I do not own Destiny or Percy Jackson, I only own my OCs.
"Welcome back readers! We have another chapter for your reading pleasure as well as a fight between the two people who I have been teasing for a while now. A short fight but a fight nonetheless. Other than that this chapter is pretty straightforward. So let's get into those guest reviews.
Guest (reply by Slim): You'll get your answer in this chapter.
Guest 3 (reply by Slim): Yeah the Greek gods in the PJ universe are not very powerful compared to other gods in other universes. Yet at the same time, the Destiny universe is one of the most OP universes out there. This may get me some flack but Destiny is one of those few universes that can take on 40k and come out on top.
Guest 4 (reply by Slim): Something like that, given they will find a lot of people who are already dead but are still to become guardians. They were bound to come across one sooner or later. Osiris is creating something like that.
Ghostly (reply by Slim): It's very possible.
'Orion we might have a problem.' Dewi alerted her guardian.
'What's up?'
'Cayde 's signal just went out.'
'Define "went out?"
'As in it's being blocked or he died and his ghost is not transmitting.'
Orion brought his sparrow to a halt. The hunter looked at the body sitting on his sparrow. Cayde was already dead and now awaiting his ghost, it didn't matter what happened to the body as his ghost could even bring back his ashy remains. After all, Dewi had brought him back with only traces of his soul. On the other hand, if Cayde had died and his ghost was in danger then he needed support right now.
With Orion's decision made he got off his sparrow and removed the body of the hunter-to-be. With Dewi's help Orion located a cave where he placed the body, before he left Orion placed a dead drop symbol on the entrance of the cave as well as placing a beacon just in case. With the body secure, Orion got back on his sparrow and sped off toward Cayde 's last known location. With him keeping his sparrow running on full power Orion quickly got back to the city the two hunters had arrived in. Following Dewi's directions brought the hunter a forest where the hunter dismounted his sparrow and began looking for the EXO.
'Orion I'm detecting Taken residual energy nearby.' Dewi reported causing Orion's heart to skip a beat.
Taken on Earth! That was not good.
'Where?' Dewi quickly directed her guardian towards the energy.
The sun had long since fallen by the time the hunter arrived at the sight, finding signs of a fight. Drawing his hand cannon Orion began to check the area while his ghost set to making her own scans. The ghost soon came across patches of ice that had yet to melt, she called over her guardian as soon as she found them.
"Darkness," Dewi informed her guardian as he approached.
"I can feel it," Orion commented hatefully as he felt dark energies permeating the ice. "Contact Osiris, the rest of us needs to know about this."
"On it," Dewi replied establishing a connection on the Vanguard frequency. "Osiris, it's Dewi and Orion, we have a problem.
"Specify." The old warlock's voice came over the radio.
"I lost contact with Cayde when I was on my way back to the base." Orion began. "We doubled back and found traces of taken energy here as well as some ice that radiates darkness."
"Send me the location I'm on my way," Osiris answered before dropping the line.
It would take some time before Osiris got here given that they had yet to build any jumpships. Even by sparrow, it would take some time. Turning back to the sight of the fight Orion began to search the area for any sight of where Cayde would have gone. The ground was grassy but the hunter noticed areas where a lot of the grass was patted down as if a large group of people was standing around. That was just it, the grass did not look crushed nor was any of the stems broken. Meaning whoever was standing here was not moving quickly. Such a cluster of enemies would have attracted a grenade but given that the ground was undamaged led the hunter to believe this group came around after the fight. Only one group could have been nearby and was actively looking for him. They would have been drawn to the sound of the fighting. It was also very likely that they were still nearby.
"Very well." Orion breathed as he turned towards the forest. "Tonight, Orion hunts."
"Man you girls don't give up!" I yelled grabbing the Amazon on my back and tossing her off me. Her body was sent careening into a wall that crumbed as her body was thrown into it. "But damn if I don't admire your persistence."
'On your left.' Sid notified me. I threw my elbow in that direction nailing a charging Amazon in the head. 'Saint also finished clearing a path for the prisoners.'
Saint and Prometheus were escorting the prisoners out of the building, meanwhile, I was running interference. I began running to join up with Saint and the prisoners, though two amazons seemed to like their chance. I quickly smashed passed them.
"Great tell him I'm on my way," I replied tossing another solar grenade down a hallway. The cry of the grenade's victims was my reward.
