Hi everyone I am sorry that I have not written this story is just that I have been busy with other stories, gaming, and work. So here is the next chapter of pokemon's hunchback of Notre dame. I am also thinking of making some changes to the fanfic. One of the changes is that is hard to picture Ash without Pikachu. So I am giving Pikachu back to him but I don't know how is that going to fit into the story. I also couldn't find any Inspiration for this story too. That was the other reason why I haven't been writing this story as well. I am thinking of giving Felicia a Pikachu as well but hers is going to be a female and she is going to have a name. So it doesn't get confused with Ash's Pikachu. So the name of Felicia's Pikachu is Rosemary. If you want to know why her name is Rosemary. Check out my other story called SUPER MARIO'S DAUGHTER. Which is almost coming to an end. So enough of me Stalling and let's get this show on the road. Or maybe I should keep everything as it is. Will let's forget about that for right now and let's get on with the story.
Down at the square everyone in Paris was getting ready and excited for today's festival.
The whole square was full of a lot of people.
Back at the bell tower, Sophocles is also getting ready to join in on the fun as well. He was wearing a black coat so that no one will notice him, especially his master Giovanni. He will be in huge trouble if Giovanni spotted him. At first, he didn't think this was a good idea but the gargoyles made him change his mind and told him to just watch the shows and stay out of sight and try to blend in with the crowd so that Giovanni will not see him.
After he realizes that his friends were right he climbed down from the bell tower by using the cathedral's columns and statues that look like angels, apostles, and gargoyles. He used them to help him to get down to the square. When he got down he realize that he swing right in the middle of the road by accident that was in front of the parade that is supposed to start the festival. The parade came to a stop so that they can have Brock do his big entrance. He appeared in a cloud of smoke with the sound of trumpets that were announcing his arrival Once Brock came out of the smoke the whole crowd started to cheer for him after he made his entrance. " Thank you everyone for coming to this year's festival of fools. We are sure you all are going to have a lot of fun. We have so many games, shows, food, dances and so much more for you on this special day just remember to have lots of fun." Brock announced as he noticed Sophocles in front of him who looked scared so he tried to hide in the crowd. Brock thought that he was part of the parade so he started to dance with him right in the middle of the square. Sophocles pulled his arm out of Brock's strong grip as he was trying to run away in the crowd.
Sophocles was so scared that he didn't know where to run to. But as he was running he crashed into a tent. Where the gypsy girl Felicia was getting ready to do her dance. When She saw him she ran over to him to see if he wasn't hurt". Oh no are you alright" she asked as she was trying to see if he had any cuts or Bruises on his face but she didn't find any. When Felicia was trying to look at his face Sophocles tried to stop her from looking at his face " No, No, I'm fine" he said as he got up from his fall with Felicia helping him up. " see you are fine. But please try to be more careful" She said sweetly. She said as she lead him to the exit of the tent. " Oh one more thing I love your mask," She said before she went back to the tent so that she can finish getting ready. When Sophocles got out of the tent he didn't understand what she said about wearing a mask. He didn't worry about it too much since one of the shows was about to start. After he got out of the tent he went to go find a good spot to watch the show.
Suddenly a carriage arrived which was being led by Ash and the other soldiers. Inside the carriage was Giovanni. When they got to the festival Ash told the soldiers to spread out in the square while he will stay and guard Giovanni. The soldiers nodded at their captain and left to do their jobs. Some soldiers decided to stay and help Ash guard him. He didn't have a problem with that. The carriage stopped near a tent that had a chair inside that looked like a throne. Giovanni sat in his chair as the show was about to start. " This better not be a waste of my time," he said to himself as he sat down on his chair waiting to see this so-called show. " Oh don't worry sir I am sure it wouldn't be that bad," Ash said. Then he turned to his Pikachu that he picked up before they were heading to the festival. " This festival does look fun doesn't it Pikachu and Rapidash" Ash said as he looked at his pokemon. They all agreed with him.
