Hi there everyone!

I am so sorry I didn't get this chapter up sooner... It's been pretty hectic on my side, and I'm also a lazy bum XD Basically my laptop broke and I have been without it for months now. And I still don't have a new one! I have also now started College, and that takes up a lot of my time. But I will try and get chapters out slowly but surely!

Please enjoy this chapter!

Chapter Four

Link moved down the hall, trying to curb his fears by amusing himself at the thought of what could lay at the end. Could it be an evil boss from his past, back for round two? Could it be a new monster? The strange people who had knocked him out? Maybe some rescuers? Perhaps sat with a large feast, making preparations to take him home? Or even better, Zelda? The real one?

He wished.

The fact that he had no weapons to use if he needed to weighed heavily on his mind, dragging what little optimism he had down and out of his body. The only thought he had to comfort himself with was that he had been trained to use anything as a weapon, even his hands. If there was something or someone on the other side that wished to harm him, he would at least be able to fight back, if not with something he could grab off the side like a book or a candle, for example, he would still be able to put up a good fight with his fists. For a while, anyway.

As Link was about to stop and turn around and go back the way he had come, the darkness gave way, and he was able to see another door, exactly like the one to the room he had awaken in. Giving himself a few seconds to mentally prepare himself for what could be on the other side, he pushed open the door.

His eyes widened slightly when he saw what was on the other side. In the room was a bed, a bookcase, desk and chair, and a large picture showing three women. Was it the same room as before?

Link shook his head. It wasn't unusual for people to have two rooms the same, especially if it was an inn or something like that.

He stepped forwards, and that was when he saw the book. It was lying on the floor by the bed, the pages splayed open, exactly where he had tossed it in the other room. Confused, he walked to the book and picked it up. The words still made no sense to him, though. He tossed it onto the bed.

What was going on here? Link could've sworn he had been walking in a straight line. He had not turned, and the corridor hadn't curved either.

He suddenly felt an immense feeling that there was someone behind him, and he quickly span around. To his utmost horror, stood in the doorway was a young girl with a child at her hip.

"Ah!" Link cried, jumping back and falling over. He cursed himself, for being so stupid. Had the girl come to kill him, she would have an opening right now. Luckily for him, the girl (She looked older than him, he decided. Maybe about eighteen or nineteen) did not smile or laugh at him falling over, and did not move to help either. Link scrambled to his feet, and peered at the girl with a hesitant curiosity. She had long brown hair thrown up into a bun, and eyes that seemed to be a pearlescent mix of green, yellow and red. She wore a basic gown made of the same grey material his clothes were made of. The young child she held looked like an almost exact carbon-copy of her, just smaller.

"Who are you?" Link asked. The girl continued to stare at him, not replying. Link blinked.

"Where am I?" He tried again. Again, the girl just stared. The child at her hip gurgled something that sounded like baby gibberish, and the girl dropped her eyes to the child.

"Shhay, Abrel," the girl spoke, "Eway illway aketay ethay anmay otay ethay Eldersway."

Link stared at her. What had she just said? What language was that even? He had never been taught it. Zelda would probably know; she was much smarter than him, and had read a lot of books about the surface. Goddess, he wished she was here.

The girl flicked her eyes back to Link, and beckoned him towards her with a finger. Link blinked, not sure if he should follow the girl. After weighing up the pros (namely getting out of this room) and cons (Getting killed; that was a pretty big one) quickly, he decided that this girl would know the way out. He moved towards her, and to his surprise she grabbed his arm in a vice-like grip.

She pulled him out of the door, and they started to walk down a corridor. Link wondered if she knew it went no-where.

"Um," he started. "You know this corridor goes no-where, right? It's a dead end. D-E-A-D," he spelt out slowly, "E-N-D."

The girl ignored him, and they came to the end of the corridor much quicker than he had before. The girl let go of Link to open the door, and to Link's surprise there was a different room on the other side, this one with a few girls in.

