Chapter 42:
Everyone stood completely still as Kaguya floated before them, her hair still holding on tight to Naruto and Sasuke.
Nobody dared to move, waiting in held breath for what her next would be.
Kaguya then threw both of them into the ground, immediately chasing them with her locks of steel, drilling holes on the ground, making an example of what can be of them when her attacks reach them.
Misaki formed threads from her chakra, reminiscent of Kaede's technique and began slicing through Kaguya's hair giving Sasuke the chance to advance towards Kaguya with chidori on the palm of his hand.
This only resulted in Sasuke being thrown back along with Naruto farther back, Misaki barely escaping using the flying thunder god disappearing from their sights.
Sakura froze as Kaguya made her way past them, not at all bothered with their presence, as it is, Kaguya barely considered them as threats.
Kakashi took advantage of Kaguya's fixation on his two male students to look back at Obito. Beside him, Misaki was already checking on him.
Misaki took the time of her escape to check on Obito, she might have yet to forgive him for being the harbinger of their family's separation and eventual death of her parents, but he means something to her parents, to her now acting father and Naruto, besides she still owes him for putting his neck on the line to save Naruto.
"I'm not as good as Kaede-kachan or Kazumi or Sakura, but I know a thing or two about healing techniques to transfer a bit of chakra to you" Misaki said, pressing the palms of her hands on his chest. She barely just started when each and every fiber of her being vibrated in a rush until heat surrounded her.
Thick suffocating heat and suddenly the two of them were falling.
Is that lava, is this even real?!
"Misaki!" Kakashi's voice cut her from her thoughts, and with mere seconds before plunging into the lava Misaki willed her chains upwards, and into the stones above them before extending the same chains around Obito.
Misaki breath a sigh of relief to see everyone accounted for and not burning in the sea of molten lava beneath them. Giving Naruto an okay sign to assure him she was fine. Misaki's eyes drifted to Kaguya, looking out into something far beyond them, she began to wonder if she can send them to a whole new dimension at will, what other things await them in the palm of her hand.
Just how much more is she capable of doing…
Misaki and Obito were the farthest from Naruto and Sasuke, she couldn't hear much of what they were talking about but the two of them looked solemn.
Suddenly they were startled with Sakura's yell, the scroll holding both her and Kakashi up went into flames, prompting Naruto to act on his instinct and grab them using his bijuu chakra.
"Watch out!" Misaki warned as Kaguya took their distraction as an opening using her locks to release needle sharp weapons towards the group. Sasuke was quick to create a barrier with his susanoo, but several still managed to hit them, specifically Sasuke's arm and the hawk keeping them up.
"NO!"

Minato watched as Madara's black orbs began to wisp away from his cloak. Panting he sat up straight, his mind racing with thoughts about his children and their well being.
Naruto…Misaki, I have to try…
The image of Misaki dangled behind Madara like a charm and Naruto, unmoving with Sakura's hand manually pumping his heart for him.

"Naruto you can…levitate" Kakashi asked and equally shocked Naruto holding them up.
Thanking Kami for small miracles, Misaki sighed as Naruto floated towards her.
"Misaki, take care of Kakashi-sensei and Sakura-chan for me" Misaki nodded silently and conjured her chains around the two. Naruto nodded at Misaki before placing his hand on Obito's chest, reminiscent of what a medical-nin would do.
Misaki watched as Naruto moved forward with Sasuke, it pains her to admit but as it is they will be more of a bother than anything else if they tried to back them up. Not helping is the greatest help they can offer the two of them.
"Rikodo's chakra, you act triumphantly just because you have a special accoutrement, however, what kind of chakra, all chakra belongs to me and me alone." Kaguya belittled.
"Once more, I shall reunify all of chakra!" Kaguya advanced towards two reincarnations of her own grandsons.
One attack, just one attack and the volcano they were in began to shake with them, the aftershock of the impact strong enough to push the away if Misaki had not shielded them with her chakra.
Their fight didn't let up after that ridiculous display of power, one after the other, the four of them became the receiving end of the aftershocks of their collision.
But the progenitor of chakra seemed too much even for the two reincarnations of the sons of the rikodo-sennin as she left Sasuke falling to a boiling faith and Naruto spiraling away, out of control, saved by the gifts Hagoromo gave them.
The cave of molten fire and earth became thick with black smoke, and as the two recovered from their initial encounter, Kaguya was already at their backs.