The show started with Brock on stage getting everyone ready for their show it is a show that is full of mystery and romance. He told the crowd. He got up on the stage and told everyone that they have something new this year and it is a dance done by the most beautiful gypsy in all of Paris. He said as everyone was at the edge of their seat to see who Brock was talking about.
"Come see a dance that is full of enchantment and Romance Said Brock as he walked up to the stage as he was ready to introduce everyone to the Gypsies' greatest dancer. Come one and all and see the most beautiful and the most enchanted girl of all of Paris. Her smile can brighten anyone's day and our best dancer of all the gypsies. Ladies and gentlemen I give you Felicia" said Brock as he used red smoke to make himself disappear and what stood in his place was Felicia who was dancing in front of the whole crowd. All of the men couldn't keep their eyes off of her, especially Ash and Giovanni. When he saw her he turned to Ash and said have you ever seen anything so disgusting in all of your life" said Giovanni.
Ash was too busy watching Felicia to hear him. He was in awe when he saw her. He felt like he was watching an angel come down from the heavens " wow what a performance. I haven't seen anyone dance like that in all of my life. " Ash said in awe as he was staring at Felicia. Then he realized that she was the gypsy girl that he helped out in the square earlier today. Then he heard his master clearing his throat which got him out of his trance. Then turned back to see Giovanni giving him an angry look
" oh sorry sir did you say something," Ash asked him. " I said have you ever seen anything so disgusting all of your life," Giovanni asked again. But Ash didn't know what he found disgusting about it but he just said " yes sir". With a huge grin on his face
Felicia heard what Giovanni said about her performance so she came over to him and wiped her scarf around his neck and kissed him on his hat as she was teasing him. This cause Ash to laugh quietly to himself. Then Felicia got off of him. When she did Giovanni glared at her and took off the scarf with an angry expression that was shown on his face. He noticed that Ash and Pikachu were laughing " huh" he said as he sent Ash a dead glare at him " oh sorry sir but come on you have to admit that was pretty funny" he said hoping that he will not get fired on his first day on the job. " uh what foolishness and never laugh at me again captain" he said.
Ash was afraid of his master's tone and bowed his head and said yes sir it will never happen again. He said as he turned back to Felicia's performance. Who couldn't help but be impressed with how flexible she was by doing all of those spins and twirls? Ash's Pikachu was also impressed by how her Pikachu knows all those moves too. Who was staring at the female Pikachu with stars in his eyes as he was watching her dance beside her trainer?
After Felicia did her little trick on Giovanni she went back to the stage and continued to finish off her dance with her Pikachu. Felicia was doing so many amazing tricks on stage that everyone can not stop looking at her she was doing different types of cartwheels, spins, twirls, Flips every acrobatic stunt out there. With her Pikachu who was also doing the same dances as well. But the best part of her performance was when she did a split right in the middle of the stage. As She was doing her split she noticed Sophocles who gave him a wink. Which made him hide his face inside his hood. Then she stood up and did several different backflips and other different types of flips as well. Then for the last flip she landed on the edge of the stage with her knees with her legs apart from each other then she used one hand to balance herself. A lot of people were impressed that she can do all of these stunts and couldn't believe how talented she was. After her dance fireworks appeared behind her which was the grand finale of her dance. When she was done the crowd roared in applause as Felicia stood up and take several bows. Then everyone in the audience made the whole stage rain with coins even Ash even threw his own coins for him and for Pikachu. The only one that didn't give in their coins was Giovanni who just scoffed in disgust.
After Felicia took her coins Brock came back on stage so that he starts the next activity but without telling Felicia what a great job she did. . " So how do you think I did" Felicia asked. " you did great now thanks to you we have more coins then we know what to do with" he said as he gave Felicia a huge hug. Now, this festival is not over yet. We still have to do the ugliest face in Paris contest" he said to her. " alright let's do this" she said as she started to look for people who like to take part in this contest.
