeah! " Nao answered, wiggling her eyebrows as if suggesting something.

DING! Followed by the elevator opening and the occupants walking out. A small smile was on the bluenettes lips as she unconsciously ran the events back in her head.

+++++ An hour earlier +++++

" Welcome! " A well dressed man said as he opened the door for the guest. " Table for six? " he asked, and was given confirmation.

They were then escorted to the farthest end of the restaurant giving them privacy. The menu was laid out and they took turns in giving their orders.

" Please, order whatever you want. I'ts on the mutt's " Nao said who then looked at Natsuki and laughed.

" Seriously though, please do order what you want. I'ts the least that I can do for showing up so late " Natsuki gave them a warm smile and fixed her eyes on Shizuru who was looking at the beverage menu and then who looked at her too.

" Well, don't blame me if this table gets full and you max out your card " Haruka said with a gruff.

" I don't mind. " Natsuki looked at her and gave her a grin.

" Good! Now, what am I gonna be having today... " Haruka trailed off as she was looking on the menu.

" Are you ladies ready to order? " a lovely brunette said, while looking at them.

Haruka gave out her orders first since the others are not yet decided. After a while, Yukino gave her's and followed by the others.

" Excuse me.. " the crimson beauty called out to the waitress. " if you don't mind, can you please serve the tea that I have ordered? " she then requested nicely with a smile.

" Oh.. I mean sure! " the waitress answered as she was caught off guard by the beauty before her and went to get the tea that was requested.

" Damn! " Haruka then said and all eyes were on her. " I bet that waitress went to LaLa Land for a few seconds. Nice one, bubuzuke! "

" Ara, I don't think I know what you're talking about, Haruka-san " the crimson beauty answered with an innocent smile on her.

A laugh caught their attention as they all looked at Natsuki who was sitting in front of Haruka. Rylai was leaning on Natsuki since she was in between Natsuki and Nao. The bluenette was holding out her phone from a very flustered Rylai who was trying to grab the phone from the bluenette.

" Seriously, Natsuki! " Rylai then demanded with her hand out for the phone.

" What? " Natsuki then challenged.

" Give me the phone. Now. " Rylai demanded seriously.

" Geeeezzz. People, get a room or something already! " Nao suddenly then spoked, annoyed at the fact that their CEO and The Secretary where acting like kids in public.

" Oohhh... someone's jealous. " The bluenette then tauntered the redhead.

" Wha the Fu- " Nao blurted out angrily but stopped in the middle, looking suddenly scared.

" Nao, language. " the raven haired said while looking at Nao with Continue-That-And-I-Will-Make-Sure-You-Regret-It look.

Nao then looked away with her arms folded and Natsuki was then seated properly with a pout as Rylai grabbed the phone from her. " I swear, I'm like a baby sitter, not a secretary at all with these two. " Rylai blurted out while putting the phone back in her bag.

" Sorry about that. These two can be very handful sometimes and I can't handle them. " Rylai said with a smile as she looked at their three guest sitting across them.

" Sounds fun to me, though " Yukino commented with a giggle. " I can say that I definitely know where you're coming from."

" Oh, I would love to hear your story. " Rylai answered, her tone with interest.

" Your tea, Miss..? " the waitress came back and their attention was shifted on her.

A slender brow went up as she was watching the interaction. ' She's acting like a school girl who saw her crush. ' Natsuki thought.

" Your orders will be up in three to five minutes. " she mentioned before walking back to the kitchen with her cheeks all red as she got another " Thank You " from the tea drinker.

" This is so good. " Shizuru said as she took a sip from her tea.

" They're the best, actually. " Natsuki then said to her with her elbow on the table and her hand cradling her face while looking at her... or more likely staring at her. " That's why I decided to bring you guys here. Good food, good tea. " she smiled at her.

" I have to say, this tea is very delicious and smells so good as well. Thank you for bringing us her, I will make sure to visit this place again. " Shizuru said as she was looking at Natsuki, not missing the smile directed at her and she countered back with her own smile, them staring for few seconds more, before Shizuru decided to close her eyes and took another sip. She can still feel Natsuki's eyes on her, making her smile while she was drinking.

The lunch went well with occasional bantering from both sides and some serious business going on. But occasional glances are also happening, small smile being sent and grins being showed. Even if they were a couple of seats apart, it didn't seem to matter since their eyes seems to know when the other one is looking or staring and when to stare back.

" Totally fun, definitely. " Natsuki said with a smile on her lips as she remembered the lunch earlier.