"NARUTO SASUKE!" Misaki called out a second too late, Kaguya had already taken a hold of them. Gentle hands lay on their chins, making them look up at her, almost like a loving mother memorizing the face of her grandchildren, contrasting the nerve wracking fear that came with her approach. Tears, pouring from her pale eyes.
Love and hate were after all two sides of a coin. No one hates more than those who once loved. Misaki thought as she closed her eyes, letting her senses take over her.
The shadows of her sleeves coming to life on their own, latching on to their bodies, like a sadistic parasite. Black Zetsu has occupied their bodies.
"Hagoromo, Hamura, I-detest you, you are mine!" Kaguya said, ending Black Zetsu's story.
"My role is almost over, you will return with me to join our mother" Black Zetsu informed his two hosts.
Inside Naruto's subconscious Black Zetsu toiled to steal his chakra, the dark hallways of Naruto's mind, suddenly began growing narrower and narrower until he met a dead end, tracing back his steps, a railed fence stopped him in his tracks.
And another side
And another
Until the last one fully captured him.
"I didn't let you consume Obito, there is no way I will let you hurt my brother" the ghostly silhouette of red approached him, from below his cell golden chains wrapped around his limbs, over and over again wrapping him reminiscent of Kaguya's cocoons
"Let's see how you like that" Misaki taunted, the last thing black zetsu saw inside Naruto's mind was a smile on the red head's face.
Eerie and kind.
Simultaneously Naruto in physical form Naruto broke away from Black Zetsu.
"You two aren't, you two alone aren't the entirety of shinobi history! Besides, moms are supposed to be happy about their kids leaving the nest, that's what being a mom means!" He yelled freeing Sasuke from Black Zetsu as well.
"How's it going on out there?" Kakashi asked, watching the contact between their team and their enemy.
"They manage to break free from Black Zetsu, looks like right now they're just staring each other down," Sakura answered.
"This is an entirely different scale, it's as if she's almost like-"
"A god" Misaki finished for him, giving him a wistful smile, she looked calm and almost relaxed, yet the palm of her hands bleed, her nails digging in with her clenched fists.
"How do they plan to fight someone like that" Sakura voiced her concerns, even Misaki who is usually calm even in the most difficult fight is on the edge.
"It's Naruto, you can bet that he is going to give it his all" Misaki reassured.
"They've made a move!" Sakura announced, as Sasuke used his eye to wield Amaterasu against Kaguya. The attack was easily nullified by Kaguya leaving Naruto to make his move, hs timing was excellent, creating multiple shadow clones, he lunged at Kaguya and in a puff of smoke he created….
Multiple naked handsome men…
"Sexy Jutsu : Reverse Harem Jutsu!" In an instant, Misaki's face was as red as her hair and she was too stunned to process what just happened.
"Naruto you idiot! Using a jutsu like that in a situation like this!" this might work on me but there's no way that jutsu will work on someone so god-like!' Sakura burst.
Kakashi sweat dropped and by instinct covered his pseudo-daughter's eyes, world ending or not, Kaede will kill him if she finds out that Misaki saw a bunch of naked men and he allowed it.
The surprise doesn't end there as Naruto's original reached Kaguya and gave her a powerful clean jab.
It worked! Whether it was from shock or lack of blood, Sakura fainted right there and there. Kakashi looked at the pink haired girl dangling from Misaki's chains.
Sakura you never change, Kakashi thought then removed his hands off of Misaki, remained red and frozen.
Well this is a new side to her, so rarely caught off guard.
"This the history of shinobi ya know!" Naruto yelled at Kaguya.
The number 1 most unpredictable shinobi, don't tell me Naruto's sexy jutsu is going to save the world Kakashi thought recalling a conversation he had with the sannin Jiraiya.
"Now Naruto!" Directly parallel to each other, the two reached out towards each other and while Kaguya was midair, Sasuke transported her to the space between them.
Anticipation was high, everything seemed so certain, yet the lingering thought that everything can also change in a split second hung in the air.
Nobody dare blink their eyes, in fear of missing something…
Nobody blinked, yet they found themselves removed from the red hot atmosphere of the volcano and falling on an icy cold floor..
"What happened!" Sakura exclaimed looking around, the isolated mountains, soft snow falling contrasting the harsh cold wind.
"This place, did we shift dimensions again?" Kakashi looked around
"Whose effects are we seeing?" Sakura asked,
"It's no different from when we were previously sent into the lava world" Misaki answered retracting her hold from everyone.
