On the way to where he had found Pitch's lair, Nyfe told him about the attack on Easter, about what transpired, much to Jack's horror. He realized in that time that Pitch seemed to be smarter now, planning every move the Guardians would have made. Manny however was wiser, keeping Jack and Nyfe as a trump card.

The Frost Pixie realized that this was a long shot, Tsar Lunar and Story had been planning to attempt to take out Pitch, by saving the only one person who truly could destroy Pitch. Well, what remained of Nightlight anyway. Jack remembered, as Nightlight, that he sacrificed himself to save the only love of his life, Katherine, who went on to have a young girl by the name of Mary Overland, who became his adopted sister.

As he sped towards his destination, he grimaced. The Frost Pixie realized that Story had probably been following Tsar Lunar's plan and allowed Jack to live his life, while keeping Nyfe who was the magical remains of Nightlight, protected and hidden. The pieces were revealed in this chess game Pitch had set up. He was determined to be the piece that would change the game, as he saw Manny shining through a gap in the clouds. And that was when an idea came to him.

Jack Frost in his time alone, had learned over time, about of the Children of Legend. Or as Story called them, the Children of Chaos. Story had told him about them, as in time Jack was going to meet them. There were thirteen children, Story informed Jack. Each made the world what it was. Each Jack learned, were the only ones in existence. And the Pixie King made it clear that only one child existed, that this meant that if there were multiverses, there was still only one Child of Chaos for all of them. No multiples. It left Jack with a headache as he tried to understand it. But he soon came to realize just what Story meant.

The first Child of Legend he remembered meeting was Crow.

He remembered had seen her right after he fell through the ice. She had suddenly appeared in the icy waters with him and when she smiled at him, he remembered that he wasn't afraid. Jack had crossed paths with her many other times, but the only time she ever spoke to him was the first meeting. The other times, she had always been busy with her work, as the Reaper. But she always smiled at him, she never spoke to him. He had learned of her name from Story. And he found himself awed and yet repelled by her.

Crow always appeared as a child, but her features were different each time. However her eyes remained the same, entirely black and with no white showing. Like her entire eyes were black. It unnerved him and in each meeting, he tried to not look at her eyes. but she seemed kind and yet there was something haunting about her and terrifying.

The second Child of Legend he encountered, was Tien Ling. Or as Story called him, the Great Dragon.

Jack quickly discovered, after becoming a Guardian, that Tien was the bringer of Life and all things new. The Frost Spirit had been invited, after becoming the Winter Spirit, to join a grand party to celebrate the New Year. And not one to turn down a great thing, Jack had went.

He remembered his first time, watching a strange male step onto the top of the tallest building, and everyone looked up at him. Jack remembered being awed at the site of him, as he was tall. Dressed in white, with silver hair, Jack watched as everyone started counting down after the figure rose his hands into the air. The Winter Spirit noticed that the male smiled before he looked at the sky and it was then that Jack noticed a white tail.

As everyone still counted down, Jack had to join and helped finish with the last three numbers. As everyone shouted out one, the Frost Spirit watched as the figure brought his hands down and the area exploded in a bright light. Jack turned away for a moment, but when he looked back up, he saw a huge white and silver Chinese Dragon. It seemed to fill the sky, it was so big. Jack smiled as the entire party celebrating the New Year, cheered and fireworks were set off.

True to the invitation, it was the best celebration that he had been to. The Great Dragon Ling had participated in the festivities and gave everyone a reason to celebrate. Jack Frost had never seen Tien before, and the Dragon was wonderful to watch as he brought in the New Year. The years after, Jack tried to get closer and closer to seeing the great dragon, until Story actually introduced him to Tien. At the time of the meeting, the Dragon was in the form of a tall creature that looked like an elf. Tien had long white hair that almost went down to his feet, and pure white skin to match. However he was dressed in an old style red and gold Chinese outfit. Jack was very speechless during this meeting, by the grand Dragon's aura. And the Grand Dragon had iridescent eyes that seemed like it changed colors to that of the rainbow. Jack found himself awed, and Tien seemed to be very understanding, and wise.

