It was the moment of truth. Sol stared down at his reflection in the water of the pool, not having touched the water since they arrived not that long ago. Haruhi sat on the edge of the pool, wet from being thrown in by Hikaru, but worried about Sol. Kaoru also watched from in the water, knowing more about the concern Haruhi had than the other hosts.

Sol put his two feet on the first step that led down into the more shallow part of the pool. The water was cold at his feet, going between his toes and sending quick chills up his legs. He took another step down, the water already near his knees. Another step, water coming up to the thigh. This was likely the last step that he had before the water would hit the bandages. As he took another step down, he felt the water start to soak into the bandage, but slowly. He didn't feel the water on the wounds themselves until he took the final step, where the water came up to right below the chest. The water felt nearly freezing against his cuts, despite them being closed at the moment beneath the bandages.

He didn't move another step, looking over at Haruhi and Kaoru, who both had small smiles seeing that the water wasn't bothering him. Sol took a few steps towards the edge of the pool where Haruhi was sitting.

"You doing okay?"

Sol nodded, feeling the water soaking in more until it was completely soaked. It was a somewhat awkward feeling, but he had to deal with it. He then saw Kaoru come over, looking to see a part of the bandage on the top of Sol's arm sticking out of the shirt he was wearing. Kaoru pulled the shirt sleeve down to cover it back up, getting an odd look from Haruhi. He nodded to her and gave her a look, which made her look directly at Sol in questioning.

"I will tell you later..., " Sol said, looking around to see what the rest of the club was doing. Kyoya was wandering around where the small buildings were behind the umbrellas and chairs. Tamaki was currently trying to drown Hikaru, as far as Sol could tell. Honey was clinging to Mori's shoulders as he jumped into the current pool, swimming against it as fast as he could. It was actually somewhat entertaining to swim with other people. Normally Sol swam on his own, purposely avoiding other people since the only places he could swim were in public pools.

As Sol's thoughts continued, he heard footsteps next to them. When he looked up, Kyoya was standing there, not in the water, but next to where the three of them were floating. For a moment, he said nothing, merely looking down at them, specifically at Sol. He then let out a chuckle, which made all three of them question what was going through his head.

"So others are beginning to find out, are they?" Their confusion grew much more at his question. What did he mea-...oh. It hit Sol the moment he began to think about it.

"You knew...you already knew about me, didn't you Kyoya, " Sol said, unsure himself of whether it came out as a question or a statement. Kaoru and Haruhi seemed confused by both Sol and Kyoya, but Kyoya pushed up his glasses and smiled.

"Since the day you entered the school. I keep tabs on all students who make it into Ouran Academy. Even though you did request to be entered as a male student into the system, the records don't lie. They don't lie about names, either..., " Kyoya said, at first merely playing with their heads, but seemed to strike a cord at his last comment. Sol's eyes widened, staring at Kyoya in both shock and fear. He knew...all along he knew...

Before anyone could even react, a mass tackled Haruhi into the water, another following right behind that nearly knocked over Sol and Kaoru. Hikaru had jumped at Haruhi, grabbing her arm and swimming away from her while Tamaki tried going after them. Mori and Honey watched from the side lines, chuckling as Hikaru tried to carry away his damsel in distress who was hunted by the vicious blonde beast. Sol and Kaoru both watched, smiling when they saw Haruhi yell for help. They both just shrugged, not showing any interest in trying to save her from her kidnapping that was much more funny than she thought.

As Kaoru began to swim after them, Sol looked back up at Kyoya, narrowing his eyes, before turning and swimming after Kaoru. He had thoughts racing through his mind, but he tried to push them aside and focus on having fun. That was what this day was suppose to be about.

After around an hour of playing in the pools, swimming against the currents, tackling and kidnapping each other, the sky started to darken, but not because of the time of day. "Everyone, it's time for a break. It is going to begin raining, " Kyoya yelled out, walking over to where the buildings were, one of which was just a small platform and a roof, no walls. Everybody got out of the pools and started walking over to the same area, but Sol didn't continue, taking a seat on one of the chairs that were under an umbrella. The other host members went over to the building to get drinks and food.

Sol sat on the lounging chair, staring out at the pool and the now pouring rain. He finally got a little bit of time to himself, time to think about everything. Haruhi knew that he was a girl. Kaoru knew that he was a girl. Kyoya knew that he was a girl and even knew another secret that no one except Yasutake knew. He didn't know how Kyoya had found out, but he didn't like the fact that someone knew so much about him. How did Kyoya find out? Any of it? Did he have the answer to everything, even life itself, in that stupid black book of his? At first Sol thought that Kyoya was a pretty cool guy, but now that he was showing what he was capable of, he almost felt the need to avoid Kyoya at all costs. It wasn't like his other secret was something life changing that would threaten the lives of anyone that knew. But it also wasn't something that Sol wanted anyone to know about.

While he thought those things, Haruhi and Kaoru both watched Sol from under the roofed building. Whatever Kyoya had said to him must have really did something or struck a nerve, for Sol hadn't said a word to Kyoya since then or even looked at him. Haruhi looked at Kaoru and back to Sol. Sol lived with her now, so it would make sense for her to go over and comfort him. But Kaoru and Hikaru were still the same twins. They both still weren't used to people or having friends outside of the host club. Maybe this would be better.

