A/N: Okay so this chapter is a whole lot more serious and a bit darker than normal. It is based on one of two suggestions by DragonEmerald. The second one will be much funnier! :D Anyways this one was extremely fun to write! (And side note the villain in this chapter is just a generic made up villain – you'll see when you get there!) Disclaimer: I don't own The Avengers, Loki or Harry Potter.

It was a partly cloudy Saturday, and the God of Mischief sat snuggly in the arms of the Mark VII Iron Man armor – much to Tony's dismay. He gently cradled a book of utmost literary importance in his hands. He read each word with delight as the story of a young wizard discovering secrets of a world he previously had been oblivious to effortlessly flowed in the god's mind. Tony had not expected the Trickster to become so placid when the billionaire had first introduced him to the Harry Potter series only three days prior. Loki hadn't moved since starting the series, and the Avengers were grateful for a reprieve from his mischief. The intercom buzzed to life in Stark's lab.

"Hey, Tony, can come up here really quick?" It was Bruce's voice.

"For what?" the Man of Iron responded with a touch of irritation – he was quite close to perfecting his Mark 42 armor.

"Steve has somehow gotten Thor stuck in the mechanism that you use to get out of your Iron Man suit, and unless you want The Other Guy to deal with it I suggest you get up here!"

"Coming!" Tony yelped as he hurriedly left the lab. Loki suppressed his smirk with a content sigh, and welcomed the silence. He barely had enough time to read the last sentence of The Deathly Hallows before an explosion shook the building. Loki was already up and running up the many stairs when the power flickered off. He bit back a curse as he tried to take in the sight in front of him. The silence of the tower unnerved him as his eyes searched through the blood stained rubble on the main floor. The Captain's shield protruded from the far wall like a terrible trophy; shreds of clothing littered the floor – likely from Banner having 'Hulked-out'; arrows that had impossibly missed their mark were scattered around the large, broken windows. Loki felt his heart drop as he slowly approached a bloodied Mjolnir.

"Thor!" The cry escaped his throat before he could stop it. He frantically began to dig through the ruble and search the rest of the floor.

"Tony?"

No answer.

"Captain!?"

Silence.

"Natasha…?"

Nothing.

"Dr. Banner!"

Only stillness.

"…Clint?!"

He was alone.

Loki searched every inch of Stark Tower. He reappeared in the main living room and nearly jumped when the power came back on. Every appliance in the tower burst to life with the surge of power. The TV kicked on, and the light from the 'Breaking News Story' reflected off the skin of the pale god.

"The team known as 'The Avengers' has been kidnapped – I repeat – kidnapped. Here is once again the footage we just received mere minutes ago." The newscast switched to a poor quality video with terrible lighting. A large man adorned with armor suspiciously similar to that of the Chitauri approached the camera.

"Earth….what a petty little place filled with weak, human, scum. You hide behind 'heroes' that you think will keep you safe….but you are wrong." He backed away from the camera and gestured to his right. Loki's eyes widened by a fraction when the camera panned to reveal the Avengers, all of whom were restrained to the back wall of whatever terrible room they were being kept in. Thor and the Hulk seemed to be the only ones still conscious. The God of Thunder was sporting a fresh wound down the right side of his face.

Loki was already in his battle armor – magic pulsated and sparked all around him.

"JARVIS! Locate them," he bit in a serious tone. The AI made a few strange noises before the lights flickered, and he came back online.

"Reboot successful. Searching: Avengers, location…." There was a loud beep. "Location found. Mr. Laufeyson, the Avengers have been taken to an obscure location that does not appear on any map. Judging by the…nasty… appearance of the abductor, you may need more fire power." Loki sneered at the ceiling.

"I am a God! And I-,"

"So is Thor, and this new enemy successfully took out him as well as the other Avengers at the same time." The god bit back an insult with a glare.

"What then do you suggest, computer?" If JARVIS was capable of scoffing he would've done so at that moment.

"There is an assortment of items down in Mr. Stark's lab that will be of aide to you." Loki teleported back down to the lab, and JARVIS opened a large portion of one of the far walls.

"Someone's been busy," Loki said with a smile despite the serious situation as he ran an elegant hand across a golden staff that bared a resemblance to the one that controlled the Tesseract. He could easily tell that it was built with materials similar to the Iron Man armor.

