The Vollachian Prince and Stargazer
AN: Some minor grammar and spelling edits on past chapters. An extended grooming scene between Puck and Emilia and a kissing scene with Subaru in Chapter 6. This was supposed to be part of Chapter 6 but it was running long, so this is shorter.
Chapter Begins
It was starting to reach 1 pm when Subaru awoke from his nap on Emilia's lap. As he turned his head up and opened his eyes, Emilia smiled down at him. "Welcome back Subaru-sama."
"Ah, it's good to be back Emilia-tan." Subaru-sama smiled back from her lap. "I suppose we should be going to a restaurant for lunch. I know a good one."
"Oh, and what is the name of this place Subaru-sama?"
Standing up and offering Emilia his hand, Subaru-sama replied as he helped Emilia up, "It's called the Three Yokes. And a good friend frequents it. We should hurry before he drinks himself into a stupor before the sun even goes down."
"Subaaaru-sama, is he a friend or a soon to be friend?" Emilia asked as she wondered if this was due to his Stargazing.
"Eh, well soon to be, he will be a little confused at first. But he will come around." Subaru-sama reassured her.
After a short walk they came to the restaurant and Subaru made a beeline straight to a grey-haired fellow in a green outfit. "Otto, you shouldn't drink so early, you'll die young."
The grey-haired man looked up in confusion at Subaru, "Uh, have we met before?"
"Subaru-sama is a Stargazer. You get used to it." Emilia helpfully added.
"Star… Wait you're…"
"Not so loud Otto, lets go over to a side booth and discuss things over lunch." Subaru-sama cut off Otto as he took Emilia's hand.
Heading over to a booth, Subaru let Emilia slide in first, then sat next to her. Otto sat across from them. A waitress seeing them settle, came up to them. "Are you ready to order?"
"Oh, sure Alexa, tell Uriah I would like a platter of dorrel sausages, and 4 eggs, and Emilia would like a chicken salad with erenko soup." Subaru-sama spoke.
The waitress blinked, "Have we met before? And Uriah's name is only given to people he considers a true friend."
Emilia giggled, Subaru-sama was so forward with his Stargazing, but also able to win people over so easily. It was fascinating to watch him win the waitress over with such easy charm that the waitress didn't even notice her.
"So uh, may I ask what I have done to deserve your patronage your highness?" Otto asked as the waitress left.
"Call me Subaru, Otto, as for why I am here, I need someone with a good head on their shoulders to take over the Crown Inspectors and sit on the Sage Council. You have the connections and the means to organize the largely Six Tongues personnel that will compose it and the resolve to kick out people who would be troublesome to enforcing the law."
Otto blinked. "Eh? What? Me?"
"Subaru-sama has this effect on people, it threw me off at first as well." Emilia helpfully added.
"Why do I feel like I will regret taking this job?" Otto asked rhetorically.
"Pay will be 10 Holy Coins a month, 5 weeks paid vacation per year, paid sick leave, and direct access to me via the Sage Council Seat the position comes with." Subaru sweetened the deal.
Otto stared for a moment then sighed, "You are a scary negotiator with your Stargazing Subaru-sama. Fine, you got yourself a deal."
Emilia clapped her hands together at how Subaru-sama had easily sealed the deal and smiled at Otto.
"When she smiles like that, how can I continue to be depressed," Otto smiled back as Emilia's food was brought in first.
"Emilia-tan's smiles are a replacement for food itself in keeping me going. The energy will rub off on you as well Otto." Subaru-sama replied with a grin.
Emilia pinched Subaru's cheek's and held up her free finger in a lecturing tone, "Subaru-sama, no skipping meals just because I smiled. You need to be healthy as can be to run the country."
"Okaay, okay, Emilia-tan, I will eat 3 meals like a good boy." Subaru-sama replied back quickly.
Satisfied, Emilia let go as Alexa brought Subaru and Otto's plates.
"Subaru-sama, I didn't expect to see you here." Reinhard announced as he entered with a raven-haired, black-eyed, woman in a revealing dress. She was holding Reinhard's left arm between her breasts, but barely came up to his chest in height.
Emilia had never seen this woman before and was curious who she was. "Oh, hi Reinhard, and um, I'm sorry but I don't know your name."
Reinhard's companion was taken aback by that, but smiled. "I am Elsa van Astrea, Reinhard's wife."
"Congratulations Reinhard, Elsa!" Emilia squealed in joy, clapping her hands to the right of her in happiness for them.
"Thank you, Emilia-sama, it was Subaru-sama who enabled us to meet, and we were married shortly after," Reinhard explained.
"Indeed, if not for Subaru-sama, I and Reinhard would not have met," Elsa added, hiding her utter shock at just how far Subaru's powers had erased her from all memories.
Meili didn't even recognize her and it took a little bit of work to open Meili up again before coming here to eat. But if giving her body to the Sword Saint at night was the price to keep Meili safe from Mother, then Elsa would bear it. Though she was surprised Reinhard didn't do a proper wedding, just opting to have a Cleric furnish the documents and sign it, citing the will of Od Laguna. Per Subaru's instructions, she ditched her tights and only her excellent posture, breathing, and body control kept her from flashing everyone. She would be present with Reinhard at all social functions, gather intel, and on missions, she would be the blade in the dark. Prince Subaru had truly given Elsa a second life as an Astrea.
