Finally gonna update again!

Yellow-orange eyes squinted open suddenly, slowly adjusting to the quickly-appearing light above. They began blinking quickly and an arm was lifted to block it from blinding the owner. With a groan, Sol's arms bent behind her and pushed herself up into a sitting position. She wiped both of her eyes and looked around her with slightly blurry eyes. Wait, this isn't my apartm-...oh...I forgot, she thought as memories of Saturday, yesterday night, returned to her, as well as the aches in her back, arms, and sides, both from yesterday's events and sleeping on a hard-wood floor.

It had been a very eventful day, much more active and emotionally draining than most other days. Learning that Haruhi was a girl, her own gender identity being discovered, the big fight with Gin, being welcomed to stay in Haruhi's house. It was much more activity than Sol was used to, causing her to pass out once everything had played out.

A voice then sounded in her right ear, causing her to turn her attention over to the entrance to the small living room where Haruhi stood. "Sorry, did I wake you?" The brown-eyed brunette asked, peeking around the corner. Sol shook her head, stretching as far as she could before her injuries brought pain. "No...I'm not used to sleeping on the floor like this, so it was a little uncomfortable. I needed to get up anyway. What time is it?"

As Haruhi walked into the room, Sol's question was answered by Haruhi pulling back the curtains, revealing that the sun was only just starting to rise, making the sky multiple shades of yellow and orange fading into dark blue. It was dawn, then. "Want some help getting up?"

Sol looked back over to see Haruhi putting her hands out. Sol reached back out and took her hands, allowing Haruhi to pull her up. She felt her back crack all at once, as well as her wounds pushing together and pulling, possibly irritating them further than they already were. She let out another painful groan, closing her eyes tight. She was still sore all over just from the fighting alone, the wounds just added to it. Haruhi had a look of concern on her face.

As awkward as it was, Haruhi had to ask the question. "I can change your bandages for you and check the scratches. You..uh...your..., " both girls suddenly felt very awkward. Despite the fact that they knew both of them were girls, just a day or two before they saw each other as boys, so this was an unusual thing to do. Sol understood, though, and nodded. Haruhi turned and went to the living room entrance, closing the door. Haruhi turned and Sol had her back to Haruhi, her bandages around her torso and arms showing.

-small time skip-

Once Sol's wounds were treated and changed, the two girls sat at the table in the living room, both with a cup of tea in front of them. "Sorry that you had to sleep on the floor. I could give you my bed, if you want, " Haruhi offered, but Sol shook her head. "No, I don't want to take your bed from you. I can deal with this. It's just..a blanket and maybe a pillow would be nice so that it is more comfortable, " Sol stated, rubbing the back of her head where it had been laying on the floor for most of the night. Haruhi nodded, looking out of the window at the sky, where the sun was now lighting up the city. "If you want, we could go to the store and find you something to sleep on. We might not be able to get an actual bed, but something better than just a blanket. Plus, I highly doubt you want to go back to the other apartment to get your things, so some shopping needs done."

Both girls nodded before standing, finishing their tea and putting the cups in the sink. Haruhi had already allowed Sol to wear one of her old t-shirts and a pair of pants. As much as she hoped it wouldn't be required, Sol also wore a gray hoodie over the shirt, since Gin was still out there. Both girls walked out of the apartment, shut, and locked the door behind them.

They walked down the sidewalk towards the same place that Haruhi had gone shopping the day before. Today was suppose to be some big event at the building, some expo for people to bring all of their merchandise and products to. There was for sure going to be some people that had clothes there.

Once they arrived, there were people beginning to show up. It was still somewhat early and not all of those selling their things were there, but people still entered, wanting to get a head start to see what was good and get first pick. As the two girls entered, there were many vendors who were already set up or in the process of doing so. Most of those selling clothes were still setting up, so the girls chose to find a way to spend their time. Neither had eaten breakfast yet, so they went over to one of the restaurants that resided in the building. They both ordered some version of breakfast before sitting at a table.

"Haruhi, I have a question." Haruhi looked up at Sol, giving a nod for Sol to continue as she began eating. "Am I the only one who knows that you're a girl in the host club?" Haruhi shook her head to the sides. "Are you the only girl?" Haruhi nodded. "Does all of the host club know?" Haruhi nodded. "Did you ever keep it a secret?" Haruhi nodded again. "How?"

