Episode 4: Partying and Punching
Greetings. JoeKerr here with another chapter of Spider-Guy. I don't have much to say here, and would rather be writing the story, than typing useless things you guys don't care about. With that being said, enjoy the chapter.
Tyler, Harold, and Ezekiel were driving down the road to Elias's mansion. The car ride was very quiet, and that was fine. Harold was listening to the Morbius soundtrack on his phone. Ezekiel was just sitting in the back, staring at his feet. And of course Tyler was driving. They weren't that far away, so the drive didn't last. "We're here dudes." Tyler said. Ezekiel unbuckled and got out of the car, and Harold didn't hear him. Tyler rolled his eyes and pinched Harold's arm. "OW! GOSH!" Harold yelled. "We're here idiot, c'mon." Tyler told him. Harold put his phone away and the two of them got out of the car. There were cars everywhere already, and there were flashing lights coming from inside, so they knew the party was gonna be lit. The boys walked up and knocked on the door. After a few seconds, it opened. Elias had opened the door. His clothing was ruffled and his hair was all messy. "Hey guys. Come on in, make yourself comfortable, and have a blast!" he said to the three boys. They all walked inside, and stuck together. There were disco lights and tons of people. Tyler looked around, and he came to the conclusion that everyone in their grade was there, and more. Bart's parties were always great, so Tyler and the guys split up and did different things.
Tyler walked over and sat down on the couch next to Elias. "Hey man." Tyler greeted. "Oh hey, what's up?" Elias asked. "Nothin' just felt like coming over and chatting with you." "Oh...well thanks. I appreciate it." Elias responded. The two were quiet for a while. "So...do you want something to drink?" Elias asked. "Oh sure, thanks." Tyler responded. "Yeah, I got you." Elias said as he got up and headed to the fridge. Tyler looked at the tv. Tyler rolled his eyes when he saw what was on the screen. It was Suicide Squad. Elias loved the movie, even though most people hated it. Just as Jared Leto's Joker came on screen, Tyler scrolled through the channels. He finally found a good movie. The Amazing Spider-Man 2, a classic. It was at the end of the movie, Spider-Man vs The Green Goblin, Harry Osborn. Tyler's eyes were glues on the screen. He didn't notice that his girlfriend Lindsay had sat down next to him and started blabbering about Bridgette. After a few minutes, Tyler snapped back into reality and heard his girlfriend. "Huh? Oh, sorry babe. I zoned out." Tyler explained. "It's alright Taylo-" "Tyler." he corrected. "Right, Tyler. Anyways, I heard Bridgette and your little friend Ezekiel have been hanging out a lot." she said to him. "I guess so. I haven't really been hanging out with the guy until recently." he responded. Tyler looked back behind the couch and saw Ezekiel standing with Cody, Gwen, Noah and Bridgette. He looked like he was having fun, but he also looked shy. Tyler then saw Ezekiel and Bridgette start talking. Tyler grinned, he knew how Ezekiel felt about Bridgette, but he also knew that Geoff, her ex would go off on him for attempting to make a move.
Elias was in the bathroom, staring at himself in the mirror. He fixed his hair and put on a fake smile, a charming one. Elias then walked out of the bathroom, and started walking around. "Yo! Bart! Sick party!" "Thanks, I appreciate it", "Elias, you're so cool!" "I try my best!", "Bro, you should totally hang with us after this" "No thanks, I'm busy, maybe next time though!". As Elias was greeting people, he walked over to Geoff. "Hey, Geoff!" Elias greeted him. "Yo! Bart-Man! Awesome party dude!" Geoff responded. "Yeah, thanks, I appreciate it. Listen, I was just over in the living room, and I saw Ezekiel talking up with Bridgette". Geoff paused, and looked over to the two talking. "It looks like Zeke is getting...comfortable. If you know what I mean." Elias said. This made Geoff furious. He charged over to Duncan and told him about the situation. Then, Elias saw the two go over to them, and Geoff started yelling.
