Chapter 35 Breaking into a Big Company...Again Part 1
*Nade's POV*
"I have class for another half an hour but we can hang out after that," Lulu said.
"That's fine. I'll wait. Hey Lulu? Is there a break area I can sit down at? I am a little tired and it's crowded in this lobby," I said.
"Of course. You can rest in the break room. There soouldn't be anyone in there since classes have started." She guided me to a small room. There was a few couches, a small TV, a table, a fridge, a small counter and a sink in there but besides that it looked a little bland. I remembered what Kairi said.
Nade will ask Lulu to rest because she's tired. Statisically speaking, no one will be in that room. If there is a person then they won't be in there long.
"Thank you Lulu. I don't mean to be a bother."
"Nonsence. I'll check up on you after my class. There is a bathroom just across the hall if you need it. Water is in the fridge. Help youself," she said.
"Thank you." Lulu left the room. I sat on the sofa.
"Hikari. The camera."
"Got it!" She grabbed a pillow off the couch and kept it in front of the camera.
Hikari will cover up the camera. Since we don't know if the security guards can see charas she has to use an object. If she stood in front of the camera then they might see right past her. Once the camera is covered up, Nade will unlock the window and let the rest of us in.
*Rima's POV*
"Be quiet everyone. I'm supposed to be the only one in here," Nade said.
"Alright initiate the next part of the plan," Kairi whispered.
"Roger!"
"Quiet Yaya," I said.
"Everyone, but Nade, will take a walkie-talkie so we can keep in touch. After that, the charas will check the hallway to see if anyone is coming. Once the coast is clear then the charas will cover up the hallway cameras. We will then sneak into the bathroom.
The charas squeezed themselves under the door. We waited a good few minutes till they gave us the clear. We walked out of the door except for Nade. Hikari stopped covering the camera once we all left.
Nade will stay in the break room since Lulu may come back early. We don't want to gamble with Lulu. Once she catches our scent we're done for.
The charas held up objects to cover the cameras while we quickly piled into the small bathroom. Once we were all in the charas joined us.
"Ikuto unscrew the vent, you're the tallest. Rei, Aarin, get ready," Kairi said.
"Rei and Aarin will go up into the vents and head east. Their job is to find Nami. They are the two that know her the best.
"Don't you think that is overused. We used that tactic when we infiltrated Easter," I said.
"That's the point. He'll expect us not to use that tactic again. The charas will go ahead to see if cameras were installed into the vents. It's not very likely though.
"Do you see any cameras?" Rei asked.
"No it's clear. Kairi was right," Jazlynn said.
"Ladies first." Aarin said as he lifted Rei up. She grabbed the edges of the vent and pulled herself up. Kukai and Nagi helped Aarin up.
"We'll contact you of we run into trouble," Rei said. They slowly and quietly went the way they were supposed to.
"Tadase, Ikuto, you're next," Kairi said.
Nade shouldn't be left alone so Tadase will head north and stay by the vent to the break room to watch over her. Also Ikuto is the only one of us that looks like they could have a job. Right next to the bathroom is the janitor's closet. He will head west and drop through the vent in that room and change into a janitor's uniform. Rima will wait for him in the bathroom while the rest of us break into pairs and travel seperate directions. We need to look for Lulu, Kaya, Mr. Valentine, and find out clues on how he is making us hot and cold.
"Wait here Rima. Ikuto will be here to pick you up soon," Nagi said. He was the last one to climb into the vent.
"I hate this plan."
"You were the only one small enough." He followed Amu through the vents. There was a knock on the door.
"Occupied," I said.
"It's me." I unlocked the door and let Ikuto in. He was wearing the uniform and he pushed a giant garbage can inside.
"Hop in shrimp."
Rima is the smallest out of all of us so she will be able to fit in the garbage can Ikuto will bring to the bathroom. Once she's inside. Ikuto will cover her with toilet paper and paper towels so she isn't spotted. They will be our people on the ground." Kairi said.
"This sucks. Also I can't reach." He picked her up and sat her down in the can.
"This is so stupid."
"Stop complaining." He balled up a bunch of paper towel and toilet paper until I was covered. Ikuto pushed the trash can out of the bathroom and down the hall. I have no idea where he is going since I cant see. I hear a ring noise which means we must be in an elevator now.
"No one is in here shrimp. What floor should we start on?"
"The second one I guess. We should work our way up," I suggested. The elevator doors opened. Ikuto began to move but stopped. Why did he stop?
"What floor ma'am?" he asked.
"Top floor." That voice was familiar. It was Lulu. I heard Ikuto hit an elevator button.
"Hey aren't you one of Nade's friends?" Lulu asked.
