"He appears that he wishes to stay where he is with his two lovers.", Heimdall explained. "They honestly have been keeping him... much more tethered than he was before.".
King Odin gave a small sigh of relief before speaking, "Perhaps it's best that he stays there...Honestly, if he had grabbed Thor's hand, I would have exiled him to the world of zombies for the crimes he had done...I blame myself for not telling him sooner...Frigga was right...I do not know what has changed when he was younger, but he used to be so vibrant in life, playing jokes on Thor...Yet he remains a prince in title, even if he won't be in the role anymore...Has he told everything to his lovers?".
Heimdall replied, "Yes and no. He has told them of his heritage, his...grievances about you, Your Majesty, and how he came to be there, but not his crimes...I believe he's waiting for the right time after their children is born...I can hear the small heartbeat in Loki as well.".
"I see...", Odin rubbed his chin. "Well, for now, I think things should stay the same as they are now. Leave him with those that he has embraced.".
Heimdall nodded, "Yes, Your Majesty. Do you wish of me to check on him occasionally?", and Odin groomed his beard thoughtfully, "I know you, Heimdall. Do not be alarmed if Frigga or Thor wants to know the news as well. It's time for me to tell them of Loki's survival...Inform me when the children are born...Loki may have denied his title, but his children will be royal in a way as they are my grandchildren.".
"As you wish, Your Majesty.", Heimdall said as Odin left once more, leaving him alone to continue watching out for Loki, pleased that things at least for now would stay calm and that Loki had basically now somehow found a place to stay out of trouble.
And so, Loki was much happier ever since he confessed about most of his memories to Tony and Reva and enjoyed watching Reva grow into an expecting mother over the next few months, discovering that their child is a girl, and he soon was surprised and confused when he felt the first kicks inside himself, unknowing that it's from his second child, during one of their Saturday outings.
Loki still had no idea how he was going to break that news to Tony and Reva. He knew he would have to eventually, but he really just didn't know what to say; especially with how he felt such on still thin ice with them regarding his past. He knew what they had said about it, but he still felt so guilty just being around them and how they didn't change when they learned about his past, even partially.
"A penny for your thoughts, Loki?", Tony asked as he sat next to him on the car-bed, looking up at the stars, as Reva has been thoroughly exhausted after one intense love-making session, and now is sleeping deeply.
Loki sighed heavily, and gave him a small smile, "It's strange that the stars look so small right now, yet they were so different when I fell down from the Bifrost...".
"They are much brighter and closer before?", Tony said. "Yeah, in a way, yeah, of course, light pollution from the city, not far away from it where you could see more stars...", Loki mused thoughtfully.
Tony asked curiously, "What was your best memory of Asgard?", and Loki looked a bit surprised at him before smiling softly, "The gardens near the palace...It was the only place I would feel peaceful and calm without getting suffocated by expectations from the entire palace and city...I used to walk with Mother...Frigga, and she would teach me a few things about magic when she returned from attending court.".
"Ah, so you were kind of an introvert.", Tony remarks, and Loki nods, "Somewhat, yes...But now, I feel like I'm able to be with other people because of you two. You never push me to socialize like Odin and Thor mostly, because you know how to give me time to get used to socializing...That was something I've never had before...".
Tony smiles warmly, "Well, I am glad I and Reva changed that only because you wanted to, not by force...After all, we love you, Loki.", kissing his cheek, and Loki smiles happily, "I love you two as well.", taking Tony's chin as he leaned in to kiss him on the lips, and in the middle of the kiss, Loki shouts in pain and surprise from something in his belly.
"Loki?", Tony went breathless for a moment as Loki took a deep breath. "Sorry, sorry, real bad stomach cramp, I need to use the bathroom...", he said.
Tony asked in concern, "You sure?", and Loki nods, "Yeah, yeah, pretty sure. Probably too much in the bladder.", giving him a smile, and got off the car-bed a tad too quickly, and after a step, Loki got dizzy and fell back, fainting, barely hearing Tony's panicked scream.
A little bit later, Loki started to wake up, hearing Reva and Tony's voices near them as they were talking with each other, and obviously he could tell that it was Beast who was chatting with them as well.
Reva was fretting anxiously, rubbing her baby bump which is kicking right now as the baby is feeling Reva's emotions at the moment, "Is he going to be okay?".
"He is bound to wake up sooner or later since I got him to drink some water unconsciously...I'd have to wait to ask his permission to withdraw his blood so I can run it through the machine. After all, he controls his skin to be normal or impregnatable.", Beast replied.
Tony frowned, "Could you run an x-ray or whatever as well? I barely caught him before he could've hit his head.", and Beast was about to reply when Reva sobbed in relief, having glanced to check on Loki, "Loki, you're awake! Are you okay? Is anything hurt?".
