"Something's wrong." Cole determines when after the allotted five minutes he'd been told was a normal amount of time for his girlfriend's files to be completely updated as the computer she was still connected with confirmed Frankie herself had yet to open her eyes or do anything to indicate the upload had finished.

"If there was the computer….." Sigourney starts to counter from her relocated spot in the kitchen helping Will dry the freshly cleaned dishes allowing only a few moments of 'alone time' between her android daughter and Cole.

"No. I mean there's something wrong with Frankie." Cole interrupts from his seated place across from his 'snoozing' girlfriend of an android.

Her eyes were doing that weird flittering thing behind her eyelids so he could only assume she'd fallen into 'sleep mode' while the files updated but when he'd tried to gently shake her shoulder once the update had finished she hadn't reacted only stayed in that odd status.

Immediately the rest of the house occupants well everyone who wasn't Cole that is crowed in around the still-running laptop.

"Oh no."

Cole doesn't like the panic in his sister's voice at the words let alone the words themselves, but he wasn't about to get up from his seat to check for himself what the problem was. "Come on Frankie, wake up." He whispered his free hand reaching out to tuck some loose strands of dark hair back behind his girlfriend's ear. "Just wake up." He coaxed.

"Mom, what's going on?" Jenny asked after a few swift keystrokes from the computer the only other sounds in the deathly quiet room. To Cole, it didn't even seem like the others were breathing as Sigourney hunted for an answer.

"WARPA." Sigourney sighs after what felt like years in the span of only a few short seconds.

"What?"

Even Dayton started at the honest growl of her brother's cracking whip-like snap of the question as Sigourney hastened to explain whilst Dayton's fingers take over in their rapped flying over the computer keys in an even deeper diving to stop the thing attempting to once again robe her of her best friend.

"I…I honestly don't know how but based on fragmented coding I'm guessing WARPA is still trying to access Frankie remotely where EGG failed but thanks to the updates Dayton added to her firewalls after the droid sync incident they aren't having much luck."

"Seriously even I know how childish the whole 'if we can't have her no one can' sicario is." Will sighed from behind his equally nervous wife and even Cole cracked a thin smile at the high five Jenny gives her sister's BFF at the praise.

"But." Cole prompts his hand tightening reflexively in Frankie's own as his gaze meets Sigourney's.

"But since they can't take her physically, they are trying to upload a kind of fragmented virus bomb to find some way for them to destroy her from the inside out if they can."

Cole paled at the very idea. "Oh no." he realized not needed the mother's next determination to know what had obviously started to happen.

"this virus found Frankie's 'dream files' and are corrupting them in an attempt to crash Frankie's systems."

"Okay, so what do we do? How do we help her?" Jenny demands as even more warning or error messages clitter the computer screen.

"It's too dangerous to disconnect her." Sigourney says noticing more than a few hands already reaching for the connection cable running to the port at the back of Frankie's neck.

"But if she's still connected then the virus is still active. Whoever this is, is still hurting her." Jenny argues struggling against the light yet restraining hold of her father's hand against her young shoulder. "I can't just sit back and let them whoever them are hurt my big sister especially not using her own worst nightmares against her like this."

"We've got bigger problems than that, actually." Dayton tells them before a loud and rapidly increasing rhythm fills the room.

"What is that?" Will questions.

"It's Frankie's heartbeat." Dayton announces.

"Her what?"

It looked as if Sigourney was on the verge of fainting at the news that not only was her android daughter experiencing human-like dreams but that she was also hiding the fact she now had a true human-level heartbeat.

"According to this it was activated—" Dayton pauses scrolling down a little to check the date.

"Say around the time the time of the school musical?" Cole offers a shy half-smile pulling his lips as his fingers smooth over Frankie's knuckles.

"Yeah, how'd you guess?" Dayton questioned as the truly mesmerizing sound grew even more erratic the longer the virus worked its deadly design.

Cole shakes his head now on his knees in front of an unaware Frankie Gaines. "Listen to me Frankie alright? I know you can hear me. You have to fight this." he lifts the hand he was still holding resting Frankie's hand palm flattened easily to rest against his own chest. "match this rhythm alright, Frankie can you do that?" pressing Frankie's palm a little closer against the source of his own heartbeat. "We need to keep your heart rate lowered so you don't go into I don't know computer crashing mode."

If everyone wasn't in shocked awe at the latest rounds of developments they would have at least chuckled at the comparison.

That was until a sudden spark from the plugged-in laptop's power cord caused every other light in the house to go out plunging the place into what passed for darkness in the middle of the day and reminding Sigourney of the very first time Frankie came online as the power slowly started to come back.

only this time her android daughter's "Hello Dr. Mom." in answer to the worried mother's nervous "Frankie?" once they notice the chair the android teen was sitting in was empty was anything but the soft curious greeting it had been then as they all stair in pained horror at Frankie's glowing red eyes as the virus fully takes hold.