"Not really. She's my girlfriend's friend," he said.
"What are you doing here with a garbage can?" she asked.
"I needed a job. College doesn't pay for itself," he lied. He earned respect from me since he was able to lie on the fly.
"Does Nade know you work here?"
"Doubt it. I'm not really proud of my janitor job so I've been keeping it a secret. Care to keep it that way?"
"Whatever." The elevator doors opened and Lulu walked out. The doors closed again.
"That was too close," Yoru said.
"You're telling me," Ikuto said.
"I'll tell the others." I grabbed the walkie-talkie.
"Everyone. Lulu knows Ikuto is here. He managed to come up with a clever lie but she may be suspicious. Be careful."
*Nade's POV*
"Nade are you ok?" Hikari asked.
"I'm alright. I just worry about everyone else. They are off trying to fix everything while I sit here doing nothing. It makes me feel a little useless."
"You're not useless Nade," Tadase said.
"Thank you Tadase." I looked up at the vent I knew he was at and smiled. A knock on the door made me look away.
"Come in." The door opened to reveal two huge men suits. "Security" was written on the back of their shirts.
"Nadeshiko Fujisaki?"
"Yes."
"You're in a lot of trouble." They grabbed my arms and dragged me away.
"Let go of me!"
*Tadase's POV*
"Everyone! Nade has been taken hostage!" I yelled into the walkie-talkie.
"Lulu didn't believe Ikuto then," Kairi said.
"We need to save her!" I yelled.
"Calm down Tadase. We need to keep a level head," Amu said.
"Lulu went to the top floor. Shrimp and I were with her in the elevator," Ikuto said.
"Everyone needs to meet up then. There's no point in sneaking around if they know we're here. Luckily Nade didn't have a walkie-talkie so they should be safe to use. Everyone meet in the bathroom on the 59th floor. That's the floor right under the top floor. We all need to make a plan B." Kairi said.
*Nade's POV*
"Welcome miss Fujisaki. I hope my men were not too rough on you," Mr. Valentine said. He was standing right in front of me. This is the man that is trying to shame the Fujisaki name, the same man who will ruin my brother's life. I'd rather die then let that happen. I chose not to speak.
"Not a girl of words I see. Lulu, you know what to do," he said.
"Yes sir." I didn't notice her in the corner. She looked really sad.
"Lulu don't do this. This man is trying to tear my family apart and you're helping him. I thoguht we were friends," I said.
"We were but..."
"But what?!" I realized I was yelling and tears were in my eyes.
"Mama is more important to me!" She yelled back. I saw tears in her eyes as well. She didn't want to do this.
"Hikari!"
"Right!"
"My heart unlock"
"Wait right there. You don't want your friend's chara crushed do you?" Mr Valentine said as he showed Kaya. She was in a clear tube but she couldn't get out.
"That's Kaya! I'm sure of it!" Hikari said. I stopped my charanari for Kaya's protection.
"Where's Nami?" I asked.
"Why she's right here." Nami appeared out fo the shadows.
"Nami!"
"Nade?" She said it as if she wasn't all there. She looked at me but then she looked down. I ran to her and grabbed her shoulders.
"Nami snap out of it! What did they do to you?" I asked as I shook her a little. She looked at me with tears in her eyes. I hugged her to comfort her. I whispered in her ear.
"We know you are here against your will. Everyone is here and they will rescue us. I promise."
*Nagi's POV*
"We're all here. Let's go get Nade!" I said.
"We can't run in all of a sudden. Half of us can't charanari," Tadase said.
"Everyone who can charanari will be in front. Use your charanari wisely. Mr. Valentine will make us hot and cold the second we start to fight him. People who can't will stand back and look for an opening to rescue Nade. I imagine Nami will be there too so we should rescue her too and possibly her chara if she's still alive," Kairi said.
"Got it," we all said.
"Wait! Nagi should hang back and not use his charanari," Ikuto said.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Think about it. Who is the only person who can charanari that hasn't been exhausted. You were in a cast so you couldn't charanari. Now that you're healthy you haven't need to charanari. You haven't been exposed to the increse in your charnari power so I believe you should hang back and be back up," Ikuto explained.
"That's actually correct," Kairi said.
"Wow," Amu said in awe.
"What? You guys act like I'm an idiot. I have ideas too."
"I'm just surprised you figured that out and Kairi didn't," Utau said.
"Anyway, we should use Ikuto's idea. Nagi should be ok using his character change. He can protect the cold people," Kairi said.
"Hang in their Nade. We're coming." I said.
*Nade's POV*
"I can't get her. She's too fast!" Nana yelled. They tried to contain Hikari too but she was too quick. I held Nami. I was hoping she was being hopeful but I can't imagine being in this much pain. How could her step-father mentally abuse her. I'll make sure he's behind bars. I hope they get here soon.
