All right, now it's time we focus a little on Butch! We already established Brick a bit, and Boomer has always been a main character... but now it's time to focus more on Butch and how Miss Keane could possibly fix his little 'anger problem'... Anyway, enjoy!
The crack of the rising sun came through the window as it shined directly on Butch's face. Butch growled angrily as he opened one little green eye, wanting to just go up and punch whoever's idea it was to shine the sun into his face directly in the face. He growled in anger before kicking the blanket off the cot and carefully flew down to the ground, feeling the urge to punch something nearby. Then again, this was how he always was in the mornings... and ever since his body was revived by HIM. Maybe it was a distant memory, but while the boy was created to be similar to Buttercup, it was like someone had turned up the rage tones to eleven when it came to his re-creation. Thus, he would ALWAYS be angry. And normally, to make himself feel better in the morning, he would usually punch one of his brothers awake, usually Boomer. And knowing he was in the other room, Butch smirked darkly as he decided to fly out to get to his sleeping little brother on the couch. After all, what nobody knew... wouldn't hurt.
However, just as he was leaving the room, the boy found himself distracted by some strange sounds coming from another room. He stopped himself, as he turned, noticing another open door across the hall. And although the sounds were a little strange, it did sound like the lady in the room seemed to be doing something inside. Butch looked back towards the main room, where no doubt his brother was sleeping, resting his leg. Butch looked ready to fly over and punch the young blonde boy awake... however, the noises from that door sounded a little more intriguing by the minute.
Eventually, curiosity had momentarily overrode anger as the angry Rowdyruff Boy quickly zipped over in the room and peeked inside... only for the boy's eyes to widen sharply as he looked amazed.
For inside that room was a rather small gymnasium. Not a large one, but having enough equipment to make it seem so. There was a punching bag in the center of the room, a treadmill on the side of the wall, one of those step trackers to exercise legs, an exercise bike, and a training bench with a few dumbbells. And lifting at least two fifty-pound small dumbbells was Miss Keane, but rather than her regular outfit, she was wearing an orange tank top, and black shorts that accentuated her hips. She groaned heavily as she was using the dumbbells to train her arms, sighing a bit as she took a few deep breaths.
Butch curiously watched the rather tall woman lifting the dumbbells in awe as she pumped both arms up a few times before putting the dumbbells aside. Miss Keane then got up as she breathed heavily, a little sweat coming from her brow. As she casually wiped the sweat off with a cloth, her eye suddenly spotted Butch watching from a distance. Butch gave a gasp as he zipped into a nearby vase, as if looking embarrassed.
Miss Keane blinked twice, before giving a small smile. "Good morning, Butch. You don't need to hide from me. I already saw you."
Butch came out, looking a little embarrassed and angry, before shaking his head. "What is all this?"
The teacher smiled as she motioned Butch to come inside. "This is my own personal gym. Sometimes, I wake up every morning and do a little exercise before I usually get ready for the day."
"You... exercise?" Butch cocked his head in confusion.
"All that muscle has to be put in good use, right?" Miss Keane giggled, causing Butch to look at the tall woman with a half-lidded stare. Miss Keane sighed. "Well, I like to do a couple of them each morning."
Butch still wasn't sure what to make of all this as he frowned. "Wh-whatever. I'm too angry to think..."
The short green wearing Rowdyruff held his head and rubbed it as Miss Keane noted the boy's attitude... then she got an idea. "Why don't you join me in exercising, then, Butch? Maybe we can unleash some of that anger?"
Butch could only scoff. "I'm a rage-filled machine! Nothing can stop my anger."
"We'll see about that." Miss Keane giggled as she led Butch to the hanging punching bag in the room. "Why don't we start with something simple for now? You said you're feeling angry, right? Angry enough to... punch something?"
"Always." Butch sneered at the woman.
Miss Keane smiled as she patted the hard bag. "Well, sometimes, whenever I feel a little moody in the morning, this is where I always go to vent most of my anger out. Sometimes, it usually perks up my bad mood..."
Butch scoffed as he looked at the bag. "Punching a sandbag? I can eviscerate it, no problem!"
"Well, I know you probably could, Butch, but... maybe we should take it slow at first? Don't just punch it right away and destroy it. Just take a deep breath and visualize all of the problems you think you're angry at over this one punching bag." Miss Keane said as she helped position Butch, much to his annoyance.
"And how do I do that?" Butch asked.
"Well, ask yourself this? Why are you angry? Or rather, why do you think you're angry? What are you angry at?" Miss Keane advised as Butch turned towards the punching bag. "Look at the punching bag and visualize to who, what or whom you're angry at."
Butch took a few deep breaths as he examined the punching bag... and imagined all the things that he was always angry at... his brothers... the sun shining on his face... the Powerpuff Girls outbesting them... people throwing rocks at the boys whenever they found themselves getting caught writing graffiti on the walls... his eyes popped open with a flaming rage inside as he slammed his arm right on the punching bag.