As Ash was watching the festival with Pikachu he wished that he can join in on the fun. I am sure you will love to be a part of it don't you Pikachu? I wonder what's going to happen next. They look like they are having fun. It sure beats standing here and guarding He said to his Rapidash and Pikachu as he was excited to see what else this festival is going to bring. Giovanni noticed his captain was out of focus. " Hey, captain stay focused" he ordered. " Yes, sir," he said with a serious face on
Then Brock turned to the crowd and told them it is time for the moment that all of you have been waiting for it is time to crown the king of fools. So make the ugliest face and today will be your chance to become royal. As Brock was picking people that he will think that is the ugliest. Felicia had one person that will be perfect for this contest so she looked over the crowd to look for Sophocles. She found him on the edge of the stage. " come on it's a great time to show everyone that great mask of yours" she said as she pulled Sophocles up to the stage and put him in line with the other people that wanted to take part in the contest as well but all of them were wearing masks. Once Sophocles was in line with the other players Felicia started to take each of the player's masks off of them so that the crowd can help her decide who will win the king of fools. All of them were not as ugly as the last person that Felicia picked. When Felicia tried to take off Sophocles's mask she realize that it was not his mask it was actually his face. She grasps in horror once she realizes that he was not wearing a mask. Then the people started to realize who he was and people were starting to get scared of the hunchback from Notre dame is here and everyone couldn't believe how ugly he looked but there was one person that was shocked to see him the most and that was Giovanni. He was shocked that Sophocles had disobeyed his orders about leaving the bell tower and now it was time to teach him a lesson. When the crowd realize that was his face everyone kept on thinking if he was a monster or something else that does not seem to be human. Brock came up to them and told them not to worry cause they did ask for the ugliest face of all of Paris and they have found him. " Don't fear everyone we have asked for the ugliest face in Paris and here he is Sophocles of Norte dame." Cheered Brock which made everyone in the crowd calm down except for Giovanni until he came up with an idea that will teach him a lesson about disobeying him. So he whispered something to one of his soldiers. Ash saw Giovanni whispering something to one of the soldiers. He saw them nodding their heads in agreement as Ash was watching curious and wondered what they were whispering about and was afraid of what they were planning. Then he saw the soldier that Giovanni was talking to run straight into the crowd. " I have a bad feeling about this. What is he up to? Whatever it is I have a feeling it has something to do with that bellringer by the way he was shocked to see him. Whatever he is planning I have to keep my eye on that bellringer. Ash said worriedly as he looked at Giovanni disappointed, " um sir is anything wrong" Ash asked him. " oh no captain I just need to teach someone a lesson. You will soon find out, just wait and you will see." he said as he sat back down on his chair he had a huge smirk on his face which he did a horrible job hiding it. Ash knew that he was lying he can tell by just looking at his face. He knows that Giovanni is up to something and it is not good and he does not have a good feeling about it.
So when the crowd calm down they placed Sophocles on top of the throne. Then Felicia gave him a cape and a crown that she placed on his head and then she take the cape and wrapped it around his neck. The last item that Felicia gave him was a scepter. When Sophocles was sitting on the throne. The parade started along the way Sophocles got kissed on the cheek by women. During the parade, he saw Giovanni in his tent just glowering at him. Sophocles thought that it was okay to disobey him this time because the people were starting to like him.
The parade went all around the square until they stopped at a platform. When they got to the platform Sophocles just got off the throne and walked towards the platform where he was raising his scepter in victory. The crowd roared with applause when he got to the platform then the whole platform was raining confetti and flowers that were falling all around him while band music was playing. Sophocles had tears in his eyes as the townspeople were chanting his name.
Then Suddenly out of nowhere, the soldier that Giovanni was talking to earlier threw a tomato at Sophocles' face. The people were shocked until they heard a soldier laughing and pointing at Sophocles. " Now that is one ugly man" The soldier shouted. Then another soldier joined in as he threw a tomato at him as well as he shouted " hail to the king" in a teasing tone. The other guards doing the same thing as they were throwing not just tomatoes. They were also throwing carrots, Cabbages, and berries at the bellringer as well.