"No, not really...", Loki groaned. "What happened?", he asked. "You had some bad stomach pain and then collapsed.", Tony explained. "For a minute there, I was thinking maybe your appendix burst or something of that nature but then I remembered you might not have one so it might have been something else.".
Loki frowned lightly, "Like what?", and Beast suggested, "It's possible that you might have some kidney stones or something similar...May I withdraw some of your blood to run it through? And as a back-up, if you still really need to use the bathroom, pee in one of the beakers.".
"Yeah... sure...", Loki nodded as he took a deep breath. They were bound to find out now after this so at least this situation would work better without having to say anything.
Loki willed his skin to be normal, allowing Beast to take some blood, and afterwards, with a bit of worry, Tony helped Loki to the bathroom. He knew that he is fine, but he obliged to let Tony and Reva fret over him, well, for the time being...
He's terrified of their reactions...After all, a man isn't made to give birth, especially when he's a Frost Giant freak. He was never told that Chris and Marco's children was actually biologically theirs.
Loki eventually came back and gave Beast his sample as he laid back down, "We'll hopefully find out what's wrong soon, just hold tight.", Beast said. "Yeah, not going anywhere...", Loki sighed as he looked over to Tony and Reva. "I know those looks...".
"We're just concerned about your health, that's all.", Reva assured him. "Not every day you fall over and pass out." Loki smiled softly, appreciatively glad of his lovers, but still terrified on the inside.
"Well, at least you seem much more normal now, so whatever the issue was may have passed.", Tony said. "Still obviously can't simply dismiss what happened if it turns out it's something much more serious.".
"Right.", Loki nodded as he looked back up at the ceiling while laying down. "You two will stay with me, right? Even while we're waiting. Even if it might take long for Beast to get results?".
Tony looked at him seriously, "How many times do I have to say it? We ain't going anywhere, we're not leaving ya. We love you so much, Loki.". Reva nodded firmly, "That's right. We belong with you and you belong with us.".
"Thank you... both of you.", Loki smiled as he continued to dread what was certainly to come... if Beast would be able to pick up on that. After about a few hours, Beast eventually came back in.
"Well, I think we've discovered the reason... congratulations, Loki, you're going to be a father to another child.", Beast smiled happily with a warm nod.
Loki saw shock on his lovers' faces and turned around with tears and sobs of bitterness and such, hearing Reva's voice, "Loki, this is incredible! Loki, what's wrong?".
Loki shakily spoke, "You should hate me...I'm a freak...a man isn't made for carrying a child...". Tony, Reva and Beast looked at each other for a moment before it clicked for Beast, "Wait, you didn't tell him?".
"Tell me what?", Loki sat up, the look on his face was demanding answers in the next two seconds.
Tony sighed, rubbing the back of his neck, "You know what Chris and Marco decreed, Beast. That their kids are imposed to be adopted to the outside world...Loki was technically a stranger, and I guess we simply forgot when we became lovers because, come on, we were more focused on being there for Loki, and then Reva got pregnant, Loki got his memories back, and he never asked. Loki, listen, the kids with Chris and Marco, they're not adopted, they're actually biological, and Chris and Marco gave birth to them, literally carrying them for six months, thanks to the Quantonium flowers and such.".
Loki looked at them funny for a moment before he took a huge breath and started to chuckle, "Geez, now you tell me all that, I was so worried for a while about this..."
Reva blinked in bewilderment, "Wait, you knew you were pregnant all this time?", and Loki shook his head, "I had a tinkling idea of it, but I didn't know, no, and even when the feeling got stronger, I...I denied it because I didn't want to be a freak...I love the kid...don't get me wrong...it was the fear of you two leaving me for this...".
Tony rolled his eyes as he chuckled. "Well then, how about we just chalk all this up to a breakdown in communicating with each other and move on from it?... Enjoy the news that you're both carrying now.", with a delighted smile.
Reva moved to sit beside Loki, "Tony's right...You're a father once again...with Tony as the daddy and I as the mommy.", smiling as she reached out to touch Loki's barely emerging baby bump as she kissed Loki on the lips, and Tony quickly did the same, and after kissing Loki's lips, Tony smiled, "Now we got two babies. I wanna see the gender, hmm?".
"Now you tell me...", Beast chuckled. "Well, if you all don't mind waiting again while I get that all set up.", with a knowing smile.
"We can wait for as long as it takes, Beast.", Reva smiled. Beast nodded and went to set up the sonogram stuff ready for Loki.
Loki whispered, "What if the child is like me?", and Tony firmly spoke, "We will love him or her with all our hearts, Loki. Half Frost Giant, Asgardian, human, I and Reva will be there no matter what. With proper care and more, this child will be absolutely healthy just like its sibling.".