"Well Reinhard, I pray she gives you a son," Emilia gushed.
Elsa smiled outwardly with a blush, inwardly, 'Why did she have to remind me that part of this is the risk of pregnancy?'
"Well as it so happens, I have just received the Divine Protection of perfect conception that will ensure that tonight, Emilia-sama." Reinhard spoke with a smile.
Elsa continued to put on her smiling and blushing face, but an astute observer would note a flash of horror in her eyes at Reinhard's statement. 'I never stated I wanted a child, but I can't stop him even if I wanted to!'

Emilia held out her arms as Puck unhooked her bra, letting her breasts free. She then stepped out of her panties.
"Arms up, Lia," Puck instructed as he tossed the bra and panty into a clothes hamper, and went to her wardrobe to select her nightwear.
Emilia complied, not questioning it as she readied herself for her first night with Subaru. Picking out a white silk thigh-length, side less poncho, split to the navel and small of her back, Puck slipped it over Emilia's shoulders and secured it with a silk belt. Subaru would have easy access and Emilia could remain covered in the morning.
Puck then opened a chest with a glass and bottle of wine that had been specially fermented in a way known to induce euphoria, disinhibition, enhanced libido and empathogenic states.
"I am giving you a glass of this special wine; you'll drink all of it to help you relax." Puck ordered as he poured a glass for Emilia before handing it to her.
Finishing it quickly, Emilia smiled, "This is good Puck, can I have another glass?"
Puck crossed his arms in an X, "Nope just one glass. That way you are prepared for Subaru, moderation is key in all things."
Emilia pouted at Puck who stood firm and began shooing her back to her bedroom for her important first night and the conception of her first daughter.
"Betty has lit the candles like you asked Bubby, in fact." Beatrice announced as they entered the room which was now lit up by candles emitting a white rose scent.
"Ah thank you Beako," Emilia gushed as she hugged her loli spirit.
"Ugh, Betty's contactor will never ditch that bad habit I suppose." Beatrice grumped.
"Now, now, Beako, Subaru-sama is not that bad and if you spend time with him, he will melt your heart." Emilia teased her spirit.
"Spend time with that rude and shady boy, never in fact. If I could, I would bar him from my Library, but he keeps defeating my door crossing like its nothing I suppose."
"Ah, you're so cute when your mad Beatrice, but its time we clear out so Subaru-sama and Lia can have their first night. And Lia, try not to be up all night, it's bad for your skin." Puck mock died and dissipated into light, from his crystal he would control Emilia's fertility and ensure she only had a daughter from tonight.
"Hmmpf, just thinking about what I have to allow makes me sick in fact, but a contract is a contract, Betty will be in the library if you need me and Nee-chan." Walking over to a door, Beatrice left for her Library.
Emilia smiled and went to her bed, a moment later, Subaru-sama entered in a silk robe that was opened to show his bare chest and boxers. His contracted spirits floated above him, prompting Emilia's lesser spirits to come out as well
"Ah, Subaru-sama," Emilia greeted her shujin as she walked up to him, their lesser spirits excitedly intermingling and chatting above them.
"You didn't wait too long I hope Emilia-tan," Subaru stated as he took her in his arms.
"Not at all Subaru-sama," Emilia smiled as she looked up to him.
With no resistance, Emilia let Subaru kiss her, opening her mouth and allowing him access with his tongue. After a minute they broke apart to breathe and Subaru picked her up and carried her to the bed. Gently laying her down, Subaru removed his robe and began kissing her again as their spirits floated above them.
Moving down, Subaru began kissing Emilia's neck as she sighed in contentment. As he went lower to her breasts, she started to feel pleasures she had never known before, Subaru knowing just how to get her to flutter in pleasure before her moved lower and lower.
When Subaru's tongue began caressing her vulva, Emilia exploded in wordless pleasure and ecstasy as Subaru's tongue slipped in between her nether lips. "Subaru-sama!"
As Emilia felt a glow over her, Subaru moved back up and she felt a poke at her nether lips before feeling a fullness in her. With their lesser spirits swirling around them, Emilia surrendered herself to Subaru's direction and moaned in pleasure with every thrust before Subaru tensed up and then released.
Subaru dropped to the side, and Emilia let Subaru scoop her onto his chest. Purring, Emilia ran her fingers over Subaru's chest as he covered them with her sheets.
"Subaru-sama, aishiteru," Emilia breathed as their lesser spirits hovered above them.

"Put Betty down! Put Betty down!"
Subaru plopped Beatrice in her chair for breakfast after retrieving her from the library by throwing her over his shoulder. Annerose staring in shock at how casually Subaru-sama handled the Great Spirit.
"Sorry Beako, but breakfast is important and I did call for you." Emilia chided the loli.
"Indeed Betty, I thought you liked eating with me," Puck added as he floated over.
"And our contractor would like to ensure we all eat healthy as well." Echidna joined in.