I sprinted down the hallway bulldozing through anyone who got in my way. It was honestly not so enjoyable for me, sure they seemed to take guys as slaves but at the same time, these Amazons were nowhere near ready to fight guardians such as Saint and myself. It reminded me of my early years of the Last City, there were more than a few shady groups of normal humans cropping up within the city limits. With Guardians focusing on building the walls and keeping out alien attackers, it was up to the non-guardian defenders and police to keep these gangs and low life's in line. More times than not a gang would grow in power forcing a team of guardians to come and sort them out. Even with the weapons of our time, normal humans were no match for a battled-hardened fireteam. To say it was a one-sided slaughter was being nice to the gangs. None of us regretted what we did but that didn't mean we enjoyed doing it.
Smashing through a wall I exited the building, to my left was Saint firing back into the building while people in orange jumpsuits were running away from the building. Of course, the nine-foot-tall monster of a man drew my attention as I watched him struggle to pick up a good-sized rock out of the ground. With much effort and a little help from the titan Prometheus, Ragnar pulled the rock free from the ground and tossed it into the entrance Saint made. The sizable rock flew into the opening created by Saint, it was large enough to plug the hole in the wall but from my own fights with the Amazons, they could move it given enough of them pushing.
With the hole plugged and the line-of-sight broken Saint began directing the rescued prisoners away from the factory. I ran to join them just as commotion from the building began to pick up again. Saint turned to me as I got close.
"Ah ah! Just like the Battle of Verica Bay brother! We are victorious once again!" Saint cheered as I joined him in escorting the prisoners.
"I remember that to be a resource-run Saint. You, charging through the Fallen lines just to get at their Kell." I replied remember the battle well, it was soon after he had returned from Zephyr Station with a newly lit fire in his soul. "We did not save anyone in that battle."
"Ah but that is where you are wrong brother, we saved thousands of lives with the surplus we brought back! Like now we save these people from their captors. In both cases, we have saved lives!" Saint countered amused.
"Uh, I suppose your right. Let's get out of here before they regroup." I offered before turning my attention to Sid. "Find us a place we can put these people, then we'll plan our next move."
'On it… updating your HUD.' Sid replied, a marker appearing on my HUD after he finished speaking.
Saint lead from the front while I brought up the rear. We escorted the prisoners out of the industrial section of the city. We had to slow down once we reached the more residential area as the people we were escorting looked like escaped convicts in their orange jumpsuits. Sid intercepted a few outgoing calls to 911, he put on the farce that the police were aware and that the whole thing was just a scene for a movie. Luckily that seemed to do the trick as calls stopped coming in as word started to spread around. Oddly enough, none of them commented on the massive nine-foot-tall man running around with us.
Once we were outside the city limits we came to a large enough park where everyone was able to take a breather. Saint's ghost had accessed the internet while we were making our way over, with a little bit of finagling he managed to get a catering service to drop off some food and water for the escaped prisoners. While they were all eating and having a moment to catch their bearings Saint and I spoke with Prometheus.
"I understand your hesitance to tell us about your son Prometheus but tricking us is not a good start to relationships," I told the Greek titan.
"You are correct, I just wanted to get my son out of that place. I didn't know how you would react to my plight." Prometheus replied watching his son interact with Ragnar from a distance. "Be assured, that you have my full support now. My services are at your disposal."
"We'll put them to good use," Saint commented. "Though I have a question about this other person you mentioned you were working for, won't they notice you are missing."
"Hmm, do you know about a titan called Kronos?" We both shook our heads in the negative. "In ages long past he used to rule over the area around Greece after he killed his father. He was a tyrant to be sure, one of his favorite past times was causing things he came across to shrivel up and die as he accelerated time around his victims. I created the humans that inhabited the area in which he ruled so that when he was traveling his lands, he would do the same to the humans that he came across. Of course, he was far stronger than I so I could only avoid him and direct humans away from his path. At one point he married a Titaness named Rhea. He mellowed out until the birth of their first daughter, Hestia, however as Kronos learned that his daughter had been born a goddess and not a Titaness he feared she would overthrow him like he did his own father. So, he ate her whole."
"The fuck!?" I called drawing the attention of those around us. I quieted down after my outburst. "This guy who sullies the name of all Titans ate his first daughter just because she was different?"
"Hmm, if I were there I would have caved in his skull." Saint declared.