Loki gave a small nod, "You'll promise to tell them the truth sooner?", licking his lips nervously. "We'll do it like Carl and Wendy did with Susan.", Reva chuckled. "Worked out well for her, certainly.".
Loki smiled, genuinely happy since in a while, and kissed Reva and Tony passionately, needing a bit of excitement for a moment.
After a few minutes, Beast announced that the sonogram machine is ready and running, and the triad went to the recliner-bed, with Reva and Tony working together to push Loki's shirt and rub the gel over the baby bump before standing on either side of Loki, waiting and watching as Beast then took the probe scanner to Loki's skin as he willed it to be normal.
"Alright, let's see if everything's okay.", Beast said. "Hopefully that pain wasn't...", Reva bit her tongue, metaphorically speaking, not wanting to say anything terrible... if there was tragic news, wait to be discovered firsthand rather than saying anything before. She was hoping the baby was alright.
Beast scanned slowly for the picture to come in clearly, "Good, good, almost clear, ah, here we are.", before blinking in surprise, "Oh...How would you think when you, ah, did the act for the first time?".
Tony replied, "It happened on my birthday. Why?", starting to be concerned. Beast replied, "He's definitely 6 months developed, but he's smaller than he should be...He got a strong heartbeat...".
Loki gave a curious look. "Is he... does he look normal... human?", he asked as Reva held his hand. "Listen, Beast... if there's anything different, we... we do know some things now...", she said.
Beast inquired, "Oh, how so?", and Loki exhaled deeply, "I am a Frost Giant...my magic hides it like a glamour...I am a runt...but the normal size of the Frost Giants is usually 20-30 ft... I have glacier blue skin and amber gold eyes...and I think the timing of pregnancy is close to 8 months, not quite 9 months.".
Beast widened his eyes, "Truly? Wow, I am glad I am not alone in having blue fur/skin color.", with a smile. Loki blinks, not even realizing that fact before smiling a little in amusement.
Beast soon frowned, "We must help this child to proper weight and size...Reva, would you like to try to give some of your Quantonium through Loki to the child? I think the reason why he's smaller than he should is that he sensed Loki's fear.".
"Hey, if I can do anything to help... it's my baby too.", Reva reminded. "Er... I think.", with a shrug. "Probably more of mine.", Tony said. "But knowing this whole family in this place, I wouldn't be surprised if this child has some of Reva's traits."
Loki smiled gratefully, looking to Reva, "I want this child to be strong, not a runt...Are you sure you want to do this? I mean, I don't want to hurt our first baby.", looking at her baby bump.
Reva reassures him, "Beast is right here to help us. With an IV water bag, a blood transfusion, and some snacks to nibble on, I can do it, and I want to, Loki. I already love our son. I mean, look at him, he's so precious and innocent. He needs our help.".
Loki nodded as he looked back over to Beast, "Guess you've got your answer.". He chuckled, "Do what you need to do for us...".
Beast nodded, "Aye. Can't deny a wish like that.", with a smile, and gave the probe scanner to Tony, "Here. See if you could possibly persuade the little tyke to kick again. I think the bad stomach pain earlier was his first kick... I think he didn't realize his strength...I mean, if Frost Giants are usually 20 to 30 ft tall, they must be very strong, and this little tyke is half Frost Giant.", with a shrug before going to set the required stuff up for Reva and Loki's blood transfusion.
"At least he'll fit in size wise with others around here if he does get to a large height.", Tony chuckled, thinking of it. "That's one thing I'll be grateful for if it does indeed go that way.", Loki smiled.
Reva giggled warmly before realizing something else, "Our daughter has some Frost Giant in her as well, next to Quantonium and humanity. They're more siblings than ever.", with an amazed smile as she rubbed her belly, feeling a few happy kicks, and Loki suddenly gasped as he felt a familiar kick against his skin, but gentler as he whipped his head over to watch the screen. Yep, his son is wiggling around, trying to kick despite his current size.
"At least he's moving...", Loki sighed. "Don't worry, you'll be alright.", he assured the unborn child, in the hopes that it would work before anything else would happen with the IVs and such.
Tony rubbed Loki on the shoulder, "Don't worry, Loki, if he's anything like us men, he'll be just fine. After all, he's stubborn and strong in the heart. That's not a runt, he's a survivor.", with a proud grin.
"I hope you're right, Tony.", Loki sighed as Beast finally got things set up. All that remained was the arms of the two willing patients.
"You sure this will work, Beast?", Reva asked. "Should be, after all, we've tried stuff similar like this in the past.", Beast nodded firmly.
Reva nodded, "Right, I remember.", with a sigh. The story of Lacey nearly losing her life was a bit terrifying in its own right.
Reva and Loki, with help from Tony, sat down in comfortable chairs, and got injected with the needles/cords of the water IV bags, the blood transfusion machine, and some other machines including their blood pressure and such.