Had it not been tied down to the ceiling, it would have flown off the hinges it was hanging on. However, Butch took a few deep breaths as he used his little arms to slam them into the punching bag, breathing in and out as he seemed to be letting all of his rage flow. Miss Keane seemed rather surprised as she watched Butch slam his fists rather hard at the punching bag, before giving a small smile.
"Poor boy seems to have a bit of a rage problem... but he is willing to listen. Maybe if I make him comfortable in this room..." Miss Keane thought to herself as Butch was taking a few deep breaths as he stared at the bag, showing that it had a bit of battering within.
Butch paused as he looked at his arms and... somehow, he was feeling a little... calmer? Still a bit of rage, but not as much as he felt each and every day. Miss Keane leaned over and gave a smile towards the boy. "Anything else you want to try out in this little room?"
The short green wearing Rowdyruff looked around at the small gymnasium as now that most of his rage was gone, he seemed a little more excited at seeing the machines and gymnasium in front of him. The young boy paused before looking at the dumbbells in front of him as he flew over to them. "I would LOVE to lift these. I bet I can do so easily."
Miss Keane giggled as Butch laid down in the training bench as he lifted both dumbbells pretty easily (as to be expected, since super strength WAS one of the Rowdyruff's special powers). "Let's see if you bench press to a hundred."
Butch smirked as he turned to Miss Keane. "Lady, you just got yourself a challenge."
Miss Keane smiled before picking up some dumbbells. "I already got my exercise, but I'm willing to lift some more. Let me see if I can beat your counting."
Butch laughed a bit. "You'll never keep up with me! 1, 2, 3..."
As Butch was using both arms to pump the dumbbells up, Miss Keane was doing her similar exercises of her own as she couldn't help but smile. As for Butch, he was rather dumbfounded, but yet, feeling a little... happier. It was like, being in this small gymnasium opened up a lot of possibilities. The fact that this one lady could help find something in common... she had to admit, this Miss Keane was pretty tough.
As soon as the two were done in the gym, Miss Keane and Butch were seen laughing together as they went into the kitchen before Miss Keane pulled out a few sliced fruits from the fridge and almond milk, before putting them in a blender. Butch looked curious as he asked, "What are you doing?"
"Well, after a morning workout, I always make one of my own healthy smoothies to get me started. Most people do coffee in the morning, and while I don't mind a cup once a week, smoothies are usually my go-to!" Miss Keane smiled as she started to mix the drink in the blender, waiting a few seconds before turning the blender off and pouring a cup for herself. "Do you want one?"
Butch paused slightly, before saying, "Uh, sure."
Miss Keane pulled out another glass and poured another smoothie in that one, before handing it to Butch. Butch paused as he looked at the smoothie, before opening his mouth and taking a sip. Somehow, he felt a lot more... energized and... was he feeling a small smile on his face. Butch laughed before slowly gulping down the rest of the smoothie, before putting it down on the table, giving a sigh.
"Goodness, you must have been really thirsty." Miss Keane giggled as she patted the boy on the head.
Butch smiled nervously, before pausing. "I have to admit, this... exercising thing... it does make me feel a little better... uh, can we do it again tomorrow?"
Miss Keane looked rather surprised as she saw Butch's rather curious face, almost as if he wanted more. Miss Keane gave a giggle before patting him on the head. "If you want to, we can. It's always been a morning routine for me, so... maybe it can be YOUR morning routine as well..."
Butch paused slightly, before giving a smile. He paused as he gave a nod, before leaving the room to leave Miss Keane to make breakfast for the boys. As he went out the door, he noted Boomer slightly awake and petting Valentino as he purred. Boomer looked up, a little nervous to see Butch... only to stop as he noted the smile on the boy's face... which wasn't a sneer or anything, but rather... as excitable as Boomer's would be if he saw something amazing.
"Looks like someone's having a good morning..." Boomer said as Butch stopped and looked at his brother.
Butch slightly paused, before giving a smile. "Yeah, I guess I am. How's your leg, bro?"
"A little better, but needs time to heal." Boomer said as Butch grabbed the remote and turned on the TV to watch some cartoons.
"Great." Butch said as he settled himself in front of the couch as he and Boomer watched TV... as he did so, he couldn't help but look back towards Miss Keane as she was making breakfast. He wasn't sure what to make of her right now, but he will admit, she and him did have a slight bond when it came to... this 'exercising' routine... and he was more than eager to work out again tomorrow morning.
And with that, this chapter is complete! How did you guys like it? Next time, we'll be going back to the Powerpuff Girls, and who knows? Maybe more with the Rowdyruffs and Miss Keane! We'll have to see what happens! Anyway, read, review, criticize and suggest, folks!
