Thank you guys for reading and reviewing my previous chapter, I'm really grateful for all the support you've been showing me so far.

Sorry for this chapter being a day late but I couldn't post it yesterday cause i had work to do.

Anyway, this chapter I'm gonna start going with the story of some of the limited-time events. As for how I'm going to try and put them in the timeline as accurately as I can since with limited-time events we can never guess the correct timeline they are in.

That's about it for now, enjoy the chapter.

Chapter 5:A familiar power

It had been almost two months since Naruto came to this world. He had come to like the peace around him, no need to go out and fight, no need to follow orders for missions. The last two months he had spent traveling around with Venti on his traveling performances. Venti had become a quick friend for Naruto who even told him about where he came from, his upbringing and the war he had ended before coming to this place.

Venti sympathized with him. After all he himself had gone through three different wars. Right now, they were going back to Dvalins lair to check up on him as they hadn't been there since their escape from Mondsdat. "So, what are you planning to do once we leave once more?" Venti asked his friend. "Hmmm, I'll probably visit Liyue since I overheard some people talking that the right of descension is in about a month." answered Naruto. "Yea Morax still does that, i guess that's his way of showing his people that he's still among them. After all, a visit from the god of contracts in the city that has the most exports is a sign of his blessing." exclaimed Venti.

"To be fair I'm more interested in those Adepti you've told me about. By the way you described them, they sound like some form of demi-gods." added Naruto as they made their way inside the ruins of the old castle of the God of Storms. Just as they entered a flapping of wings was heard as Dvalin landed on the open floor of the castle. "Barbatos, Naruto It is good to see you again." he said in greeting, "It's good to see you too, Dvalin." replied Naruto. "I'm afraid there is no time for pleasantries, I can feel the leftover power of Durin growing by the minute. Had you not come here I would've gone to find you." said Dvalin in a grave voice. Venti frowned at hearing that before saying, "That's not good. We can't let his power grow and fall into the Fatuis or the Abyss Orders hand." "Well then Venti, as thanks for helping me learn about this world i will help you get to the end of this." said Naruto with a smile in turn making Venti smile.

"Thank you, Naruto. Now, let's go to Dragonspine and investigate what is the cause for the growth in power." "I'm afraid I cannot accompany you there. I don't want to take the risk of getting cursed with that power again." said Dvalin looking at Venti. "Don't worry old friend, you don't have to, especially since I'm not alone." replayd Venti. "So Venti, you up for a race to the mountain? No teleporting there of course." "Hoho you think you can get there before me without your fancy teleportation."replied Venti with a grin. "If you think that my only way of traveling is teleportation, then you're sorely mistaken." and with that both of them disappeared in blurs heading towards the frozen mountain Dragonspine, known to a few as the place where Durins corpse was buried.

It only took the two about 30 minutes to arrive at the river surrounding the mountain. With Naruto getting there 1 minute before Venti, who arrived there with a pout on his face. "Now where do we start looking? I can feel a lot of different groups fighting each other at the same time." said Naruto with his eyes closed trying to get a feel for the area. Venti stood there thinking about what Naruto said before continuing. "We should probably start with the mountain's core where most of Dvalins remains, and power are." Naruto just nodded and they started their way there.

It didn't take long for them to get there. But when they got inside to where the core was, they encountered something neither of them was expecting, at least not at the core. The core looked like a giant red and black tumor and there standing in front of it as if studying the core was a person. Naruto and Venti both immediately got prepared to fight the stranger.

"Hmmm?" The stranger turned to look at them. He was of average height, had blond shoulder length messy hair with a braid on his left side, he had blue eyes with an empathetic face, and a weird mark on his neck that looked like a star. Albedo, the Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius, looked at the duo that entered the cave to the core of Dragonspine. He of course remembered them, everyone who saw them did. They were the ones that fought Dvalin over Cider lake almost two months ago and disappeared without a trace. "Aren't you two the ones that freed Dvalin from his curse? What are you doing here?" asked Albedo showing no emotion.

"That we are. But you on the other hand feel familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. And even standing before me I can hardly get a feel of your chakra." said Naruto in a suspicious voice. "Chakra? Is that some kind of energy I'm supposed to have but don't? Or do I have it, but just in small amounts?" asked Albedo, already coming up with theories. "I see, so you're the genius alchemist I've heard about. It's surprising how close you are with your theories, as chakra is in fact a type of energy that everyone has. And by the extremely small amount that I'm sensing from you I would guess you're probably not completely human or an artificial life form even." was the conclusion of Naruto after he relaxed seeing that there was no need to fight.

"The same could be said for you. You are actually quite right in your deduction since I am a homunculus created from the bases of Alchemy." answer a surprised Albedo, after all it's not every day that he meets a person who can deduce that on his own. "Ahh, so your Alice's son that she talked about, didn't expect to meet you in this place tho." said Venti with recognition, "So do i assume that you're Barbatos then. Since you seem to know my creator and had the power and reason to help Dvalin, meanwhile your friend here is probably from another world given his power and sudden appearance." concluded Albedo.