Haruhi handed her drink to Kaoru before giving him a push out of the building. He stumbled and went to say something, but he saw Haruhi motion towards Sol and make a face. Coming to an understanding, Kaoru covered the tops of the two drinks, both his and what was going to be Sol's, before trotting through the rain over to the umbrella. He set the two drinks on the table that was connected to the umbrella before taking a seat in the other chair. Sol looked over and noticed the drink, taking a sip from it before looking back out. They didn't say anything for a minute, but Kaoru got tired of the silence.

"I'm sorry...for everything that's happening."

"What?" Sol looked over at Kaoru with a confused expression.

"I mean, this stuff that you're going through. Me finding out about you and seeing you that way in the bathroom earlier. Kyoya knowing. Whatever is under those bandages you've been hiding. I don't know what you have been through before now, but I'm sorry for making things worse, " Kaoru stated, scratching the back of his head and looking down at the ground.

Sol couldn't help but feel guilty. He let out a sigh before looking back at Kaoru. "It is fine Kaoru. I will admit that I didn't want anybody other than Haruhi finding out about me. But...in a way, I'm glad it was you that found out and not anyone else. Somehow I feel like everyone else wouldn't be able to keep it a secret or wouldn't have held themselves together as well as you did. You said you wouldn't tell anyone, and I'm thankful to you for that. But I don't want to bombard you with a bunch of things that you would have to hide from the others. I know you like to tell Hikaru everything."

"That is true, I do like to let him know. But if these things are important to you and you want to keep them secrets, then I would be willing to keep them hidden from everyone, even Hikaru." Kaoru looked over at Sol with a kind smile, taking a drink from his glass that he had brought over from the building before looking at Sol again.

Sol looked down at the ground, realizing that he couldn't keep these things in forever. Kaoru already knew about him being a girl and had already seen the bandages. It wasn't like he could hide it for long.

(Using girl words for Sol now)

"Before I joined Ouran, I lived in an apartment, one right across the street from Haruhi. At the time I didn't know that, but still. I had a roommate named Gin who I was friends with when I was little. He never knew about me being a girl either, even to this day he doesn't know, I hope. When we were younger he was always playful and friendly. But we separated when things at my house got really bad and I left. When I met up with him again he had changed. He was more selfish and greedy and lazy than before. I had moved in with him thinking that he just wasn't being himself, but that was just the way he was. He never knew about my family being rich, since he never knew when we were little either. I worked almost everyday trying to support us both since he never worked. When I started going to Ouran, he noticed me not being home most of the day and not as much money coming in. The one day I got home from school and he had snooped in my room. He found my Ouran uniform and knew that it was a rich school. He started yelling and getting furious that I never told him about my family being rich or me going to some fancy school. We got into a fight and...he threw me through a glass table that we had in the living room. That's where the big scratches under my bandages came from."

Kaoru listened intently to her story, getting shocked, angry, and worried when she started to talk about the fighting. He was about to say something about guys fighting girls, but he remembered her saying that Gin didn't know that she was a girl.

"When the fighting was done Gin ran off. Haruhi had heard the fighting across the street and ran over with her dad. They hurried up and took me to their house before anybody could find out what happened. They patched me up and that was when Haruhi found out I was a girl. That was also when Haruhi and Ranka offered for me to stay at their house until I found another place to go. I've been staying at their house since the fight. Now you know about me being a girl and apparently so does Kyoya."

When Sol was done telling her story, Kaoru sat there and stared over at her, surprised that all of that happened to her within a short amount of time. And all because she joined Ouran. He almost wanted to feel guilty about that fact, but he also knew that it wasn't his fault. He shook his head, reaching over and putting his hand on her shoulder.

"Thanks for telling me, Sol. I promise that I won't tell anyone else, not even Hikaru. But I do have one question. What did Kyoya mean earlier? I know he said that he knew you were a girl, but what did he mean by the records not lying about names thing?"

Sol went quiet and her face grew dark. That was one thing she was hoping that Kaoru would have forgotten about or didn't notice. She didn't want to tell him that secret. Even though she knew she could trust Kaoru, she didn't want to tell him.

"Sol...isn't my actual name...or at least it's not the name that was given to me when I was born...after I left the home I was raised in I didn't want to be known by the name I had because of the things that it brought with it. I didn't officially change my name to Sol, but I don't let anyone call me anything else. I just...right now that isn't something I want to share...maybe some other time..., " she stated, still not looking away from the ground.

Kaoru seemed shocked by the fact that Sol wasn't her real name, but he didn't push the subject. From that point on, the two of them sat in those chairs, drinking their drinks and sitting in silence, enjoying each other's company.

When the rain was over, the whole club swam for another few hours before it was time to go. Everybody got into the cars that picked them up, including the twins. Hikaru and Kaoru offered Haruhi and Sol rides back home. Hikaru sat next to Haruhi while Kaoru sat next to Sol, all telling jokes about what they did while they swam and making fun of Tamaki, as usual. When they got to the apartment, Haruhi got out of the car and so did Sol. Sol turned and for a moment her and Kaoru locked eyes, seeming to exchange a message through their face alone before the black car pulled away.
