"You better not be trying to stop me Blaise" Ginny scolded as she headed towards the door leading out of the Great Hall.
Blaise smirked and put his hands up in mock surrender, "of course I wouldn't do such a thing" he laughed "I merely wanted to escort you, and make sure no one gets in the way of your fiery wrath."
Ginny scoffed as she pushed past him, through the doors and headed down to the dungeons.
"So," Blaise stepped in time beside her "where are you heading?"
Ginny glared "I think it would be best if you get lost now Blaise" she increased her stride
Blaise however increased his too, seemingly without any effort "now that's not a nice tone" he stretched out his arm and caused her to stop.
He gently pushed her shoulders so she backed into a wall, his body came close to hers and blocked any exit she might have had a hope of using.
"What are you doing?" she stuttered, her eyebrows arched in question.
He chuckled "you didn't really think I would let you get close to Draco and Hermione did you?"
Ginny frowned and tried to push past him, however her attempts remained futile.
"A – ah," Blaise leaned in and put his hands either side of her head, and whispered in her ear "I don't usually get involved in Draco's antics…" he paused for a few seconds "however helping him this time proved to my advantage" he leaned back so his face was hovering just above hers.
Ginny looked up at him, her pupils dilated "and what's that?"
"Seeing you" he said simply
Ginny's eyes widened for a second before she frowned "I can't believe it" she laughed and pointed to his chest "you know, you almost had me believing you for a second there. What an utter load of crap" She placed her hands against his chest and pushed as hard as she could, which caused a surprised Blaise to stumble back an inch. Ginny ducked through the space and sprinted into the dungeon corridor. However she didn't get very far before she felt hands around her waist holding her back.
"Let go!" she shouted, whilst struggling in his grip
In response Blaise simply lifted her up and carried her towards a near-by storage cupboard. Ginny struggled harder, she tried to kick his legs and pry his arms from her waist.
As he opened the cupboard door she said a bit out of breath "please stop, put me down"
"My pleasure" Blaise announced in a mock gallant accent and placed her inside the cupboard, and locking it behind him.
Ginny stepped up right against his tall frame, "let. Me. Out."
"I will" Blaise stepped forward so their bodies were pressed together. Ginny quickly stepped back feeling foolish for being that close to him in the first place.
"Good" she shoved past him towards the door and reached for her wand in her back pocket to unlock it. However her hands came up empty. She whirled around to see Blaise leaning against a shelf smiling slyly.
"Give me my wand back" she stepped forward
"I don't have it"
"yes you do"
"No I don't." Blaise held up his hands "but I did have it"
Ginny scowled "well where is it now?"
"In my dormitory"
"What!"
"It's in my dormitory" Blaise repeated calmly
"Well, get it back" Ginny demanded
"Sorry," Blaise stepped forward "no can do, at least not until Draco's finished."
Ginny sighed silently, and leant against the wall opposite Blaise and slid down. I hope Hermione's alright she thought, as she scowled at Blaise's amused expression from the floor.
.
Hermione hissed and spit as Draco carried her into his dormitory and placed her onto his bed. Looking around she thankfully noticed no one else was in the room. She turned her green eyes onto Draco, who now, in her kitten form, looked like a giant.
"Change me back!" she shouted.
Draco's face filled with mirth, and she realised that all anyone could hear were the meows of a cat. Malfoy I am going to get you back for this, just you wait and see. She walked to the edge of the bed I'll turn you into a ferret again, or maybe a gold-fish and put you in the black lake and see how much you- too distracted by her thoughts she fell off the side of the bed. She landed on her side, thank you very much to all who said cats always land on four legs, and fell on top of some soft material which she accidently sunk into, as she tried to get out of it.
"You know Granger, if you wanted to get into my pants, you only had to ask," Draco said with a grin as she looked up at him with horror.