"Yes, I admit that I went out of my way to avoid Kronos even more so than I did." Prometheus went on. "He would do this four more times with Rhea's other children until the fifth. Soon after giving birth Rhea tricked Kronos into eating a stone instead of the baby she bore. She then hid him away where he was raised by nymphs. This baby, who would become to be known as Zeus, would free his siblings from his father's stomach and lead a successful rebellion against the Titans. I, of course, aided them as my foresight saw their victory."
"And you're working for this guy again?" I asked pointedly.
"I would, if only to save humanity," Prometheus answered giving me a sad yet determined look. Yet a smile would come out of his saddened expression. "But now you have given me a different option, I am more than willing to share his plans to retake the throne from his son. I will also greatly appreciate a front-row seat to his downfall."
"I will personally tear his head off," Saint commented as a matter of fact.
"You and me both Saint."
"Though what is to become of the Amazon's slaves?" Prometheus asked looking towards the normal humans enjoying some food.
"We can bring those with nowhere to go back to our base, we could use the extra hands," I answered following Prometheus' gaze, my eyes quickly falling on Ragnar. "Though I know that Ragnar will probably need to come with us, he shows signs of becoming one of us."
"Will my son be able to join you? Demi-titans have nowhere to go as rare as they are."
"Of course." Saint quickly answered. "We will make sure he has a place to call home."
"We will have to arrange transportation, but our ghosts can take care of that," I added.
"Your… ghosts?"
I chuckled. "Yeah, I suppose you need to know what we are. You'll get the official story from our leader but the short version of it is that we are warriors from the future who arrived back in time by accident. As we told you a great evil will be arriving in the solar system. We must prevent it from destroying much of humanity like it had done in our own time."
"You mean to say… a god that claims dominion over other worlds," Prometheus asked frightened by the thought.
"In a way," Saint commented. "While I am no warlock, the approaching evil we must face is called the Darkness. It is almost to say a force of reality that has many powerful servants, both in entire races and in individual beings it empowers. We ourselves were once dead humans who were brought back to life with extraordinary powers. Our ghosts," Saint's ghost appeared beside him. "Are small fragments of a being we call the Traveler, the moon-sized white orb you saw in your vision. This Traveler is a being connected to another force of reality called the Light. The enemy of the Darkness."
"This Light and Darkness sound like the primordials." Prometheus analyzed. "To think humanity shall be caught in the crossfire."
"It is an unfortunate truth, the Traveler for all its good brought the Darkness to humanity, as the Darkness will always pursue its arch enemy." Saint accounted; I saw his fist close as his thoughts drifted towards the Dark Age. "But humanity shall never fall to the Darkness with warriors such as us standing in its way. Our Light shall burn away the shadows that seek to destroy us."
"Careful Saint you might raise an army with no enemy to fight with those words." I joke to my fellow titan.
Saint laughed. "Yes, you are right brother. There will be a time for grand speeches, but now is the time to gather our forces."
"I will be sure to do my part," Prometheus interjected standing. "For now I think I shall catch up with my son."
The titan started to head toward his son, leaving Saint and me to plan our next move. Our Ghost were already in the process of getting transportation for the projected number of people that would be joining us at our base. Three-fourths of the people we rescued had no registry on the local government database. Those who had families were about to get some good news on their missing relatives. By the time we had sorted everyone out and arranged a pickup for those who were staying to restart their lives, the sun had long since set. Six buses were packed and ready to leave yet as always there seemed to be a change in plans.
Sid had received an alert from Osiris. Taken forces had been confirmed by Orion, having been engaged by Cayde who was now presumed dead with his Ghost unaccounted for. Dewi's last communication claimed that Orion had a lead on the group who had it and that he was now hunting them. Osiris put some things together that Saint had left something out when he told us about his arrival. He was none too pleased about that. To that end, I ordered Saint go to support Orion while I escorted the escapees back to our base. Saint thanked me for sparing him Osiris' wrath. Of course, Saint did not know Orion like I did, when Orion said he was going hunting it could only mean that someone was now his prey.
Orion always caught his prey, no matter what stood in his way.
Trees flew by Orion as he dashed through the forest, the hunter easily avoiding the foliage. Dewi was scanning the environment trying to pick up Sundance's transponder or the odd energy signature that the woman hunting him left behind. So far she had yet to pick up anything, yet Orion was sure he was on the trail. For lack of a better word, he felt as if something other than his light was leading him toward this woman. He had been considering his life before he had become a guardian, was he really the same Orion as in the legend? Was it simple happenstance? He supposed it didn't truly matter in the end. He was a guardian now, his past life and everything that went with it was in the past now. He had a duty to humanity now.