"There is no mistaking this is our enemy's ability, to be able to rewrite the world in an instant and make it reality, this really is like a genjutsu" Kakashi confirmed, while the two were catching their bearings, Misaki laid Obito to rest upon the walls, removing her haori to cover him from the cold. Since Naruto laid his hand upon Obito, he has recovered rapidly.
"An ice world this time, on what principle?" Sakura asked.
"My guess is this is the kind of environment that benefits her the most, considering their last encounter" Misaki stood beside the two.
"Where do you think they are now? Is it possible we're the only ones who were brought to this world?" Sakura asked the shorter woman.
"No, I can feel they are here, I'm going to find them" Misaki said.
"You can't go out there by yourself! You know what Kaguya is capable of!" Sakura grabbed Misaki's forearm.
"We need to reach them, and I'm the only one who can track them" Misaki explained, but Sakura didn't let up, Misaki might be fast, but when it comes to strength Sakura has her beat.
"She is right, if anything bad happens, Misaki has the highest chance of returning as she is the fastest and she can also use teleportation jutsu" Kakashi placed his hand on top of Sakura to free her hold of Misaki.
"Here, when Obito wakes, up, use this" Misaki gave Kakashi a flying thunder god kunai from Minato, only this time the inscription was modified.
"I modified it so with a bit of chakra it would take you to the other pair" Misaki said holding up the twin blade.
"I'll see you later" Misaki smiled, as she saluted the two, by the time her salute's fell, she was already gone.

Before they can make contact with Kaguya's body, something hard and cold encased their body, nad before they even knew it, Kaguya had shifted dimensions once again, this time trapping them in a huge block of ice. Doing everything that they can, they tried to break free of the ice as hard and as fast as they can given their current predicament, willing themselves to go faster as Kaguya approached them undisturbed.
A powerful bolts of golden thunder rained from the skies forcing Kaguya to move backwards to avoid it, the ends of her clothes catching the brunt of the attacks.
Before snow and smoke can settle, Naruto and Sasuke found themselves out of the ice and on the ground in front of Kaguya, behind them Misaki approached them with a smile.
"I couldn't stand by and let you two have all the fun" Msiaki jested standing between Naruto and Sasuke.
"Thank you Misaki, Sasuke, sorry, the sexy jutsu didn't work,"
"I never really expected that kind of technique to work, this time we'll go with my strategy, help me out" Misaki couldn't help the sincere smile forming on her lips at the two's interaction.
"You two just keep on going, I got your backs" Her chakra chains already protruding from the ground ready to move at her will.
"Ka-san this is getting annoying why don't we just split them up already and take on them separately" Black Zetsu suggested in the shadows of Kaguya's sleeves.
All three of them flinched when Kaguya opened yet another portal beside her, this time only her hands passed.
Sasuke felt his breath knocked from his lungs as he was yanked backwards.
"Sasuke!" Naruto exclaimed, Misaki who was closer to her managed to get a hold of him.
Only to be pulled along.
They landed sided by side, Sasuke on his back and Misaki on all fours on a dry…desert?
"What the hell"
"Where are we"
"Sasuke! Misaki!" Naruto's voice called to them as he tried to keep the portal open with no fruition. Not even standing up from where she knelt Misaki drew the the other half of the kunai she gave Kakashi as quick as she can and tossed it across the portal.
"Watch out!" Naruto barely registered Misaki's warning, the kunai hair's breath away from grazing his cheeks.
"Damn" Naruto cursed where the portal once stood before turning to pick up the item Misaki threw at him, as his skin made contact with the inscription on the handle, he knew where Kakashi and the others were.

Sooo, this was intentionally supposed to be the other half of the previous chapter, its just that it kinda didn't feel right to reveal Kaguya and not end there, her prowess deserves a whole chapter. To be very completely honest when I conceptualized Sasuke and Misaki's landing, I envisioned the romantic cliche of Misaki landing on top of Sasuke, but taking into consideration the angle of which Misaki reached out to him, and the fact that Misaki held on to Sasuke's left hand with her left hand just didn't make sense for her to land on top of him. Besides, they both needed to respond to the threat and thus wasting a cute romantic cliche, overall it just didn't fit the situational framework. But worry not, because next chapter will be less of an action and more Misaki and Sasuke, so be warned.. I am so excited and nervous at the same time.
