She (Nade) was looking at the floor. I knew she wasn't crying but she was clearly upset. They (Leo and Blue) would pay for this.
-Nagi's POV

Kusukusu: How did Lulu get backstage?

Rhythm: Who knows but we have a more serious problem on our hands

Temari: Poor Nade. She must be heartbroken

Chapter 30 The Queen Always Protects the King

*Nagi's POV*

"My heart unlock."

"Nagi, get everyone away. When this happens then the hot and cold will hit soon. You'll be vulnerable," Tadase instructed. I quickly picked Rima up and threw her over my shoulder. There is no way she could run after she played volleyball earlier today.

"Come on guys," I said. Ikuto, Kairi, and Kukai were following me.

"Nade, come on," I said when I noticed she wasn't following.

"No. I'm gonna fight," she said.

"How? You don't have a chara right now," I said.

"That's where you're wrong. I believe in myself one-hundred percent at this moment. At first I was sad and then angry. Now I realize he's missing out. I'm perfect the way I am," she said with a smile on her face.

"What do you-"

"My heart unlock!" A bright light wrapped around Nade. We all had to shield our eyes.

"It's about time Nadeshiko. I was getting worried." Who said that?

Charanari Radiant Queen

The light faded to show Nade in a white kimono. She has a black obi to go with it. Her hair is tied up with a white ribbon. There were black suns that seemed a little faded on her kimono. She had traditional Japanese wooden sandals on her feet and two yellow fans in her hands.

"I call dibs on him," Nade said as she joined the others that could charanari.

"I won't let you hurt him," Blue said as she put a hand on Leo's chest.

"You're old news," Leo said to Nade. I could tell Nade was fuming.

"Then I'll take both of you!" she yelled.

"We'd like to see you try!" they both said. Blue strummed her guitar while Leo yelled into his mic. The music created purple waves that headed straight for Nade.

"Holy Crown!" Tadase blocked the attack.

"I'll help you Nadeshiko," Tadase said.

"You don't have-"

"I know. I want to help you but I also have my own reasons. This guy is the worst and she's no better," Tadase said. I've never seen Tadase get this angry before. He's been mad at Ikuto before but this was a whole new level.

"Nadeshiko-"

"You know you can call me Nade," she said.

"Nade, let's do this," he said. The two began to attack.

"Don't forget us!" Yaya yelled. Everyone that could charanari began to attack.

"We should probably get out of the way," Kukai said to the group that I was with.

"I don't know. It's odd," Kairi said.

"What odd?" Rima asked as I put her down.

"We haven't begun to be hot or cold yet," Kairi pointed out.

"You're right!" I said.

"So that must mean we can join in," Ikuto said.

"My heart unlock" Ikuto's ears and tail popped on him. He didn't transform but he did do a character change.

"Yoru," he said.

"Sorry-nya."

"It's better than nothing," Kukai said.

"No it's not. I can't use any of Yoru's powers even though it looks like I can," Ikuto explained.

"So we're still stick like this," Kairi examined.

"I'm pretty sure I couldn't help even if I did character change," Rima said.

"Yeah, doing Bala-Balance in front of your enimies isn't effective at all," I agreed.

"What about you girly-boy? You can't transform with that thing on your foot but you can character change," Ikuto pointed out.

"It just increases my speed. I can't really attack," I pointed out.

"So in other words..." Kairi started.

"We're useless," Rima sighed.

"They are stronger than normal!" Amu yelled. Her voice brought our attention back to the fight.

"This dressing room is gonna burst. We have a full house out there. They can't get to the fans," Utau said.

"Roger," Yaya said.

"Nade, what kind of attack can you do?" Tadase asked.

"I can use my fans for blocking and attacking," Nade said as she blocked a hit.

"We need to distract one of them," Rei said.

"I got an idea but I need Tadase," Aarin said.

"Just do it!" Utau said with urgency. Aarin whispered in Tadase's ears.

"I don't think that will work," Tadase sweatdropped.

"Just try it. No girl can resist," Aarin encouraged. I noticed that Tadase looked at Nade for a second and then back at Aarin.

"It's worth a try," Tadase said. His charanari left him.

"Tadase! What are you doing!? You're going to get hurt," Nade warned.

"I'll be ok. I have you to protect me. In chess, the queen always protects the king," Tadase said. I saw Nade's cheeks blush a little bit.

"Blue," Tadase said as he walked up to her.

"Get away from her Blondie!" Leo said as he screamed in his mic sending an attack right to the blonde. Nade stood in front of Tadase and blocked it.

"Here it comes," Aarin said.

"What is he going to do? He's not using his charanari," Amu said.

"Just watch. It's Tadase's special attack," he said. Tadase closed his eyes. He took a deep breath and then opened his eyes. He was giving Blue puppy dog eyes. Sparkles began to form around him.

"Please don't hurt us Blue-chan. We just want to help you," he said in a gentle voice. All of us sweatdropped.

"Sparkle attack? Really?" Rima muttered.

"But Leo-"

"He shouldn't control you. You're a very independent and smart girl," Tadase complimented. Blue dropped her guitar.

"You're right," she said.

"Blue snap out of it! He is tricking you!" Leo yelled as he aimed another attack at Tadase but of course Nade blocked it.

"No, he's right," Blue said. She walked up to Leo.

"I love you Leo. I thought you changed but I changed too. Look at us, we're terrible," Blue said.

"You don't mean that," Leo said as he grabbed her hand.

"I do," she said.

"You're right," Leo said. The question mark on their foreheads changed into an X. Their eyes seemed to be in a daze.