They were dressed like the girl who had brought him here, but they all had different hair colours and styles. They all seemed to have the same green/yellow/red eyes though.

"Isway isthay ethay isonerpray?" A blonde girl asked, coming up to them and looking at Link. The girl stood next to him nodded.

"Esyay, e'shay ethay isonerpray," she responded. "E'reway akingtay imhay otay eesay ethay Eldersway."

"E'shay indkay ofway andsomehay, on'tday ouyay inkthay?" Another girl with red hair in plaits said. The blonde girl smacked her playfully.

"Joole! E'shay oneway ofway ethay yskay eoplepay!" The blonde girl scolded with a laugh whilst the red-headed girl grinned. "On'tday aysay atthay!"

"Joole, Saryle," the girl at Link's side said, and Link guessed these where the two girls names. "Eway ustmay ogay. Ethay Eldersway areway expectingway ethay yskay oybay."

The two girls muttered something back, and went back to whatever they had been doing before. The girl grabbed Link's arm again, this time more gently, and dragged him out of the room and into another corridor. Link decided being dragged around was getting old, and he stopped, grabbing the girl's wrist. She let out a little gasp as he pulled, turning her towards him.

"Excuse me, please could you tell me where you're taking me?" Link tried again, his eyes searching hers. For a long moment, it seemed that she would not answer him. Then, she opened her mouth.

"Please, let go of me!" She said in a heavily accented voice. Link let go of her wrist, partially to honour her request and partially in shock. "My name is Faale," she paused as if thinking whether she should continue to talk. "And this is my sister Abrel. I cannot explain much here. Just know, that I'm trying to help you."

"Help me?" Link repeated. Faale glanced round to check no one was listening.

"Yes. You see, our people are the people of Hylia, though to have been killed after Demise attacked all those years ago. But our ancestors, the ones who were not saved, did not die. They fled, and managed to stay alive. Once Demise was defeated, we came back to find the Goddess gone as well," Faale breathed out in anger. "Our people were left on the surface to starve. We were left to die, whilst your race, the superior race, it seems, were taken to the sky and given luxuries my ancestors could only see in their wildest dreams. Now you have found your way to the surface, and are taking over our land, the land we have fought so hard over the years to live off of. As you can probably tell, our people are not best pleased."

"But why target us now?" Link responded, hands on hips. "My people, the Skyloftians who have come to the land, we have not done anything wrong. Is it really fair to place the blame of something our ancestors had no say about on us now?"

Faale shook her head.

"I do not hold a grudge against you. Neither to the other girls. It's the Elders. They are the ones who hold a grudge."

"Can't you speak to them?" Link tried. "Surely if all of you tell them that my people are not evil, or bad, or whatever you think we are then they will stop targeting us and we can all live in peace?"

Faale shook her head again, pulling Abrel further up on her hip.

"I do not think the Elders are themselves. I think they have been charmed by something, or someone."

"Your people have magic, do they not?" Link blinked at the girl. "Surely you can take them out of whatever spell they are under?"

"It's not that simple," Faale dropped her eyes to the floor. "Whereas the warriors have powers, us girls do not. I think they have also been spelled to think that your people are a threat and should be gotten rid of."

"So it's everyone who could fight back?"

"Yes."

"Wait," Link ran a hand through his hair, looking suspiciously at the girl. "If the Elders are bad, why are you taking me to see them?"

"We cannot show them that we know something is wrong," Faale explained. "We must carry on as normal. But as I was saying before, I am trying to help you. Here is what you must say to the Elders. Listen well."

If you were curious, Faale is pronnouce 'Fay-el' and Abrel is proonouced 'Abb-rel'.

The language that they are speaking is Pig Latin! Here are the translations in order of what is said:

Shh, Abrel. We will take the man to the Elders.

Is this the prisoner?

Yes, he's the prisoner. We're taking him to see the Elders.

He's kind of handsome, Don't you think?

He's one of the sky people! Don't say that!

We must go. The Elders are expecting the sky boy.
