Xros Heart In Magic Land

The various guest characters appearing in every arc are owned by their respective owners.

Last chapter showed you how Xros Heart is dealing with the situation, and so far they managed to hold their ground and are planning on how to defeat the enemy to lessen the casualties, and so far things went on a standstill.

This chapter will pick things up where it left off, and lastly, Takuya Kanbara will also share the lead role, along with Izumi Orimoto. That's right, this fic will also be linked with my other Digimon fic, "Digital Wizard", meaning that magic will play a role in this story.

Well, that's the summary I can tell you right now, but you'll soon see where this would lead to, so here is the second chapter, so read and enjoy!

Ch. 7 - Yubiwa no Mahotsukai no Kōgeki

As the ""armored mages" went on with their attack using their magic rings, and the city became a bloodied mess due to the rampaging, possessed users, and Taiki managed to hid himself but is pained to see the sight before him and is torn on what to do, as he knew that the people using the magic belt and rings are only being controlled, yet they are oblivious to their actions, and there Shoutmon spoke to his partner via the X-Loader and encouraged him to do the right thing and follow what he thinks is the best for everyone's safeties.

"Blast!"

"Taiki!"

"Shoutmon!"

"Don't blame yourself!"

"But..."

"Do what you think is right...and I'm sure you can find a way to stop them..."

"Shoutmon..."

"I believe in you..."

After that, Taiki took a deep breath and emerged from his hiding place, ready to release Shoutmon and the Starmons, but then several SWAT vans arrived and out emerged several SWAT members and aimed their weapons at the flying "armored mages", and after seeing what they did, the SWAt leader ordered his men to open fire, and they fired powerful weapons such as high-powered guns and machine guns, but to their surprises, the "armored mages" weren't scathed, due to their armor, and then the mages placed their right hand in front of their belt and the spell is activated.

Wizardriver: "EXPLOSION...NOW!"

The SWAT members, along with their vehicles, exploded and were reduced to a bloodied "patties", and Taiki realized that he has no choice but to fight back even though he knows that hurting the innocent victims being possessed by the magic items can't be avoided, and there he brought out all of his available Digimons, and Shoutmon evolved immediately to Omega-Shoutmon to take on the "armored mages" who are now facing the Digimon.

"Taiki...we'll handle them for now!"

"You should get going!"

"Find the source of this problem!"

"We'll do it!"

"Guys...be careful...!"

"Destroy the Xros Hearts..."

Taiki nodded as he reluctantly leaves the scene as Omega-Shoutmon and the Starmons began to take on the possessed attackers, and thanks to their actions, the "armored mages" became preoccupied to notice Taiki sneaking out of the way as he intends to find the Clock Shop Owner to see if he can help in dealing with the emergency and ask if a Digimon is involved in this very bloodied chaos, in which he hoped that he could find him on time, provided that he won't get caught.

At the other parts of Kyoto, Tagiru is facing a similar problem as he is being chased by the "armored mages" and is also contemplating on fighting back "unrestrained" seeing that they are willing to kill innocent people just to get at him, and seeing that the Wizardiver belts that they are wearing are the key to this, he decided to try risk using "rough methods" in order to disarm and stop their "forced rampage" within the city and glanced at his X-Loader, asking his Digimons if they are willing to "rough up" the attackers in order to stop and save them.

"Tagiru..."

"Gumdramon...Metal-Tyranomon...Sagomon...Harpymon...are you guys willing to hurt them a little just to disarm them?"

"Yes..."

"If needed...we will..."

"We'll do if necessary...if you permit us to do so..."

"I know its harsh...but there's nothing we can do but use that method you suggest..."

"You're life is at stake..and so are the other innocent lives..."

"Okay...I'll summon you and trust your judgements...do what you think is necessary!"

"Okay!"

After that, Tagiru took a deep breath and emerged from his hiding place, ready to release Gumdramon,MetalTyrannomon, Sagomon, Harpymon, Jokermon and Fla-Wizarmon, but then several SWAT vans arrived and out emerged several SWAT members and aimed their weapons at the flying "armored mages", and after seeing what they did, the SWAT leader ordered his men to open fire, and they fired powerful weapons such as high-powered guns and machine guns, but to their surprises, the "armored mages" weren't scathed, due to their armor, and then the mages placed their right hand in front of their belt and the spell is activated.

