Griffin walked down path three eventually coming across an open area. Waiting for him was Kenzo and Nito. "Damn." Kenzo said under his breath. "What's wrong?" Nito whispered to Kenzo. "Don't you know who that is?! He's the leader of the royal army, our chances of surviving are basically zero!" Kenzo whispered back to Nito. "We have no choice, we have to fight him for the future of the Black Hand, for Solstice!" Nito said a little too loud. Griffin just continued to stand there looking at Kenzo and Nito. "You put the Black Hand over your life?!" Kenzo whispered to Nito. "Of course! Don't you?" Nito whispered back. Kenzo realized how pointless it was to try to talk Nito into running and if Kenzo was the only one that ran it would only make it easier for Griffin to kill both of them. They had a better chance fighting together. "Oh, what the hell, let's just get this over with." Kenzo said preparing himself to fight. "Before I kill you two, let me ask you a question." Griffin said, pointing at Kenzo. "What type of creature are you?" Griffin asked. "If I answer, will you spare me?" Kenzo asked halfheartedly, already knowing the answer "Unfortunately I cannot." Griffin responded. "Well, I guess you're never going to find out." Kenzo said. "Very well then." Griffin said as he unsheathed his sword, the sword was made out of steel and had yellow lines on its hilt. Griffin dashed at Kenzo, Kenzo grew wings out of his back and started to fly backwards into the air, meanwhile Nito jumped away from Griffin and Kenzo. He put his hands together and touched the ground. A big light blue circle appeared on the ground. The circle was constantly spinning and had a star shape in the middle. A giant stag beetle appeared out of the summoning circle. "Kill him!" Nito ordered the giant beetle. Griffin looked at the beetle, "A summoner? I should deal with him first." Griffin thought in his head. Griffin focused his attention to the beetle and ran straight to it. The beetle tried to crush Solstice with its pincers, but Solstice was too fast, he jumped over the stag beetle and with one swing of his sword decapitated the beetle. "What?!" Nito was shocked at Solstice's speed and strength, before Solstice could do the same thing to Nito Kenzo flew over to Nito and lifted him into the air with his talons. "Ow, your talons are digging into my shoulders!" Nito complained. "That's the least of your problems, there's no way we're going to be able to kill Griffin, we need to r-." before Kenzo could finish his sentence Griffin's sword had pierced his heart. The end of the sword was sticking out of Kenzo's chest. Kenzo fell to the ground, dropping Nito. "Kenzo! Kenzo get up!" Nito said as he shook Kenzo's body. Blood started coming out of Kenzo. "Dammit, sorry Kenzo." Nito said as he got up and ran through the tunnel path leaving Kenzo. "Solstice is my only hope!" Nito thought to himself as he ran. Solstice slowly walked over to Kenzo's body and took the sword out of Kenzo's chest. "I hate cowards." Solstice said as he walked after Nito.
