Recap
"I'll always need you Rei. Not as my guardian but as my friend."
-Rima
"It's not more of a job. It's more of expressing my talent. I've become a singer. We're going on this tour not just Utau but for me and Aarin as well. Him and I go by the names Do Re Mi and Arihiko."
-Rei
"Now we are going on this tour and we aren't going to accuse them (Rei and Aarin) because I know it's not them."
-Rima
Kusukusu: WE'RE IN AMERICA!
Rhythm: it will be so much fun!
Temari: We still need to be good. No goofing off
Rhythm: Lighten up Temari! It's a vacation
Temari: I guess I could...lighten up
Chapter 21 Evil Fast Food
*Rima's POV*
"This way everyone," Utau said. We all carried our luggage and followed her into a hotel. This place looked so different compared to Japan. Everyone seemed tan and blonde here. We saw a bunch of girls with Starbucks, and guys sagging their pants. Aarin explained to us that some guys thought it was cool but we didn't really understand.
"Utau Hoshina checking in," Utau said in perfect English. All of us knew basic English from school. I even knew how to have a conversation in the language but if you start to use big of fancy words then I would be lost.
"Yes, you're suite is ready for all thirteen of you," the lady behind the desk said. She gave us a bunch of key cards then pointed to the elevators.
"Have a great day," she said as half of us crammed into the elevator. Amu, Ikuto, Rei, Aarin, Nagi, and I decided to catch the next one. Utau, Kukai, Yaya, Kairi, Sanjo, Tadase, and Nade were cramped with all of them and their luggage. After a minute or two the next one opened up for us. Nagi managed to quickly grab my suitcase before me and take it in the elevator while I followed behind him.
"Nagi, you still have the boot on your foot. You shouldn't strain yourself," I scolded.
"I'm fine Rima, honestly. If it's too much for me then I'll let you know," he said.
"Nagi's a lot tougher than he looks," Aarin tried to assure me.
"I know but I don't want his vacation ruined because he pushed himself too hard," I said.
"You worry too much Rima. I promise I'm fine," he said then kissed my cheek. It seemed like forever till we reached the top. The very very very top floor. The elevator doors opened to a hallway but there was only one door down the hallway. What's the point of only having one room on a floor?
"Let's go in," Amu said. Ikuto unlocked the door. We walked in to see the others looking around. This place was huge. We walked into a giant living room.
"I call dibs on this room!" Yaya yelled from the hallway where the rooms are.
"I'll share with you Yaya," Rei said.
"Amu, Nade, and I can sleep in the main room. That bed is big enough to fit us all," Utau said.
"Sanjo gets her own room," Rei pointed out.
"I'll sleep on the other couch," Ikuto offered.
"That leaves three rooms left," Utau said.
"Wait! Rima is the only girl left," Rei pointed out.
"She and girly boy can always sleep in the same bed. It's not like they can do anything naughty with his foot in that thing," Ikuto said. My face turned red.
"IKUTO! Stop being a pervert!" Amu said.
"Aarin, pick a roomie," Rei said.
"Alright, rock, paper, scissors. Who ever gets the same as me gets to share a room with me," Aarin said. Tadase, Kairi, Aarin, and Kukai began their game.
"Kukai wins," Utau announced.
"Guess we're roommates," Tadase said to Kairi.
"I'm fine with it," Kairi said.
"Alright! Let's get our stuff in our rooms," Amu said.
It took us an hour to get settled in. I looked at the clock next to the bed.
"What!?"
"What's wrong Rima?" Nagi asked.
"It's six at night! It feels like it's midnight," I said.
" I know how you feel. It's called jet-lag. It's the feeling that it's a different time due to us traveling trough time zone," Nagi explained.
"I'm so exhausted," I said.
"Guys, we're thinking about going out for dinner," Rei said as she popped her head in the room.
"We'll be ready in a minute," Nagi said.
"Alright," she said and then left.
"This is really weird. I knew about different time zones but I didn't think it would be this big of a difference," I said.
"It's not that big of a difference. If you think about it, we were in the air for half a day," he pointed out.
"I didn't think about it," I said.
"Let's go get dinner," he said.
"This place is completely different from Japan," Amu said.
"I'm so excited!" Yaya cheered. We walked into a fast food place. It was really busy and loud. A guy ran into me nearly knocking me over.
"Watch it!" the guys sneered then walked away.
"What's his deal?" Rei asked.
"He was a jerk," Utau said.
"Welcome to America," Aarin said. We had Aarin order food for us. He was at home here and he knew how to get past the rude people. Sanjo and Rei went with him to help. The rest of us sat in booths. We ended up taking three for our whole group. Each of us would point out weird things here. We people watched so hard that you can tell we're not from here.
"There are some really heavy people here," Kukai stated.
"And the children are running around by themselves. Where are their parents," Utau said.
"It's really loud," Kairi said not looking up from his book. Of course he would bring a book on a vacation.
"It's not all bad. America is a great place," Nagi said.
"I agree with you brother," Nade said. I didn't see what was so great about this place. I was bumped into, it's really loud, and I'm really tired. I leaned on Nagi.
