Chapter four: I'm Sorry Artemis

"Come on babe?!" Wally shouted following his very angry and annoyed girlfriend into the lounge as she stormed towards the zeta tube.

"Wally go away!" Artemis swatted at her boyfriend and kept walking, ignoring Wally's pleas.

"Arty come on, I didn't mean it babe." Wally was now begging.

"That fact that you said it Wallace means that you did in fact mean it!"

"Artemis look at me! I'll never say it again" Artemis jolted to a stop and whipped her body around to face the redhead, pointing a slim finger at him.

"I don't want to hear it Wally, stay away from me!" And with that she stormed off through the zeta tubes. The mechanical voice announcing her departure.

"What did you do?" Wally turned to see Robin sitting in the couch, controlling in hand. Walking over to him Wally collapsed on the couch.

"Nothing" Robin raised his eyebrow in disbelief and stared at his friend, causing wally to huff out a long sigh.

"She caught me staring at her while she was in her uniform and I just might have made a comment about how revealing it is."

"Oh man-"

"And then i could have told her that she should change the design."

"Shit Wally-"

"Because only i have the right to see her that exposed." Wally finished and turned to look at the young boy who sat completely still, staring back at him. After 23 seconds of silence Wally grew uncomfortable and opened his mouth to speak again.

"Ugh-"

"Holy fuck you are a fucking wanker. just... Fuck Wally. What were you thinking!"

"I know it was wrong, I don't think i meant to say it! It just came out."

"You screwed up man." Wally groaned and buried his face in his hands and Robin slowly patted his friend on the shoulder.

"I know! I practically told her i don't like how she dresses and then claimed her as my possession!"

"Uh yeah that's exactly what you did."

"I know! But what can I do? Let her cool off or just forget about it. She's so pissed off at me. Rob what do i do?" Once more Wally buried his face, letting out an exhausted scream.

"Okay chill. Both of those would end up with you being single. I'd say just apologize to her now, you know with roses and chocolate." Wally looked up and furrowed his brow.

"Apologise?"

"Yeah, and make sure its good. This is Artemis we are talking about, there is no 50% here. Bring your A game."

Wally stood up clenching his fist in motivations."You're right! I need flowers and chocolate… Uh?"

"And a good apology." Robin finished for him, causing wally to glare at him in annoyance.

Artemis sat in her room with her music blaring and a bowl of Oliver's famous chili sat in her lap. Her laptop was open with her current History paper sitting untouched on it. Oliver had, thankfully, decided to leave her alone after she convinced him that she was fine, though as he left he muttered something about 'talking' to a certain speedster.

As the song finished Artemis heard a tapping noise from her window, opening it up she looked down so see Wally standing beside the tree two stories below. There in his hands was a bouquet of white tulips and a box of chocolate covered strawberries. He was in simple jeans and hoodie, causing a flash of self-conscious through Artemis as she noted she was just in baggy sweat pants and a singlet. Though she didn't let it show through her angry expression.

"What do you want wally?" Artemis leant out of her window and crossed her arms over her chest.

"I came to tell you that what I said was out of line and un-forgivable. I made you my possession which is completely wrong." He stepped forward and looked up to her with his sparkling green eyes.

"I brought you chocolate strawberries and flowers?"

"Not good enough wally" Artemis turned away and started to shut her window.

Seeing her actions Wally let out a panicked scream "IMSORRY!" As the words left his mouth Artemis stwisted herself back around to face him, shocked.

"What?"

"I'm sorry Artemis. I'm sorry for what I said. I'm sorry for being rude. But most of all I'm sorry i hurt you." His voice broke as he finished his sentence his eyes glistening as he begged for her to believe him. Artemis stayed in her state of shock, watching as the boy below her silently begged.

Artemis' mouth slowly curled into a smile which made her eyes brighten."I forgive you wally" her voice was soft and sweet.

Wally's face was devoured by a huge grin."You do?"

"Yes you idiot!"

Artemis swung her legs over her windowsill and jumped from her room landing gracefully on the ground. As she straightened up Wally stepped over to her and hugged her tightly to his chest whispering into her hair.

"I'm sorry."

Artemis shook her head against his chest, breathing him in.

"Don't you ever forget to apologize again Baywatch. I swear to God."

"I promise babe."

As the afternoon grew old and the sun was half set, the teens made their way to the tree where they sat on high branch. Artemis was wrapped in Wally s jumper with her back against the trees trunk, Wally's head resting in her lap.

"Was apologizing to me really your last resort?"

"No. I just forgot about it, I was so worried and all i wanted was for you to forgive me. It didn't even cross my mind, all i wanted was to fix it and I didn't know how. Ha and to think I could have saved myself the money of buying you flowers and making chocolate covered stawberrHUH" Artemis poked him in the ribs. He looked up to see her pouting with her bottom lip stuck out.

"So you don't like buying me flowers?"

"I would buy you a freaking super flower if you wanted. I just know that you would take me flowers or not." Artemis pecked his nose.

"True, but they were a good touch and I do love them."

"Good" Wally brought his hands up to cup her face dragging her lips down to meet his. His lips were warm, like always, and the soothed her own lips, which had been bitten by the cold. He could taste the chili on her tongue and chuckled.

"You taste like chili Babe." They both laughed and Wally continued to chuckled as he licked his lips.

"Want more?" Artemis asked, her eyelids lowered and breathe husky.

"Always" he pulled her back down into another kiss and sampled every inch of her mouth her could, until his own mouth tasted of the spicy chili. Artemis lightly nipped his lower lip causing him to groan. Wally scooted down, so that his head was in-between her spread legs instead of in her lap, making it easier for her to kiss him. Their kisses became fuller and soon Artemis let Wally s tongue become dominate over her own, bending to his might. As he started to lightly suck on her upper lip Artemis let out a light moan and the upside down kiss became even more passionate, until they both had to pull back to catch a decent breath again.

"So am I now completely forgiven?" Wally asked.

"Maybe…" Wally heard the cheekiness in her voice and growled. Pulling her down yet again for a kiss.

"WALLY GET YOUR HANDS OF MY DAUGHTER THIS INSTANT!" Both of them jumped apart to watch a fuming Oliver Queen making his way towards them. Wally shot up instantly turning to Artemis and shoving something into his jumpers pocket. Before he could utter a word Artemis gave him chaste kiss and shoved him back.

"Run!" needing no further encouragment Wally jumped out of the tree and zoomed around the extremely angry parent and towards the mansions gates.

That night Artemis fell asleep hugging the orange jumper that she had hijacked. Holding a small piece of paper that had been shoved into its pocket.
