Where Ash is late in choosing his starter and ends up capturing a Clefairy. This story stems from the original idea that Clefairy would be the official pokemon mascot. What if Ash had started his journey with a Clefairy instead of a Pikachu? The story follows some events from the anime but has the presence of characters from other media, such as games and manga.

28. Interlude III

We have reached the end of the arc. An unexpected encounter, a theft, the appearance of a mysterious pokémon... What's next?

Meanwhile, in Pewter City...

"A tournament?" exclaimed the mayor of the city.

"In partnership with the Pewter City Museum. The winner will be rewarded with the right to revive a fossil Pokémon for themselves, as well as a large sum of money."

The man was reflective for a moment.

"What do I get from that?"

"Well, the tournament will attract a lot of tourists to the city, of course, as well as boosting the local economy with the presence of trainers from all over the region. Let's not forget that the election is close..."

"I'm convinced! You can start preparations for this tournament right away."

And so the preparations for the festivities began.

Orange, a clumsy boy who came from the orange islands to participate in the Kanto pokemon league.

Trevor, Ash's high school rival and nemesis.

Melissa, a mean and uptight girl who loves the pink color.

Jessie, James and Meowth, a group of troublemakers known for various crimes.