Wizardriver: "EXPLOSION...NOW!"

The SWAT members, along with their vehicles, exploded and were reduced to a bloodied "patties", and Tagiru winced at the sight before him, and realized that he has no choice but to fight back even though he knows that he may have to go all out should the situation calls for it seeing that disarming them won't be as easy as he thought, but nevertheless he brought out all of his available Digimons, and Gumdramon went in to action as he evolved immediately to Arresterdramon and leads his team to take on the "armored mages" who are now facing the Digimons.

"Guys...follow me!"

Looking around, he saw Zenjirou summoning Ballistamon and Deputymon and had them protect Akari because her Digimon, Cutemon, is not suited for fighting, so Tagiru decided to join them in order to protect his friends, seeing that the two are "undermanned" at the moment, and summoned Pagumon, and there the Digimon created "copies" of himself and kept the "armored mages" busy and this allows Tagiru, Akari and Zenjirou to ran off and find a place to hide while they see if their Digimons can disarm the mages and free them from their control.

"Zenjirou...Akari!"

"Tagiru!"

"Thanks, Tagiru!"

"Follow me!"

"Where are we going?"

"Yeah...where to?"

"We hide for now...and come up with a plan to disarm them..."

"I see..."

"I hope we can work out a plan..."

As the chaotic situation is ongoing within Kyoto, the scene shifts to Shibuya where another teen is about to be targeted as he is seen standing in front of a food truck, where it was selling doughnuts, and the teen in question is none other than Takuya Kanbara, who is ordering his usual order, much to the dimay of the food truck manager, the "effeminate gay manager" of the Doughnut Hungry Shop, who tries to persuade Takuya to try other variety of flavors, but Takuya always prefer plain sugar doughnut.

"Ahh...Takuya-kun! Good timing I have a new batch of doughnuts here..."

"Really..?"

"Yes..."

"Okay then...plain sugar..."

"Eh?"

"Three plain sugar please..."

"..."

"Did you hear me...?"

"WWWWAAAAHH!"

As the gay manager "cries in anguish", Takuya took his leave while eating his doughnut, and while walking by a busy street, he gets a call on his cellphone, and it was Izumi, and there he is taken aback at what he was told, as he never expected to hear this after getting the details from her and Junpei, in which the two, who are stationed at the Omokagedo Antique Shop, happened to watch the live TV news of the incident at Kyoto.

"Takuya!"

"Izumi? What's wrong?"

"Go to the nearest shop...there is a live TV news! Citizens appeared to possess the same magic items you got...and they're transformed into armored wizards like yourself!"

"What? Are you kidding?"

"You'll just have to see for yourself!"

"Alright...I'll see what I can do..."

"Please be careful!"

"I will!"

Seeing that he is in front of a convenience store, Takuya looked at the TV being displayed, and there he saw the "armored mages" attacking the combined forces of the SWAT team and the army, and there he saw the mages sporting BOTH the Wizardriver and the magic rings, and Takuya is baffled as to how this happened, since there hasn't been any reported cases of Digimon attacks, and that the White Wizard has not told him about "other wizards".

"Izumi wasn't kidding...how can this be happening? Is the White Wizard involved in this...?"

By then, his attention was shifted as he saw several people passing by, and to his utter shock, several of the passerby, mostly fashionistas, are sporting BOTH the Wizardriver and magic rings, and Takuya braced himself as he wondered if this is a trick or not, knowing that the White Wizard wouldn't just hand out those magic items to anyone who didn't survive the despair incidents, and then suspected that the Digimons might be behind this.

"Something is not right here..."

By then, seeing that he has found his other target, which is Takuya, Auma used his magic to create a visual image of the Japanese Prince, while at the same time, chanted a spell which causes the Wizardriver Belts to glow, placing the wearers under their thralls, and there the Japanese Prince began to make an announcement which made the possessed citizens wearing the Wizardriver to become submissive to the prince.

"People of Japan...that young man in front of you...he is a traitor...kill him and you will be rewarded...all for the glory of Japan!"