"They're on their way sir," a scientist in a lab coat said.
"Ready the machine. The plan is going smoothly," Mr. Valentine said.
"Lulu don't do this! You can stop this!" I plead with her. She doesn't acknowledge me at all. She just stare forward waiting for orders.
"Lulu, when they get in here hten work your magic," Mr. Valentine said.
"Yes sir." She spoke in a monotone. I can reason with her.
*Nagi's POV*
All of us were crowded in the elevator. We knew Mr. Valentine was expecting us. It didn't take long to go up a floor. We all filed out. There he was. Our enemy, our goal.
"You guys!"
"Nami!"
"Nade!" Tadase reacted before any of us and ran towards her. She was running to him too.
"Y'all can do what you want!" Lulu had yelled that. Nade stopped running. Her eyes became dazed. Nami was the same exact way. They had purple/pink eggs over them with a question mark on them.
"Tadase stop!" I yelled. He came to a halt. Hikari is in a ? egg. How could this happen? Nade had the necklace to protect her. I felt something grab my hand. I looked down at Rima. I saw the determination in her eyes.
"We'll get her back," she said.
"You're right."
"Go now!" Kairi said.
"My heart, unlock!"

"Oh, so the Fujisaki boy isn't going to save his sister. Lulu make them charanari," Mr. Valentine said. Lulu hesitated. Did she really want to be Nade's friend.
"This is something you do to friends Lulu. Nade is kind. If you stop this then she'll forgive you," Rima said. She caught on too.
"Shut up!"
"Charanari?" the ? eggs said. They grew smiles and swallowed Nade and Nami.
"They were eaten!" Amu and Yaya yelled in panic. The eggs split open to reveal the girls in insane outfits.

"Thomas the machine!" Mr. Valentine said.
"Yes sir." The scientist in the corner pulled the lever on a cylinder shaped machine. Instantly I was hit with a heat wave. This one was more powerful than what I've been hit with before. The hot people were at a huge disadvantage. They began to fight the poor girls.
"Nagi." The grip on my hand became tighter. Rima was holding her stomach in pain. She would've fallen to the floor if it wasn't for me holding her. The other cold people were on the floor in the fetal position.
"N-Nagi, it hurts so bad."
"I'll get you guys out of here. It must be worse since we're super close to the machine," I said.
"I-It won't matter...the machine gets us no matter... where we are. It got us... across the world," Kukai managed to say.
"You need to get the two necklaces Rei and Aarin had. They protect the wearer from the machine," Kairi said. He then began to scream in pain. His chara screamed as well. The color was leaving the little samurai. He then turned black. He turned into an X character but much worse. It looked like he was covered in black fire with a giant red X on his head. Kairi stopped squirming. His eyes looked glazed over.
"Rima, quick. Where did you hide the necklaces?" I asked. I needed to know before Kusukusu turned too. I hate to see Rima in this pain but I cna't help her. I don't know what else to do.
"He...Ahhhhhh"
"Rima!"
"Hi-ka-ri." Kusukusu turned into the more terrifying X character too. All the other charas of the cold people turned into the scary X characters too. Hikari? She must know where they are.
"Amu! You need to purify Nade now! We need Hikari!" I yelled. She looked back to see all our cold friends nearly lifeless on the ground.
"Ikuto! Rima!" she yelled.
"Don't worry about them! Purify her! We can't win without her!" I yelled. She hesitated and kept looking at Ikuto.
"I got one shot. Everyone help me," Amu said. Everyone put their enery into stopping Nade.
"Negative Heart! Lock on! Open heart!" Nade was purified. Unfortunately Nami dodged the attack.
"Grab her and lets go!" I said.
"We can't leave them here!" Yaya said.
"We're going to have to! You have to trust me!" I yelled. Tadase grabbed Nade and we all jumped out of the window.
"Holy Crown." We all landed safely.
"I hope you have a plan Nagi. We just abandoned our friends," Amu said.
"I do but first Nade needs to wake up. I'll explain everything when we get back to the Royal Garden," I said.
Temari: This is bad!
Rhythm: You're tellling me
Temari: Where are the neckalces Hikari?!
Hikari: *currently passed out*
Rhythm: She hasn't woken up yet
Temari: Also half of our friends are X characters, really bad ones
Rhythm: I guess we should ask the question so we can move on to the next chapter
Temari: Question #37 What do you think Hikari knows?
Rhythm: *slaps Hikari a bunch* wake up *slap* wake up *slap*
Temari: *sweatdrops* I don't think that's helping