"The staff uses Repulser Blast Technology and has the ability to channel your specific magic," JARVIS informed. "There is also a headset that you will find necessary if you wish to find the Avengers." The Trickster picked up and examined the headset wearily. It was designed to fit over his left eye, presumably so that he would be able to see the hub and communicate with JARVIS outside of the tower. He gracefully slipped it on, and was half-blinded when it scanned his eye. He could hear JARVIS calmly speak through the ear piece that fitted into his left ear.

"I am uploading the current location of the Avengers. Will you be needing assistance with transportation?" Loki smirked.

"I have no need for petty, Midgardian transportation," he said haughtily as he picked up the scepter that Tony had built for him. He concentrated on the flashing location symbol on the hub. "No one messes with my Avengers."

. . .

Thor blearily looked around. He felt beaten and battered, and his teammates didn't look much better. A large man approached the god and roughly grabbed his face, forcing the Thunderer to look into his dark eyes. The man laughed gruffly at him.

"Look at you, the Son of Odin, here at my disposal. No one will come to save you or your friends. Even if someone did come, they would never be able to defeat me," he declared with menacing promise. Thor winced as pain flared from the gash on his right cheek.

"Oh really? What exactly makes you so undefeatable?" A smooth voice echoed throughout the room. The man smirked and slowly turned to face his challenger.

"Look at who I have in my possession. Earth's Mightiest Heroes are no match for me," he said manically. Loki stepped out of the shadows and smirked. "Come to play with someone else's toys, Scavenger?"

"I need no one to catch my own prey."

"Then why come? To see your dear brother to his grave?" The man roughly jabbed Thor with a pointed fist. Loki swiftly closed the distance between them and held his glowing scepter up to the man's throat.

"Know this, Vermin, the only one who will ever kill Thor is me, and the only one capable of subduing the Avengers is also me. But you have made the fortunate mistake of angering me," the Trickster slowly cut down the side of the man's throat as he spoke, "you will not live long enough to make that mistake again." The man abruptly ducked and shoved Loki away.

"So you're here to save them? What a failure you are! Thanos was right about your incompetence." Loki sneered at the mention of Thanos's name.

"You are unworthy to face the Avengers, and all the more unworthy to face me, Thanos's Scum!" the God of Mischief shouted as he began to gracefully battle the man. The conscious Avengers watched as Loki easily had the man down on his knees, beaten, battered, and bleeding in three seconds flat. The god's voice sounded terrifying and final as he leant down to hiss in his opponent's ear. "Perhaps my daughter will be kind enough to let you out of the afterlife just long enough to tell Thanos that he is undeserving of Humanity and the heroes that protect it." The man smirked up at him.

"And you are?"

Loki grinned.

"Bitch, I might be." And with that Loki surged all of his magic through his staff and literally obliterated the man in a wave of golden energy. Thor watched as his adopted brother slowly caught his breath and turned to face the bound heroes. A single tear ran down the Trickster's right cheek. The God of Thunder felt a twinge of pain in his heart. An alarm suddenly started blaring in the room.

"Self-Destruct sequence initiated. Ten," an automated female voice calmly stated overhead. Loki looked up in panic.

"Ten? Ten what?" he shouted.

"Nine."

"JARVIS, cease this countdown immediately!" the younger god hissed.

"I'm afraid that I cannot override the systems," JARVIS replied in a believably worried tone.

"Eight." Loki frantically searched the room with his eyes. There was a control table on the other side. He appeared next to it, and poured some of his magic into it.

"Seven."

"Damn!" the Prankster cursed as he studied the chains that were holding back the Avengers. He attempted to unlock them with his magic.

"Six."

"Come now Brother! There's not much time!" Thor shouted. Loki sneered. Come on work! Damn you, woooork! He got an absurd idea.

"Five."

"ALOHOMORA!" he shouted. The chains quickly fell apart.

"Four."

"Thor! Help me grab everyone!" Loki ordered as he grabbed Natasha and Tony. The Hulk abruptly jumped over, grabbed Steve, Clint, and Thor before snagging The Trickster's arm.

"Three." Loki concentrated on Stark tower and willed the seven of them to be there. There was a cold swoosh of air and a loud pop.

"You did it, Brother," Thor said gratefully. The God of Mischief opened his eyes. Relief flooded over him as he took in the welcome sight of Stark Tower. Tony grunted next to him.

"Did you…really just save us..using…..Harry Potter?!" the billionaire exclaimed in disbelief. Loki laughed quietly. Yes, these were his Avengers – his family.

A/N: Ohana means family! (And family means nobody gets left behind!) I do hope you enjoyed this more serious chapter! And do leave any suggestions, requests, and general feedback! :D Stay awesome out there!