The third Child of Legend, Jack encountered was Jynx, or the Prince of Cheshire.

Jynx, was a creature that people considered a werecat. He had purple and blue striped fur, and a tail, and golden eyes that seemed to twinkle with mischief. He only met Jynx once, and the werecat was wearing colonial style clothes at that time, which was fifty years behind the current style, Jack noted. He had heard about the creature from Story, Jynx always claimed to be the Prince of Cheshire, a place that he ruled, but never specified if it was a world or a place in a world.

True to what Story had told him, the Werecat was as crazy as a loon. The creature would ramble on about other worlds, one in which he ruled the entire world, and other things that the boy couldn't fathom. After about a minute of listening to Jynx, Jack Frost quickly found an excuse to leave. He never met the Werecat after that, but heard many other people who crossed paths with the insane Prince.

The forth turned out to be Torch.

Torch was someone he met upon the annual meeting of the seasonals, which always happened every leap year. It was the only day that the Seasonals powers were at their weakest and the best time to meet and plan for the next four years. The Fire Spirit was the eldest of the four, and yet seemed to be the most vague. Torch had firey red and orange hair and always had a fox mask on his head. His clothes always changed with his mood, but the ruby eyes remained permanent.

Jack learning in time that due to an accident, Torch was merged with Kiren, the Child of Fate. The Summer Seasonal was the only one who existed in all the multiverses and yet was one. It baffled the Winter Spirit, but Jack accepted the fact that Torch had the uncanny ability to always be right- most of the time. He always seemed to predict the future, or seemed to try to create the future. He learned to stay alert around Torch, as there would be times in which the Summer Spirit would randomly spout out with something that was useful, or would just zone out, as if his mind was elsewhere.

Then the fifth Jack had really only heard about. His name was Quetzalcoatl. Rumored to have feathers all over his body, very much like Tooth, and huge wings. Jack wanted to meet the Legend of Force, as he learned that Quetzalcoatl was the true force behind Mother Nature. That he was the exact opposite of her. Where she made order, appointing the Seasonal Spirits to keep the balance, Quetzalcoatl made the unexpected storms and freak happenings. Jack, in trying to control a snow storm he had created, had felt a vortex form in his storm. It was suddenly ripped from his control and he quickly worked grabbing the control back. As he did, Jack saw a brief glimpse of blue, gold and green feathers as the culprit vanished. It wasn't enough, but as the Mother Nature informed him, he just missed actually seeing the wild child of Force. He was told to never mention the creature again.

And Jack knew that he needed their help, if he was to defeat Pitch and save his friend. The Frost Spirit knew that if he didn't attempt to seek their aid, he'd lose his friend. He let Nyfe know of his plan and the Pixie suggested they find Jynx, as the Werecat could actually change events. And then visit Tien and Crow, they could help too, the Frost Spirit was was informed. Jack took the advice and decided vocally, to ask the first one they found.

After about an hour, Jack felt a tug on his hoodie and saw Nyfe pointing at something below. He quickly made a detour, diving down and soon saw a white form. His eyes widened as he realized it was Tien, the Great dragon. Jack landed nearby and hurried up to the Elfish form, bowing in respect, as Story had taught him by example.

"What do you want little one," Jack heard Tien speak. He noticed, like before, the Dragon spoke in a whisper and the Winter Spirit looked up.

"I need your help Great One," Jack said, feeling very tiny. "I need to find a way to help save Story, as I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen."

"Bad?"

"Well, it's a long story," Jack said sheepishly, as he glanced away. He looked back at Tien as he knew he had to do this. "But there's this bad guy who wants destroy my frien-"

"The Guardians?" Tien questioned, gently pushing to the meat of the explanation.

"Yeah," Jack said. "Pitch is trying to destroy the Guardians and I need to stop him and destroy him."

"Hmm," Tien said smiling. He gave the Frost Pixie a knowing look, as if he was talking to a child. "Young Pixie, you cannot destroy Pitch. He is the chosen of my sibling, and as such that spirit has a purpose. I can help you however, Little One. You can save your friends and Story, by doing the right things. That path you know in your heart. But your answers will not suddenly appear, you need to seek them, and before you do, you need to know who you are.