For a second she froze, too stunned by the situation. But then she looked down at her tiny black paws on top the drawer of underwear and freaked out. She clawed the wooden edge as she desperately tried to leave the horrid place. Finally after one big leap she managed to leave the drawer and fall onto the floor. Draco was shaking with laughter now, and Hermione, though initially angry, realised that she could now head to the door. She crept underneath Draco's bed which thankfully was clear of dust and other things thanks to the house elves, and spied the dormitory exit. Not wasting another second, she bolted. Through the corridor she went and headed into the Slytherin common room. With Draco shouting behind her she headed towards the portrait, however it was closed. Sensing her demise she decided to hide inside the coal buckets in the fireplace. They served as a good camouflage when Draco entered the room and searched around. He stood up tall, blocking the door and made an announcement to the people in the common room, who luckily hadn't seen her either, as she had used chairs to run under for cover.
"There is a black kitten in this room, which I need to find very badly." He ran a hand through his, now messy, blonde hair "So no one can leave this room until it is found." The Slytherins in the common room grumbled a little bit, but because of their bit of grudging respect for Malfoy they stood up and began to look for her.
Hermione curled her tail closer to her body and sank lower into the bucket.
"They'll find you, you know." A quiet voice muttered to her, coming from one of the armchairs next to the fireplace. "It's only a matter of time before someone thinks to use a spell to discover your hiding place, or to accio you from where you are." Hermione raised her eyes from the bucket and looked over to where the voice was coming from. She blinked in surprise to find Theodore Nott, looking at her with a small smile. She tilted her head, to show her confusion.
"I can help you, if you like" he offered "one blink for yes, two blinks for no"
Hermione blinked once, but tilted her head to the side again in question
"Why am I helping you?" Hermione blinked once "well, seeing as I was an accomplice earlier I feel that I have helped Draco as a friend, but feel no guilt in aiding you with the fact that if you were clever enough to escape his clutches, then I should help you with the final step.
Theo waved his wand over her and the bucket to prevent any other spells from affecting her for the next thirty minutes. Then he stood up, his tall frame of six foot one, loomed above her, and he moved his armchair ever so slightly to hide her from half the room. Once out of Hermione's sight, he pulled a gold broomstick from his pocket and tapped it with the end of his wand. No need to give her all our secrets though, he chuckled.
.
Blaise jolted as the broomstick in his pocket heated up. Ginny looked up at him in surprise as he spun around and took out the broom and let the handle write a message onto his hand. In Theo's neat calligraphy it read
Draco has let Granger go back to the Gryffindor common room, and says you need to hold the Weasley girl no longer… though you might not want to leave herCasanova, Draco needs to talk to us all right away. ~ Theo
Blaise scowled at the writing on his hand and scrubbed it away on his trousers before placing the broom back into his pocket.
"Seems like we are free to go now Princess" Blaise announced as he turned around "your friend is safely back in your common room"
Ginny scoffed "right, well it has been a pleasure" she said sarcastically as she rose from the floor, dusting her hands off on her robes.
"You're not leaving me quite yet, Princess" Blaise stepped forward, mischief in his eyes
"Oh yeah?" Ginny raised an eyebrow "and why is that? And stop giving me nicknames!"
"Well, Princess," Ginny scowled "We've got to retrieve your wand from my dormitory, don't we?"
Ginny huffed as Blaise opened the door, and they headed towards the Slytherin common room.
.
Hermione was ready, as soon as Blaise came through the portrait she bolted through the gap and into the dungeon corridor. Shouts came behind her, however she kept on running. She did stumble when she realised who was next to Blaise in the doorway. Why was Ginny there? Did Blaise have her under some sort of spell? But she knew in the end she had to carry on, she was no use to anyone in this form and Ginny was one of the best witches she knew. She could take care of herself.
.
Ginny scowled at everyone looking at her and said to Blaise in exasperation,
"Right, where's your dormitory?"
Everyone's eyes went wide, including Draco and Theo's.
Ginny went red, "Not like that!" she shouted "he's got my wand!"
"In a knot" Draco muttered to Theo, who nodded in agreement.
"I'm going to get you for this Blaise" Ginny muttered, following him, her glare fixed on the back of his head. "You're never going to see it coming"
Thanks for reading! This chapter was more of Blaise/Ginny, than Dramione, it was good fun writing it. They have a slightly different dynamic that I am enjoying exploring.