"Breakfast is a sacred rite of the morning if we have no pressing issues to attend to. And as head of the Household, all who can attend it are to attend or I will find you and bring you to the table." Subaru-sama laid down the law.
"Hmmpf, everyone is always ganging up on Betty now, in fact."
"Now, now Beako, lets eat so we can attend the Church together. As a Dragon Priestess chosen by Volcanica, I have certain religious rites to attend to and its best I don't do them on an empty stomach and best that you don't either as you'll be accompanying me." Emilia lectured. This was an important event and Puck had made sure to find the perfect dress for the occasion, settling on a floor length blue gown with attached sleeves and only her hands and head showing.
"Even I have to attend," Subaru pointed out.
"Volcanica would be shocked at how you children worship him in fact." Betty grumped as she began eating the eggs.
Annerose wisely kept silent on that, instead choosing to focus on her role in this, "So for the ritual, I will be lighting the censers of the dragon Emily?"
"Yes, Beako will assist you in this, hence why you both have matching green dresses for today and the same hairband as decided by Puck. I will recite the prayers to the Divine Dragon for the protection of the Sacred Pack as you do so."
"I will put on a bit of a light show to wow the crowd with the lesser spirits." Echidna explained her part.
"I will be sitting with the Sage Council and restrain myself from shooing out the cat burglars and sycophants." Puck added.
"And I will be kneeling before the altar with the Yang Sword on the Altar and head uncrowned and bowed to show my piety and commitment to the faith as Emilia performs the rite." Subaru-sama spoke. "Whatever we think of the church, its support is vital and we want the faithful on our side."
"Hai Subaru-sama, we will do our best," Emilia agreed before taking a large bite of her eggs.

Moving up to the Altar with Beatrice and Annerose, the lesser spirits amplifying her glow in Holy Light as Subaru suggested in the lighting, Emilia held up her Dragon Insignia. "I am Emilia, Royal Concubine of the Prince Regent Subaru, Chosen Dragon Priestess of Volcanica, and Princess of Elior Forest. Is there a supplicant who vows to uphold the Holy Pact?"
The doors to the Cathedral opened and Subaru entered in a white uniform with Purple Cape bearing the appropriated Mather's Crest and a dragon clasp held his cloak on. His lesser spirits floating above him. He walked up alone and unguarded, a carefully calculated move as Subaru-sama explained to her, both sending a political and religious message. As he came up, he raised his own Dragon Insignia high and summoned the Yang Sword before placing it on the Altar as Annerose and Beatrice lit the censers.
"I Subaru Natsuki, Prince Regent of the Holy Dragon Kingdom of Lugnica, and champion of its people without regard to age, gender, class, or race vow to uphold the pact." Subaru-sama spoke as he knelt before the altar.
Emilia opened her arms out and apart with palms up as her and Subaru's lesser spirits congregated together and Echidna manipulated the lighting in the cathedral to enhance and minimize certain light effects while she felt Puck manipulate the smoke from the censers. "The Divine Dragon Volcanica, our most Holy God Dragon and protector, looks upon his champions with favor. If you hold fast to his tenets, do justice in all your actions, stand by your duty when others run from it, and protect those who can't protect themselves, then thou shalt be found worthy of his aid. Break faith with Volcanica, and he will withdraw his support and blessings from you. May the Divine Dragon aid, protect, and guide our Prince Regent, the light in the darkness, our hope against the darkness, our protector from the darkness, and our savior from the darkness. May the blessing of the spirits be with him, especially my beloved father Puck, my beloved Echidna, and my beloved Beatrice. May the true knights of this realm pledge their swords to his cause. And may the people put their faith in him. For Subaru Natsuki, chosen of the Divine Dragon, does Volcanica's will, amen. Rise our Prince Regent and take up your blade, and may you only ever wield it for justice that glorifies Volcanica and never injustice that displeases Volcanica."
Subaru rose up and came up to the altar and Emilia's lesser spirits raised the Yang Sword and handed it over to Subaru's lesser Yang Spirits who placed it Subaru's Hands. Turning towards the crowd, Subaru raised the blade over his head with the blade pointing left before bringing it down to tap to his forehead and then hold across to his chest before dissipating it. Their part done, Emilia went around the altar and placed her right hand into Subaru's left hand so as not to interfere with his sword arm, and used her left hand to lift her skirt a bit to walk down the steps. Two young pages came up to help Beatrice and Annerose down as well.
Going to the first row where Reinhard Elsa, and Puck were sitting, Emilia, Subaru, Beatrice, Annerose, and the two pages joined them. The Sage Council sat behind them with their wives, if they were married. The Pope then came forth to deliver the Sermon. Looking at Puck, Emilia frowned and pinched his ear, startling him awake.
"Puck, stay awake," Emilia pouted before turning back to the Pope's sermon.
AN: Next chapter there will be a lot of meetings, Emilia will be meeting noblewomen, performing religious rites as a Dragon Priestess which was never really touched on in the series. We know Lugnica has an extensive Church but somehow the ones running to be the Sovereign are not seen in Church or performing rites despite being named as Dragon Priestesses?