Takuya stared wide-eyed at seeing and hearing this as the most of the public, who are wearing the Wizardriver belts, appeared to be in a trance and nodded, as they placed their left hand, where the DRIVER Ring are affixed on their middle finger, in front of the Wizardriver, and the "hand symbol" in front of the belt glowed, and something happened to the people who are wearing them.

Wizardriver: "CHANGE...NOW."

A magic circle appeared as the possessed people stood with their hands on their sides, and the circle enveloped its wearer from the left side, where they are now garbed in brown armor with "skirts", their left forearm attached with a black gauntlet with claws and their helmets resembled that of a jewel, and the possessed prince dubbed them as the "Digi-Mages" and ordered them to slay the target he is pointing at, and Takuya went on a defensive stance as the "armored mages" began to head towards their prey.

"Oh boy..."

At the Omokagedo Antique Shop, Junpei and Izumi are glancing on the crystal ball, and are equally shocked at what they just saw, and realized that Takuya is in a heap of trouble, and on top of that, he is facing an army of possessed "armored wizards" in which Izumi wondered if the White Wizard is involved in this since they know that he only chose Takuya to bear the Wizardriver and magic rings to become Wizard and use the magic to fight Digimons.

"No way..."

"This is...impossible...the White Wizard...he possibly can't..."

"The guy who appeared in the sky...the missing prince...he commanded them to attack Takuya..."

"Yes...I saw it..."

"Suppose he's the one who..."

"But...only the White Wizard can give out the magic items to those he chosen as worthy..."

"Right now all we can hope is that Takuya survives this and finds out who is responsible..."

"Yes, you're right..."

Nevertheless the two opted to watch the events in front of the crystal ball and see how things would turn out to be, hoping that Takuya would endure and overcome the problem that he is facing right now.

Back at the city proper of Shibuya, curious onlookers stopped by after seeing the possessed fashionistas turning into "armored mages" and there one of the mages placed his right hand in front of the Wizardriver to commence the spell he summoned.

Wizardriver: "EXPLOSION...NOW!"

Takuya instinctively dodged the attack upon seeing a magic circle in front of him, but as he did so, the magic circle exploded and it struck a person behind him, in which he took the blast meant for Takuya, and there the onlookers began to back away before screaming, causing a stampede to erupt, and Takuya realizes the magnitude of the situation in hand, and is forced to take evasive action as he placed his right hand, where the DRIVER Ring is placed on his right middle finger, in front of the Wizardriver belt, revealing its true form.

Wizardriver: "DRIVER ON...PLEASE..."

Soon the Wizardriver appeared as a magical, metallic belt and Takuya puts on a magic ring on his left middle finger, which is the FLAME Ring, and then places it in front of the Wizardriver to begin his transformation.

"Henshin!"

Wizardriver: "FLAME…PLEASE…HII-HII…HII-HII-HII…"

A magical circle appeared on the left side of Takuya and slowly went towards the right, enveloping the teen and now he is encased in black armor with red ruby-like ornament-like armor, which included his helmet, along and with a black robe, and there he is now in his Digimon-armored form known simply as the "Wizard", and the "Digi-Mages" can sense the power emanating from both Takuya's magical abilities and the inner Digimon coming from deep within the teen's body.

At Magic Land, Auma is watching the scene via the couldron and finally gets to see Takuya up close and saw his transformation into Wizard, and now this is where he feels that the action would become BOTH interesting and entertaining, as he would see how Takuya would fare himself against an army of "armored mages", as well as to see if the mages are enough to take him down before Auma decides to personally deal with him, and wished that Wiseman is watching this so that he would be pleased with how the threat can be eliminated.

"Now then...let's see if you really are worthy to face me...even though you're a potential threat to my plans..."

The scene shifts back to Shibuya as Wizard engages in a battle with one of the "armored mages" in hand to hand combat, and because of the spell controlling the victims, they act and move against their will and they uncharacteristically fought like an expert in karate, and because the mages are armed with a black claw-like gauntlet affixed on their left hand, it acted as a weapon and uses this to send the Wizard staggering back. The rest of the possessed "mages" followed suit, using their armored left-handed gauntlet to rake and strike down the Wizard, and there he decided to lure the attackers away in order to avoid more casualties.

