"Hey."
"Hey."
Arizona was glad at least she and Callie could scrub in for surgery without an icy wind blowing around them. They had a ten year old with a bleed in their belly and a broken leg to focus on after all.
"Sofia is ready for your turn with her," Callie said as she scrubbed her hands. "Her bag is in my office. You still have the key, right?"
"I do," Arizona nodded. "I was thinking of taking her to the park since I'm out at four. She really likes the swings and there are benches near that area so if I need to sit I can."
Callie looked over at Arizona a moment before looking forward again. Arizona admitting she might need to sit down was a new thing and one that made Callie smile.
"Send me some photos?" Callie requested.
"Of course," Arizona smiled as she chanced a look over at Callie.
Callie paused another moment before she looked over at Arizona. She caught Arizona looking at her and couldn't help but give her a small smile in return.
"How are … Is therapy … Are you coping?" Callie fumbled over trying to check in with Arizona.
"I'm seeing Dr. Mason twice times a week right now," Arizona admitted. "With how much I have to unpack having two sessions a week has been useful." She shifted a bit as she tried to figure out how much to tell Callie. "I'm surviving. I'm doing what you asked and what I need to do to process what happened." She walked around Callie with her hands held up. "But I miss you," she said before she used her back to open the OR do.
"I miss you too," Callie whispered to no one. She finished scrubbing in before following Arizona into the OR to get to work.