Sophocles tried to use his hands to block the food that was being thrown at him but they were coming in all directions and coming at him fast. He was about to get off the platform when he slipped on a tomato which caused him to fall on his back and made him drop his scepter. Once the citizens saw what the soldiers were doing they thought that they should do it too. So the townspeople grabbed food from the dining tables and started to throw food at Sophocles as well.
Sophocles managed to get the despite all the food that was on the platform from taking three steps trying to get off the platform but green ropes started to wrap around his neck. " Where are you going your highness," one man said as he was continuing to throw ropes on the hunchback.
Sophocles tried to get out of the ropes but they were too strong for him to break free from. The ropes did not just wrap around his neck they even wrap the ropes around his legs and arms to keep him from running away. As Sophocles was getting tortured by the townspeople some people were laughing and pointing fingers at him He used all of his straight to pull the ropes apart but it did not work.
Meanwhile, in Giovanni's tent, he smirked at the soldier who was the first one that started throwing food at Sophocles. The soldier came over to Giovanni's side and just gave him a nod of approval. Then Giovanni stopped smirking when he heard someone crying out his name and it was Sophocles crying out for his master to help him.
" Master please help me" Sophocles cried. But Giovanni just turned his head with his arms crossed showing that he is not going to help his adopted son. So now that it was clear that he is all alone in this mess. But that is when he is wrong.
Meanwhile, When Felicia was in the dressing room getting changed she heard Commotion coming from outside. She ran outside and what she saw disgusted her. She saw the townspeople throwing food and garbage at Sophocles. She knew that this is her chance to help. But before she was about to go on stage to stop it. Brock stopped her from making a huge mistake that will cause her life but Felicia didn't care. Giovanni has gone way too far. She knows that there has to be someone that will have the courage to stand up to him and that person is going to be her. " Wait, Felicia, I know what you are thinking but please this is too dangerous. Please come to your senses " Brock said to her. " I know Brock but I can't stand to watch Giovanni hurting innocent people. He has gone too far. If no one is going to stand up to him and tell him that what he is doing is wrong then I am going to do it" She said. Brock knew what Felicia is doing is a crazy idea but by the look on her face. He can tell that she was serious about this so he didn't try to stop her because he knew that Felicia was right someone has to stand up to Giovanni sooner or later. She is going to be the first person that is going to do it. She does not even care if she is going to lose her life for it. Brock just smiled at her and said good luck.
" But Felicia you will get hurt or even worst arrested and I can't have anything bad happen to you," said Brock. " I'm sorry Brock but that is a risk that I have to take." She said as she started to walk up to the platform where people were still throwing their food and garbage at Sophocles.
Felicia was not the only person that was disgusted by this torture. Ash was also in shock as he watched the crowd continuing to barrage Sophocles. He turns to Giovanni waiting for him to permit him to stop this torture. " Sir please give me permission to stop this torture," he asked. " Not yet Captain, Not until a lesson is learned," Giovanni said Bluntly.
" But sir with all due respect" Ash began to protest. Ash was about to continue his protest when he heard him say a lesson. This gave him a thought about what lesson this is supposed to teach anyone. He thought to himself
All the townspeople and the soldiers were still throwing their garbage at Sophocles when they heard a loud female voice that came from the crowd "Enough!" Said a voice that came from the crowd. The crowd stopped once they see Felicia running up to the platform to help Sophocles to get out of those ropes and helped him get the tomato off of his face. Then she turned to the crowd disgusted and said " All of you should be ashamed of yourselves this is not how we treat people at the festival of fools. Did you really think that this was part of the festival torturing a Sensitive man" She shouted to the crowd? Then she turned her look to the judge who was disgusted with him the most for letting the people do this to him. Then she turned to Sophocles and said " Hey Don't be scared, I am not going to hurt you and I'm sorry that this happened" She said to him as she was trying to help him get cleaned from all of the food that was being thrown at him. When Felicia came closer to him he tried to look away but he was shocked to see someone being nice to him for the first time in his whole life. He can see the compassion in her chocolate-brown eyes she was like an angel that was sent from the heavens to come and help him.