"You would be correct both times, but please just call me Venti," said Venti with a smile. "Now, let's talk about more pressing matters. The first being the reason that you're at the core of Dragonspine which you're probably aware houses the remaining power of Durin." Said a seurieus Naruto. "I came here to study the abnormal energy that was coming out of a sword the knights had in possession, I suspect it was power from Durins curse since every time I killed a monster the sword seemed to get stronger. And I'm guessing that you're both here for the same reason?" "So the power had a catalyst in order to manifest itself." finalized Venti.

"All Right then, let's have a look at this sword shall we." said Naruto "Yes of course, I left it with my assistant back at my camp, let's go I'll take you there, the camp is on the side of a cliff." "Wait, your assistant is no longer at the camp, I can't sense anyone on the side of the mountain." said Naruto as he motioned for them to stop. "Really? She shouldn't have a reason to leave." "Well, does she perhaps have an Anemo vision?" asked Naruto, Albedo looked at him and answered. "Yes, she does. Can you perhaps tell what kind of vision someone has based on their energy?" "I do. In fact, the only chakra i feel from you is the little bit that your vision has, but that's not important right now, it seems your assistant is in a three-way fight against two groups, one with ten non vision wielders and the other group being four what feels like visions, but these visions seem to be eating away at their life force." said Naruto.

"And if i had to guess the fight is probably over the point of corrupted energy I feel in the middle of them, which i would guess is our Durin power catalyst." finished Naruto. "Based on their descriptions I can guess that she's fighting against treasure hoarders as the non-vision fighter with the other group being Fatui, using delusions. A bastardized version of visions that anyone can use." concluded Albedo. "It seems Tsaritsa is collecting objects belonging or are related to the Archons, and Durins power is definitely something she would want." added Venti. "Well let's go help her then." said Naruto, putting his hand on Ventis and Albeos shoulder, disappearing in whirls of flame.

Over the frozen plane where the fighting was going on Sucrose tried staying as far away as possible without leaving the sword behind, using the power of her vision to keep the two fighting parties apart. 'This is not what I wanted to do when I came here to help that adventurer' she thought in a frenzy while dodging a stray arrow. Then right beside her a flame ignited out of nowhere and died down as fast as it came leaving three people in its place. She was super freaked out until she saw her mentor coming out the flame with two other people.

"Sucrose are you alright?" Albedo asked her. "Well, I didn't really participate in the fight, so I didn't get injured." she replied shyly. "Sorry to interrupt you love birds-" Sucrose turned bright red at that while Albedo just looked to the side "-but I think if you don't like fights or killing to look away." warned Naruto before turning to Venti. "Give me wind." Venti just nodded knowing what he was intending. Naruto put his hands forward, his fingers crossed just his pointer fingers being up, he put his hand in front of his mouth and took a deep breath, before saying.

Katon:Gōka Mekkyaku(Fire Release:Great Fire Annihilation) he released a giant wave of orange almost white flames towards the two fighting groups, Venti seeing his friend fire his attack did so as well blowing a powerful wave of wind that combined with the fire and just made it faster and stronger. That was the last thing the fighting parties saw before they all got incinerated as soon as it reached them, after the fire attack was done nothing, not even ashes remained.

As soon as Naruto gave his warning Sucrose turned away, while Albedo decided not to. He couldn't even start describing what he saw, just the fire attack the blond did could probably destroy a small town alone, but with the wind added from the bard, that attack if done inside the walls of Mondstadt would destroy the whole city leaving just ashes behind.

Unfortunately for them the blast from the attack knocked the sword down to the ground quite hard, in turn making the energy stored in the sword go to a nearby flower and into it. Now that normally wouldn't be a problem, but the thing is that the sword absorbed some of Narutos and Ventis power from their combined attack.

The flower turned massive, and a single leaf was bigger than all of them. "Well, that turned out pretty well, didn't it?" asked a sarcastic Naruto. 'I should stop this. I'm not going to risk another Shinju situation.' he thought in a serious manner. "Everyone stands back, I'll deal with this," he said. The others just nodded as he charged forward at the still forming flower going through hand seals. When he got close both his fists started glowing as he said Bakuton:Jiraiken(Explosion Release:Landmine Fist) with which he thrust his hands forward.

A huge explosion occurred swallowing the flower whole. The other just stood there amazed by the power. That was something they all didn't think possible and yet here was someone able to wield such power with ease. As Naruto walked back, they all just stared at him. "What?" he asked, confused. "You know what? I'm not gonna even ask." sighed Venti. And just like that, the problem was dealt with. Naruto and Venti headed towards Mondstadt with disguises for drink after making sure to tell Albedo to keep quiet about those events.

Sorry for the short chapter again. I'm gonna try to make next one longer but hey at least. I managed to put it out today.