Haruhi chuckled as she swallowed a bite of her food. "You said a question." Sol shrugged and looked expectantly at Haruhi. "At first it was pretty easy. My hair was messy, I had glasses, baggy clothes. Even I will admit that I looked like a boy. After the boys gave me my 'host makeover' I still looked like a boy, but not as much. I don't know exactly how everyone found out, but they all knew before long. I still wore boy's clothes though. Girl or not, I was a part of the host club. I needed to keep it a secret."

Sol nodded, taking a bite of her own food. "What about you? You've looked like exactly like a boy since you arrived. If I hadn't seen for myself yesterday I would have never known. Did you hide it from everyone?"

Sol looked up at Haruhi, thinking of how to answer. "I guess. The people in my family, other than my main family, knew that I was a girl, but they knew how my parents were, so they treated me as a boy. I didn't have very many friends when I was little, but the ones I did have didn't know. It didn't help that I was surrounded by boys all my life, so even if my parents didn't force me to be a boy, I most likely would have acted like one anyway. As for Gin, I never told him either. But he also never cared. When we were younger he never asked and even when we moved into the same apartment he never asked or questioned. I never truly hid it on purpose. For a while I truly thought that I was a boy, but learning about the difference between boys and girls in school made me know."

Haruhi nodded. After that, they both stayed somewhat quiet, eating their food in peace. Once they were done, they threw their trash away and scanned the area again. Some time had passed since they arrived, so now there were even more vendors set up along the walls. Their first stop was a vendor who sold basic things like brushes and toothbrushes, things that Sol needed. They walked away with a few small bags before continuing on to where there were many vendors selling clothes. For the most part it was just a bunch of regular clothes: plain shirts with no patterns, shorts with no real color, shoes with no patterns or many colors. Everything was plain and none of them were full outfits, just separate clothes.

As they looked around, they both searched the different racks of clothing, looking for clothes for both of them. They had chosen a few outfits for Sol, but she finally found one in particular that she liked. She grabbed the outfit and as soon as she bought it she went into the bathroom to change immediately. Sol didn't enjoy the thought of wearing Haruhi's clothes for the whole day, not that she didn't like Haruhi's clothes, but this morning she only had two options: wear her bloody clothes from the night before or borrow Haruhi's. Walking around with blood soaked into her clothes wasn't a good idea, especially in public.

As she walked out, Haruhi couldn't help but smile. Sol wore a short-sleeved black shirt with dark gray sleeves, as well as a snow white button-up shirt that had long sleeves and was completely buttoned except for the top two. She had a pair of black pants with four pockets and some gray boots, similar to those that they had to wear at Ouran.

"It looks good on you! That is your favorite outfit, then?" Haruhi asked the question and Sol nodded, adjusting the sleeves so that they were more comfortable on her scratched up arms. "They aren't super fancy and don't have much color or any patterns, but they still match, " Sol stated, looking around them to see where else they needed to go.

After the shopping they had done so far already, there was only one more thing they needed to look for right away. Sol still needed something to sleep on that wasn't just a blanket or the floor. The two girls wandered the expo, looking at other items that interested them along the way and getting drinks to carry with them. They had found a vendor who was selling many kinds of blankets, but there was a box there that neither of them had seen very often. The picture on the box looked like a raft, honestly, but the label said 'air mattress'. Pretty much just a couple layers of plastic and rubber with a hole in one part that could be sealed shut after air was blown into it. Neither of them had ever slept on one, but it looked comfortable. Despite the slightly expensive price, both of them contributed some money into buying it.

They soon left the expo carrying all of their items that they had bought. When they did arrive home, they began setting up a place in the living room for Sol to stay. They had considered setting it up in Haruhi's room, but Sol didn't want to intrude. Plus, the bedrooms were meant for one person, or at least that was how much room there was. There was more space in the living room.

They had blown up the air mattress the way it was told in the directions and got out some blankets and pillows. When they were finished, there was a space in the corner of the room where Sol could sleep and keep her things. They didn't have a small dresser for her to keep her clothes, but she had folded them and set them next to the head portion of the bed. They needed washed anyway.

Once they were all done, both of them sat on the mattress, testing it out. It was actually quite comfortable. Sol seemed pretty fond of it, and Haruhi was glad they had found something for her.

Even though she was still new to the house, Sol started to see how she could get used to it. Haruhi was her friend, as well as a fellow secret girl, so she could help her and walk to school with her. She got her wounds treated and cared for by Haruhi and her father. She even had her own spot that belonged only to her in the living room. It wasn't hard to see that she was already seeing this place as home.

Finally! I would have updated this yesterday, but the doc didn't save after I wrote it, so I had to rewrite it. Anyway, hope you enjoyed!