"Amu now!" Ikuto yelled.

"Negative heart, lock on! Open heart!" Leo and Blue's heart became purified. The two were passed out on the floor. Everyone's charanari left them.

"That was amazing Tadase-kun," Yaya said as she hugged him.

"It's a little embarrassing to beat the enemy like that," Tadase said.

"You still did great," Nade said as she smiled at him. Tadase smiled back at her.

*Lulu's POV*

"Why didn't you tell me that your were turning the Amercans eggs into ? eggs. We could've fired up the machine!" Mr. Valentine yelled in my phone.

"I had it under control. It was sort of a last minute thing I put together," I lied.

"Nadeshiko Fujisaki can charanari now! We could've gotten her too!"

"I'll tell you next time. It's not that big of a deal," I said.

"Lulu, are you betraying me?"

"Of course not. It was a mistake and it won't happen again."

"It' better not. I've supplied you with your gems for your jewelry, I flew you to America is my personal jet, I gave you my step-daughter as a decoy, I've given your mom the role of her life. I've put too much into this plan for it to be ruined by a little girl! If you pull this stunt again than your mother will be fired. She won't be famous like she used to be."

"I'm sixteen Mr. Valentine. I know how to be responsible. It will never happen again," I said.

"It better not!" He hung up.

"Lulu?" Nana said concerned.

"It's not fair. I took this stupid job so momma could be famous again but I don't want to hurt Nade either," I said. Tears began to sting my eyes.

"Nade is a nice girl. She'll forgive you. Rei forgave Nami. All you have to do is come clean about everything" Kaya said from inside her egg.

"Shut up," I said.

"Lulu, you can find other friends. Your momma may never get a role like this again," Nana reminded me.

"I know. I'm sorry Nade. My momma needs me more than you do."

*Nade's POV*

I suddenly got chills.

"Are you alright?" Tadase asked.

"Yes I'm fine. I just got a chill," I assured him. I looked around the dressing room. Amu had fixed it with Su's help.

"What happened?" Leo said as he woke up. Blue woke up right after him.

"You fell asleep. Stress can make you a little tired," Rei said.

"Don't worry. You perform in fifteen minutes," I assured him.

"Good, I was worried that I missed the concert," he said.

"What happened to Nami? She was here a minute ago," Blue asked. Rei suddenly froze.

"She probably left," Aarin covered for his girlfriend.

"Can I talk to you?" I asked.

"Uh yeah," he said as he got up. Him and I walked just outside the door.

"What's up?"

"I'm doing both of us a favor," I said.

"What do you mean?"

"I know you changed for the worse but I can sense that you're better now. You're now the boy that Blue is best friends with," I said.

"Where are you going with this?"

"I want to break up. I know that what we had wasn't real. I think we dated each other to make others angry. You brought out my bad side and now I realize that I made Blue jealous. We used each other for our own gain."

"It's odd but I'm not really broken up about it," he said.

"I know. I'm not either. You're free now, free to chase after a girl who want to be in a band with you," I teased.

"You're free too. So make sure that Blondie makes you happy like I couldn't," he teased right back. His statement took me by surprise. I felt my cheeks heat up.

"W-what?"

"Don't play dumb. I know you like to be bad sometimes but in the end you like I guy who will treat you like a queen," he said. I couldn't help but laugh. If only he knew.

"So this is goodbye?" he asked as he offered his hand.

"Yes, but we will still be friends and maybe even go on a double date when we get our loved ones," I said as I shook his hand.

"I don't think Blondie likes me too much. That might be a bad idea," he pointed out.

"I guess you have a point," I said.

"Enough standing around. I got a performance to do."

Blue began to play her guitar while she was on stage. After a few seconds she stepped up to the mic.

"They are playing much better than they did earlier," Rei admired.

"Amu purified their heart. It's like getting a clean slate," Aarin pointed out.

"Also I gave him some encouragement," I said.

"What do you mean?" Nagi asked curiously.

"I broke up with him," I answered.

"That's not really encouragement," Rima sweatdropped.

"I freed him so he could be happy with Blue," I explained.

"That's right. Happy ending for Blue and Leo!" A chara with lavender hair that was as long as her. There was one braided strand in the front. She had beautiful topaz eyes. She wore a white layered kimono with purple ruffles coming out of her layers and her sleeves. A black obi held her kimono together.

"WHAT!?" we all yelled. Luckily the music was too loud so none of the fans heard us.

"Hey, what's wrong with everyone? You guys act like you've never seen a chara before," she said.

"That's right. We never saw Nade's chara. She went straight into a charanari," Tadase pointed out.

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Hikari, it's nice to finally meet you openly like this," she said.

"I'm glad I get to do the same," I said.

Temari: That's so sweet

Kusukusu: Yay! We have a new friend

Rhythm: I wonder what she'll be like

Hikari: You know you can ask me right? I'm right here

Rhythm: Ok, what are you like?

Hikari: You'll have to find out in the next chapter *sticks tongue out at Rhythm*

Rhythm: Hey!

Kusukusu: I like her

Temari: Hikari, you can ask the question since this is your first chapter

Hikari: Alright. Question #32 Did you like Tadase's final/special attack? I thought it was pretty cool.

Kusukusu: Next chapter we'll be heading home

Temari: I can show Hikari around. It's great to have another girl in the house

Rhythm: Just what we need

Temari and Hikari: *get's angry*

Temari: *pulls out Naginata*

Hikari: *pulls out fans*

Rhythm: *runs away*

Temari and Hikari: *chases him*