Orion continued to follow his gut where it led him. After a few more hours he began to slow down as his ears began to catch the sound of human voices. Once close enough Orion got close to the ground and began to crawl the rest of the way toward the voices. The hunter came upon a campsite with a bunch of tents set up around a semi-large campfire. He spotted the same silver uniform of the girls that he had been evading. Orion quickly spotted the largest tent which he assumed the leader owned.
'Orion I'm picking up Sundance's signal .' Dewi proclaimed cheerfully.
'Where?'
'It's coming from that tent off to the side over there.' A marker appearing on Orion's HUD.
The Old Guard hunter maneuvered himself towards the new marker. A medium size tent sat nearby a large open tent that looked to house the kitchen. Orion began to make his way towards the tent sticking to the outskirts of the camp. Once the hunter had reached the tent's blindside he got up into a crouching position and carefully moved out towards the tent. As he got close he managed to make out the sound of talking.
"—aking a look at it. This machine is beyond anything I have seen before." A female voice finished, it sounded like the woman he fell on.
"Zoë's team couldn't find any more trace of the one we have been hunting." Another female reported. "Do you think they are related, my lady?"
"It's very possible they seem to admit similar energy." The first answered. "Though I admit that this… ice is making me worry, it feels unnatural… no it is natural but at the same time it is a dark force. I have never encountered it before. My uncle may know what it is but he has been absent. To think that fate has been distributed in such a way."
"So, it is true then my lady. The Fates are no longer in control of Fate."
"As it would seem, even Poseidon has gone to be with his demigod child and the woman who mothered him. I can't see Amphitrite being pleased with this development."
"Typical man to-"
Orion stopped listening as he prepared his move. Void light began to course through him, it began to seep through his skin and then through his armor. Void light began to shroud him making him disappear, becoming nothing like the void itself. The Hunter stalked up to the slightly opened flap and slipped in without making not a sound. The woman he fell on was there looking down at a table holding the remnants of Cayde covered in ice.
'Darkness.' Orion breathed in shock.
The ice was covered in darkness, it was as if reality was frozen in place around the bits of EXO. Orion had never encountered anything like this. Tearing his eyes away from the EXO, Orion spotted Sundance sitting on the table near her guardian. Her lights were off but he could still detect the light within her. Meaning Cayde could be brought back. First, he needed to get Sundance out of there and dispose of Cayde 's remains. Taking a Spike Grenade from his belt, Orion tossed the grenade out of the tent and into a nearby tent.
In an instant, the tent was obliterated from existence by void light. Both the women's heads immediately snapped towards the sound of the void grenade. The two rushed out as the sound of commotion began to rapidly build outside. Orion rushed over to the table and grabbed Sundance putting the disabled ghosts in one of his pockets. grabbing another grenade from his belt Orion placed it on the table. Dashing out of the tent the Nightstalker hunter ran towards the forest, the tent he had been in exploding in void light much like the first.
As Orion flees the camp all set to make his getaway like he had done many times before. Something different happens.
In one moment, the hunter was running, in the next something burning hot had struck his back and was sending him hurtling through tree after tree before hitting a rock face. The blast of heat did not let up forcing the guardian to pull out of it as it blasted into his back. The blast of energy began to fade as Orion got out of its line of fire. The hunter stood and noticed that his shields were almost drained.
The void light covering him began to dissipate revealing the hunter to the quickly approaching girls. Orion got up from his kneeling position as they got to him, pointing drawn bows at him. Their leader made her way through the group.
"You," The woman growled clearly remembering when he accidentally groped her. "you have much to answer for. You touch me and harmed my hunters, I have killed for far less. You are lucky my father demands I apprehend you and your kind, but once my father has his answers you will be mine. I hope you're ready to face your punishment."
Orion, being a hunter and a bit of a playboy, had heard similar things before. Despite the seriousness of the situation, the old guard hunter could not stop the laughter coming out of his mouth. That seemed to piss her off even more as she leveled an even more intense glare at him.
"Your laughing?"
"Sorry," Orion answered doing his best to stifle his laughter. "It's just that I came here all serious like ready to throw down… but when you said that I couldn't help myself. Come to think of it how did you see me? I was sure I wasn't spotted when I snuck in."
"I'm getting used to the energy you give out, I simply attacked the area where I could not sense anything. You are in a forest after all."
"AH, I suppose I was getting too comfortable with my ability to run circles around you."
"You won't be so smug after I'm through with you." The woman observed sharply.
