Chapter 7: Meanwhile or whatever
At a prison of some sort somewhere
"Get in there." Some guard yelled as he shoved the last of the Holograms into the cell
"They caught you too?" asked a girl of Asian descent that had what appeared to be metal wings on her back
"Yeah, what is this place?" Jerrica asked
"We aren't sure most of us were knocked out and brought here." Replied a blonde girl that was sitting nearby "You should see what I did to the guard when I woke up."
"Was that the one that had a black eye?" asked a voice belonging to a girl in the corner that had bluish black hair as she tried to calm down a young teenage girl with black hair that was on the verge of freaking out
"What is going on?" Shana asked as she looked at the other people in the cells warily
"Long story short they capture mutants or people they think are mutants and bring them here." A brunet in the corner said "Lexie if your family is involved in this I'm going to kill them."
"Be my guest though if it's my brother I call first dibs." The girl known as Lexie replied
"Um can we get names and powers if no one minds?" Raya asked
"I'll start," the lady in the corner said "my name is Elisa Maza I'm a detective in New York I can turn into any type of cat animal as far as I know."
"My name is Trini Kwan," the Asian girl said "my powers are obvious."
"My name is Kaitlin Star as far as I know I'm not a mutant so no clue why I'm here though I think it's due to other factors which I can't mention due to confidentiality stuff."
"My name is Hope Brady; I'm a former cop as well I can turn into this red flying monster thing."
"My name is Lexie Carver I'm a doctor and my power is well I'm not sure how to describe it some kind of x-ray thing and if my brother is behind this I'm going to kill him."
I'm Jerrica Benton; threse are my friends Shana and Raya as far as I know we aren't mutants."
"I am." Raya muttered quietly
"What, why didn't you ever tell us?" Jerrica asked
"I was scared but was going to then that whole mess with Aja happened."
"I want to go home." The younger girl from earlier said in fright
"Hey don't cry, what's your name?" Jerrica asked kindly
"Hotaru Tomoe I can heal people, I really wish I hadn't taken that trip from Japan now."
"Anyone have any ideas?" Shana asked
"I have a communication type device in my pocket; if those guys haven't taken it maybe we can use it to send a homing device."
"Will that work?"
"It should I know people who are good at tracking down signals." "I know this isn't Grimlord's idea it doesn't fit his m.o."
"Grimlord?" Raya asked in confusion
"You aren't familiar with Crossworld city are you, Grimlord is basically the villain that shows up and causes mayhem."
"Sounds like Rita." Trini mumbled to herself
"What?"
"Oh nothing."
"We need a bit more power to boost the signal." Kaitlin said as she messed with the device
"Try this but be careful with it." Jerrica said as she handed over one of her earrings "It has electronics in it."
"You sure that's a good idea?" Shana whispered
"No but we need to get out of here." Jerrica replied as Kaitlin fiddled with the device
"Any luck?" Trini asked
"Just about I sent the signal off to some people who can help us, now we just have to wait for the signal."
Meanwhile somewhere else
"Sir I'm picking up readings it looks like some kind of signal, like a s.o.s." The person working the communications system responded.
"Understood send a message to the Joes on the East Coast and give them the coordinates." Whithalf said
Back at the Pit…
"So what are the people here like?" Kimber asked
"Out of the short time I've been here, very weird." Aja said as a scream was heard
"I am going to kill them!" Beach Head yelled from where he was stuck to the ceiling outside
"I don't even want to know."
Suddenly what sounded like a bunch of singing was heard
"Aja what's going on?"
"No clue."
"Oh great they are serenading outside again." Althea said as she came into the room
"Yeah can you do something about this?"
"You in a relationship?"
"Um yes." Kimber replied as Althea yelled out the window
"SHE'S TAKEN GO AWAY!" with that said the group dispersed
"What was that about?" Aja asked
"Oh a lot of the guys have the habit of hitting on women and most of the women on the team are taken or scare them."
"Scare them?"
"Oh they hit on Cover Girl who was in a bad mood she chased them with a tank."
"So um my names Kimber I'm one of Aja's foster sisters who are you?"
"Oh nice to meet you my names Althea, they call me Wavedancer I'm kind of the leader of this squad of mutants or squad of loons depending on the timeframe."
"DIE COYOTE!" Lance yelled as he ran by with a bat
"Oh great, he's seeing things again."
"Wee!" Xi yelled as he went bouncing by
"Speaking of insanity, who let Xi have cookies?"
"Sorry," Wanda yelled as she tried to throttle Pietro "my idiot of a brother had them and left them out."
"All Joes report to the meeting room, Misfits and Civilians go back to quarters and wait for instructions and get Beach Head off the roof!" Hawk yelled over the intercom
"You call your group the Misfits?" Kimber asked in confusion
"Well we are a bunch of misfits." Althea said with a shrug
"Oh there you are babe." Todd said as he hopped up to Althea
"Hi Toddles."
"Babe not in front of the others."
"So is this a normal situation here?" Aja asked
"Usually not like this if Hawk doesn't want our group there it's something really big." Althea replied
"Hawk was always pretty good about this type of stuff." Aja said
"Oh you know him?"
"A little bit he knew my father for years before he died."
A few minutes later the group noticed many of the Joes leaving
"I have a bad feeling about this." Althea said as she noticed Bree come up to them
"What's going on?" Wanda asked
"The Joes are going on a mission they want you kids to stay here."
"But we can help." Toad argued
"I know but it's from higher up, so we don't have a choice."