Tyler turned around in shock when he heard yelling behind him. "Are you kidding me Bridge?! The weird new kid?!" Geoff yelled. "We were just talking!" She yelled back. Duncan grabbed Ezekiel by the collar, and held him up in the air. Tyler saw this, and ran out to the car. "Tyler, where are you going?!" Lindsay yelled as Tyler ran outside. He opened the trunk of the car, and grabbed the web shooters and wall climbers. Then, he realized. He didn't want people to know it was him doing this, as it was a very abstract thing to do, and it could get him harassed. He looked around and saw a red ski mask and put it on with a pair of silver sunglasses over the eyes. He loaded the web shooters, and powered on the wall climbers and climbed up onto the roof of the house. Tyler climbed down the wide chimney, and kept going until he was in the living room.
Tyler rolled out of the fireplace, and hid under a table. From what he could see, Geoff and Bridgette were still arguing, and Duncan was holding Ezekiel. Then, he saw Ezekiel's lips move, but couldn't hear him. This caused Duncan to punch Ezekiel square in the face. Tyler got out from under the table, and shot a web at Duncan's back, and pulled him towards himself, causing the punk to fall to the ground. "What the hell?!" Duncan yelled in shock. "Hey punk, keep your hands to yourself!" Tyler said, masking his voice. "Who the hell is this clown?" Geoff asked. "Fucking Spider-Man Chinese knock-off." Duncan said. Tyler frowned under his mask. He shot webs at both Duncan and Geoff's mouths. "That wasn't very nice, especially the clown part". Duncan got up and cut the web off with his pocket knife. "Fucking prick!" Duncan said as he was charging at Tyler. Tyler jumped and clung to the wall. He looked around and saw people recording him. "Fuck" he said to himself. Tyler saw Ezekiel pour punch on the ground as Duncan got up, causing him to slip and get soaked. Duncan grabbed a metal pole to pull himself up.
Elias leaned against the table, observing the interaction that was going on. "Oh...now THIS is good." he said to himself. He walked over to the scene, holding his phone and recording. Elias slipped in the punch, but caught himself, but dropped his phone in the wet mess.
Tyler watched in shock as Duncan was electrocuted. He realized that Elias's phone, which is electronic, short-circuited in the water. and the electricity moved to the metal pole, electrocuting Duncan. Duncan screamed in pain, the crowd of people screamed in terror. Tyler pulled out his phone and called the police before swinging out of the house. Tyler waited on the roof until the cops arrived, but to his surprise, Bartcorp trucks pulled up instead. Tyler watched as men and suits collected Duncan, and put him in the back of the truck. Tyler didn't think about it for too long. He was tired, and wanted to go home.
Tyler swung through the city, slowly getting the hang of going building to building. Eventually, he got the hang of it, and tried flipping in the air. To his surprise, he did it. Tyler swung over to a building, and climbed up it, and sat on the roof, his legs dangling over the edge. He couldn't stop thinking about what had happened at the party.
Eventually, Tyler got home. He decided to avoid waking up his parents, so he climbed up the side of the house, and went through the window. He took off his makeshift mask, and took off his school clothes. He put the red hoodie and blue jeans in the hamper, and switched it out of just his boxers, socks, and a tank-top.
He sat at his desk, and began thinking about his night. He realized that he could be a hero to people, even without superpowers. He could stand for something, and he could try his best to make Canada a better place for people. Tyler grabbed a sketch pad and began to sketch designs for a costume to wear. He didn't want to just make a generic Spider-Man suit, because then people wouldn't take him seriously. He wanted to put his own spin on it. He decided to wear his red hoodie, and sew a spider logo on it, and also his blue sweatpants, and sew the hoodie and pants together, to make it an actual suit. He would also spray paint his running shoes red and blue in the morning. For the mask, he grabbed a pair of blue sunglasses with black frames, and cut out the ear and nose rests, so they looked like lenses. He sewed them to the mask. Tyler looked at his suit so far, and realized it wouldn't protect him much, and decided he would spray paint elbow and knee pads to protect his sensitive joints. He was happy with what he had so far. He hung up the suit he had so far, and went to bed.