"Tired still?" he asked. I yawned as an answer. Nade put a hand to her mouth as she giggled.
"What's funny?" Tadase asked.
"Nothing. It's just that they are adorable," Nade said. Her and Tadase sat across from us.
"I don't know why but purple and blonde hair just seem to mix," I said looking at the two across from me. Tadase blushed when he understood what I meant. Nade looked at the boy next to her out of the corner of her eye. I almost missed it.
"Did you see that Rima?" Kusukusu whispered. I slightly nodded my head.
"Food is served. It's the best America has to offer," Aarin said.
"My stomach hurts," Amu said.
"Me too," I said.
"I feel sick," Yaya said.
"I do as well." Kairi said.
"Ugh," was all Tadase said.
"I guess they aren't used to all the crap that goes into our fast food," Aarin said.
"Good thing I ate a salad," Utau said.
"Me too," Rei agreed.
"I don't see the big deal. I've never eaten food from America and I'm fine," Kukai said.
"You're stomach is a black hole," Utau teased.
"Why doesn't Ikuto's stomach hurt?" Amu whined.
"I've traveled before so my stomach is used to it," Ikuto said.
"That applies to Nagihiko and me too. We've been to a bunch of different countries and we've tried the food there. Our stomachs are used to the greasy food of America," Nade said.
"And Sanjo-chan?" Yaya asked.
"This isn't my first time here and I also ate a salad," she explained. She searched her purse.
"I had a feeling this would happen so I prepared for it," she said as she dug medicine out of her purse. We took them and relaxed in the living room.
"How about we play a game?" Yaya asked.
"What game did you have in mind?" Kukai asked.
"I don't know," she admitted.
"My stomach still hurts. How are you better already?" Amu asked.
"Yaya eats tons of candy so her stomach probably heals faster," Kairi pointed out.
"I'm tired and my stomach hurts," I whined. Nagi wrapped his arm around my waist and held me close.
"It's only seven. If you go to sleep now then you'll be up really early in the morning," Rei pointed out.
"You're going to need energy. We meet the other band that we tour with tomorrow," Utau said.
"Other band?" Nade asked.
"Yes, their a band called 'Double Trouble'. They are starting out so they will open for us," Sanjo said.
"Are they from Japan too?" I asked.
"No, they're American. Their manager seemed desperate and we needed someone to open for us," Sanjo said.
"Sanjo-san, is it alright if we walk around. I haven't been to America in a while," Nade asked.
"Alright but use the buddy system," she said.
"I want to go!" Yaya yelled.
"I'll go too," Kukai said.
"We can all go together," Nade said. The three of them left.
"Rima, can I talk to you for a second?" Rei asked.
"Sure," I said as I got us. We walked to her room. She then closed the door behind me. She then sat on the bed with her guitar and strummed a sting lightly.
"Is something wrong?" I asked.
"Well, I have a problem," she said.
"What is it?"
"I'm trying to write a love song and I need help," she said.
"Why do you need my help?"
"Because you're in love," she said.
"Aren't you?" I asked.
"I don't know if I'm in love yet. I guess it takes me more time. That's why I'm struggling with this. Please Rima, help me. All I got is blank stares at blank pages," she said.
"There's no easy way to say this. What do you want me to tell you?"
"Think about Nagi. Just tell me what's on your mind." I closed my eyes and thought of Nagi. Nothing particular came into mind. It was just him and I and we're happy.
"I know you mean well, but this is hard on me."
"Please?"
"I'm not gonna help you write a love song, just cause you asked for it, or you need one. I can't write songs," I said. Rei snaps up from her guitar and looks at me.
"Say that again, Rima?"
"I said, I'm not gonna help you write a love song, cause you asked for it, or you need one-"
"That's perfect! Thanks Rima!"
"What I do?"
"Nothing hold on." She grabs a notebook and begins writing.
"Just keep talking and don't leave."
"If all you have is leaving then I'm gonna need a better reason to write you a love song," I said.
"Perfect."
"Can I go to bed now?"
"Of course. Goodnight," she said.
"Night."
*Nade's POV*
"This is so much fun. Nade-chi, you and I haven't had girl time since you've been with us," Yaya said.
"Hey! I'm here too," Kukai said.
"It's alright Kukai-kun. Yaya-chan is just excited," I said. I saw a flash of blonde and black. I looked around.
"Did you see something Nade?" Kukai asked.
"No, I thought I saw someone I knew but it's nothing," I assured them. I thought I saw Lulu but she's in France right now. She went home for the summer. I saw that blue dress Lulu loves and her odd hairstyle. At least I thought I did. I thought I saw another girl but I guess I was wrong. I'm pretty tired so I must be seeing things.
Rima: We're finally back after forever
Nagi: Well daydreamer has a reason for that
daydreamer1105: STUPID MONO!
Rima: oh...anyway we would like to give a shout out to NutellaUnicorn/Izzabread for the idea about Love Song
Nagi: Question # 23. Was Nade crazy or did she really see Lulu and someone else?
Rima: It's funny hearing you ask people if your sister is crazy
Nagi: *sweatdrop* I'm just reading the question off Rima
Rima: whatever
Nagi: Review please