"I do," Jack said proudly. "I'm a Guardian."

"Yes, but Guardian of what, young one?"

Jack blinked owlishly and looked at the Dragon in a stunned silence.

Jack felt Nyfe tug at his hoodie once more and he realized that he needed to hurry. The Frost Spirit bowed again and started to back up, "Thank you Great One."

"You are welcome little Jack Frost," Jack heard as he turned and flew off. The farewell left Jack a little hopeful and he smiled as he felt glad to have his name said by someone as powerful as the Dragon.

He quickly flew to where he had accidently found Pitch's place. He retraced his steps and actions from Sophie's window, to find the hole to the lair. He had Nyfe and Baby Tooth with him, the pixie flying with him and Baby Tooth riding on his shoulder.

It was Nyfe who found the hole, lighting up in anticipation for the battle he knew was to come. Jack dove in after Nyfe, who lit the way and soon slowed as they got near. Nyfe hid in Jack's hoodie, as to hide his light, and the Frost Spirit creeped around the corner to see if Pitch was there. They discovered that he wasn't.

"Nyfe," Jack said, informing his partner. "It's safe, he's not here."

The Pixie shot out from his hiding place and Jack turned his attention to the cages that held the little Tooth Fairies. He quickly leapt from cage to cage, opening the doors that kept the little Fairies trapped, and at each door, he felt better and more like a hero.

"Alright!" Jack announce after he opened the last door. "Let's go!"

He then noticed that none of the Fairies had come out of the cages and a spike of fear shot through him. He looked around, and noticed that they weren't in the air at all.

"None of you can fly?" He asked realizing the full truth about being a Guardian. He then heard Baby Tooth chirp and felt a tug on his hoodie. He looked and saw Nyfe shooting down, toward a globe. On it was lights, and Jack realized it was a Belief Globe like one that North had. They were quickly going out all over the world and Nyfe was darting to each now extinguished light in despair. Things were not looking good, Jack thought. The thought crossed his mind, what would happen if all of the lights went out.

Meanwhile at the North Pole the Yetis were still getting the toy made and ready for Christmas, in the hopes that the good would prevail. However, North was in one of his meeting rooms with the other Guardians and trying to come up with a solution quickly, as the lights started going out.

North watched in horror as suddenly a fierce wind ripped through the workshop and with it black sand. At the top of the great globe, Pitch emerged and the Russian man saw a proud smile on the dark man's face.

"You're all free to go!" Pitch announced as if he now owned the place. "You won't be needing to make anymore Christmas gift this year. Or any more for that matter! And it's all thanks to me."

Pitch didn't have to look, he knew as his he could feel the power of fear was strong. And he was smug in his upcoming victory. He had planned and did all that he could to prepare for this day, and he was going to win. He could taste it.

"Oh look!" North heard Pitch say. "Look. Six children who believe in the Guardians with all their heart."

"Wait!" Pitch said, as he stepped on one of the lights. "No five!"

"Four, three, two!" North and the other Guardians saw the Boogeyman taunt, as he snuffed out the lights. "One!"

Pitch expected the last light to go out with the snap of his finger, but it refused. He felt it's refusal. he tried it again, and once more it refused him. The Boogeyman turned around and he glared at the last light. He then realized why it refused him. It was a light actually touched by Story, and one who had gotten a little bit of his power. This once needed a personal touch, Pitch decided as he sneered at it.

Back at Pitch's lair Jack also saw the last light, and he immediately knew who it was. Jamie Bennett.

Story had just arrived with his Pixies, to see Jack shooting out of the lair. The Guardian of Belief was tired, and weak. He felt each and every light go out, only to be replaced with fear. Story had felt his powers shift, with each light going out, and the darkness that had a hold on him was gaining strength. But deep inside there was still that hope that Jack would win.

"Hurry Jack," Story whispered to himself.

I am sorry for the long wait guys. Life and other things got in the way. But this will be finished.