Elias walked over to the Bartcorp trucks after everyone left other than Caelen, Alex, and Logan, and handed the men in suits a stack of cash. Thanks for coming, but leave him here. I'm gonna put him in the lab under the house for...testing. The men nodded and drove off after Elias got Duncan out of the back. "What're you gonna do with him bro?" Caelen asked. "Why do you even have him mate? Seems kinda illegal." Logan added. "Boys, after seeing that...spider fella, I've had an epiphany. Where there are heroes, villains will follow. That will be us". "Why us?" Alex asked. "For fun. This city is so boring. Might as well spice it up a bit. I don't know, I'm sure the person writing this will give me a good backstory that gets revealed later, that reveals the true reason why I'm doing this." Elias said. The other boys shrugged as the took Duncan inside and down into the lab under Bartlett Manor.
The lab was huge. There were crates everywhere, vending machines, coffee makers, arcade machines, worktables, mechanical suits in chambers behind cells, and even a black ooze things that was moving, almost as if it was alive. "Welcome, to the Bartcave." Elias said. "You see, I have all these suits already made, each with a certain...kink to them. Each of you will be assigned a suit that I feel best suits your abilities." Elias explained as he sat at a very long table with one seat at the end, and three other seats at either side. Each of the boys took a seat. "Caelen, you're gonna be know as...Bad Company! I made this just for you, knowing how you're a fan of JoJo. I made you millions of tiny army men that obey your every control. For you costume, you'll be wearing a bulletproof, camo tuxedo, which when activated, makes you invisible to everyone until you turn it off. You'll also have a bulletproof military helmet and goggles with a green gasmask over your mouth. Stylish and protective." Elias explained. Caelen looked happy, the outfit shown looked great, and was happy to basically have a real life stand. "Logan! You're gonna be know as...MYSTERIO!" Elias exclaimed. Logan looked intrigued. "Based off the classic Spider-Man villain! I have made you a red, black, and gold armor with a dome helmet, all of which is bulletproof. You have an army of drones on your side, what has advanced holograph and illusion tech on your side, and you're the only one who can tell that it isn't real!" Elias finished. Logan looked hyped as he saw the amazing suit on the screen. "Alex, Alexander, my man, you are...The Vulture! You have a full green wingsuit that allows you to fly, and you can shoot the spike-like wings at people and things. Fully bulletproof, and very lightweight and easy to move in. Also very aerodynamic." Elias said. All of the boys seemed pleased with their individual suits. "Boys, it gets better. Duncan over here has vast amounts of electricity coursing through his body right now, so I have a suit in the works for him that allows him to channel that electricity and shoot it out of his hands. His suit is also bulletproof and is green and yellow body armor with a matching helmet. It also allows him to fly around if he wishes." Elias said proudly. "And finally, myself." Elias started. "You see, I'm the guy in charge. I am going to be know as...JoeKerr." Elias said in a menacing voice. "My outfit is a simple dark purple suit with a dark green dress shirt and dark red tie, dark brown dress shoes whith retractable knives in them. The suit itself is a special bulletproof cloth. I'll also be wearing white facepaint and red lipstick, as the charcter The Joker does in some Batman comics. Any questions?" Elias asked. Nobody said anything. "I do have a backup plan, but that's only if we get overpowered. It's very risky and could put myself in danger, but worth it." Elias told them. "Now then, let's start planning shall we?" Elias asked. All of the boys grouped together and started working on a plan for a grand entrance.
Editors note: welp, it's been a while since an update, but I finally got around to writing again, and here it is! Hopefully you enjoy this chapter, it is a longer one after all. I'm gonna try and work on this more, but school has been keeping me busy, so we'll see.