"Got to take this fight some place else...or more innocent people will get caught...!"

Wizard then removed the DRIVER Ring from his right middle finger and replaces it with another magic ring before placing it in front of his Wizardriver Belt where a spell is casted.

Wizardriver: "CONNECT...PLEASE..."

A portal appeared and there he took something out, which turns out to be the Wizard-Winger, his preferred Honda motorcycle and he boarded it to try and lure the mages away from the streets and they followed, which resulted in a high-speed chase, and because he is transversing the busy streets, where a lot of pedestrians and motorists are there, Wizard realizes that he couldn't do anything but to outrun his pursuers, as they placed their right hand in front of their Wizardriver and their magic ring glowed, which singals the activation of their summoned spells.

Wizardriver: "EXPLOSION...NOW!"

Wizard can only evade the blasts yet the magical attacks ended up hitting the cars that resulted in a chain of explosions, and resulted in the immediate deaths of the motorists and passengers, but the shrapnel of the exploding cars also struck nearby passengers and this also resulted in mass deaths and injuries, and Wizard decided to take a different route and head to any place with no people in sight.

"Hope there are no pedestrians or motorists on this route..."

Taking a route via a vacant street, Wizard now heads for an area where it is known for a trading such as junk shops and warehouses, and this is where he decided to try and outsmart his attackers and take them down in order to disarm them with a little bit of force seeing that someone is controlling them. He couldn't afford to let his guard down as the lives of the citizens rest in his hands, and he hoped that there would be no more of them apart from the ones who are chasing him.

At the Omokagedo Antique Shop, Shibuya Police Detective Yoshino Fujieda rushed inside after seeing the news about the mages in both Kyoto and in Shibuya and asked them if they know something about the "other wizards", in which Izumi denied, and Tomoki is wondering how this happened since they knew that the "Digi-Gates" that they rescued have their "inner Digimons" eradicated, which means that they no longer have magic potentials, and there Izumi wondered if someone else is supplying them magic, or if someone has made them went into despair and survive.

"...are you sure that you have no idea who is responsible for the chaos right now at Shibuya and Kyoto?"

"Yes."

"But Yoshino, Izumi...who would do something like this? I mean...the only one who can give those people the items is the one who trained Takuya...so don't you two think that..."

"No...the White Wizard would never do that..."

"Really...?"

"How so?"

"Remember...for someone to possess those items...one must fall in to despair...and if he/she survives and hold back their inner-Digimon...that someone can possess the power...and so far we managed to save the Digi-Gates, some who didn't fall in to despair...others had their inner-Digimons eradicated...so that means that the White Wizard is not involved..."

"Then all we can do now is for the army to deal with them...even though it's a hopeless cause...and for Takuya to find out who is responsible for this..."

"Me too..."

Their discussion was interrupted as the crystal ball glowed and everyone gathered as they watch the next scene to unfold. There they saw what is about to transpire while Junpei is glued to the TV, seeing the live footage of the SWAT team and the police fighting off other "armored mages" who are terrorizing the city.

At an unspecified area within Kyoto, the scene shows that Wizard is still riding the Wizard-Winger motorcycle and is passing through a huge warehouse in hopes of outmaneuvering his pursuers, who are riding on "flying brooms", using the EXPLOSION Ring to attack him, but and there Wizard took advantage of the warehouse's "restrictive ambiance" as the mages maneuvered to avoid the ceiling's obstacles, and as the mages gathered in one spot, Wizard puts on the GRAVITY Ring and placed his right hand in front of the Wizardriver to activate the spell.

Wizardriver: "GRAVITY...PLEASE..."

The mages felt the spell and struggles to fight against the force that is pulling them down to the ground, and there he replaces the GRAVITY Ring with another ring before placing his right hand in front of the Wizardriver to activate another spell in order to take them down without killing them while they are vulnerable to a certain degree.

Wizardriver: "BIG...PLEASE..."