There was one person that was not happy to see Felicia helping Sophocles and it was Giovanni when he saw her helping him he was disgusted by her action. Giovanni just clenched his teeth as he watched Felicia take care of him. His hatred for her and her people was starting to grow. Now that one of them is ruining his plans on teaching Sophocles a lesson. Giovanni couldn't watch this anymore so he stood up on his chair and said " Hey Gypsy girl I command you to stop helping him and get down from there this instant" Giovanni shouted at her as he pointed his finger at her. This just causes Felicia to look straight at him and said " No Sire as soon as I help this poor man" She said. Then he raised his voice again and said No I told you to stop helping him this instant. How dare you ignore me " he said as he was getting angry by the minute.
Felicia just ignored him and took a knife out of her pocket and used it to cut the ropes that were holding Sophocles. After Sophocles was out of the ropes Felicia turned back to the judge. " This has gone far enough me and my people have lived with your mistreatment long enough. Now I know that it is not just my people that you are hurting. You are also hurting those that are more helpless than you and you call yourself of judge of justice. Hey, Brock, I think we crowd the wrong fool because there is only one fool I see and it is this so-called judge" Said Felicia as she threw the crown that Sophocles was wearing and threw it right in front of Giovanni which got him angry. " Be quiet you gypsy witch " he shouted. Then Felicia raised her hand up in the air and said " Justice" she said out loud. The whole crowd was in awe as they were watching this gypsy girl standing up to Giovanni for the first time. No one has ever done that before until now. " Just so you know Gypsy this will not go unpunished. No one has ever spoken to me like that," he said as he pointed a finger at her. Giovanni had enough of having this gypsy girl telling him off. So he turned to his captain and told him to arrest her but Ash didn't think that she should be arrested because she didn't do anything wrong she was just trying to help. But of course, he didn't try to deny it and just did what he was told. so he just signed and snapped his fingers and pointed to the gypsy girl meaning it was a sign to arrest her. He couldn't believe it either that this strong woman had the chance to stand up to Giovanni this girl was a mystery to him. He haven't seen any woman that was so strong and brave all of his life and deep down inside he loved it. He also loved that she wasn't afraid to speak her mind. He got out of his thoughts until he heard the judge call out his name." Captain Ash, I want you to arrest her. I am sure that will keep her mouth shut and make her realize who she is talking to. Let's see how you are when you are in a jail cell that will teach you who is in charge around here" he said angrily as he pointed to Felicia.
Once Ash sent the guards after Felicia she just had a smirk on her face as the guards were coming closer to her. "Awww you boys think you can catch me and arrest me let's see if you can, Will let's see here there are only 10 of you and one of me I guess there is only one thing to say is goodbye," She said as she disappeared into a cloud of red smoke. Giovanni and the whole crowd were impressed by what she did.
" Hey gentleman looking for me," said Felicia as the red smoke made her appear on the mask table that was on the stage. The guards spotted her near the masks then she and her Pikachu started to dive head-first into the crowd making them surf the crowd so that they can get away.
When Felicia and her Pikachu got passed the crowd one of the soldier's hats fell off of them as they were chasing her and landed on her head. She took it off her head and notice some soldiers that were coming up to her. So she swings the hat right at them causing them to be knocked out.
On the sidelines, Ash was on the edge of his seat with Pikachu as he was watching Felicia do all of these amazing tricks just to stop the guards from catching her. " Wow, that is a strong Woman. Not only is she brave and strong. She is also talented as well " Ash said as he was lovestruck as he was talking to Pikachu who agreed with him.
