"Callie" Arizona called as she ran up behind me and smacked my ass. I jumped slightly and I turned around just as I felt Arizona pushing me off down a quiet hallway. "This weekend. Mom and Dad have asked to have Sofia so that means you and I have the entire weekend to ourselves" Arizona exclaimed as she pushed her lips against mine. I smiled into the kiss and returned it before pulling away just as a young doctor turned the corner.
"Dr Robbins, Dr Torres" he said as he passed the two of us.
"Do you think he saw?" I asked nervously. We hadn't told anybody about our relationship and quite frankly that was the way I wanted to keep it. At least until Porter told us we could finally have sex.
"No Callie. Who cares if they did anyway. I want to kiss you; I don't care who knows that" Arizona said slightly annoyed.
"Sorry. I know the fact I don't like PDA annoys you. I'm trying to do better at that. I just don't…"
Arizona nodded in understand. "I know. Can we talk about this weekend though? I thought seeing as we can't have sex maybe we could go somewhere. My Dad has a cabin in Colorado and I thought maybe you and I could go there for the weekend. We can spa in the woods and watch porn together. We can walk around naked and imagine having sex with one another" Arizona chuckled as she tugged on my scrub shirt and pulled me into a kiss. "We could break the rules" Arizona begged.
Arizona and I had been at odds about Dr Porters approach to fixing our relationship. Arizona had this ridiculous theory that Dr Porter was doing this as a form of punishment for all the things she had walked done, she even theorized that maybe Dr Porter was in love with me. I on the other hand thought not having sex gave us some excitement and made it easier for us to talk about things we wouldn't talk about if we were having sex. I wanted it just as badly, but I wanted us to work out even more.
"We are not breaking the rules. You heard what Dr Porter said. No sex" I reminded her. "Bu…t" I said before kissing her cheek and escaping from the tight gap between her and the wall "I'll go to Colorado with you" I said in a playful tone as I down the hallway.
I was meant to be leaving to Colorado with Arizona in half an hour and I hadn't packed or got Sofia ready to leave let alone prepared myself to leave. "Baby grab your tooth brush from the bathroom" I called out as I neatly packed her bag with all the necessities she might need for the long weekend.
Sofia ran in carrying her toothbrush and she placed it on the end of the bed, "thanks" I said as I packed that too. "Is there anything else you want to take to Nana and Granddads?" I asked her curiously.
"Ooooh what about Teddy?" Sofia exclaimed as she grabbed her teddy from her bed.
"Go on then. Chuck it in" I said as I grabbed the beer from her and placed him neatly on top of her bag. "Go put your shoes on. Nana and Granddad will be here any minute." And just as I instructed Sofia ran off to put on her shoes. I headed to my bedroom, grabbed a duffel bag and stuffed everything and anything in there. I really didn't know what Arizona had planned for this weekend so I packed for multiple different activities. I knew Arizona was ready to take the next step and it felt a lot like we were ready but every Friday I was reminded we weren't. Arizona had, had an emergency surgery this week so I had gone alone to see Dr Porter. Dr Porter gave me a list of questions that Arizona and I could ask each other to help us get in touch with one another's hopes and desires for the future. I loved the idea, I already knew Arizona would not. I zipped up my bag and carried it out into the lounge so it was already to go when Arizona arrived. There was a knock at the door which startled Sofia as she slipped on her shoes.
"NANA, GRANDDAD" she called as she ran to the door to reveal Arizona's parents.
Barbara picked up Sofia and kissed her head as both Arizona's parents greeted their only grandchild. "Callie, you are looking good" Barbara commented as she handed Sofia off to Daniel then headed towards me to greet me. "I hope us taking Sofia isn't taking her away from you on your days off."
"Ohhh no" I reassured her. "I actually have a conference to go to so this works out perfect."
"Arizona said she had a conference too. Is it the same one?" Daniel asked curiously.
Of course Arizona had said the same. "Oh no. I doubt she is interested in a prosthetics conference" I lied.
Daniel and Barbara nodded in unison before looking towards the bag that was obviously Sofia's. "Well thank you for letting us have her, we will bring her back Sunday night in one piece" Barbara explained as she picked up Sofia's bag. "Do you want to say goodbye to Mummy?"
Sofia wiggled down from Daniels arms and ran towards me. I picked her growing body up and I held her close my hand holding her head into my shoulder like a mother would a new born. "I'm going to miss you" I mumbled against the side of her ear as I kissed her over and over again.
"Mummy, stop kissing me" the little girl chuckled and she squirmed in my arms.
"I love you sweet girl" I said before kissing her one last time and placing her on the ground. "Your ma will pick you up on Sunday from Nana and Granddads but I might see if I can pop round to see you before you go to sleep" I said to her as I watched the three of them trot out of the apartment.
20 minutes later Arizona arrived. She didn't knock. We were past that now. "Callie" she called through the house as she closed the door behind her. "You ready to go?" she asked.
"Coming" I called as I grabbed my hang bag from my bed and headed out into the lounge. "I'm ready" I said as I gave her a peck on the lips as if we had done it every day for the past 60 years.
"I'll take your bag" Arizona said as she ushered us out of the house.

Our flight was relatively short. Arizona slept most of the way because of the double shift she ended up doing. We arrived in Colorado just before 8pm, hired a car and headed the extra 2 hours out to the cabin. Yet again Arizona slept. When we arrived I switched off the car and I shook her leg lightly. "Arizona" I said quietly over and over again as I watched her slowly come to life. It took her a while to realise we had arrived. The poor girl looked absolutely exhausted.
"Maybe we could just take a spa and head to bed for tonight" I suggested. Arizona shook her head aimlessly but I assumed she would change her mind.
We settled into the cabin relatively quickly. I lit the fire as Arizona took our bags in. I had grabbed a few essentials on the way that would last us throughout the weekend. Most of the shopping seemed to be wine which made me wonder what on earth we would eat the rest of the trip. I walked out onto the deck and got a gust of fresh air. I stared at the stars aimlessly before I felt Arizona's arms slip around my waist. "I'm glad you came with me" she mumbled as she kissed my back. "Do you want me to turn on the spa pool?" she added. "I'll get the wine" I responded in a playful tone.
I walked outside onto the deck 20 minutes later. The spa seemed to already be hot because Arizona had already made herself at home. And if I was correct I had a strong feeling the blonde was wearing a bathing suit. I carried a bottle of wine in one hand and two wine glasses in the other. Wine in the spa under the stars. What could be more perfect?
"Goody. Wine" Arizona chirped as she swum to the closer side of the spa.
I placed the wine on the small table around the back of the spa and I slipped off my robe to reveal my bikini.
"Come here" Arizona groaned as I got into the spa.
"What?" I slipped into the hot water as the water slowly rose to my neck. It was perfect. The stars were out, the birds were chirping and I was alone with my girl.
"Take that off." Arizona swum the short distance to me and sat herself on my lap. The water made her incredibly light but I reactively held her anyway.
"I don't think you'll be able to resist me if I do that" I teased.
Arizona slung her arms around my neck and kissed my neck. "Is that a bad thing?" she asked as she continued to place soft kisses up and down my neck. I tilted my neck up to allow her full access only to realise what she was doing. "Arizona" I whispered in attempt to get her to stop but I knew she wasn't going to and part of me was glad she wasn't. I could feel my bikini strap slowly loosen at the hands of Arizona and before I knew it, it was lying on the deck. Arizona moved her legs either side of my torso her arms still slung securely around her neck and mine on her waist as we kissed passionately. It was like high school all over again accept I wasn't scared to kiss her, in fact all I wanted to do was to make love to her.