For some reason, when the silver-eyed woman gave him the face that promised him pain. He could not stop himself from smiling… for some reason… she looked so cute. An overwhelming urge to flirt with her began to well up inside of him.
'Now's not the time to flirt guardian.' Dewi scolded her guardian.
'but… cute lady.' Orion complained.
'Traveler Orion one moment your "I'm going to save Cayide and to hell with anyone who gets in my way" then your all "damn I wish she would step on me", focus guardian!' Dewi demanded.
'Fine, but I'm going to need an Ice scream scoop after this.'
Most of the girls where were probably no older than thirteen, Orion really didn't like the idea of putting bullets in them. Yet, the leader lady… well, she sometimes took a child form but right now… she was in an adult form and there were a few older-looking girls. Meaning he wasn't going to feel bad about this. Like the gunslingers of the wild west, Orion drew his hand cannon before any of the girls could acknowledge the danger. In rapid succession, Orion fired off four rounds each finding their mark in a body.
One bullet punched into the girl who was first talking to their leader, Orion had aimed for her kidney. The round easily passed through her sliver clothing, entered her body, and exited out the other side. Clearly, she was not ready for that as was now the ground-screaming bloody mary. The next round found itself in another girl's shoulder, like the first girl the round went right through her pulling out flesh and bone as it went. The third round hit the next oldest girl in the joint connecting her leg to her torso, like the last round it blew a hole clean through her body. The last round slammed into the leader, hitting her liver, however, while the round went in it did not go all the way through.
Orion was on the move again, many of the younger girls looking to their wounded elders as they fell crying out in pain.
The leader on the other hand was not so easily distracted. As Orion took off, he found someone else hot on his trial. Trees flew by as Orion and his pursuer raced through the forest. Orion would turn mid-jump and fire off a few rounds at his pursuer only to have her block the bullets with her blade or dodge them outright. As Orion maneuvered through the forest he noticed that some of the trees began to move in an attempt to try and block his jump or cause him to crash into a branch. Yet, having to maneuver through vex networks, such obstacles were far from new. If anything it only served to make him feel more badass as he easily maneuvered around the new variables.
His pursuer was firing arrows at him, they were much faster than any normal human could fire. he might even put them on the same level as the bows guardians used. As A frequent bow and arrow user himself, Orion understood the strengths and weaknesses of using a bow and arrow. They were good at keeping one hidden and could keep up the sustained barrage, yet arrows were arrows and their size meant they could be snatched out of the air as many experienced guardians and aliens did. Orion also had experience dealing with other bow and arrow users from his time in the Crucible he had a lot of practice catching or knocking arrows off their intended trajectory.
Before long the two launch themselves out of the forest and we're now in open terrain. The woman continued to pursue Orion while he evaded. Deciding to change up his tactics Orion instead of jumping away from her Orion jumped towards his pursuer. the sudden change in tactics caught the woman off guard as Orion brought up his knife in a slashing motion. The plasteel blade biting into the left side of her torso tearing her clothing and spilling golden blood onto the ground. The woman quickly retaliated by throwing a kick into Orion's side. Orion was sent sprawling away from the woman, the strength behind the blow so intense that Orion almost thought he had just been struck by a titan. As Orion recovered from the blow and came to a halt he drew his artifact bow and knocked three arrows.
"Seek," Orion whispered to the arrows causing them to glow blue as they were fired from his bow.
The three streaks of blue race toward their target. The woman prepared her hunting knife and as the arrows drew close she knocked each one off course. However, as the enhanced arrows were knocked off course they immediately changed their own trajectory and begin racing back toward the woman. She noticed the incoming arrows and began to fend them off as they came flying back at her.
With her distracted, Orion knocked another arrow. His artifact bow drew on his light filling the projectile with a stable amount of void light energy. The arrow begin to crack and its integrity began to falter. Before it did Orion fired the arrow, set projectile racing toward the women like a bat out of hell. The woman noticed the arrow racing towards her but was too preoccupied with the three blue arrows to stop it. The unstable arrow struck her body, and in the next moment, the area around her began to twist and contort as a small black hole-like anomaly opened right next to her body. She cried out in pain as her body contorted against the anomaly and the blue arrows found their mark in her body.