Ash and the crowd were not the only ones impressed by Felicia's skills. Giovanni couldn't believe that this gypsy girl stood up to him. He haven't seen a gypsy that as beautiful, Talented, brave, strong, and smart in all his years of hunting gypsies he never met one like her before all he knows is that she was special and different than all of the others gypsies he dealt with in the past. He felt like she was putting him under a spell and he didn't like it at all. He will deal with that later right now he has other things that he has to take care of like still having to deal with his adopted son that disobeyed him which made him madder than the gypsy girl.
After a while of Felicia trying to get away from the guards she went to the top of a stage when she got up there, she took a bow to the crowd then she pulled a sheet over herself which made her and her Pikachu disappear.
After Felicia disappeared the city started to rain. Giovanni was determined to find Felicia but he wants her alive. Giovanni turned to Ash and said " Captain Ash find her at once and bring her back to me alive." he said to him. " as you wish sir, Listen men find that gypsy girl and do not hurt her." he shouted to the other soldiers.
Then Ash remembered something really important and it was the bellringer before Ash was about to help with the search for the gypsy girl he turned back to Giovanni and asked. " Sir what are we supposed to do with the bellringer," Ash asked as he was pointing to Sophocles who was depressed that he disobeyed his master and let that gypsy get in trouble he just wanted to go and have a good time but he just made everything worse. " Don't worry about him captain, just leave him to me. Just worry about finding that gypsy girl." Giovanni said to him. Ash just gave him a nod he was about to ride off on his Rapidash so that he can help out his men to look for the gypsy girl. until he saw a hooded figure that was heading toward Notre Dame. He decided to follow it inside the church. He looked at his Pikachu and said " Are you thinking, What I'm thinking Pikachu? I think it is time that we help and meet this gypsy girl. Let's see what we can do to try to help her and I have a strange feeling that hooded figure has to be her." he asked
Pikachu who was on his shoulder. Pikachu just said pika which meant let's go.
Meanwhile, after Ash left, Giovanni came over to the hunchback with an angry look showing that he was very angry with him. Once Sophocles saw his master coming over to him he was afraid of what he was going to do to him now that he had disobeyed him about leaving the bell tower. When the Judge came up to him Sophocles looked up at his master with a disappointed look and said " I am sorry Master. I should have listened to you and just for that I promised that I will never disobey you again" He said sadly. Giovanni didn't speak he was too angry to speak to him so he just pointed to the door to the church which meant go back to the bell tower now. " I will deal with you as soon as I get back to the bell tower," Giovanni said coldly as he was watching Sophocles walk up to the church. Sophocles just nodded and slowly made his way over to the doors of the church and closed the doors once he got back inside he returned to the dark and lonely world that he has always known.
He was even more upset because of his actions he got that gypsy girl in trouble and it was all his fault that she got in trouble. He didn't mean for that to happen all he wanted was to just have fun at the festival was that so much to ask?
Once he got back up to the bell tower he saw his friends who were disappointed that their plan to get Sophocles out of the bell tower failed. They only wanted to help but thought they just made things worse.
Laverne came up to him so that she can give him some comfort and to show that they all feel bad for what happened. Sophocles understood why they did it and was happy to have them as great friends. He said as he gave them a hug for making him have the confidence to go out of the bell tower to have some fun. But in the end, it all turned out to be a disaster.
We will see what will happen to Felicia and Sophocles in the next chapter. I hope all of you like this chapter of my vision of Pokemon's the hunchback of Notre Dame. In the next chapter. We will see what will happen with Ash and Felicia's relationship. While Giovanni finds Felicia and has her arrested or will something else happen? Find out in the next chapter. I am happy that I decided to work on this story. I am also sorry for how bad my grammar and spelling are. I already wrote the next chapter but it is not ready to be posted yet cause I just need to make sure that everything sounds right If I wrote down what I want everyone to say or do but for the most part it sounds pretty good.
