I sat across from Dean, watching as he circled stuff in the newspaper. They had been training me for about a week now and we were currently looking for our next hunt.

A waitress walked up and I glanced at her as she spoke. Her name tag said that she was called Wendy. "Can I get you anything else?"

Dean looked up at her, grinning around the pen he was chewing on and I grimaced. He seemed to hit on every pretty girl he saw.

"Just the check, please." Sam said as he came over and sat down next to me.

"Okay." Wendy said cheerfully before walking away.

Dean dropped his head, then looked at Sam. "You know, Sam, we are allowed to have fun once in a while." He pointed to Wendy as she walked away. "That's fun."

I chuckled as Sam stared at Dean in disbelief.

Dean sighed and handed the newspaper over to Sam. "Here, take a look at this, I think I got one. Lake Manitoc, Wisconsin. Last week Sophie Carlton, eighteen, walks into the lake, doesn't walk out. Authorities dragged the water; nothing. Sophie Carlton is the third Lake Manitoc drowning this year. None of the other bodies were found either. They had a funeral two days ago."

"A funeral?" Sam asked, looking at Dean with confusion.

"Yeah, it's weird, they buried an empty coffin. For, uh, closure or whatever." Dean told him, looking up.

"Closure? What closure? People don't just disappear, Dean. Other people just stop looking for them." Sam snapped and I frowned. Why was he yelling at him. It's not like he was the one who was burying an empty coffin.

"Something you want to say to me?" Dean demanded, interlacing his fingers and resting his elbows on the table.

"The trail for Dad. It's getting colder every day." Sam said and I leaned back in my seat, looking at Dean.

"Exactly. So what are we supposed to do?" Dean demanded.

"I don't know. Something. Anything." Sam snapped.

"You know what? I'm sick of this attitude. You don't think I wanna find Dad as much as you do?" Dean asked angrily, throwing his hands up.

"Yeah, I know you do, it's just—" Sam started, but Dean cut him off.

"I'm the one that's been with him every single day for the past two years, while you've been off to college going to pep rallies. We will find Dad, but until then, we're gonna kill everything bad between here and there. Okay?"

I watched Sam roll his eyes and a moment later Wendy walked by, distracting Dean. I grimaced at him.

"All right, Lake Manitoc. Hey!" Sam said, snapping his fingers in front of Dean's face.

Dean's attention returned to Sam. "Huh?"

I rolled my eyes. "How far?"

"It's about a two hours drive from here." Dean said and I nodded.

"Let's go then."

Sam sighed, but slid out of the booth and I quickly followed. Dean was right behind us and as we got to the Impala, Sam got in the passenger's side and Dean got in the driver's side while I climbed in back.

Later we had arrived at Lake Manitoc and were in front of the Carlton's house.

As soon as we were at the door Dean knocked and a young boy who was a bit older than me, opened it.

"Will Carlton?" Dean asked, flashing a fake badge.

"Yeah, that's right." He said, his eyes lingering on me for a moment longer than necessary.

"I'm Agent Ford. This is Agent Hamill." Dean introduced. "And this is our intern Smith. "We're with the US Wildlife Service." Dean held up a fake ID.

(Sorry that it's so short. I just wanted to get more of the story out since I haven't posted in a while. Please review.)