While this was happening Orion summoned his Sparrow and took off. However, the guardian did not make it far as a blinding light slammed down on him from above. His Sparrow exploded and his body was sent crashing into the ground as the bright light slammed into his body, his shield soon shattered and the light began to burn away at his armor. The light was not too dissimilar from sol light yet it lacked the raw incinerating power. After a few moments, the blast of light faded allowing the hunter to shakingly get to his feet. he felt like he had just taken a direct hit from a solar tank round. Turning he saw the woman looking towards him without an outstretched hand. She was breathing heavily, her clothes were ruined, and she was bleeding golden blood yet her wounds were already healing.
"What… are you?" She demanded getting to her feet.
"Eh, I thought you knew," Orion replied leveling his hand cannon. "I'm just a hunter."
Her eyes narrowed and her mouth twisted into a snarl. She jumped at the hunter, and Orion opened fire, aiming for her head. Each round was deflected by the woman's dagger. Within moments she closed the distance between them, and the hunter drew his own dagger just in time to parry hers, using his hand cannon to block her second dagger. The two began to trade attacks, each retaliating with strikes, stabs, and parries. To any onlooker, they were both a blur of flying sparks and the occasional splash of blood. The woman would be the first to score the direct hit as she managed to bury her dagger just above Orion's left kneecap. Orion let out a sharp pain filled growl as the silver blade slid into his flesh.
With one of her daggers in his body, Orion used the moment to level his hand cannon. The woman seeing the threat brought her other dagger across hitting the barrel of the gun and knocking it away from her, the bullet just grazing her jacket. However, now Orion's own dagger was without opposition. Channeling his void light into the dagger Orion flipped the knife in his hand and drove into her ribcage. Void light jumped out from the blade obliterating anything around it. Golden blood poured out of the wound. Clenching her teeth the woman surged forward knocking them both down. On the way down the woman pulled back one free dagger and drove it into Orion's shoulder, the blade punching through to the other side. Taking a page out of Saint's book, Orion headbutted the woman before punching her with his dagger hand leaving the weapon stuck in her side.
Grabbing the side of her jacket Orion rolled putting himself on top while her back was in the dirt. The hunter brought up her hand cannon only to have it shot out of his hand by another blast of silver light from the woman's hand. Grabbing him she rolled herself over going back to the position they were in a second ago. Yet Orion's fist had just connected with the pommel of his dagger that was still in her side. Another blast of void energy shot into the woman undoing whatever progress her fast healing had done for her. With an astonishing ability to power through having her internals obliterated by void light, the woman threw a punch into his helmet. The force of the impact sent Orion's head rocketing into the dirt creating an outline of his helmet, if he hadn't known any better he would have assumed he had just been hit by a rookie titan.
Letting out a blood-curdling scream the woman started to hammer his head into the ground. Blow after blow, hit after hit Orion found his head sinking further and further into the ground. Pulling her first back the woman yelled out something and sent another first into his head. Orion's vision became blurry as his helmet cracked and his vision filled with scattered dirt. There was a pungent pause broken by the sound of a pained gasp and a dagger hitting the ground. Orion's vision began to steady, and the dust began to settle, he realized he was in a crater now. From his peripherals, he saw the woman holding her side as golden blood bled through the cracks in her fingers. She pulled a vile out of one of her jacket pockets, a golden liquid sloshed around inside as she shakily brought it to her lips.
"What's your name." The woman's head turned sharply towards him. Orion was still lying in the dirt unmoving. "I've been calling you the woman in my head and it's been getting annoying."
She looked at him with a hateful glare before answering. "I am Artemis of Olympus, goddess of the hunt and moon. You will answer for your crimes."
"You owe me glimmer." A synthetic voice commented.
Artemis turned only to see the barrel of a flaming gun. In the next moment, her head was incinerated by sol light. The rest of her body faded into golden dust soon after. A gathered gasp came from the crater's rim as the silver-clothed girls watched their leader die. The hooded hunter turned towards them and brought his hand up to his mouthpiece and whispered.
"This is the part… where you run away."
And so they did.
Hey everyone, R.O.W. here coming at you with the outro to the latest chapter of 'Heralds of the Traveler'. Now I know it has been a while since Slim has updated, but the man has started his next semester of college and has been focusing on that lately. Now that doesn't mean he hasn't been writing and plotting for his stories, he's still finding some time to sit down and crank out ideas and chapters when he isn't focused on college. So yeah, that's what has been going on lately. If anyone has questions they have regarding the story or wants to ask us our opinion on something, Just leave a review, and I or Slim will answer, or maybe will both answer, who knows? Anywho, I hope y'all enjoyed this latest chapter, and look forward to seeing you all in the next.