A magic circle appeared and Wizard inserted his right hand in there and then his hand "enlarges" and uses it to swat the mages aside, sending them crashing down, and while they are still under the effects of the GRAVITY Ring's power, he removes the BIG Ring and replaces it with the COPY Ring and placed his hand in front of the Wizardriver, and repeated the process a few times as he created at least 10 copies of himself.

Wizardriver: "COPY...PLEASE..."

There the "10 Wizards" removed the COPY Rings and replaced them with the KICK STRIKE Rings, placed their hand in front of the Wizardriver and activated their spells.

Wizardriver: "CHOINE...KICK STRIKE...SAIKO!"

The "10 Wizards" then performed a flying kick with their right foot set ablaze and struck the still-immobilized mages, and an explosion occurred as the impact sent the 10 mages thrown out of the warehouse and are knocked out, and their magic were cancelled out and reverted back to normal, and as Wizard is about to go and destroy their Wizardrivers, another set of "armored mages" arrived, and he whined at the scene as he barely get to take a breather and is worried that his mana would get depleted if he fights another round non-stop, and if the first batch of mages woke up and transform, he would be in serious trouble.

"Great...guess it can't be helped...I may have to get rougher with them if I am to survive this chaos..."

As the next batch of "armored mages" are circling him, Wizard braces himself for another fight when an unexpected entrant appeared out of nowhere, much to Wizard's surprise, and to that of the ones inside the antique shop.

Wizardriver: "TELEPORT...NOW!"

The entrant who appeared is none other than the White Wizard, and the first thing he did was placing his right hand in front of his Wizardriver, and a spell is casted.

Wizardriver: "DUPE...NOW!"

A "copy" of the White Wizard appeared after a magic circle did, and unlike the "copies" that Wizard made when using the COPY Ring, the "copy" of the White Wizard is different, as he appeared to act independently, and repeated the process of summoning a spell.

Wizardriver: "DUPE...NOW!"

The "eight White Wizards" then fought off the "10 mages" and the fight went to a stand still before they placed their hand in front of their Wizardriver to summon another spell that would soon lead to the opponents' defeat.

Wizardriver: "EXPLOSION...NOW!"

The "armored mages" were struck by explosion and the impact sent them throwing back and hit the floor, rendered unconscious and reverted back to normal. The "copied versions" of the White Wizard disarmed the unconscious victims before disappearing, and there the original one approached Takuya, which the teen reverted back to normal, and went straight to the point and asked him if he knows anything of what is going on.

"It's been a while, Takuya Kanbara..."

"Yeah..."

"You seemed to be doing fine..."

"So far...guess I'm going to say thank you for helping me...but...pardon my being blunt but..."

"I know what you're thinking..."

"Eh?"

"I am not responsible...but I can provide you a lead on who is responsible..."

"Eh?"

"Now listen up..."

After explaining to Takuya what really happened, the White Wizard told the teen of a way to confront the mastermind, and after much discussion, Takuya boarded his motorcycle and leaves the scene to head back to for the antique shop, while the White Wizard teleports away to parts unknown, perhaps to plan ahead in preparing to aid Takuya in confronting Auma at Magic Land, confident that the teen would eventually defeat this threat to the human world.

Back at Kyoto, Yuu is having trouble of his own as he is trying to find a place to safely battle the mages without getting innocent people killed, and right now he is using himself as a bait to entice the mages to follow him so that he can keep them from harming other people, seeing that the streets is littered with severed corpses, and before he gets the chance to use his X-Loader, one of the mages placed his hand in front of the Wizardriver and summoned a spell.

Wizardriver: "GIANT...NOW!"

The mage's left-handed, clawed gauntlet "enlarges" and struck Yuu down, grazing his left temple, while another mage came and summoned a spell doing the same tactic the other mage did.

Wizardriver: "VOLCANO...NOW!"

An enhanced heat blast nearly struck Yuu, but the impact was great that debris struck the blond-haired teen and he was badly wounded, and now he is under the two mages' mercy.

Hope you like this chapter as it was chaotic in many ways given how the characters displayed their prowess. Though Takuya Kanbara was doing most of the actions, the Xros Heart members have their share of exposure, but Yuu is now in danger of being eliminated, unless Taiki and the rest managed to get there in time.
